Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey... I do not own the tv show Grimm... or it's characters. I know, it's sad... I wish I did, but I don't... so now I do fanfiction. Please enjoy.
Nick was already in the trailer with a book in his hand, when he realized, he left his crossbow at Monroe's. Monroe's was definitely starting to feel like home if he was just leaving his weapons there, but it also warned him about how insensitive he was being. Sure, Monroe wanted to try out the crossbow and was actually hyped when Nick brought it over, but what wessen would want something specifically designed to kill wessen stored in their house?
Nick made a mental note not to do that anymore and told himself he wasn't that dependent on Monroe, but that little, nagging voice in the back of his head pointed out he kind of was. He assured himself he could do this case, get Juliette back alive and minimally harmed, without the help of his favorite blutbadden. He was dead set on it.
"Nick buddy, you've got to stop spacing out. It's creepy." Hank muttered.
"Everything creeps you out." Nick shrugged, figuring it wasn't too big a deal.
"I wonder why." Hank glared at Nick's retreating back, and watched him get into the car. "Where are you going now?" He called, wondering if he missed 'the answer' somewhere in the trailer. Sometimes Nick would forget he wasn't all caught up, and assume he knew what fixed the problem and what made it worse.
"Get in." Nick replied.
Once Hank settled in the car, Nick told him they just needed to pick something up from Monroe's and that he's pretty sure he knew where to look for Juliette. Hank had no idea how, and started to wonder, not for the first time, how many cases had just been Nick and Monroe.

Juliette squinted through the darkness, trying to see the hazy, contorted moving shapes. She twisted her arms, blindly attempting to free them from what felt like ropes, she coughed through her gag. One of the shapes pointed to her and said something about 'Nick' and 'Package'. She started to wonder if Nick was just a cop.

Richard pointed to the pathetic, confused human, laughing with his buddies about that stupid grimm. Bonding times like these were what made being a Reaper worth it.

Renard was sending the cops off on some false lead, tending to other ongoing cases as quick as possible and swearing he'd kill Nick if he didn't get his Juliette back. Renard started to wonder if this was what normal people felt like... no control over what happens in other's lives.

Wu silently stared at the trailer in front of him. This was what was so important, Nick would deviate from Captain's orders to go see? He wasn't sure where Nick went off to now, but he was sure as hell checking out this mobile home.
o.O.o
Nick hardly stepped up to the doorstep, when the door slammed open and he suddenly had his arms full of Monroe. "Wha..." Nick oh-so-intelligently mumbled. Monroe squeezed him closer.
"Sorry." Monroe stepped back. "I was just afraid that... Dude! Why do you smell like Reaper?" Monroe scrunched his nose.
"Juliette was taken by... I think them. They're bad, right?" Hank felt stupid as he looked towards Nick for confirmation. He nodded.
"Why didn't you say? The cross bow's in the living room, let's move!" Monroe headed inside.
"Wait! Monroe, don't you think it's a bit dangerous..." Nick stopped him. Monroe glanced back in disbelief.
"I've been dragged into how many cases, and your just now getting this? It's dangerous work but somebody's gotta do it." Monroe rolled his eyes.
"Yes, that's what I mean. It's dangerous work, are you sure Hank and I can't just handle this one?" Nick asked. Monroe's eyes went red and Nick decided to take Monroe with him, quickly saying "Nevermind, we should get going, it's about a half hour drive." As he slid past Monroe to get the weapon.
When Nick was gone, Monroe gave Hank the red-eye stare of death. Hank didn't know what he did, but he hoped Nick trusted this man as much as he claimed to.
o.O.o
It was just as Monroe had feared. Nick was already seeing Hank as... no, never... yes... a replacement. A replacement for Monroe, complete with gun and badge. Monroe had convinced him to take Monroe along this time, but would Nick even tell him the next time he had a difficult case? Or would he turn to the oh so obviously inadequate Hank and get both himself and his lousy human partner killed? Monroe decided to have a serious talk with Nick later.
