Deidara sat perched on the desk Indian style, not really paying attention to the conversation going on around him as he scrawled notes that probably he could only decipher onto post it notes that held in his lap, sitting it atop his crossed ankles. To his left Sasori leaned against the desk with both hands flattened against the desktop. Every now and again Sasori would lean over to see what Deidara was writing but it all looked like hieroglyphics before he would readjust himself to both the conversation and his old position.

Kisame's voice was trailing off from different areas of the room as he walked around. "Man, Pein's totally whipped now. Who is that girl anyways?" The last word was said as he plopped onto the teacher's chair. He looked around, and immediately began sifting through the papers on the desk and tried rattling at the locked desk drawers.

"I don't know but that bitch isn't fucking sane, she's like a demented nag disguised as an angel or something." Hidan was lying sprawled out on a cluster of desks behind Deidara and Sasori. Deidara didn't even glance up but by his side Sasori snickered.

Kisame sniggered from the teacher's desk and Deidara could hear the swooshing as he spun the seat. "Oh so like the female version of you then?" he asked mockingly.

There was a slam as Hidan smacked down hard on the table with an open palm, "Man fuck you and your dickwad shirt, Kisame! Seriously that is the ugliest thing-" Deidara began to drone his nail-scraping-against-chalkboard voice out.

"You know it's coming close to the end of the month."

Deidara glanced up having realized Sasori was speaking to him. He looked at the redhead who had angled his upper body to him and quirked an eyebrow, "So?"

Sasori opened his mouth but was interrupted by Hidan who had stopped his yelling just long enough, "HOLY SHIT. YOU'RE RIGHT. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE BACK SOON. FUCK MY LIFE." There was a loud smack as Hidan face palmed.

Deidara and Sasori gawked at his commotion before Deidara rolled his eyes and went back to writing on the post it notes.

"Are you going to miss Sasori, Deidara?" Kisame asked. Deidara didn't look up and just shrugged dismissively. Kisame chortled.

The old conversation was resumed but after awhile there was a pause where Deidara felt a tap on his shoulder. Once again he glanced up into Sasori's curious eyes, their proximity allowing for Deidara to see the long eyelashes curl and fan out around Sasori's eyes. "You are going to miss me though, right?"

Instead of responding Deidara looked down, tearing off the top post it note before scrawling a short illegible answer. He ripped it off and in the same fluid movement smacked it right dab on the center of Sasori's forehead, "We'll just have to see, un." He gave Sasori a once over before resuming in his writing.

It almost looked like Sasori was going to go cross-eyed from trying to read the paper that was still plastered against his forehead.

"MAN, KISAME I'M FUCKING WARNING YOU-"

A teacher slammed the door open, her obsidian eyes were fuming, "WHAT ARE YOU BOYS DOING IN HERE WITHOUT THE TEACHER?"

Without missing a beat Deidara ripped off another post it note and stuck it against Sasori's face before he turned around giving her apologetic look, "Sorry, miss, Hidan told us we were allowed in here. I guess he lied, un."

Her eyes darted around at the four of them, "And who is Hidan?"

Hidan pointed at Kisame. Kisame pointed at Hidan. Sasori pointed at Hidan. Deidara pointed at Hidan. Hidan's mouth dropped open as the teacher glowered and gestured for him to follow her out.

"Fuck you guys…" Hidan mumbled under his breath as the teacher grabbed him by the back of shirt collar for lingering.

"YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING ASSHOLES!" Hidan screamed as bits of food sputtered from his mouth and he stuffed his face with even more food.

Deidara wiped some of Hidan's food particles off his face, disgusted. "Watch it, un! As if you talking isn't bad enough."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Hidan shouted at Deidara. A book flew swiftly in between the two of them just in time to catch the spray of saliva and chewed bread. Deidara's eye followed the pale arms up to find the doll like red head smiling softly down at him. He was almost grateful for him being there, but the cocky smile made it hard. Irritably swatting the book out his way, Deidara rolled his eyes.

