After an hour or two, Bryan could still feel the tension in the air between everyone. The sooner everyone else gets back the better. If they start to fight, we have no hope of stopping Doom. He looked across the open field where Shade was standing with Logan, Gambit, and Wade. They were talking about something though he wasn't about to go over and ask. Brian heard someone near by and looked over, seeing Steve and some others. The others being the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, and Falcon. "Nice timing." Brian said, walking over.
"What do you mean by that?" Steve asked, looking at the others who were there. "Wait. Let me guess. Either Rhody or Tony said something to them and now no one trusts each other."
"Yep. Dead on." Brian responded. "It's just a little tense right now." He looked back over at Shade. "This is going to be harder than we thought it would be."
"You know, I always wanted to meet people like them." Spider-Man said. " They seem more interesting that some others that I know." Just then, they say Scott come through the trees with what looked to be about ten different mutants. "Look! There's more of them."
"Speaking of which. Thor and banner are on their way back and Spidy and the Fantastic Four have some people coming in to help to." Steve said before walking towards where Tony, Rhody, and Wasp were. Brian stood there and watched Shade from where he was.
"You know. I've run into a few of them before." Spidy said, walking over to him.
"You have?"
"Sure. Though some tried to kill me. But I tend to stay out of their way now days. " he said.
Brian looked at him. "Yet you have to work with them now. Everyone of us has to."
By the time everyone was there, Brian was sure that someone was going to pick a fight. The mutants seemed tense and everyone else just tried to stay away from them. The only person who wasn't tense with the mutants was Black Panther. Maybe this was a bad idea. There is no way that we can work together. He thought to himself. He looked over towards Steve and thought he looked worried as well. Yep. This was a bad idea...
Sorry for the long disappearance. It's just been hectic for me and I haven't had time to write. Hopefully sometime this week I can get everything to calm down. And sorry this was a short chapter. I'll write a longer one next time :)
