Back once more! I started a new fic today to add onto the '333 Ways' Saga! It's called "333 Ways to Get Kicked Out of the Tardis" and it's, obviously, a Doctor Who fic so if you feel interested, go check it out!

Also, prepare for the craziness of crossovers to descend upon us.

Roy woke up to a harsh white light and sat up with hisses and grunts as he avoided putting too much pressure on his punctured hands.

"Where the hell am I?" He grumbled as he blinked away the black spots only to find that he was in a completely empty but white space. Well, almost empty.

Before him stood a large towering stone door with flame alchemy carvings on them. He was too weak to stand up completely to study them but suddenly he heard a voice.

"Hello Mr. Alchemist." Roy's head whipped around until he spotted a white figure. He slowly pushed himself up.

"Where am I?" The being seemed to perk up and gave a wide pearly grin.

"You're at the Gate. The place of all knowledge. And you so happened to fall into my domain."

"And who are you?" the human asked cautiously and it didn't seem possible, but the thing's grin grew wider.

"I am everything. I am nothing. I am all. I am one. And I am you. I am the toll keeper of the gates of knowledge and you must pay your toll."

"But I didn't even-" Roy protested but was cut off when a large explosion-like noise echoed through the void plane. The two figures, the being and the alchemist, turned away from Roy's Gate and saw another one standing there with four natural elements. To Roy's surprise, the being frowned with a sigh.

"Great. I thought he wasn't supposed to be here…"

"Who?" Roy asked and suddenly the new gate opened to reveal someone that Roy least expected.

"Fullmetal?!" The teen in question blinked in surprise.

"Colonel Mustang?!"

Edward was followed by another teen who seemed to be bald and covered in tattoos. The former alchemist shook his head then glared right at the being the Roy had been talking to and stormed up to it.

"Alright bastard- I know I'm not part of your jurisdiction now so I know I can do enough to figure out what the hell is going on here."

"I'm just as surprised that you're back here Mr. Avatar." The being replied and Edward blinked in confusion.

"But the gate appeared in the Spirit World and apparently according to the spirits and past Avatars, it was gaining enough power to begin manifesting in the Mortal Realm."

The being cocked its head. "You are the one in charge of your side being the 'bridge between both worlds' both in the spirit and mortal sense but now in the dimensional sense as well. You essentially have my job."

"Ugh." Edward sighed and Roy just grew more confused and angry until he had enough.

"What the hell is going on here Fullmetal?! We all thought you were dead! We just got back from your funeral!" Edward at least had the decency to look ashamed.

"Well, it's hard informing you of that when if I didn't agree to take up this Avatar position in a completely different world that's dealing with a world war I'm expected to solve otherwise I'd just be dead, there isn't really much of an option." He said but gained speed and anger until he was shouting his words. He angrily turned towards the being and jabbed his thumb towards the Colonel. "So what did this stupid bastard do to use human transmutation to end up here?"

"That's the interesting part." The creature grinned, "He never willingly did so. He was used for part of a human transmutation used to make him more like you, Alphonse, your father, and your teacher."

Edward turned back towards Mustang who looked exhausted.

"I got ambushed by the homunculi- Bradley and his 'son' Selim. Said that they lost you, their favorite pawn and were 'pushing up their schedule' to accommodate for plans going awry."

"Shit." Edward spat and turned towards the bald headed kid. "How long until the comet hits?"

"A week."

Edwad turned back to Mustang, "How long has it been since I disappeared?"

Roy shrugged, "About six days."

Edward then turned to the being. "Let me take Mustang for a week in my time, with his alchemy. I'll return him here for you to do with as you wish."

"What?!" Roy exclaimed and the being grinned.

"Oh, you have a plan Mr. Avatar?"

"Am I able to trade benders to you like you can do for me? And they still stay alive?"

"If their toll doesn't kill them, and they can survive that, yes."

"Perfect." Edward said with a grin then turning to Mustang. "Come on Colonel, you're going on a field trip." He turned toward Aang who smiled and the two teens hooked their arms around Roy's and dragged him into the gate they appeared from and it shut behind them.

Truth, who was perfectly fine with being left behind, chuckled.

"He makes things interesting to say the least."

Wrath and Pride waited for the light of the transmutation circle to die down only to find the twisted and grotesque remains of the extra bodies they had thrown in. It was hard to tell what parts belongs to what but there were ripped pieces of blue military fabric.

