Author's Note: Hi you guys! Let me start by saying that, 'I am not dead' and I am here to say I'm so sorry for the late update. I have spent a quarter of my time reading my favorite series called "The Last Apprentice" by the author Joseph Delaney (to those who knows this book, email me and let's chat things about it XD) You can't really blame me because I am like, OBSESS with that book! I've read all the existing books of it (1 to 5, also the bonus book, "The Spooks Tale and Other Horrors") Yet, I'm still waiting for the 6th book that I heard will come out around August, but I'm not so sure if that's the actual date. To those who loves fantasy and Horror and haven't read this, I recommend you read them. (I think they are available just about in every public libraries. Take note that if you don't live in America, it is called "The Wardstone Chronicles." Search it out if you want to learn more of it.) It's really good and horrifically fantastic. ^_^

The other reason it took me too long to update is because as you can already see, this story is under construction. What I mean about it is that I'm still editing the last chapters since I kind of made them rush and a lot of grammar errors including spelling can be visibly seen throughout the story. I'm still editing them and right now, I'm working on chapter 3. I also add some changes in the events, so you can go back and check them out ONLY IF you want to. But I'm telling you right now that some or those changes might come in the near future and you might find something new that you haven't read before and might confuse you.

Also, I've been working on my other stories recently and I just got done with my new one-shot story under the anime "Spiral" a long time ago. It's actually long and if you know this anime and likes Ayumu and Hiyono couple or are just curious, feel free reading it. The tittle is "Untitled" because I haven't really decided on the tittle. I do have some recommendations for it, if you read the story. And if you want to, you can help me decide on the tittle--that would really help, thankyou. I'm just gonna say that it's rated T so don't just go looking at it if you're under aged. Don't say I didn't warn ya!

Ok, enough with the chit-chat and let's get back to the story. Again, I apologize. I honestly admit I've also been pretty lazy. (That's just the way I am.) I hope you guys continue to review me after the 1,000 months that pass. (Sorry, I don't keep track of the days I haven't updated, but it feels like 1,000 months since I haven't updated.)

I would like to give thanks to Ven Hardy who I've noticed changed his/her pen name, and unbirthran.

Thinking of anything else to say...

Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts including it's characters because I didn't even made them, it was um... Tetsuya Nomura, I think...well, maybe.

Ch: 11 Following the path of doom; part 2

Roxas was now finding his way towards the 'other kingdom' Namine had told him about. (To those who didn't know back them, this is just one of the 'things' Namine said to Roxas when he explained his story to her before.) She had a feeling that their ruler might help him do his job.

Roxas didn't have any doubts towards her. His full trust regained ever since Namine assist him when he truly needed someone for help. Roxas would never forget that one kiss he shared with her for the first time; her soft lips rub against his, her slender curves pressed against his body, and...

He stopped from his (perveted) thoughts as he came on reaching what he believes to be the kingdom.

He continued walking through the village, ignoring the glares from the animals as they stared at him out of suspicion. He was already aware of the ones living in that place considering how Namine already describe him what they look like. (Yes, another thing she told him.)

Roxas walked and walked until he could finally see the throne, but suddenly stopped from his tracks when two large, muscular-looking guards block his way.

"Sorry, strangers are unallowed to pass," they declared in a groaning tone. Roxas sigh in annoyance, but didn't move his body.

"Who's there?" said an unusual voice coming from the gaurds' back.

"Just some kid, you majesty,"one of the guards said. according from the way he said 'your majesty,' the man who spoke would appeared to be their king, except he can't see over the shoulders of the guards since their quite large--too large for him to even see the top of their head from way down near them. But anyway, Roxas glared at the one who spoke earlier. He got annoyed from the words, 'just some kid' that came out of his mouth which really made him feel like a weakling for some reason.

"Let him in," came the king's voice again.

Roxas lighten up as the two guards did what their king ordered them to do and stepped aside.