"What?" Sasori pouted, "No, thank you? Not even a nice save?"

"Oh thank you, my hero, my knight in shinning armor. What ever would I have done if you had not made it in time to stop the hideous beast, un?" His eyes rested for a brief second repulsively on Hidan. Not a second after Deidara finished Sasori was squeezing himself on to Deidara's seat, his nose barely brushing against Deidara's crinkled up nose. The further Deidara leaned back the further in Sasori leaned in.

"I've come to the conclusion that you aren't very good with your words. How about a kiss? They say actions speak louder than words anyways." Sasori puckered his lips, but Deidara carelessly pushed his face back.

"I don't know who 'they are', but they sound stupid, un."

Sasori leaned his head against Deidara's shoulder, "Can you believe this our last lunch together as roomies?"

Knowing that Sasori wasn't going to be the one to move, Deidara rolled his shoulder to get Sasori's head off and jumped over a seat, sliding his tray with him. "I guess I can because it is, un."

Deidara had fallen asleep relatively early that night. He lay there peacefully in a deep sleep until he felt the foot of his bed shift under an unknown weight and his stomach dropped. His line of thought was a scrambled mess. He didn't know what to think, but his body acted for him. Deidara's upper body snapped into an up right position and he found himself face to face with another person. The room was dark, but after a minute he was able to process the red hair, and big eyes that met his. "What are you doing, un? You about gave me a heart attack!" He hissed angrily, almost pulling the covers back on him except for the dead weight on top of them allowed for no movement. He glared even more.

"It's our last night together," Sasori answered in a hushed voice.

"So I've heard." Deidara regrettably rubbed the sleepies from his eyes.

"We should do something." Sasori insisted. Deidara blinked looking at him to see if he was high. He leaned in, even in the dark he could see the whites of his eyes were in fact white. He leaned back and regarded him reproachfully.

"Like what, un?"

Sasori looked around the dark room, thoughtfully, and Deidara watched, as Sasori's eyes seemed to light up as his eyes fell on their window. "Let's go outside!" Sasori exclaimed still using a hushed voice.

Deidara rolled his eyes and laid back down, after an attempted tug, the blanket gave way. It was pass curfew and he was tired. "No."

"Yes!" Sasori scrambled out of bed. He acted like a kid on Christmas, almost jumping from excitement. Eagerly grabbing Deidara's hands, Sasori pulled him back up.

Deidara's shoulders sagged as Sasori flung his sheets back and swung his legs off the bed for him like a puppet. "I want to sleep, un." Deidara protested.

"You can sleep tomorrow." Deidara looked into Sasori's big brown eyes. They were lit up in excitement, and Deidara found himself rolling his eyes as he got to his feet.

"After you, un." Deidara waved vaguely at the window, and followed more slowly and mechanically after the practically skipping Sasori. As Sasori propped open the window, Deidara realized a very crucial problem in Sasori's plans. "Wait, un. How are we supposed to get down, we're on the third floor?"

Sasori swatted his hand dismissively. "Just follow my lead." Deidara watched as Sasori gingerly reached out the window and grabbed hold of the drainpipe next to their window. Once he had a good grip, Sasori swung his legs out and shimmied down. Sasori pushed off the wall a few feet above the ground, and landed gently. Looking satisfied with the trip, Sasori smiled back up at Deidara and began waving him down.

The climb down looked easy enough, but Deidara hesitated for a moment. He still had plenty of time to go back to bed and fall asleep, and if he locked the window he wouldn't even have to worry about Sasori waking him back up, but he didn't. Following Sasori's lead, Deidara took hold of the drainpipe and climbed down to meet Sasori.

Deidara and Sasori walked around the campus aimlessly, talking about nothing really, which sort of surprised Deidara. He had expected that once outside, under the starry night sky he would have to endure Sasori constantly hitting on him or pestering him for a kiss or something along those lines, but Sasori didn't do any of those things. Sasori did try to hold Deidara's hand, but after one feeble push to the side, Sasori laughed it off and didn't try again.

