I am a horrible, horrible person! I didn't mean to take so long in updating, but I am working as hard as I can. A shoutout to my lovely friend Dresner1817 and his creation of Dusk's dear friend Karl. His stories are very good! Enjoy this chapter everyone, and goodnight!

Reviews are always lovely to read :)

Chapter Twelve: This Is It

It didn't take long for someone to realize the bathroom door was locked. He could hear a woman complaining that whoever was in there was taking too damn long. James managed to question why in the hell was an airport bathroom locked? Didn't they know they were supposed to have open bathrooms, but locked stalls? He guesses not, but it has worked to their advantage.

"We have to get going if we want to get a move onto the tour." James says giving Luna, who was leaning against a stall with her arms crossed, a look of plead to help him with the two other girls. He was strong as hell, but could never drag wo grown women around without raising suspicion with the airport guards.

Speaking of the tour managed to pry the young sisters apart, and they slowly work their way from getting up from the floor.

"Gross…" Thorn mutters once she realizes her hand is sticky with something, but it wasn't blood. Shaking her head, she scrubs her hands until they were beat red to make she they were clean.

All the meanwhile James and Luna were not bothering to hide their laughter, and received the bird from Thorn.

"Let's make like your personality and like split." Luna says, and Thorn raises her eyebrow then gives a small smile.

"You sound like Shaggy." Dusk says as she is about to open the door, but James stops her with her arm.

"He did say it when he and Scooby were running away from the Witche's Ghost." Luna says like she didn't care, but Dusk knew better than that, and gives Thorn a wink. A small step to where they once were.

"Mind moving?" Dusk snaps throwing James arm down so she could get past.

"Oh, sure you girls go out there what with no disguises, and Thorn still hungover she would run into the wall without assistance,-"

"What the hell?" Thorn interrupts before James waves her off. He surely wasn't going to score any brownie points with her now.

"See what happens. I bet you girls won't get five steps from this door before someone recognizes you, and then you girls are stuck in a fan mob. Not to mention we would miss our plane, then me late for the tour, and-"

"Okay, okay, shut the hell up already." Dusk rolls her eyes, but won't admit James is right over her.

"So what can we do? It's not like they have a wig store in an airport." Luna questions and goes to the mirror to see if she needs to fix anything.

"They always have hair dye?" James replies fishing out his wallet to see how money he has.

"Oh. Hell. No." Thorn says slowly while silently groaning at her complexion. She and Dusk would look gorgeous for their showing with black eyes, busted lips, and bruises covering their body.

No one would touch her hair, that's why she always wore a wig even if it was itchy as hell. Thorn had made that very clear to her bandmates and James when they first went on tour.

"We don't have any choice. We are running out of time, and we don't have a car to use since we used a taxi." James says hoping the girls would understand.

"Isn't there any other way?" Thorn pleads and James can't help if she is this emotional over her hair because she is still hungover, or just that damn good at being an actress. She's good at everything he thinks and groans. He should not be having those feelings for her, but they were becoming harder to ignore.

"I have a couple of sweatshirts in my bag, but I have no idea where in the hell they are." Dusk sasses giving a look to James and Luna who dragged her here in the first place.

"They are back outside I'll go get them." James says quickly exiting the door hoping no passing women will see him exiting the ladies room.

"Luna, why the fuck would you let him leave my stuff out there?" Dusk turns with a glare, and a hand on her hip.

"I'm sorry, but you two making up seemed a little more important then a bag that could be replaced."

"It couldn't be replaced!" Dusk tells her with her carefully guarded voice seeping a bit with emotion. How could she explain that she had met a wonderful guy whose sweatshirts, currently held hostage in her bag, were his? She just couldn't. Dusk was a tough ass rockstar, and not some lovestruck girl.

A knock brings her out of her thoughts, and James throws her, her bag, but doesn't come in. He probably wants to give the girls their much needed privacy. Once Dusk has handed herself Karl's sweatshirt he last wore, and Luna a spare she realizes there was only two between her stuff and his.

"James give me your sweatshirt." Dusk whispers hoping not to be too loud to bring them anymore attention then they had earlier.

"Why? Don't you have enough?" James whispers back, and Dusk hits the door.

"No, smartass I didn't, and it's for Thorn." She says and counts to five. In that time the sweatshirt is already in her hands.

She shakes her head and tosses the sweatshirt to Thorn. Thorn has James whipped so hard, and she didn't even know it! For how smart Thorn was, and she really was smart, she was pretty clueless when it came to guys. If only Dusk could string guys along like that. Once the girls have their hoods up they finally exit the bathroom, and see a long line of impatient, bitchy girls.

"Let's finally get moving." James says placing his arm lightly under Thorn's so he can make sure she won't get hit by anyone.

The girls follow James with their eyes locked on their moving feet. Even if they have hoods covering their faces, they don't want to take chances. Since James and Luna had already checked their stuff in-under their real names of course- they only had to take care of Dusk's. While everyone was taking care of the plane situation Thorn looks at everything and nothing. James was kind enough to buy her a water for the aspirin she had already taken, and she could feel the hangover finally fading. Taking another sip of her water, she spots a woman standing in line behind an old cat woman. Thorn pales and drops her water bottle as she locks eyes with the other woman. Her darkened hair was lined with greys, and emerald green eyes stared back at her. A small smile appears on the woman's lips.

"Mom?" Thorn whispers and starts to run to the woman, but a damn crowd has suddenly emerged from passengers boarding off the plane.

She finally gets to the spot, but the woman is gone, and Thorn feels her body shake, and collapse to the ground. Every since her rescue from the institution she was obsessed with finding out the truth about her mother. Even her own father didn't know what happened to her. Her mother has always been a mystery to Thorn. Fresh, hot new tears swell in Thorn's eyes as she claws at the air as if to bring her mother's presence to her.

