Chapter 9: Desperate Defenders

The mission was going well...very well...Hinata was inexperienced at first,but with Alexandria's help,she knew how to do this. Everything was going according to plan...
Kakashi and Itachi were talking about old times. Kakashi asked the former Uchiha killer how's life been on the Templar Order and Itachi told the Jounin that Naruto has been an effective leader and dedicated to the Templar cause. Kakashi also informed Itachi that while Sasuke is pardoned after the war, he never gave up on his Uchiha pride. And Sakura hasn't changed. Itachi was really disappointed at his brother and told Kakashi "He is no brother of mine." This surprised Kakashi but didn't ask.

It has been three weeks and the virus is developing well. Now all it takes is to load it and place it on a container. The virus is at fifty-three percent and loading...

(Outside)
Everyone who remained outside split up.
Chozo and Shibi at the bottom. Tsume at the top of the tower and Tenten's father and Priest at the Wall of the station. Andromeda is also at the bottom.
Tsume closed her eyes and focused on her senses.
She then opened her eyes and focused on to the north ahead of her.
"There's twelve carriers inbound! Ten miles!"

(Inside)
"They've found us."
Itachi heard what Kakashi said and proceeded to walk outside. With Kakashi looking on as the Uchiha walked out.

(Outside)
Tenten's father and the Kumo Templar Priest looked to see the carries slowly moving towards the base.
"There's no way we could stop that many."
"No. But we could slow them down."
Tenten's father then pulled out two fans (think Tenten's awakening in Naruto Storm series) and started swinging them around like he's doing a ritual.
The weather then changed and massive tornadoes and powerful thunderstorms crash upon the carriers,forcing them to drop the puppets before they crash and collide.
Priest then called out to Tenten's father who then used one of the fans to strike him with lightning,empowering him.
He looked towards Andromeda who appeared behind them and nodded,opening up a portal next to the advancing puppets and allowed Priest to shoot at least 8 of the puppets.

Meanwhile, Itachi used the Rinnegan to carry the Gallantry, or what's left of it, towards the edge of the wall,cutting parts to use against the puppets. All the while baring it's generator.

As Tenten's father was channeling using his fans, a massive dragon appeared in fire. Then directed the dragon towards the Gallantry's generator causing the ship to create a nuclear sized explosion and killing the puppets immediately.

Everyone took cover while Itachi used Susanoo to shield himself as well as using the Rinnegan to create a magnetic field to block the debris coming to him.

Everyone came out and Tenten's father asked "Is everything okay?" Most of them are alright...
Except one.
Itachi discovered that there is an Otsutsuki piece piercing his abdomen and he pulled it out.
Sadly, one puppet emerged and impaled Tenten's father's stomach much to Priest's shock. And threw the now dead man off the wall.
Enraged, Priest fired a shot on the puppet,cutting off his arm.

"Behind you!" Tsume and Andromeda looked behind to see more puppets crawling down the base.

Priest was then hit by the puppets chakra laser then another then another till finally he let out a cry and exploded. Killing the puppets blasting him.

Two more emerged.

Shibi immediately used the tech the scientists gave him to fly and blast the puppets off balance with his insects.
Meanwhile a wounded Itachi made a hand sign and made the debris lying to barricade the entrance of the station. He walked backwards as he did it.
Two puppets dropped down in front of Itachi as he moved backwards.
Andromeda created a portal behind Itachi to walk to and managed to get behind the barricade using it before the puppet strike.
"Now!" Andromeda nodded and made portal for Chozo. He jumped down,increased his size via Expansion Jutsu and made a speeding bullet falling down. Before he hit the ground, Andromeda made a portal for him and made him knock the puppets behind. One puppet got hit by the flying Aburame's insects.

As Itachi laid down bleeding, Hinata saw the wounded Uchiha and would've moved to help him but the he held out his hand and told her "Finish the mission." She agreed but not before telling Kakashi to look into her pouch and get the healing cream to use for Itachi.

This fight scene is inspired by X-men DOFP. The next one will skip to Toneri's invasion to the Fire Capital to deliver a message. Konoha will react and send a large contingent of ANBU and jounin minus the rookies. before this one so comment and review please. Thanks!