"Hey, let's go over there," Sasori said, nudging Deidara's arm and pointing at the track in front of them.

"Why there, un?" Deidara didn't have any interest in a track. Every track was the same. They are built in an oval shape and all made to be the same distance. Once you've seen one you've seen them all, Deidara felt, but Sasori was set on it.

"Come on, Deidara, I'll race you." Sasori raced off towards the track before Deidara had even consented to go. Rolling his eyes, Deidara ran after him. In a matter of seconds Deidara was rushing pass Sasori who called out at him in surprise; which only made Deidara laugh. Sasori had been given a pretty good head start, but it hadn't been enough.

Deidara reached the track a good while before Sasori. Both were breathing slightly heavier, but they weren't anywhere close to being out of breath. "You're really slow, un." Deidara laughed at Sasori.

"No, I'm not!" It seemed to Deidara that Sasori's cheeks had turned red, but in the moonlight he couldn't be too sure. "I wasn't trying."

"I wasn't trying and I still beat you, un."

"How about a rematch, best two out of three?"

"Are we including that last race?" Deidara asked in a bored tone. He had crushed Sasori so badly that last time that he didn't even see the point of another race.

"No, that last one doesn't count."

"How far, un?"

"We'll just do a hundred meter sprint. From here to there." Sasori pointed at one end of the track to the other, mapping out the very obvious course.

Deidara yawned and stretched his arms out carelessly. "Fine let's get this over with, un."

They made their way to the starting line and after Sasori counted off Deidara bolted down the track leaving Sasori in his dust, both times. After the second race and technically Deidara's third win, they ended back up at the starting line. Deidara smiled smugly back at a heavy breathing Sasori. "Well that makes two out of three, un. Three out of three if you count the first one."

Sasori looked back down the track. Looking determined, Sasori challenged Deidara again. "One more race."

"Another, un?" Deidara couldn't believe his ears, "Do you get some weird enjoyment out of losing?"

Sasori's eyes seemed to be filled with a confidence that Deidara felt shouldn't have been there after the ass-kicking he had just been given, but it was there nonetheless. "I can't say the losing view wasn't all that bad, but let's race one more time and this time, let's make it interesting."

Deidara squinted, somewhat interested in what he had in mind. "How so, un?"

"Let's make a bet. If I win this race I get a kiss…"

"HA!" Deidara laughed. This kid didn't stop. Three times Deidara had beaten him and here he is trying to make things interesting. Not having anything to worry about Deidara figured he might as well take him up on the offer. "Fine. And when I win you have to sleep out here all night."

"Deal." Sasori stuck out a hand, and Deidara took it.

Sasori counted off again, but this time when they took off Sasori and Deidara were neck and neck. Deidara was confused at first, but as he watched Sasori pull ahead he realized what Sasori had done and cursed at him. "You little fucker, un!"

Sasori crossed the finish line laughing, no longer look at all exhausted. "You cheated!"

"I didn't cheat." Sasori pouted, teasingly. "I just reserved my energy until I felt the need to use it. That's what you do in a race."

Deidara was seething. He couldn't believe he could fall for something so stupid! He should have known Sasori wasn't trying when they made that stupid bet. Deidara was about to yell some more, but before he could open his mouth, Sasori had grabbed hold of him and pulled him, pressing his body into him, and kissing him. Deidara blinked a couple of times before kissing him back, he had lost the bet, not fair and square, but he should've known better and these were the terms.

When Deidara felt as though he had paid his dues he pulled away. Smiling Sasori looked at him, and without so much as a word, Deidara spun around sharply on his heels, whipping his hair in Sasori's face and walked back to their dorms.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BUDDY. I HOPE YOURE HAVING AN AMAZING TIME! GAHHHHH :DDD

So my older bro was saying how it seemed like Gai was Kishimoto's favorite cause he was always able to pull through and do miraculous things when fighting the Akatsuki and the way he said it, I almost died of laughter. On that note, review, follow, and favorite por favor!