He then continued his way towards the throne and bowed down like he usually do to greet those who are higher than him.

"And whatever brougth a young man here?" he ask.

"I came here to seek for a boy named 'Sora'." Roxas said, "I heard that he was castaway here in your kingdom. So, by any chance, have you encountered him?"

King Mickey thought for awhile. He suspects something familiar about this boy and continued asking him, "But first, may I ask the lad's name that stand before me?"

Roxas sigh in irritation of the king's curiosity and not just answer his question for him. "I'm Roxas," he said, hoping to get this done with in no time.

"And who had you heard the news that he's here?"

Roxas hesitated a bit but answered anyway, "It's...it's really none that matters."

"Hmm," the King thought while Roxas, in the other hand, continued sighing in annoyance and simultaneously began taping his left foot. The king continued to think until finally, it hit him.

He did a quick snap using his fingers then began, "Are you a friend of Sora?"

"Yeah...?" the way Roxas said 'yeah' tunes another saying of, 'how did you know?'

"I thought so. I've heard about you during me and your friend's confrontation--"

"So your saying his here?! how is he, is he ok?!"

Mickey held out his hand towards Roxas, signaling him to stop talking and let him finish. "Don't worry about him. I believe he is fine under the care of my people."

"In other words, your saying that he MIGHT be fine, but for some reason you're still not sure of it completely, right?"

His harsh words made the guards that surrounded them held their weapons towards him, alert of his actions. The king held up his hand before they could to anything and nod at them, signaling them to leave the two in private. Roxas receive a couple of snorts and growls before the guards walk off and leaving them in peace.

"You're already too late; his gone just yesterday. Sora left to find the fairy, which I believe you already know of, to ask for answers. I allowed my loyal knight and court magician to go along with him to guarantee his safety. By now, I predict he's already on his way on rescuing his dearest friend. Don't worry, Sora's accompanying the two of my loyal servants and I'm sure they won't let things happen to him."

From the things the King tell Roxas, he found that he could be trustworthy regarding his knowledge of knowing the full story which Sora might have told him before.

"Now, may I ask again who told you about the fact of Sora being here?" King Mickey said.

"It was the fairy. Her name is Namine and she told me all the information I need in order to find the the location of the people who kidnapped our princess," Roxas replied. And so, he told the King everything Namine informed him about. During their conversation, King Mickey have been pacing back and fort with his usual position, taking in all the information Roxas' providing right now.

"...I'd best be going now, your majesty," Roxas said, concluding his final statement.

After Roxas' done, the King took a moment until finally being able to talk, "I'll order my best soldiers to go with you, AND don't refuse this or object because I have heard that the place where the enemy lay is full of dangers, you need all the help you can get in order to pass these obstacles."

Roxas smiled and said, "Thankyou, your majesty."

With this, the King immediately call one of the guards outside, ordering them to get his 3 'great warriors'.

They waited for a moment until they finally arrived.

Three people came in walking as if ready to kill towards the throne.

"Roxas, meet Hayner, Ollete, and Pence; the three top warriors of the kingdom."

The trio stared at the spiky-haired boy, grinning evilly at him.

Back at the Cloud and Aerith's kingdom, the king anxiously pace around his room thinking continuously as his queen just sat on their bed staring at him.

"Cloud," she began, "I know how worried you are but you got to have faith in them. I'm sure they'll find their way. Please sit down, hm?"

"Aerith, that's not what I'm thinking about. It's just that I couldn't get my mind off the fact that I'm relaxing in this castle while Sora and Roxas took the risk of finding Kairi," the King replied.

"Oh Cloud, it's not you're fault," the Queen said as she tried to find something that could help her husband.

Suddenly, he halted and walked towards Aerith, then, sat down beside her and took her hands against his, squeezing it lovingly.

Aerith look at him with confusion from his actions. Cloud find this his opportunity to take off that confusion marked of her face; "Aerith, there's something I've been wanting to tell you...I--I've decided, by tomorrow, I'll be the one to set out to find Kairi."

