Hey everyone, Here is the new chapter. Sorry it took me a long time to update. It's just that I'm having trouble thinking where I want to take this story. I'm working on this so be patient with me.
As usual I don't own Brother Conflict.
Tsubaki and Natsume look at each other and sigh in relief, finally their brother is pain free. They both sat down and quietly watch their sleeping brother. Hoping that the next day would be better.
The next day come to slow for Tsubaki. Yesterday Natsume ended up accompanying him after Azusa first side effects. Tsubaki looks over to the figure sleeping on the sofa, said figure is sporting bags under his eyes, no wonder after the rough night. Azusa's couldn't sleep due to the discomfort of the side effects, namely nausea, headaches, and other body aches. To make it worse the doctor couldn't give him anything, except for the headache so Tsubaki and Natsume ended up comforting their siblings each time he didn't feel well.
Tsubaki turns his head back to the figure sleeping on the bed, Azusa finally able to sleep just after midnight, although it couldn't be called a comfortable sleep since he would moan and whimpers in discomfort every so often. Reaching out to his twin head, he brushes a fringe away while his other hand never letting go his brother's.
He heard some rustling coming from the sofa, without turning he greeted his other brother softly, "Morning Natsume. "
Natsume didn't answer since he's yawning, "Morning Tsubaki. " He stretches his body, hearing some bone crack, "Did you manage to sleep?"
Tsubaki shook his head in negative causing his brother to frown, "Tsubaki, you should rest a bit, it won't do you or Azusa any good if you fall sick."
Natsume is prepared to argue with his brother, but much to his surprise Tsubaki nodded and went to kiss Azusa on the forehead before heading to the sofa for some nap. Natsume stood up to give the space for his worn out brother.
Tsubaki was out like a light even when his head hadn't touch the pillow yet. Natsume covered his oldest twin with a blanket before taking Tsubaki previous position beside Azusa Bed. His phone vibrate, asking to be picked. He looked at the screen before moving away from the bed to answer his oldest brother.
"Morning Natsume." His brother voice comes from the line. "How are you?"
Natsume replies to his brother before asking what is up. It seems that his oldest brother didn't know he was in the hospital.
"Jun told me that Azusa is free to go if he wishes so, he only needs to come to the hospitals for check-ups and his next theraphy." Masaomi sounded tired, "Would you be able to pick them up?"
"Sure Masa-nii. Actually I'm here in the hospital so I'll be bringing them back home, should Azusa feel better." Ntsume looks back towards the occupant in the room. After a few other minute, Natsume hangs up and went to sit down.
It was not long until Azusa started to wake up from his sleep. Natsume encourages his brother with soothing words, occasionally rubbing circles on his brother hand.
"Nat…su…me?" Azusa blinks a few times before his eyes could focus on Natsume figure. "Where is Tsubaki?" He slowly looks around, searching for his other half.
Natsume pats his brother, "He's sleeping on the sofa." Gesturing to Tsubaki who is dead asleep.
Azusa looks relived, now having seen his twin. He wanted to talk some more but coughed since his throat is dry.
Luckily Natsume have a cup of water ready for him, "Here Azusa." He offered the cup to Azusa, letting him hold but seeing Azusa tremble, he helps him, "Slowly Azusa, That's it." Natsume watches his brother slowly sipping his water; after he finishes he helped Azusa reclined on the bed before he sat back down again. Azusa send him a look, 'thank you', understanding his brother Natsume inclined his head.
"Azusa, how are you feeling today?"
Azusa seems to ponder before answering, "Not too bad, compare to yesterday that is." Natsume is always better at knowing whether Azusa is lying or not so it is better to answer it truthfully.
"Good, Masa-nii just called me and he was told by your doctor that you are free to go home should you feel better."
Immediately Azusa eyes shine at the prospect of leaving the hospital, "Yes, please." He stare at Natsume, "I don't like the hospital."
Nastume chuckles, "I thought so. Once Tsubaki awakes and you eat breakfast AND getting a check-up from the doctor, then we will go home." He emphasize on the check-up part.
Azusa sighs dramatically before pouting, "Fine." He said I defeat.
"Good boy!" Natsume grin while ruffling his brother's hair, gaining a tiny glare from Azusa.
The two went on a quiet conversation as not to bother the sleeping figure on the sofa.
It was noon when Tsubaki finally awaken from his sleep. Groaning as he pulled himself to sitting position before putting a hand on his neck to massage it. He was sure that his twin is still asleep on the bed in front of him so imagine his surprise when he saw Azusa sitting on the bed eating his food.
