Chapter 11

No one's POV

Shun watched as Alice struggled to balanced herself. He skated towards her gracefully and offered her his hand. "Here" he said, extending his hand towards her. Alice smiled gratefully as she grasped his hand while Shun guided her.

"Thanks! I haven't done this for almost years! When I was in Russia, I used to do this often…but then…" her voice trailed off as she tightened her hold on Shun's hand. He noticed it but kept quiet.

She paused and smiled. "So, you seem to be good at this" she said. Shun blinked but didn't question her change in the subject. "My mom taught me when I was little and sometimes my friends drag me with them. Besides I'm a ninja remember?" said Shun, emphasizing 'Ninja' word and smirked.

Alice giggled and replied, "Yeah… I remember" as they continued skating. Little did he know, she was recalling his fall in the lake, when they first met.

A little while later…

"So, what is your family like?" asked Alice and licked her vanilla ice-cream. They were both sitting on the bench in the park, under a tree. The hovering clouds indicated that it's going to rain. But it's a nice atmosphere. Shun glanced at Alice as he ate his mint ice-cream.

"What? You already met mine! I'm a little curious" said Alice as Shun was looking at her. Alice looked the other way.

"You already know about mother and I have a Grandfather. Well, he's strict. I have friends and they are nice" said Shun and finished his ice-cream. Alice was looking at him as he spoke while she ate quietly "Hmm…...".

Meanwhile…

Klaus was searching for Alice almost for an hour as he pondered over where she might have gone. 'If something happens to her…!' he thought. "May I should check her home first, if she had gone back" he muttered as drove his car. 'And if not, I have to report her missing…' he thought and sighed.

Back to the park…

Evening was approaching. Shun glanced at his watch and then at Alice beside him. She seems to be thinking. "I wonder where K-san is… He must be searching for me…" muttered Alice.

She looked at Shun and said, "He was going to take me to so many places today. Visiting an amusement park and festival was my priority though… I think I should leave a message for K-san".

"Well, I heard that there'll be a festival next week. As for Amusement park, we can go now if you want" said Shun. This made Alice smile sincerely at him. "Sure! Why not!", she exclaimed.

Suddenly Shun's cell phone rang. He pulled his phone out from his pocket only to see his mother's number. "Hello? Mom? What…?" said Shun but was cut off by his mother.

"Shun! Can you come home early today? I want to discuss the theme for tomorrow!" said Shiori Kazami. Shun sweatdropped. "Sure, mom. I'll be there early" said Shun.

"I'm just reminding you Shun. No need to hurry. Just come an hour before dinner!" said Shiori Kazami and chuckled. "Uhh… Okay, mom" replied Shun and ended the call. Shun glanced at Alice only to see her smile at him.

'Should I hire a cab and send her home? But no one is going to go in the woods… Besides she is new here… What am I doing…?' thought Shun and sighed.

He was contemplating on what he should do when Alice said, "Shun? Your mom called, you should go and see if she needs help". Shun blinked then chuckled.

"I have some time before that. So, let's go to Amusement park" he said and stood up, putting his phone back. Alice stood as well, looking at him, she said, "Are you sure?" to which he nodded.

Sun was already below horizon, spreading red-violet hue across the sky. Slight breeze ruffling their hair as they walked. 'I thought it was going to rain… Weather is so unpredictable' thought Shun.

The walk to the Park was silent. Shun glanced at Alice as she was quiet and it was almost fifteen minutes she haven't said anything. As expected, Alice was looking around, with a small smile on her lips. Shun looked ahead enjoying the peace.

A few minutes later, they were greeted by the sight of amusement park. Alice glanced around taking in the surrounding, overwhelmed.

"Oh my goodness! This is so cool!" exclaimed Alice as she glanced at Shun. Shun chuckled at her excitement. "I know" he said as he put his hands in his pockets. Alice watched the Ferris wheel and the blinking lights on it, obviously amazed by it.

"Are you just going to stand there?" said Shun as he walked ahead of her. Alice caught up to him and said, "Let's go for the roller coaster ride then!" said Alice as she grabbed Shun's hand and dragged him towards the ride.

'The ride didn't affect her at all!' thought Shun after their ride. Alice seemed to have enjoyed it a lot. "That was really awesome" exclaimed Alice as she fixed her hair and laughed.

After that they played games like shooting, in which Shun won a pink teddy bear. He gave it to Alice and said, "I don't need it" and looked the other side. Alice grabbed it and said, "But it's so cute!". Shun sweatdropped.

Alice ended up giving it to a crying child and smiled at her. "Thank you Onee-san!" said the little girl and pecked Alice on the cheek. Alice smiled at the girl as she ruffled her and said, "Aww…You're welcome!". Shun watched the exchange with a small smile tugging at his lips.

They ended up eating local delicacies while enjoying different rides. "Now let's try that Ferris wheel!" said Alice as she looked at Shun. Shun sighed but followed anyway.

They were now high in the air, watching the city, twinkling with lights. Alice was amazed at how city looked so nice at night. She recalled her memories from the past when she went with her grandfather.

"Wow!" she said. She blinked when the ride started to move again and exhaled. Shun glanced at her then looked out, smirking.

Alice looked at Shun and said, "Shun? I… I'm really grateful to you. Thank you so much. You helped me and stayed with me, this means a lot to me. Thank you".

Shun stared at her as she spoke and noticed how sincere she is. She smiled genuinely at him. He looked outside as he felt his face a little hot. "Hm. It's not like I had something else to do anyway" Shun replied back without glancing at her, when the ride stopped.

Shun exhaled deeply. He checked his watch and noted that it's almost time to go home as his mother had called him. He glanced at Alice walking ahead of him, humming softly.

'I cannot send her back alone' he thought. He had contemplated over his thoughts and reached a decision. 'But I should ask her first' he thought as he caught up with her.

"I was thinking that you should stay at my house tonight" said Shun with a serious expression on his face. Alice glanced at him then ahead of herself.

"Thank you. But I don't think I should. I have bothered you enough. I should go home now" said Alice and smiled at him. She glanced around and then stopped walking. "Wait… Where did I come from?". Shun sweatdropped.

Alice turned towards Shun, embarrassed, only to find him smirking. "It's not that I have a choice okay?" she said and looked the other side, as she tried to hide her pink face. Shun tried not to laugh and chuckled at her. "You're welcome" said Shun as he started walking, a tiny smile on his lips, followed by Alice.

"Can I borrow your phone please? I'll leave a message for K-san at home" said Alice as they were in a cab now. Shun sat beside her. He handed her his phone, which she took and punched in her number. Shun watched outside as she talked. "Here, thanks" said Alice as she handed him his phone "Hm".

"One more thing" started Shun as Alice heard him attentively. "We have to keep this a secret. I cannot let anyone know about this. It's…" he was interrupted by Alice.

"I understand. So this will be our secret!" she said and smiled at him. He simply nodded at her and looked outside. 'If mom finds this out… And if grandpa, it'll be worse! I have always kept girls away and suddenly if they see Alice… I haven't even uttered her name to anyone yet…Well, she's different so I don't mind her company. Besides she's one of my friends now… That's why I'm doing this' he thought and exhaled.
