I hope you enjoy this little Extra. May you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
"Tonight was pretty fun, Pumpkin," laughed Misty as she walked arm-in-arm with Erika. Misty wore a black dress that fitted nicely around her swimmer's body. She looked rather dressed up compare to her normal attire with her hair fixed up and necklaces around her neck.
"I am glad that you did…I was a bit worry that you would not enjoy it," smiled Erika who looked rather close to Misty. Erika was dressed in a black kimono that had pink sakura petals stitched on it. The under kimono had pink frills that complimented the kimono. "I know you do not dress up often but the Celadon Holiday Gala has a formal dress code."
"Really? Girl, it is fine! I am willing to get all dress up for you," laughed Misty as she gave a cheeky smile to Erika. She then wrapped an arm over Erika's shoulders to bring the shorter women in closer to ruffle up her hair.
"Misty…!" giggled Erika as she tried to pull back. Eventually Misty had stopped which gave Erika the chance to fix her hair.
Misty simply laughed as the two began to exit out of Celadon Grand Hotel. Many people dress in their finest were on their way out or in conversation with each other. Many had smiled and wish Erika a good night but the kimono dressed woman simply smiled back in order to return her attention to Misty. Eventually the two had put on their coats and walked to a black car that was there to pick up the couple.
"I am glad that you accepted my invitation to come as my date for this," smiled Erika as they stood next to the car.
"Heh~ No problem, Pumpkin. It was pretty fun," smiled Misty as she rubbed her finger under her nose. The two girl's breath could be seen in the cold weather. "I saw a few cute guys here so it wasn't all bad."
"Oh…I thought you would have liked that," smiled Erika lightly as she looked to the side to hide part of her face.
"But none of them were as good as you!" laughed Misty as she lean in closer to Erika. "And you were a pretty great dancer too. Maybe I should start calling you Twinkletoes from now on."
"Well, a lady should know how to be light on their feet," giggled Erika as she raised a hand to cover her mouth. Her cheer looked to have returned with the last comment Misty said.
"I guess we should start getting home. It is pretty late and my car is at your place," said Misty as she saw a maid had gotten out of the driver seat of the car.
"Not just yet," said Erika as she looked at the maid. "I have something for you Misty."
"Oh? Okay. What is it?" asked Misty who looked a bit surprised.
Erika had opened the door to the back seats of the car and soon retrieved a wrapped gift. The box was no bigger than two feet and Erika had to use both hands to carry it. Erika had a wide smile on her face as she walked back to be in front of Misty.
"I have a gift for you…!" smiled Erika widely.
"Wow! A little early but that is fine with me. You know how much I love Christmas," said Misty as reached out for the box in Erika's hands. She was just about to rip the wrapping off until Erika interrupted her.
"Misty, please wait…," said Erika as she went back into the car and retrieved another wrapped box. She held it in her hands and said, "The gift I have is for you…The one you have is for me."
"What?" said Misty as she looked down at the box to see it had Erika's name on it as the person who was to receive the gift. "What is going on, Pumpkin?"
"Well, I remember seeing you and Janine were having difficulties purchasing a gift for me at the Department Store so…I took the liberty to get you a gift to give to me," said Erika as she hid her face behind the gift that she had in her hands. "But…Do not worry…The gift I have is for you so…So, you will actually receive two gifts in a way."
"Erika," laughed Misty after she heard Erika's explanation. She couldn't believe that Erika went through all this trouble just to make sure Misty had a gift to give. "That is kind of cute. Well, how about we exchange these things then! Here you go!"
The two handed each other gift to the other. Misty quickly ripped the wrapping paper off. She then opened the box to be greeted by a doll that looked just like Erika down to the kimono and the little geta sandals on her feet. It had Erika's sweet smile embroiled on the face which made Misty grin.
"They are dolls…!" exclaimed Erika happily. She had in her hands a doll version of Misty. It wore a swimsuit just like the one Misty wore and had a wide smile that showed its teeth. "Now…Even if we are apart, we can always have each other close by."
"Aww! Erika!" laughed Misty as she ran up to give the young lady a hug. "I love it. I am not a doll person but these are pretty sweet. Now, hold on."
Misty began to dig in her purse for something. It took some time but Misty was able to pull out a rectangular box.
"I know it is early but I had just gotten this before coming over," smiled Misty as she gave it to Erika. "Sorry for not having it wrapped. I hope you like it."
"Misty…," smiled Erika as she opened the box. Inside the box was a silver necklace with a heart shaped locket that hung from it. Erika pried the locket open to see that there was no picture in it.
"Sorry. Like I said, I had just got it but I promise to put a picture of us in there!" apologized Misty as she laughed nervously.
"Misty, I love it…!" said Erika as she took a deep breath and held the gift close to her heart. "Could you please put it on me?"
"Yeah. No problem!" smiled Misty as she took the necklace from Erika. She then walked behind her and began to hook it around Erika's neck. "There you go, Pumpkin! I am glad you like it. Though, could you wear it under your kimono? That would be nice."
"Hmm…I understand. I will cherish this gift with all my heart…," smiled Erika as she nodded slowly. "Though, now I suppose we should go. You do have quite the drive back home."
"You know what, Pumpkin? I think I will stay overnight at your place. If that is okay with you," smiled Misty. She gave a loud and obvious fake yawn before she wrapped her arms around Erika from behind. "I am pretty tired!"
"I would not mind that. In fact, I would love if you did," smiled Erika as she lean against Misty. She held on tightly to the Misty doll with both hands and dropped them next to Misty's hands which held the Erika doll. Together they were next to each other with loving smiles.