Tsubaki stared at the figure in shock for a minute or two until a chuckling sound from his younger triplet snap him back.
"Close your mouth Tsubaki before flies swarmed in." Natsume teased his brother earning a teasing glare.
Tsubaki went to seat on the chair beside Azusa's bed, opposite Natsume, "How are you this morning?" He asked his twin softly, reaching to hold Azusa's hand.
"I feel much better than before." Smilling at his twin, "I can't wait to go back home."
Laughing at his brother's pout, "I imagine your feelings, you never like going to the hospital." Tsubaki said gently.
"So do you." Both Natsume and Azusa retort to the oldest of the triplet.
The triplet converse for a while, enjoying each other presence. It's been a while since the three of them talk privately and the rare occasion is warly welcomed by the triplets.
"Alright, I'm going to find the doc." Natsume said, answering his brothers confussion when he stood up, "Do you want anything to eat Tsubaki?"
"A sandwich or something would be nice." Natsume acknowledge the order before walking out of the room, leaving Azusa and Tsubaki alone.
Tsubaki watch his brother carefully, "Are you sure, you feel good enough to go home?"
Azusa sighs, as much as he love his brother's protectiveness sometimes it's just too much, "Yes Tsubaki, I feel very well."
"I'm sorry, it's not that I don't trust you."Tsubaki looks down at his lap, "It's just that… I feel it's better in the hospital so that if anything happens, you would be in good hands."
Azusa look at his twin, smiling at his brother though Tsubaki can't see it, "Tsubaki." He calls.
When Tsubaki didn't look up, "Tsubaki." He calls sternly, "Look at me."
Tsubaki lifts up his head to look at his brother, although he is the older one Azusa reigns over him like a mother would to her child.
"Your worry is appreciated but is necessary. I'm fine my dear brother." Azusa assured his twin, "Besides if anything happen, Masa-nii will be there."
Admitting his defeat, Tsubaki sighs with a soft 'Alright'.
"Anyway, I feel that I would recuperate faster at home, rather in this confinement." Azusa glared at his room.
Before Tsubaki could answer, someone has beaten him up to it, "I'm glad to hear that you're feeling well enough to criticise your room Azusa-san." Dr. teased his patient. He was glad to find Azusa looking well. "Alright Azusa-san since you cannot wait to go home, let's get this done and over with."He comes to stand beside Azusa and do a few check-up.
Meanwhile Tsubaki is now standing beside Natsume as the doctor is taking his previous spot. Natsume handed his older twin his meal receiving a grateful nod from Tsubaki. Both watching the doctor fussing on Azusa and Azusa sighs dramatically, annoyed with all the fussing and is itching to go home.
"Alright, as you mention before you are well enough to be released from your confinement."Dr. grin at his patient before turning to look at his patient siblings, "Alright one of you need to come and sign the release form." The doctor bid his patient good-bye before walking out with Natsume trailing behind him.
"Finally." Azusa said, "I can go home now! I miss my bed."
Tsubaki laughs at his brother rare childish attitude, "Alright, I'll pack up your stuff so when the doc comes back we are ready to go."
Tsubaki went and clean up and pack his twin's stuff with Azusa commenting once in a while to remind his brother of some random stuff that he remembered. It was a while before the doctor comes back with Natsume and nurse wheeling a wheel-chair.
Azusa looks flabbergasted by the chair and was about to comment when
"Azusa-san I assure you that the chair is needed for any patient that is discharged so you need not to be embarrassed."
After a few cozxing here and there from his two brothers, Azusa relents and with Tsubaki's help went to sit to the wheelchair. Tsubaki slings his brother bag and walk beside his brother with Natsume on the other side. The doctor accompany them to the lobby before bidding them good-bye. Natsume went to fetch his car so both Azusa and Tsubaki now waits in the lobby for Natusme.
Not long Natsume red car stopped in front and both Tsubaki and the nurse helped Azusa to the car. Tsubaki opted to sit at the back with his brother, though Azusa is feeling well he is by no means strong enough so he leans at Tsubaki and rest his head on his brother shoulder, feeling tired with the activity.
Tsubaki strokes his brother head and told him to go to sleep should he feel sleepy in which Azusa did.
Natsume looks at the back through the mirror and smile at his two older twin, Tsubaki stroking Azusa head with one hand and holding the his twin hand on the other while Azusa sleeps on his shoulder. The ride back home was smooth and for now they enjoy the little peace they have.
