Chapter 11: Come With Me

Randall refused to let go of Mike, he was also on Sully's shoulders his tail wrapped around his neck, not to choke, just to hold.

"It's quiet." Sapphire said after a few minutes.

"Yeah, it is." Mary looked around.

Randall listened carefully. He let go of Mike and Sully and slithered up to the door. He pressed his ear against it and listened. Silence.

"I think it's safe now." Randall said as he unlocked the door.

Randall opened the door and looked outside. He was horrified at what he saw, but not as horrified as Sapphire.

"Oh no!" Sapphire cried. "My Ranch! It's compeletly destroyed."

It was true. Everything was gone. The horses were gone, the house was gone, the stables were gone. Fuck, even the cornfield was gone.

Randall slowly walked out looking around them... Gone...All gone... He hissed loudly. WHY?! Why did this happen?!

"DAMN IT! Why why why? Damn it." Randall kicked the ground cursing loudly while Mike and Sully watched with worry and confusion, considering they've never heard anyone curse before, not even Mary.

"What do I do now?" Sapphire asked herself. "Without my Ranch, I have nowhere else to go. I could never live with Derik after he tried to kill you, plus he's getting married to Christina. John's going into college, Sarah and Amy have families of their own."

"And even I am just now starting college." Mary sighed.

"I have no one else to turn to." Sapphire hung her head sadly.

Suddenly, Randall had an idea. He turnned to Sapphire and gently laid his hands on her shoulders.

"That's not true." He whispered. "You have me."

"What are you saying Randall?" Sapphire asked.

"Come with me... to the monster world."

"Oh Randall, as much as I want to, I could never come to the monster world. Vampires are banished, remember."

"I think we can make an acception." Randall smiled after turnning to Mike and Sully, who nodded in approval.

"But, where will I live?" Sapphire asked. "I have no money to buy a house."

"You can live with me." Randall answered. "Just like I lived with you."

Sapphire smiled widely. Before Randall could react, she hugged him tightly. Randall smiled and hugged back, not even bothering to push her off anymore.

Mike smiled and jumped in on the hug, not wanting to be left out, even Sully joined in, picking all 3 off the ground in a huge bear hug. Mary laughed and joined in as well. With everybody hugging him, Randall felt warm and fuzzy inside. He like the feeling, it felt nice.

"Besides getting beat with a shovel, getting drunk, being shot at, and going through a hurricane... I actually enjoyed being in the human world." Randall smiled. "But I'm ready to go back home, taking Sapphire with me."

"I'm sure you are... Randy." Mike smiled, calling Randall by his real name.

"Wait a minute!" Mary suddenly cried. "Randall... you got drunk?!"

Randall's eyes widened and he was suddenly lost for words.

"Time to go!"
