-Chapter 11-

Erm... well hi there. Haven't talked to y'all in... like... a month or so. o.o My excuse this time, being teenage drama. You teens know what that's like, right? Anyway, here's the new chapter. ^.^ I know it doesn't seem like it, but I do promise to finish this story, because I hate leaving a story unfinished~ D;

-In Ember's Realm-

"Alright, alright, where are the guitar plan things and the actual guitar?" Danny wondered out loud while searching high and low throughout the realm.

After half an hour or so of searching, Danny had finally found them in the random drawer he stuffed them in earlier. "Guitar... guitar... guitar... where the hell is it?!" Danny panicked. 'Ember won't give a damn if we never switch back compared to me losing her guitar!' Danny thought in terror. "She's going to waste me!" Danny continued to panic, looking in every corner except in the room that has an actual sign that says for no one to go in.

Danny sighed slowly and calmly, "People always tell you to retrace your steps if you lose something, right?" Danny's mind drifted off to the last time he wore the guitar around his neck, which was yesterday.

-Flashback-

"Danny, you're gorgeous! Had to say it! You look adorable!" Kitty squeaked, approving as she circled Ember. "Ember, get the hell out here!"

Danny still didn't move from his spot. Kitty came and took Ember's guitar from around his neck and went to go put it in another room, away from "Ember". When Kitty came back, she grabbed "Ember's" arm by force and dragged Danny out by force in front of Ember.

"Don't you two look charming?" Kitty rhetorically asked, smiling at them both.

-Flashback End-

"Oh yeah, that's what happened. Well, where did Kitty take the guitar to?" Danny asked out loud, as if he hoped someone to answer.

Danny uneasily scratched the side of his head as he opened the door with the sign that said, "Go in this room and I'll know you have a death wish." Danny was only going in the room to quickly see if Ember's guitar was in there, but at the same, since first stepping into the realm he had always wondered what hid behind the forbidden door.

Danny looked left, right, up and down. It was a small hallway that was filled with photos, posters and endless amounts of albums. There were photos and pictures from Ember's human life, too. There were a lot more from her ghost life. A few newspaper cut-outs were also there with news about him, her, some of her ghost attacks, some of her concerts there and some of the damage after their battles.

What scared every bit of courage left in Danny was that his phone abruptly rang and as soon as he answered it, it was Ember.

"DIPSTICK, I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND IF IT'S IMPORTANT OR NOT, BUT GO TO MY REALM RIGHT NOW AND BEAT EVERY BIT OF GHOST LEFT IN WHOEVER'S IN THERE." Ember screamed breathlessly through the phone.

"Don't panic, Ember. It's only me." Danny said but wished he hadn't.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN THERE!? DO NOT TOUCH HELL, GOT IT!? AND LEAVE NOW." Ember continued to yell. "I SWEAR TO GOD, I'M GOING TO TURN YOU FULL GHOST THE NEXT TIME I SEE YOU!"

"Not trying to piss you off, but I'm already a full ghost. And I doubt you'll want to hurt your own pretty face." Danny mentioned, not realising what he admitted.

'He called me pretty, right?' Ember asked herself, double checking what just happened.

"A-Anyway, I was only going in here because I think Kitty left your guitar here. I'll be right out, no problem at all." Danny reassured as he hung up. 'How did she even know someone was in here? Are there cameras installed in her mind of something?' Danny wondered feeling a little intimidated.

Halfway through the hallway, laid Ember's guitar on the left wall, that was next to a few Avril Lavigne albums, Mayday Parade albums and an All Time Low album. As Danny picked up the guitar, the knob for selecting what spell to use fell off. Danny wondered how it came off so easily, but then shook off the thought when he stuck it back on and brought it back to the lounge where the guitar plans were.

Danny looked at the circled specifications on the piece of paper and wondered how he should start. "Hmm... should I do this thingy or this doohickey first? Or am I supposed to fix this blue wire... or these wires? Oh wait... they're the guitar strings. Do I touch the guitar strings? What if I wreck the tuning of it? There's a grey wire, too. These plans aren't helping at all. What the hell is a pickup? A tailpiece? Saddles? What the... ? Is this even in English?..." Danny numerously questioned, extremely confused. 'If I do this bit by little bit, then it won't look as complicated, right? When I told Ember I could play guitar, I didn't think I was going to have to prove that in any way.'

