A/N: I promise this one is happier than the last two. I don't want to give anything away, but I'm just gonna tell you to breathe. I got some comments asking about the last chapter. I promise I'm not as cruel as I seem to be. I know I just updated this morning but this chapter basically wrote itself and is very fluffy.

Kurt ran to Blaine's side and threw his arms around him.

Finn saw the scene from the top of the stairs and turned around making sure no one went down into the basement. Especially not Rachel.

"We've called an ambulance. He's still alive," the officer told Jack. "They should be here in two minutes."

Kurt refused to move from the position he was in, holding Blaine as tightly as he possibly could. He could feel his heartbeat and he needed it to stay that way. He had to feel Blaine's heart beating so he knew he was still alive.

They heard the sirens pull up to the house. Finn ran out to comfort his girlfriend and tell Burt and Carole what was going on.

The paramedics ran down the stairs with the gurney in tow. Jack came up behind Kurt and pried him off of Blaine.

"No," Kurt screamed trying to break free.

"Kurt, they have to take him to the hospital," Jack said holding the hysterical boy.

"We can take one other person," the paramedic told Jack.

"Kurt, go," he said releasing him. "I'll follow in the car."

Kurt didn't question him because the less they spoke the faster Blaine could get to the hospital. He ran after the paramedics and got into the ambulance while the rest of the group followed.

In the ambulance Kurt hand onto Blaine's hand as tightly as he could.

"Don't you dare lose this fight, Blaine Anderson," he said quietly. "I'm holding you to the promise of New York and kids and cat. Marriage. Being happy together," he was starting to cry. "I'm not letting you out of this deal."

The ambulance pulled up to the hospital with the group directly behind jumping out of their vehicles and running towards the entrance.

Blaine was quickly taken away by doctors and nurses once out of the vehicle. Kurt tried to follow, but again Jack held him back.

"They'll tell us when he's okay," Jack told the boy.

Kurt didn't care that it wasn't his dad or even someone he had known long, but he turned and held onto Jack as tightly as he could.

"It's an OD," one of the nurses said.

"He's a fucking kid," the doctor said, "okay, we need to clear his system quickly."

It wasn't too long before the doctor came out into the waiting room. Jack knew that it wasn't going to be. Either Blaine was okay and sleeping or dead. There was no in between.

"The patient's father," Jack and Kurt jumped from their seats to the doctor. "He's okay. Luckily, his system didn't have much in it. Quick stomach pump and he's sleeping."

Kurt burst into tears quickly followed by Jack.

"Can we see him," Burt asked.

"Only family right now until we move him to a room," the doctor informed them.

"Why a room," Finn asked.

"We need to keep him over night. We're not worried just standard operation. Just being cautious," the doctor explained.

"Come on, Kurt," Jack said ushering Kurt.

"Family," the doctor said.

"He is," Jack informed him.

"I'm gonna stay out here," Rachel told her father. "I can't see him in another hospital bed."

"Are you sure," Kurt asked her hugging his friend.

"Yeah," she squeaked and let go of Kurt. "You go. Tell him we love him."

"I will," Kurt said.

The doctor led Jack and Kurt back to where Blaine was sleeping. They sat down on each side of him. Kurt took his hand and he was ecstatic to feel Blaine hold his back.

Kurt was resisting the urge to lie on top of him in the hospital. He figured he'd do that once he was awake and lay with him that night so he could sleep.

About two hours later the group was standing in Blaine's private room watching him sleep. No one had said anything to anyone outside of the six of them. The doctor assured them Blaine would be waking up shortly.

Jack saw the police officers standing outside of the room and left to speak with them.

"I hope he doesn't start yelling," Rachel said.

"Why," Kurt replied, "the cops weren't a ton of help. Blaine did it all himself."

"And you," Rachel added, "and I just don't want him yelling in the hospital. If they were outside I'd want him to."

"You did close to nothing," Jack said coldly.

"We got him back," the officer answered.

"After you ignored a phone from him and his boyfriend gave the information you needed. You just had the guns," he explained, "I have a gun and could have done what you did."

"Sir," the officer started.

"No, don't try that," Jack snapped, "you didn't do your jobs until my kid had overdosed and was lying in the basement of a high profile drug dealer."

Jack didn't say another word. He walked back into the room with the rest of his family and friends.

"We're gonna get some food," Burt said motioning to his family and Rachel. "You want anything?"