"Father will not be pleased that another sacrifice didn't survive." Pride commented as he kicked the bloody mass of flesh and Wrath grimaced.

"If anything it shows that the Colonel was weak. Father has other candidates to choose from."

With that, the two left the chamber.

Mustang found himself in a jungle in the next instant and Edward (and the teen who he'd let to learn the name of) didn't seem fazed whatsoever. In fact, they ignored him as they led the trek through the weird landscape.

"I'll head back to my body then and head towards where I appeared in the first place. If anything happens with the comet, it's a good in between location between the Earth Kingdom and Northern Water Tribe." Edward said and the bald kid nodded. Roy, however, was just as confused as when Fullmetal first showed up.

"What do you mean 'head back to your body'?" Mustang asked and Edward turned to him.

"Well, right now we're in the Spirit World, aka the physical manifestation of souls and beings live here and I have the ability freely go in between here and the Mortal Realm, aka where all of the people and human civilization is. Speaking of- they don't have alchemy here. They have a thing called bending which is essentially the manipulation of the natural elements of fire, air, water, and earth using different martial art styles. There are four, well, three nations that correspond with each element they are primarily able to bend. The Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the now extinct Air Nomads. There's been a war going on here for a hundred years and the Fire Nation committed a genocide against the Air Nomads. Aang here was the last one as well as the previous Avatar."

Aang gave him a wave with a sad smile and Roy frowned. This seemed more complicated than what he thought Fullmetal would be up to. Then again, it was better than the alternative of not being alive whatsoever.

"So, what's this 'Avatar' thing you and that..thing…were talking about?"

"It's a person who is able to bend all four elements and has powers that normal benders don't have, like being able to go into the Spirit World, and other things. It's a reincarnation cycle so before me was a firebender, before him was an earthbender, before her was a waterbender, and so on."

"And Fullmetal somehow ended up as one?" Mustang asked as he ducked under a branch.

"He died at the same time I went into, well, a coma really for using the Gate to get Ling and Envy out of Gluttony's stomach. The toll would have taken my entire being but since Aang was killed in the Avatar State, a kind of special power that uses the energy of all past Avatars at once, the line would be broken and the universe would start going into chaos. In order to prevent that, the Truth, the being at the Gate, said I could fill the gap or pay my toll. I can't do alchemy anymore but I am a decent bender now." Edward explained with a smirk. They were standing in front of a type of swirling portal.

"It's been less than a week!" Roy exclaimed, "I know you're a genius, as much as I hate to admit it, but even you can't learn something that quickly."

Edward let out a grin and Mustang sighed in annoyance.

"Well Colonel. That'd be that case if I were only gone a week in this world's time but six days to you equals about three to four months here in the Mortal Realm. If we're getting technical, three months in the Spirit World equates to a week in the Mortal Realm so keep that in mind." Edward turned to look behind him at the portal that seemed to be fading a bit. "This natural portal is fading so I have to catch this. Colonel, just follow Aang and I'll meet up with you soon. We're gonna go fight a war." With a two fingered salute, Edward disappeared into the portal and it faded out of existence.

Roy and Aang turned to look at each other until Aang shrugged.

"Well, we better get moving. I'll tell you more about what Edward didn't talk about."

Edward himself darted in his semi-corporeal form towards the beach house where he found his body, with his eyes still glowing (creepily in his opinion) surrounded by the group of benders (and Sokka) who he'd become friends with.

"I hope this is how this works." Edward muttered and shot forward into his body where he suddenly jerked out of his trance and gasped for air while the others jumped up in shock.

"Alright- rentry is a bit of a rough landing but I can deal with that." Edward sighed to himself.

"Finally! We'd thought you'd never come back Lead-foot." Ah, Toph's nickname for Ed just 'warmed' his heart. He kind of missed being called Fullmetal…back on that topic.

"Sorry- I just had to take care of some Spirit World business. Speaking of- we have to head towards the Northern Earth Kingdom?"

"And why's that? Did you get any information?" Sokka asked eagerly.

"Well, I got us one of my most trusted allies even if he's a pain in the ass and a master strategist. Plus, we don't know what the Fire Nation is going for so we can see off the coast which direction their navy fleet will will be heading- the Central Earth Kingdom or the Northern Water Tribe."

The group nodded and split up to pack up their stuff and prepare for the flight. They'd have to continuously travel to get there on time but if Ed's plan that he was slowly forming actually worked, he might be able to take out two birds with one stone.

And a wild, disoriented Mustang appears! Hope you enjoyed this chapter~
