Hello my lovelies! How are you? (;
Well...this is it...I think this is the last chapter. What a journey it has been, eh? Enjoy this while it lasts...because it may be the end...soon...

"Mrs. Anderson?" A male voice awakened the Goddess of Wisdom from her thoughts.

The Goddess raised her gaze and was met with a figure of a tall brunette man wearing a white doctor's coat, in his hand a clip board. In an instant she wanted to correct him, but something stopped her. 'Mrs. Anderson'. The ring of that made her smile mentally. She wanted to carry that name but she couldn't-It belonged to someone else.

"I-Yes?" She croaked. Athena's throat was dry and her voice hoarse. Her eyes filled with worry and anxiety yet a hint of hope sparked within the beaming grey orbs. The doctor shifted his weight from one foot to another, wondering how exactly he should break the news to the girls mother. The poor woman seemed so vulnerable, sitting there wrapped up in the arms of the blonde man who accompanied her. He hated that it had to be him who had to tell her. Why him? Why not his senior doctor?

"May I please ask you to come with me?" He finally asked, fixing the glasses that rested on his nose.

"Of course." The Goddess of Wisdom hadn't hesitated at all. With no thought she lifted herself off her seat and followed the doctor, gesturing for her brother to come along.

The trio wandered the corridors in uncomfortable silence, none attempted to speak, and even if they did, no sound escaped their lips.

Athena trembled with fear and desperation for the news. At one point, she slowed down, so that she walked evenly with her brother. She grabbed Apollo's arm, squeezing it from time to time, not intentionally, her mind was at a completely different place right now, but that did not mean it didn't leave scars or bruises. The god of the Sun bit the inside of his cheek forcing himself not to scream from the grip of his older sister. Her fingernails digging into his skin felt worse than the claws of the underworld's spirits separating your flesh from your muscle.

After a good five or so minutes they reached Olivia's room. It was at the other end of the hospital from the main reception and both of the Gods noted about the amount of corpses that were passing them as they traveled along the never-ending corridor.

Athena's breath caught in her throat and she just about managed to swallow the lump that was forming after steady paced 'beeps' descended from the room in which her daughter lied.

The three entered, still in silence. The doctor then gestured for the two to sit down by the bed of the patient.

"Mrs. Anderson-" He started

"Please, call me Ath" The Goddess of Wisdom interrupted. It may have not been the best of names, though her mind was too foggy for her to think of a replacement for 'Athena'.

"Ath. I...Your daughter...she is in...stable condition, as of now," The doctor started, meanwhile fiddling with the clip board and seeking to release the grip of the collar which rested tightly against his neck.

Athena managed a smile, releasing a silent breath.

"-But..." the doctor took another long break and the Goddess' mood instantly changed once again.

"But?" She repeated his words, giving the silent hint for him to finally break the news.

"She is in a coma. We are predicting she will be for a long time. So long, that she may never..." The man scanned the face of the vulnerable and defenseless girl that rested on the bed before him. "...Wake up..." He immiediately looked over at the Goddess who's face paled. A single tear rolled down her colourless cheek as she shook her head, resting it in her hands. "I'm really sorry...We did everything we could, but the damage was so severe that there is only so much we could have done for her..." The man felt for the woman who was crying in the chair placed across the room from his position. He approached the mother of the girl and knelt before her. "I promise you, ma'am, that I will do everything. And I mean everything within my power to help your daughter." The doctor carried on, unsure whether he was aiding the situation or perhaps making it even worse. After no reply, he lifted himself from the ground "I presume you would like some time alone with her. I will be just outside the reception if you want to come and collect the papers. Take as long as you need." With that, he left the room.

"Ath..." Apollo started after a long silence filled the room, accompanied by the sound of Olivia's life machine.

"Can you please give me a minute? I need to be alone with Olivia right now." The Goddess' puffy eyes raised towards her brother, pleading for him to listen to her demand.

"Of course. I'll be in the waiting room." The God of the Sun stood from his chair, rubbing his sister's back, hoping that both Olivia and Athena would recover. Hoping that they would be okay.

The grey-eyed goddess sat in silence, battling her thoughts for a long time. A long, long time. She wasn't sure how long. But what did it matter? She was in no hurry.

Finally she rested her eyes upon her youngest daughter. The goddess sighed as she took into concideration of how many bruises, cuts and swollen patches covered Olivia's face. She didn't know what to do with herself. She had already lost the girl's father, Michael, and now she was about to lose her daughter too.

'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!' She mentally tackled the voices that fought in her head. 'You could have told her sooner, then none of this would have happened.

'But you couldn't! You had no choice, your father made you swear. If you did, you would never be able to set eyes on her. It wasn't your fault.' The Goddess didn't entirely believe either of the arguments she set for herself. She didn't know what to do. This feeling hadn't been present within her for a long time.

"My sweetheart. I'm so sorry. I never wanted for any of this to happen. I wanted to protect you. Nothing less, nothing more. I have loved you from the start and always will. You're a brave little fighter and you will make it through this. We will make it through this." Athena smiled as more tears trickled down her face, one by one, dropping onto the floor. "I don't know whether or not you can hear me, or whether or not you will believe me, but I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart and I never wanted you to come to any danger. You, honey, are one of a kind. You are the last Guardian of Olympus. You were born to be a hero and you always will be. For everything you have done. I am so, so proud of you, and in no way do I want you to think any different. You will make it through this-you have to. Your whole life awaits you, you just need to find the right path to escape from the maze in which you are trapped in right now, in this coma. Please, Olivia." The Goddess poured her heart out to the child that lay in front of her. Holding her cold hands while she spoke.

Athena sat thinking for a long time, her daughter's hand still in her hold. The Goddess raised form her seat.

"I love you." She whispered, leaving the room.

Olivia still lay, motionless while her mother spoke. Yet as soon as the woman left the door, the girl's fingers twitched...

That is all I have for you...and I guess that is all for 'The Last Guardian of Olympus'. Maybe I'll throw in a sequel, I don't know. But I shall soon write a prologue for this, because leaving you on a cliffhanger seems mean. *shrug* We'll see.

Goodbye. :*
