I walked in the door to Grimmauld lace to the sound of Teddy's giggling. I paused a moment and said a quiet thank you to Harry for giving Remus this place to live. I smiled at the memory of Harry brushing off Remus' thanks with the fact that Harry himself did not need the house. Harry also argued that Sirius would have loved to know that Remus had a place to call his own and we all knew that it was a fantastic way to snub Mrs. Black. The argument that Teddy was also more a Black than Harry, was brought up as well. In the end Remus folded on the condition that anyone who wanted to live here was always welcome, but I was the only one who took him up on that offer.

"Mi!" Teddy's yell brought me out of my thoughts.

"Teddy! Hello, I missed you so much, you little terror." I picked him up and kissed his cheek. "Where's your dad Teddy?"

"Book," was the reply with a wiggle to be set down. Once on the floor he took off for the library. I just shook my head and followed. "Da, da. Mi." I stood in the doorway as Teddy tried to get his dad's attention away from a textbook he was working on.

"Yes, you Teddy. Go play, I'm trying to work." Remus tried to brush him off.

"No me, Mi!" Teddy stomped his little foot. "Mi home." He grabbed Remus' arm. "Mi home!"

"Teddy! No!" Remus pulled his arm back forcefully, causing Teddy to cry. He then ran over to me. I scooped him up and cuddled him close.

"Shh Teddy. I've got you baby," I cooed at him.

"No baby." He crossed his little arms and frowned at me.

"Of course you aren't, sorry. Shh I've got you. Nice going Remus. He was trying to tell you that I'm home." I scolded. Remus at least had the decency to look sheepish.

"Hermione! We weren't expecting you back so soon." He came over and hugged me with an arm around my waist and his kiss to my cheek was mirrored sloppily by Teddy. I kissed them both back.

"I missed you both so much, my boys. I loved Egypt, but you weren't there. I'm glad to be home." Remus and I moved to one of the couches and sat down, Teddy curled up in my lap.

"Not that I'm not happy to have you home, but we weren't expecting you for another few weeks."

"I know, but I received some news that forced me home." Remus looked alarmed.

"What did you hear? I haven't heard anything and I can't imagine that you heard something before me." I touched his arm to try and calm him down before I spoke.

"Remus, it's nothing bad, at least I don't think so." I took a deep breath and looked down at Teddy. He smiled at me and I smiled back. "I found out that Teddy is going to be a big brother. That's what brought me home early. I couldn't risk staying much longer due to travel restrictions, and you need to know.'

"Are you saying what I think you're saying Hermione?"

"Yes," I glanced at him shyly. "I'm pregnant. Is that okay with you? I know we've never even talked about children and we've only been together for two months. I was gone for a whole month of those two. And we haven't really even talked about us as a couple for the long term and your wife just died a few months ago..."

"Mione, you'll be fine. We'll be fine. I miss Tonks, really I do, but I care about you. We just fit together. I don't know how we're going to deal with the addition of another baby, but we will together. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "Just think, after so many lives lost we have a new one on the way. That's exciting Mione, and it's a blessing. Yeah we were stupid and I should have known better, but you and I have been through so much we deserve this happiness." I turned to Remus.

"You think we'll be happy?"

"I know we will. Some of our friends and family? That's a whole different story." I started to panic again.

"Oh my goodness, what will the Weasley's think? And Harry? What will Andromeda think?"

"Hermione! Stay with me. Stress is not good for the baby." I started to breathe deeply and calm down. "It doesn't matter what they think. I have all I need right here with you and Teddy and soon a baby of our own." We smiled at each other and looked down at Teddy who had fallen asleep. "Now if you don't mind I think we should put this little one down for a nap and then go take one of our own." His Marauder look was back and he smirked at me.

"Aright, I'll meet you up in our room." I smirked right back. It's good being home.