Danny looked at the instrument intently and all around it. "... How do you open this thing?" Danny asked out loud, wide-eyed and uneasy. 'Maybe I should call Ember.' Danny went through the contacts to find his name and called. Within two beeps Ember picked up.

"You better be out that room or else." Ember mumbled through the rough connection.

"What the hell happened to 'hello'?" Danny sarcastically asked.

"What the hell happened to your arm? Oh that's right, I'm trying to break it as we speak." Ember retorted gleefully.

"Look, I only called because I have a question," Danny looked down at the guitar plans again, "Actually... I have a lot of questions." Danny corrected, feeling awkward.

"Go ahead." Ember agreed, listening attentively.

After twenty or so minutes of Ember explaining to Danny the anatomy of her guitar, Danny understood the gist of what he was dealing with and concluded with, "So, what's basically happening is... you gave me these plans and your guitar and expect a complete dipstick like me to be able to fix a really complicated ghost energy built guitar."

"Yes," Ember answered, shrugging idly. "Just attempt it, will you?"

"Alright, alright..." Danny agreed to have a shot at fixing it.

"Oh, and one more thing: if you break anything on my guitar or chip one little bit, I'll make sure you don't want to go back in your body."

"What's with threats and you?"

"It's a gift, really." Ember smirked and hung up.

"And as I guessed, there was no 'goodbye' either." Danny shook his head.

It took Danny an entire two hours... but he finally was able to understand what the first instruction was: "Remove guitar switch tips (grey and black 2.015n and 244.0y first, of course) and use ghost instrumental tool 244EmDp to remove guitar knob 3.0's left side by exactly 74 degrees in the north-west direction." Danny understood it, though that didn't mean he knew how to do it.

"Well, I gave it a shot and failed. At least I tried!" Danny gave up and put the guitar plans back into the drawer and the guitar around his neck.

-In the morning with Ember-

"That amazing moment when you wake up early and realise it's Saturday..." Ember mumbled happily, no longer having to wake up at seven o'clock in the morning for one of the main reasons why not to be a teenager; school. Before Ember got the chance to go back to sleep, her ghost sense went off. 'It's probably only the box ghost or something... it doesn't matter.'

Ember was a few minutes from drifting off into sleep, when she heard a rough knock against the door. It was a panicked, yet low type of knock. "Come back tomorrow!" Ember yelled, grabbing the pillow from underneath her head to slam it on top of her head to block out the further knocking.

"Danny, are you being for real right now?" Tucker asked through the door and within three minutes of waiting, Tucker burst in uninvited and grabbed the pillow forcefully from the top of Ember's head.

"Geez, I don't crash in to your room unexpectedly and wake you up, do I!?" Ember complained, yawning loudly.

"Well, sorry, Sleeping Beauty." Tucker over exaggerated, rolling his eyes in annoyance.

"What's so important you had to wake me up?" Ember asked a little more calmly, rubbing her eyes roughly from being suddenly woken.

"Well, since there's a ghost causing terror outside and in Amity, then I thought I should inform Danny Phantom," Tucker explained sarcastically as he added, "GET UP!"

"You can't come barging in here this early!" Ember complained, getting up lazily.

"Early? Dude, check your time. Last I checked it was around lunch. And by the way, I last checked the time five minutes ago." Commented Tucker in astonishment.

"Lunch?" Ember asked confused. "I slept for that long?"

"What time did you come back from your date?" Tucker asked as he saw "Danny" go ghost.

"How am I supposed to know? I'm going to go stop the ghost." Ember stated as she flew out the window, and within two minutes she found the ghost who was wrecking Amity.

It's a ghost she didn't know personally, but she'd heard about the ghost before: Vlad Plasmius.

"Oh, Daniel, I've been waiting for you for a while now. You've never been this late before!" Vlad commented, right before his cliché evil laugh following his evil smirk.

"Erm... sorry." Ember apologised with a confused face.

"What? No clever comment? No witty banter? And here I was, looking forward to that." Vlad commented with his smug-ass tone of voice.

Ember didn't know what to say. She couldn't say anything to Vlad, she couldn't attack him, and she couldn't ask anything. All she could do was wait and see what he wanted.