Aerith's eyes widened from shock. "But Cloud, you can't possibly do that, we need you here!" she cried out.

"Shh...I know that, but I wouldn't forgive myself if anything happens to the three of them," he said while looking straight in her eyes.'

Anguish took over the brown-haired girl and continued to argue, "But you're the king and you just can't leave the kingdom alone with no ruler--"

She was stopped by Clouds tight hug.

"My queen, it's also my responsibility to protect my people. I've already planned out who would take my place while I'm gone," he explained while leaning his chin on Aerith's head.

"But who would protect YOU?" she whimpered against Cloud's chest.

Cloud gently lifted her chin and stared deeply into her eyes. "Aerith, you just have to put faith in me like how have faith with Sora and Roxas."

There, the queen continued to sob within Cloud's arms, unaware of the presents of a young girl listening to their conversation just outside the room. She was leaning against the wall by the door. Her face nearly close to tears as she took off running to where her feet take her. She was too occupied with her thought to even notice she passed someone who suddenly grabbed hold of her delicate arms.

"Garnet!" he said.

She quickly turned to her capturer and recognized it was only Zidane.

"What's wrong?!" he ask acording from Garnet's expression.

"I...I..." she stuttered.

Zidane gave her a loving embrace as if it was the only way he could think of to calm the girl in front of him.

They stayed like that for a long time until Garnet recovered. She soon told him about the things she heard in the King and the Queens room, and how sorry she was to be listening in their own personal conversation.

"It's OK, Garnet. Everything's gonna be fine, I promise," Zidane comforted.

The next day was depressing as it was the day the King decided to leave.

He let his horse walked a couple of paces away before turning back to look at Aerith with reassurance. He tapped at Zidane's back and said, "You'll be in charge now, Zidane."

He gave him a nod and a smile in response. Cloud then turned to Garnet who is standing by the Queen. "Take care of her," he said and she nodded holding onto Aerith's arm as she quietly weep.

Cloud gave one last nod at the whole kingdom and then signaled his horse to move while ordering the other soldiers behind him to follow his lead, "Let's move out men!"

The people including the families of the soldiers especially Queen Aerith followed them until they reach the edge of their kingdom. They all stopped and waved at the men who are now going...

walking nearer and nearer at every step they take...

towards the path which lay...

...DEATH...

Author's Note: Ok, here's more of the things I want release from my chest...since I don't want you guys to get mad at me, here's my other REAL excuse. I know it's been long but whether you believe me or not, I've started writing this story just after I got done with the last chapter. What delays my time are right on top of this page. Ok, now that I'm done with ALL of my excuses, I wanted to say this to everyone for a very long time; 'WHOO-HOO, SCHOOL'S OVER! YEAH!!!' I know it's pretty late, but I just want to say that (for no reason.) Anyway...I know this is pretty short--but hey, Hayner, Olette, and Pence finally showed up! Isn't this so exciting?! I've already thought about this idea a very long time ago before even creating this story, so basically, I already know what to type in. Since the 4 of them were best friends in Kingdom Hearts, for real, I figured I'd make the four of them be together in the story too. Haha. (This also answers why I put Sora, Donald, and Goofy together.) I know, I added more suspense. To tell you all the truth, I like putting suspense to it. I'm sorry for those who are suffering from these suspense, and please don't hate me because of it. Yay! it's Cloud's turn to take the risk! I wonder what will happen next. Oh well--haha, I already know that! XD (Yikes! even I'M getting excited.)

Remember: This, everyone, is for everyone!^_^

Please review, review, and review. Happy Independence day! (Man, this took me almost all of my time to celebrate 4th of July with my family, so PLEASE REVIEW!)

Stick around for another thrilling adventure next time on "The Magic Within A Play" (Ha, I recognized I just changed the tittle!) bye!! waves