"Baby girl?" James says kneeling down to her, and Thorn just stares at the air in silence. She can't cope with this search right now, and she most certainly can't deal with her feelings.

"I can't do this." She says, quickly rising to her feet and heads towards the gateway to the plane.

He grabs her wrist, and spins her to face him as he cups her cheek lightly. "You can tell me anything, baby girl." He whispers, and knows he has shocked her. He has never expressed this kind of move before.

"I know." She replies drying her tears, and gives him a fake smile.

They go back to where Dusk and Luna are sitting, and they don't have too long to wait until they could board the plane. James already knows she is falling apart, and by the looks of Dusk and Luna, they know it too. They board the plane with Dusk having the window seat, Thorn in the middle, and Luna on the end. James is the row across from him in the aisle seat, so he is pleased he can keep an eye on the young band. The air pilots voice determines the flight to be about twenty-nine hours and forty five minutes with the weather as it is. Dusk lies her seat back to an unnecessary rate just to piss off the people behind her. She gives a smirk and Luna, in return, rolls her eyes at her.

"What? I have to be comfortable with this long ass plane ride." Dusk says with pure fake innocence as the flight attendants come around.

"Would you like anything to eat or drink ladies?" The young brunnette says to the girls with her light pink lipstick on the corner of her snaggletooth.

"Can I get a Vodka and Tonic?" Thorn asks with a smile and ignores the stares that she is going to receive.

"Thorn-"

"Guys, calm down I will only have one. Shit just went down, and this long ass flight needs a way to be passed." She replies as she takes a sip of her drink, and closes her eyes.

Dusk takes a small sip of Thorn's drink, and suddenly feels a longing to be back in New York. She finds herself missing the presence of Karl, and she sends him a text on her updates. Hoping to get a couple of hours of decent sleep, she leans her head onto Luna's shoulder and closes her eyes. Time seem to pass, and they have all either taken turns sleeping for unneeded hours, and each band member passed time in their own way. Dusk was always searching to find new leads on Michael, Luna was writing a personal email to her father in OakHaven, and Thorn was researching missing female girls that matched Thorn's description of her mother.

Dusk was bouncing her boots onto the seat in front of her. "How much longer?"

James shook his head Dusk was impatient when every something was going to go down. "We have about a couple hours away. They want to land the plane somewhere in Europe since the turbulence has gotten bad with the weather coming."

"Do we have time to look around the countries?" Luna asks with a huge grin. Luna was always one who loved to learn about different eras and anything that had to do with history.

"We might be able to give a quick tour if we are lucky enough." James replies taking a bite of his chips.

"We are always lucky." Thorn mutters rubbing her eyes, and goes to remove her hood, but stops when her hand has reached her hair, and pulls it back down. She hears her sisters smirk, and she looks down at her sketch pad working on the new song coursing through her mind.

The plane had finally landed before Dusk was ready to kill anyone who pissed her off. The girls and James stepped out into the sunlight of Italy with laughs and smiles. Dusk was finally free to do whatever she pleased, and with her sisters she was way more excited. It didn't take them long to find a cheap place to store their stuff, and Thorn was able to purchase a new blond wig. No one could ever guess if people in another county knew about the Hex Girls, and they didn't want to make that mistake. They were able to land in the southern part of Italy, and Thorn had made it clear she wanted it to be a day filled with fun with her sisters. James was able to get the cost of bathing suits down, but when Thorn worked her feminine charm, they walked out of the store with three free new bathing suits. James opens the taxi door for the girls, and they drive to La Pelosa Beach. The taxi driver barely parked the taxi before the girls raced down to the beach and splashed around in the crystal, blue waters. Luna was able to push Dusk into the cold Italian water before screaming as Thorn jumped on her back. James sat in the sand watching his girls enjoy the free time they had together. It must put a strain on them being so young, and far away from home. He lays back into the sun allowing his faded tan to come back with vitamin D soaking into his skin. Cold water hits his bare chest as he looks to see the girls standing over him with a bucket they must have borrowed from a younger lad.

"Is this how it is going to be?" James smirks eyeing the girls.

"Didn't you like to be wet?" Thorn challenges before giving him her own sexy smirk.

"It's on, baby girl." He accepts the challenge as he rises to his feet, and the girls take off running once more.

Dusk and Luna would assume he would go after Thorn because of his growing feelings for her, but he races to grab Luna, and dunks her playfully under the water.

"No, no, no!" She yells kicking at him, and barely escapes doggie paddling away.

"Take that you sucker!" Dusk says jumping on him, digging her nails into his back.

His years of training has made his body into a solid muscle, and he knows how to use his body to his advantage. He kneels into the water, and is able to grab flip Dusk onto her back keeping her afloat.

"You want to let my sister go?" Thorn whispers in his ear wrapping her toned arm around his neck.

"Of course I will." He says, standing until she can't reach him, and he turns to capture her against his chest. "I'll trade her for you." He says, tucking a strand of long black hair behind her ear. He can feel her tense at the sudden embrace. He faintly knows her story from the institution, she tended to talk in her sleep and James would hear it while driving to the next performance, and one word always caught his attention. Molestation. He knew people didn't know her darkest secrets for potencial fear of being considered damaged goods, but James just wants to hold her and give her the world.

"Look it's the Hex Girls!" Someone screams, and before they know it, the girls are running to the nearest taxi they can with their few belongings. They moved faster getting their stuff, and to an airport. Against their unwanted wishes, they are back on a plane, and on their way to Sydney, Australia. The girls and James step out to their first real competition. This is it. Thorn thinks as they make their way to the stage.