"Well, you're clearly boring me. Daniel, I'll be frank here, there's a little project I'm working on in the Ghost Zone and I'd prefer it if you stayed out of my way." Vlad said, floating slightly closer to Ember, making her feel intimidated.

"Um..." Ember murmured uncomfortably. 'I know Dipstick wouldn't agree to it, but I can't say that because then he'll attack me and I have barely practised my basic ghost powers well enough yet!' Ember panicked. 'Then again, whenever the hell... have I said no to a fight?'

"I grow tired of this little quiet game, Daniel." Vlad said as he shot wide pink ecto energy blasts towards Ember.

By reaction, Ember opened up a small but helpful green ghost shield which deflected the blasts easily.

Ember readied a fighting stance.

"Look who finally looks like they're prepared to fight." Vlad teased as he readied his own stance.

"What little project are you on about in the Ghost Zone? What do you want?!" Ember asked heroically as Danny probably would.

"You see, little badger, I want complete control over the Ghost Zone and this little pathetic girl is going to blindly help me with it. I'd also like you to be my apprentice, Jack dead, and Maddie in my arms."

'Who the hell are Jack and Maddie?' Ember wondered confusedly. 'What would Dipstick normally say next?' Ember thought for a bit.

"Oh, Daniel, this looks embarrassing. You've never taken this long to come up with something witty." Vlad smirked.

Usually, Ember would always have a witty comeback within nanoseconds, but the comebacks she would usually say wouldn't be Danny's style, so she felt she shouldn't use them. 'The dipstick's usually self-confident and boastful, isn't he?' Ember realised, and then said, "So, how long is this conversation going to take? I'm really tired, but if it's you, then it'll be enough energy, no problem."

"You seem very self-confident, considering I'm your opponent." Vlad said raising an eyebrow as he charged up a large pink ecto ball in-between both of his hands, powering it up as it grew in size.

'Wow, okay... I can't use my guitar as a baseball bat.' Ember thought quickly as she dodged the ecto energy ball just in time. Ember turned her head to see the ecto ball destroy a red car nearby, and as soon as Ember turned her head back around, Vlad was one second away from punching her in the face. Ember to tumble backwards into two silver trashcans.

"Ah, little badger, you don't seem like you're really interested in this battle. Or are you just losing because you are?" Vlad asked, along with his continuous smirk.

"You know, you're really pissing me off." Ember shouted, shooting up and out of the pile of trash cans.

"Tsk tsk, Daniel. Bad language is prohibited at your age. I should tell your mother and-"

Before Vlad could finish, he noticed that "Daniel" was heading towards him with a proud and smug smile, point-blankly kicking his chest.

Vlad cried a brief yell as he was bolted a few feet back.

"Lucky kick," Mumbled Vlad as he got up slowly, "Mind if I try?"

It didn't take Ember long to figure out Vlad was going to try striking again, but even though she knew it was about to happen, she couldn't dodge it because he was quick. Ember quickly recovered in time to block a quick attack from Vlad again.

Ember felt it was the right time to throw a strong uppercut at Vlad's jaw and Vlad retorted with a quick energy strike to Ember's gut, then a strong ghost stinger which drained "Danny's" ghost energy slowly and painfully.

"You know, it doesn't have to be like this, Daniel. You could always accept my proposal to be my apprentice. I've honed these skills for twenty years; I could teach you so much." Vlad said approaching Ember, who was in current pain on the floor.

Two rings began to form around Ember and lied there on the floor after was Danny Fenton. Ember groaned as she sat up slowly, feeling straining pain throughout her body.

Vlad played fair for the moment and powered down into his human form and knelt down next to Ember. "Now, what do you say, little badger? Come with uncle Vlad and I'll teach you all I know." Vlad held out his hand consolingly.

'He's the dipstick's uncle!? Wow, when we get married there's no way I'm visiting his family!' Ember thought shockingly. 'Married? Wait, what?'

Vlad stood up, waiting for an answer, still with his hand held out. Ember closed her eyes, rotated her shoulders and turned her neck slightly and heard a small click. Opening her eyes, she did a sudden sweep floor kick and knocked Vlad down. "I'm going ghost!" Ember called out as the two rings formed. Before Vlad was aware of what just happened, he was grabbed by his suit shirt and held up to "Danny's" face.

