Chapter 11: Oh the Irony of It All
I blinked and for a minute I was confused. What was Shera doing here? But then I realized I wasn't looking at my mother, but Lium's mother Sparkle. Oopsy.
"WHAT did you do to my poor Lium!" She wailed.
I was in big trouble. Slowly I licked the blood from my mouth and nose. "Oh uh hello Sparkle," I gave a nervous chuckle, but Sparkle cut me off. Well, kind of. Her way of "cutting me off" was flying at me with slashing claws and snapping jaws. Eeeek! I had completely forgotten about his mother!
"Sparkle stop!"
A claw rake across my flanks.
"Sparkle he deserved it!"
A blow to my muzzle that sent me reeling backwards. I soon realized I would be no match for this Crazy lioness and fled, beckoning my Pride with me. We ran past Queen, Vashti, Blue, and Leaf. Suddenly I saw a sight that made my blood boil.
Once-beautiful emerald eyes stared blankly at me from a position on the ground. Paws lay stiffly at the sides of a beautiful light tan pelt. A tail lay limply on the ground. Jaws parted in a silent wail of agony. The once-sweet scent of my mother was tainted by the scent of Blood and Death.
It didn't take a genious to figure it out. Lium had made sure to kill my mother before even coming to face me. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
I roared in grief and agony, startling every lion around me. I wanted to rip my claws through someone's pelt, and fast. I quickly had an idea. I padded slowly over to where Lium's body was lying on the ground. Vashti started to follow me but I stopped her with a wave of my tail.
The blood boiled in my veins, and my heart pumped the adrenaline through my body so fast I didn't know if I would be able to contain it. What I was about to do would be a bad thing for any lion to see. I just hoped that Storm or Aniya wouldn't suddenly show up.
I sneered down at the pitiful face of Lium. Blank, dark eyes stared back at me. His jaws were still open from his wailing, and his tongue was hanging out the side of his mouth stiffly. Well, as I said before, what was left of his tongue. Blood still dripped out of his mouth, even though he was dead. Well, it's a good thing he WAS dead, because I'm going to shred him!
And shred him I did. First I raked my claws against his flank, again and again and again and again and again! I had digged deep enough that his ribcage was half jutting out, and I could almost see through to the inside of his body. I growled fiercely and slashed his belly open. I slashed until his insides were nothing more than a few scattered pieces lying on the ground. I went to his chest, and tore open the skin with my teeth this time, pulling it away from the muscles underneath. I raked my claws against his heart, shredding it. I kicked it away with my back feet and smashed my paws against his skull, snarling satisfyingly when I kept hearing that deafening CRACK of bones breaking. I looked at Lium.
"NO death could ever be as much as you deserved! You're lucky you were dead before I did this!"
I then turned and kicked dirt and grass on him. His carcass could sit and rot and have vultures eating it for all I cared. I hadn't even thought of his cub or mate. I figured he got what he deserved.
"VERY good, Binca. "
I snarled angrily and slashed my claws against the ground, not realizing who was talking to me. "My name is Bianca!" I did everyone say my name wrong?! I decided that the last good part of me had died with my mother that day. All was left was hate and the need for vengeance.
"Well then Zira. You don't think I was that stupid did you? That I would willingly come to you and offer myself up for an execution?" the voice laughed, and for some unknown reason it sent chills up my spine. "Oh no, Zira. I am much smarter than that. I must say, though, Lake did a good job of imitating me. We will have our battle NOW, when we are matched evenly: one against one."
With those words, a very familiar looking lion stepped out of the shadows. It was Lium!
AN: Yes I put you on a cliff hanger. But do you really think that Lium would just die so easily? Oh no. He got himself a lion of his Loyal Followers to act like him. Just in case any of you were confused. ; ) REVIEW! Review review review review review!
