Chapter 11: The Princess from Greece
Author's POV
The princess looked at the man who welcomed her into the kingdom of Egypt. The girl was only 15 years of age and she came across the Mediterranean Sea from the country of Greece. Atem's uncle, Akhenaden looked at the princess and smirked, "I assume that your trip went well. I know crossing the sea was tiresome and then you had to come into a heated climate."
"By the way to get things started my name is princess Andy and I hail from Greece. My trip sir was well but the climate is going to take awhile to get used to. Now I know I'm 15 and a little young but my mind tells me that this is more than just a normal visit" the princess said. Akhenaden just kept his smirk, "Your mind is correct. This is more than a normal visit, Your here because I want you to meet my nephew the prince of Egypt."
At that moment Andy knew what he was talking about, an arrange marriage between her and the prince now this was something she was expecting to happen. "Let me guess you want to partner with Egypt and produce trade between our countries." "Actually no I just want my nephew to marry a royal person and make him forget about the girl he always hang out with. The boy has forgotten that he's a prince and that girl is just a commoner living in the palace. If I had my way I would send her away, far away" Akhenaden said.
Anzu then smiled, "Alright then I accept and hopefully I can change his mind but I must ask what will happen if I fail." The man looked at her and sighed, "Nothing because fate then will be truly sealed and there will be nothing that you or I can do. How do do think it could take?" "I'm not sure but because I'm the princess the prince has no choice but to hang out with me until I leave" Anzu said.
-2 days later-
The princess was trying her hardest to woo the prince over but the love that he had for this women, this peasant girl was way to strong, it was like the red string of fate connected the two and that made them soulmates. Not only that but Anzu found out that Atem would sneak away from her when she wasn't looking and go met the girl he was in love with to any chance he got. Anzu wanted to meet the girl, the prince love so much, in fact she find out secretly that they were already together in relationship and didn't want anyone else to know. She debated on whether to tell Atem's uncle but decided against because she wanted to see for herself what the girl was like. Each hour that Anzu talked with her, her attitude began to change and understood why Atem loves her so much and why Atem's uncle didn't want her to be Queen.
Anzu actually told the girl that she didn't have to worry about her trying to marry Atem, there was no point because she could the two were soulmates and nothing can ever break the red string of fate, nothing not even Atem's uncle. She smiled at the girl and told to her that she was going to leave today, she didn't want to be apart of the plan the Atem's uncle came up with any longer because their was no reason. Sure the girl may be a peasant but Anzu saw something within that girl, a pure strong noble heart and that's why she thought the girl was a perfect lover for the prince and would make a good queen once the two marry which she knows will probably once the prince is made Pharaoh.
Anzu just walked up to Atem's uncle and slapped him across the face not caring about who saw, "I will take no part in this plan any longer. The girl, who you clearly hate just because she is peasant and don't want to marry your nephew is out right dull. I took time to know the girl and she has a beautiful heart, besides I can separate the prince from her because they're already soulmates. The two have a red string of fate that connects both of them even when they are far away and you may not like it but that is something you can't break no matter what you do to the girl, Atem is going to marry you. I hope you enjoy some of days of control left because once he is Pharaoh you'll finally see that Dawn will be a great queen."
After that the princess from Greece left Egypt and made a vow to never return until Atem was Pharaoh which won't be long from now. Everyone who was present for that speech all stared at Atem's uncle, some of them had smirks because he deserved that slap and a good talking to, Seto who was the man's son was happy that someone else beside Atem was standing up to his father. Seto even agreed on some of things the princess said and that was nothing can ever break the red strings of fate and he was a good friend to Dawn as well, so he knows that the girl had a beautiful heart.
As for Atem's uncle he just held his fist tight, he hated how nothing was going to go his way but now there was nothing he could do nothing at all and now his nephew was going to marry a peasant girl once he was Pharaoh, that in turn made him furious but he can't mess with fate he knew that all too well. He tried to convince his father a long time ago not to make his brother marry a peasant but it happen anyway and now history was repeating itself and Atem was in some ways like his father, way to caring for his own good yet also held great power within himself. He also knew that Atem once he was Pharaoh was now going to be the official holder of the Millennium Puzzle, the most powerful millennium item there is and they're still some powers from that specific that even he doesn't know about. Finally after arguing within his mind, Atem's uncle finally gave up decided to let his nephew do what he wants and let fate just take it course, it want the gods of Egypt want to happen and so he will no longer interfere and maybe the princess from Greece was right, maybe he should try and get to know the girl Atem was in love but he'll once the girl is made queen and see why she is special.