Jack looked at Kurt sitting holding Blaine's hand. The love this boy had for his son was incredible. "I'll go get something from the cafeteria," he told them.

"That's where we were headed. We can go together," Finn said hopefully.

"I'll call if he wakes up while you're gone," Kurt said not turning around to look at the rest of the people in the hospital room.

Kurt honestly wanted them all to leave. He knew it was cold considering one of them was Blaine's father, but he wanted to say something to Blaine before he woke up and didn't want anyone in the room when he did.

They all left silently while Kurt stayed behind holding Blaine's hand.

"You scared the shit out of me," he started, "if you ever pull something like this again I will…I can't even say it. You know, I saw a side of Rachel today that I thought I'd never see. She was so scared. Couldn't even go into the emergency room because she couldn't stand seeing you like this.

We talk a lot and I love talking to you. We do a lot of other stuff too, which I find just as enjoyable, but we never talked about the future until you brought it up the other day. I was so shocked. I would have thought because you're a year under me that we would break up when I graduate in a few months and probably never talk again. But you didn't. You see a future with kids," Kurt chuckled at the thought of Blaine as a dad. "You want to move to New York so I can sing on Broadway. When I woke up and you weren't in bed with me I saw those dreams slowly disappear. They were replaced by images of your funeral. Me throwing myself on your casket in sobs thinking you could be dead.

Blaine, you are the love of my life and I just can't stand the thought of losing you."

"You're stuck with me," Blaine said sleepily.

Kurt's tears started falling faster. "Good," he replied.

"Before you say anything else I have a request," Blaine told him.

"Anything."

"Kiss me," he said looking at Kurt like he always did.

"Easy," Kurt replied and leaned over to kiss him.

The sparks felt brand new when their lips met again. Kurt felt a surge on energy rush through his entire body.

"I love you," Blaine said once Kurt pulled away. "I'm so happy you figured it out. I knew you would."

"Took a little longer than I'm willing to admit," Kurt laughed. "But we found you and you're okay."

"Yup, I'm fine," Blaine said tugging Kurt back down so he could kiss him.

The doctor walked in catching the boys in a lip lock. "Excuse me," he said walking to the other side of Blaine's bed. "Just checking how you're feeling."

"I'm good, doc," Blaine informed him. "Can I go home now?"

"Sorry, we're gonna keep you over night," the doctor explained, "You can go home tomorrow afternoon."

The doctor finished looking over Blaine making sure he was okay and left the room.

"How am I supposed to get 'I'm so happy you're alive sex' if I'm in the hospital," Blaine said throwing his arms up in exasperation.

"You weren't getting that no matter what," Kurt laughed tugging Blaine's arms back to his side. Kurt sent a quick text to Jack saying Blaine was awake. "You mind," he asked motioning to the bed.

"I insist," Blaine said moving over and lifting up the blanket so Kurt could slide into the bed and cuddle while they could. "The last time I was here. I had just woken up from a coma," he started to talk. "Kurt, I'm sorry."

"For what," Kurt said making Blaine rest his head on his chest a little and holding him.

"Relapse," Blaine said. He was ashamed of himself for letting it get so far in that basement.

"Here's the thing," Kurt started, "you were kidnapped by a crazy drug dealer and his minions. They locked you in a basement with a shit ton of drugs. The same ones that you were still recovering from. I knew you weren't completely out of the woods yet, but you're okay and still focused on recovery, correct?"

"Yes, I promise no more relapses," he said kissing Kurt's chest.

"Then you have nothing to be sorry about," Kurt told him as his father walked into the room.

"Dad," Blaine said looking up.

Kurt went to get out of the bed, but Jack motioned for him to stay put. "Blaine," was all Jack could get out his mouth before he finally released the sobs that were being held in and dropped to his knees.

"Dad, I'm okay," Blaine said perking up not wanting to see his father cry.

"I know just seeing you in that damn bed again," he choked out.

Blaine looked around. He knew why Rachel didn't want to come in. she hated hospitals and seeing Blaine in this position again would have killed her. He didn't even think about what his dad must have been feeling during this entire thing.

"I'm gonna give you two some privacy," Kurt said kissing Blaine quickly then walking out the door.

Jack went over to Blaine's bed and sat down in the chair Kurt had been occupying. "You know how to freak a dad out."

"Sorry, I thought," Blaine started, "I was stupid enough to think if I called the police they'd actually listen."