Ember stood there, thinking. "I'm contemplating on what to do here: I could throw you up in the sky and watch you fall and break your bones; I could blast you into a full ghost; I could throw you numerous times around until I get bored... or," Ember left off as she put Vlad on the floor and didn't give a second thought to overshadow him.

"Wow... this is what it's like being an old gramps?" Ember asked in Vlad's voice. Hilariously, Ember began to prance around the town like this, in Vlad's body. 'Oh, wait, I know this guy!' Ember realised, referring to Vlad's human half, 'I see this dipstick all the time when I raid Amity!'

"Hey, Mayor Vlad, you've done a great job with Amity so far, keep up the good work!" A passing citizen said, smiling brightly.

'Mayor? Oh, this is going to be fun...' Ember thought wickedly as she hoped onto a large platform in the centre of Amity.

"Ahem!" Ember boomed into the microphone, "May I have everyone's attention, please?"

Almost immediately, most of the town's people turned to look at their mayor on top of the high platform with the microphone.

"Now-" Ember stopped suddenly. 'Would baby-pop do this? Humiliate his enemy and ruin their reputation?' Ember continued to think for a moment. 'Of course he would! He threatened to ruin my music career not long ago!' Ember remembered. ("I'm guessing you're not aware I can do the same thing, only difference is you actually have a reputation as 'Ember McLain! Punk Princess!" –Chapter 4)

"I'm sorry, my town's people. What I was going to say, before my mind wondered, was that I am a right crack-pot! And, not only that, but I actually now the ruler of Dipstickania and, if you don't mind, I must be leaving now; Jeffrey, get me my unicorn! I choose to ride my unicorn back to my home." Ember, with that last statement, hopped off the platform with a wide grin and walked off, turning to only glance at the shocked faces in the crowd.

Ember turned around the corner and phased out of Vlad's body. Vlad instantly fell on his knees, a little drained. "Daniel... you didn't need to go to such extreme measures!" Vlad yelled.

"What extreme measures? All that happened was I left that crowd something to laugh about whenever they see you, unicorn-boy." Ember laughed clinging her stomach in laughter at Vlad's new nickname.

"Compared to that, fruit loop isn't so bad now." Vlad mumbled, irritated.

'Fruit loop?' Ember wondered oddly.

"Know this, Daniel. If you come and ruin my plans, I won't be as generous as I have been today." Vlad continued to threaten with, "Instead, I'll throw you at the bottom of the Ghost Zone to see how dark and deep the depths of the Zone really are."

"Uh huh... yeah, and?" Ember asked dully.

"You're not being very entertaining." Vlad commented, raising an eyebrow.

"I publicly humiliated you earlier, how is that not entertainment?" Ember asked sarcastically with a delightful smirk.

"Call it as you will, but I see it as otherwise." With that last remark, Vlad teleported out of sight.

"God, what a baby; wouldn't even try defending himself. And they say Vlad is this 'second King of the Zone' my ass." Ember laughed, shaking her head. 'Should I tell Dipstick that Plasmius is planning-' Ember stopped her train of thought for a moment to rethink what she was saying. 'Am I really going to tell the dipstick, the hero, about what Plasmius, the villain, is doing!?'

Danny's phone rang in Ember's pocket, as Ember was already too used to, "Hello?" Ember asked dully.

"Okay, so, I attempted fixing your guitar."

"AND!?" Ember asked instantaneously, really wanting to change back soon.

"Erm... what's a..." Danny began looking on the guitar instruction sheet to look at what he saw before to fix the body switching knob. "... Oh, this. Yeah, so, what's a 'ghost instrumental tool 244EmDp'?" Danny quoted, reading off the sheet.

"It's an odd shaped instrument tool that has the head of a pink skull, but the bottom of the tool being jet-black, but along the ridge on the bottom left has two oval shaped circles and... why am I bothering telling you this?" Ember asked, face-palming her forehead, a little irritated.

"Uh..." Danny said, feeling the beyond possible level of confusion.

"Nevermind. Besides, I don't have one. I'll come over now and take the plans and go back to Don's realm to find the tool." Ember stated as she hung up to begin flying to the Ghost Zone.