"It's not stupid, Blaine," Jack told him, "Kurt had the same idea. Just you weren't going to go anywhere. But the cops should have done their jobs. They didn't listen. Then Kurt basically told them where you were."

Blaine smiled to himself.

"That phone message was genius," he told his son. "Blaine, after all of this I need to know what you want to do."

"About what," Blaine asked.

"School. Lima. All of it," he explained.

"Dad, I've transferred schools so much that I don't have any real friends, besides Kurt," he started, "and I'm not gonna sit here and say that we should move away because of this. Rachel is a senior that's cruel. I'm a junior and next year I'm gonna graduate and move to New York with Kurt."

"Yeah," Jack smiled remembering his conversation with Kurt, "he told me about your future plans," he chuckled. "Never thought you'd settle down."

"All I can think about is a life with Kurt," Blaine told him looking out the room window seeing Burt hand Kurt something to eat.

"Wow," Jack said.

"What," Blaine asked his father.

"I've never seen anyone look at another person the way you two look at each other," he answered. "Even when we didn't know where you were when he said your name his eyes lit up. He saw you lying there not moving and refused to let go when the paramedics got there."

Blaine smiled. He knew that Kurt loved him. None of this shocked Blaine at all. He would have done the same thing if the roles would have been reversed.

"So, married, two kids, and New York," Jack asked him.

"And apparently a cat," Blaine added. "I remember him saying we were getting a cat at some point. I may have been unconscious and dreamt it though." He couldn't take his eyes off of Kurt standing in the hallway eating whatever it was that his father had brought to him from the cafeteria. He loved the way Kurt wrinkled his nose every time he took a bite; it meant that he didn't like what he was eating and wanted to spit it out. "I can't wait until I graduate and can propose. I feel like I'm gonna sing it to him, maybe play the piano. Oh, did I tell you I joined glee?"

"No, you're singing again," Jack asked very excited about Blaine getting back to what he loved.

"Yeah, I went to one rehearsal because Kurt forced me and I love it, dad. Can't wait for more," Blaine gushed.

Jack sat and stared as Blaine went on about glee club and all of its members. He knew all of them since they were friends of Rachel's but he loved his son's enthusiasm. He hadn't seen Blaine this excited about anything, besides Kurt, in years. He couldn't wait to hear Blaine play the piano again and singing again. He missed that smooth voice and was thrilled he'd be able to hear it again sometime soon.

"I might not be able to perform at regionals, but if we make it to nationals Mr. Schue said I might solo," Blaine said excitedly. "Dad? Dad, are you listening," Blaine asked shaking his father's arm.

"Yeah, I'm really happy for you, Blaine," Jack told his son. He was met by the warm smile he thought he'd never see again. "And proud that you are my son."

Jack got up and hugged Blaine. They hadn't had a moment like this since before Blaine started at Kennedy.

"I'm gonna guess you're pulling away because you'd prefer to be hugging Kurt," Jack laughed sitting back down.

"No," Blaine replied quietly, "I'm just truly happy for the first time in years, dad," he said feeling the tears staining his face.

"Okay, I'm done with the crying," Jack said with a smile. "I'm bringing the boyfriend back so you smile."

Blaine laughed at his frantic father pulling Kurt into the room from the hallway.

"Apparently I'm supposed to make you smile," Kurt said handing Blaine the rest of what he was eating.

"I saw the look on your face while you were eating it. Why are you giving it to me? Haven't I suffered enough," Blaine laughed looking at what he was given.

"Fine, thought you might be hungry," Kurt said taking it back and tossing it into the trash.

Kurt managed to convince his father and the doctor to let him stay at the hospital in the night claiming Blaine could only sleep with Kurt next to him.

Blaine couldn't help but laugh watching Kurt argue with everyone to convince them to let him stay. It was one of the many things that Blaine loved about Kurt.

Finally everyone had left and Kurt snuggled into bed with Blaine.

Kurt felt hands roaming around under the blanket. "You're gonna lose a hand," he said closing his eyes.

"I didn't tell you," Blaine laughed, "so this guy I hooked up with at Dalton like months ago was at Andy's trying to get handy with me. I had to remove his hand from my dick at least a dozen times."

"Did you tell him that it belonged to me," Kurt asked looking Blaine in the eye.

"No," Blaine said almost blushing. "I know it does, but I don't know why."

"Blaine, I'm kidding," Kurt said laughing. "Okay, it's been a long ass day. It's time to sleep."

The two of them fell asleep very quickly knowing that the next day Blaine could leave the hospital and be able to get back to a normal life without the threat of his drug dealer attempting to kill him.

Kurt knew that Andy locked Blaine in that basement with the drugs because he thought that Blaine would overdose and die so he wouldn't have to deal with a problematic client any longer. Thankfully Blaine didn't let it get too far and actually kill himself while down there.

They woke up the next morning to the nurses bustling about in the room. They took out the IV that Blaine had in his hand and told him he could get dressed. Jack had been by to drop off some clothes for Blaine then left to get the house ready for Blaine to come home.

"Down side to this," Blaine said pulling on his pants. "I'm guessing our parents aren't going to let us sleep over at each other's houses anymore."

"By the way your dad knows we were having sex before you disappeared," told him handing him his shirt.

"I'm glad you're so forthcoming with information," Blaine laughed sliding his shirt over his torso. "Doc, I have an important question."

The doctor turned around and stared at Blaine, "what is it?"

"You see that beautiful boy standing over there," Blaine asked pointing to Kurt. The doctor nodded. "I would love to be with him sooner rather than later. How later is it going to be?"

The doctor laughed at Blaine's question. "You're fine to do whatever you like. I'd stay away from heavy foods."

"Kurt doesn't let me eat that stuff anymore," Blaine pouted.

"If you don't mind me saying, you're whipped kid," the doctor laughed followed by Blaine. "Just be careful, but you're fine."

"Doc, if my boyfriend wasn't right over there I'd probably kiss you," Blaine said shaking the man's hand.

"Babe," Kurt called, "your dad signed you out. We can leave."

The boys walked out of the hospital and to Kurt's car. "Wait," Blaine said pulling on Kurt's hand to make him stop walking.

"What," Kurt asked standing in front of him.

"If I…" Blaine paused, "if I stood here right now and asked you to marry me what would you say?"

"The courthouse is four blocks away," Kurt smiled and kissed him. "Blaine, I figured you'd want to break up after I graduated, but after all of this and talking to you these last three days I know that there's nothing that could make that happen."

"Think my dad would agree to boarding school in New York for my senior year," Blaine chuckled.

"I think a year with your dad, without Rachel," Kurt started, "will be what you both need drastically."

"I guess, but I'll also be without you," he said taking Kurt's hips.

"There's these things called airplanes. We can visit each other. Holidays and random weekends," Kurt said with a huge smile.

"I'll surprise you on your birthday," Blaine said pulling him closer.

"You've already ruined the surprise," Kurt laughed.

"Dammit," Blaine said, "well, I have another for you."

"Blaine Devon Anderson, if you propose I'm gonna smack you," Kurt told him taking a step backwards.

Blaine sighed and got down on one knee. "Kurt Hummel…"

"Blaine, what did I just say?"

"The love of my life," Blaine paused to watch Kurt freak out a little bit before he finished, "I convinced our parents to let us have a long weekend and go away for a few days. Want to come?"

Kurt smacked Blaine and walked away.

"Hey," Blaine called running after him. "We can get a hotel room and put the little 'do not disturb' thing on the door. And I can add 'because I'm having sex with my handsome boyfriend' to it."

"Where are you proposing we do this," Kurt asked him.

"Cleveland," Blaine said happily, "I've already booked the hotel so either you're coming or I'm headed there alone. Non-refundable."

"How did a minor book a hotel room?"

"My dad has connections. Pulled a few strings," Blaine said. "He wanted the two of us to get away after what happened. Surprisingly your dad agreed. Had to promise no alcohol or anything else. Which really isn't a problem."

"Alright, I'll go with you," Kurt said opening Blaine's door for him. "But don't think a fancy hotel and dinner is gonna help you get into my pants."

"I didn't think I needed all that," Blaine said.

Kurt quickly shut the door and walked around.

"Kurt Hummel, I really just love you so much," Blaine once Kurt got back into the vehicle.

"I love you too, Blaine Anderson," Kurt said leaning over the center console to kiss Blaine.

Blaine decided it should be like old time and they needed to sneak off to the part to get off a little before heading home. "The usual spot," he asked coming up for air.

"I was hoping you'd suggest that," Kurt said putting the car in gear and driving to the park.

See better. A happy ending to this chapter. I'll probably have the next chapter up by tomorrow afternoon. I finally know where everything is headed. So thanks for reading. Follow? Review? Favorite? Please…I'm actually begging.
