Out With The Old And In With The New
Last chapter didn't do too good, but I wasn't expecting it too really. I mean, I did have more of The Hobbit in it rather than Percy Jackson. What I put in that chapter that wasn't from The Hobbit was all I had, which wasn't a good length, so I decided to have some new things into it. At least the chapter was a good length. Alright, here's the next chapter. It might be a short chapter, so try not to expect too much to happen.
After Percy and I made ourselves an official and truthful couple, we went hand in hand to the cafeteria. When we got there, my friends saw us and had very confused looks on their faces, except for Thalia. She seemed a little happier than confused or shocked. Percy and I got our food and we found ourselves a little table that wasn't taken by anyone yet. We took this table for ourselves and ate in a peaceful silence. Every once in a while, I'd sneak glances at him and he'd do the same.
"Percy?" I asked.
"Yes Annabeth?" He responded.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." He responded.
He leaned towards me to kiss me and we would've kissed if our moment wasn't interrupted.
"PERCY!" Screeched none other than Rachel Elizabeth Dare.
We turned to see her coming our way, and it seemed she got everyone's attention in the cafeteria.
"Perseus Jackson, what are you doing?" She asked angered.
"I'm trying to have a decent lunch with my girlfriend." He said.
"She's not your girlfriend, I am. We've been dating ever since seventh grade!" She exclaimed.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I only remember falling in love with someone else." He said.
"She's lying Percy, Wake up." She exclaimed.
"I am awake. This isn't some sort of dream you know." He said
After he said that, she came up to him and slapped him across the face. How dare she strike my boyfriend like that.
"Ow, dude what was that for?" He asked rubbing his cheek.
"For choosing a girl that isn't your girlfriend! Percy I am your real girlfriend. She's just making you believe that she's your girlfriend because she hates me!" She exclaimed. She needs to stop overreacting.
"What girl doesn't hate you exactly?" I said to her.
"You wanna go bitch?" She threatened.
"Not now, I just want to enjoy my lunch with my boyfriend." I said.
"He is not your boyfriend!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah he is/I am." Percy and I said at the exact same time.
Rachel looked like she was really losing her temper. She looked like she was about to throttle us, or at least me since she knows Percy still doesn't remember too much still. Either or, Percy is my boyfriend. Rachel had her chance and she fucked it up. It's her own fault that she lost Percy. I may have taken his heart and lied to him, but before the lies started, his love for her slowly began to die. Popularity may not have gotten to Percy's head but it got into Rachel's head, and the more it consumed her, the more she was suffering the punishment for it. The punishment of losing the one you love.
"Percy if I wasn't your girlfriend how would I have photos of you and me together on my phone?" She asked giving him his phone.
He took it and scrolled through it. She did have quite a lot of photos on her phone of them. The more he scrolled through them, the more I discovered that his eyes looked a bit zoned out. It's as if his eyes are looking through the photos, but wasn't exactly paying that close attention to them. I can only assume that these photos are making him trying to remember those moments. Even though he now knows the truth, he still hasn't recovered all of his memories. I guess he still wanted to try to regain everything that was lost from his mind.
When he was down to the last photo, he sat the phone down on the table still dazed and confused looking, and just sat there in silence for a few moments.
"See Percy, those photos of us wouldn't be in my phone if we were never together in the first place. You and I have been together since 7th grade." She said.
He didn't respond right away. He just seemed to be in such deep thoughts. He looked like he had so many thoughts in his head all at once. A lot of people were looking in our direction out of curiosity. Some were just trying to ignore what was going on here and just going along with whatever it was that they were doing. My friends were looking over at us. They all seemed to be worried of where this might lead to like how it did last time.
"I – I – I actually do remember." He said at a slow pace. (I don't know if something like that is good enough to help someone get their lost memories back, I honestly doubt it, but like I said, I'm trying to wrap this up. So I'm trying to get through this as fast as I can.)
"You have your memories back Percy?" I asked.
He nodded his head yes. He finally has his memories back, and I'm very happy for him. He remembers everything again. The only thing I'm concerned about is what he's gonna do now.
"So you finally remember us being together?" Rachel asked. He nodded his head again. "Great, now I can finally have my man back. Later Annabitch." Rachel said.
She grabbed Percy's wrist to take him along, but he just remained in his seat. "I'm not going anywhere." He firmly said to her.
"Excuse me?" She said turning towards him.
"I said I'm not going anywhere." He said again.
I thought you said you remember about us being together." She said in a pretty bitter kind of way.
"Yeah, I said I do remember now, but I never said I wanted to go back to how things were before my accident." He said.
"What is that supposed to mean?" She asked.
"Rachel, I'm sorry, but you're not the same girl I fell in love with. You've changed, and not in any good way I may add. You've become a monster and I hardly even know you anymore. The more you grow into this monster, the more I can see that you just aren't the right girl for me. Plus you were never around when I was suffering from my car crash, so it makes me question on whether or not you truly love me or if you were just using me." He explained.
"That's only because Annabeth kept you away from me!" She argued.
"And she was right to do so. Because she knew you'd only make things rough on me. Besides, I'm actually happy that she did what she did since it lead me to finding the right girl for me." He said.
"What?" She gritted from her teeth.
"Rachel I'm sorry, but I'm breaking up with you. I just can't stand being anywhere with you anymore. It's Annabeth I'm now in love with and it's her that should be the one dating me." He said as he took my hand into his.
I smiled at that. Hearing him say that was breath taking in its own way. He was dumping Rachel for me, and he loves me. If Rachel wasn't here, I'd jump on his lap and kiss him senseless. Rachel was just steaming here.
"I can't believe you would choose her over me, after everything we've been through!" She said angrily.
"Rachel, I've fallen in love with something else. Nothing you say or do is going to change that." He said.
"I can't believe you Jackson!" Rachel said as she moved closer to him. When she was reaching distance, she slapped him across the face.
That was the last straw. "Hey ass wipe." I said as I got out of my seat and slammed my fist into her face. She fell to the ground holding her nose. Everyone seemed to be surprised that I actually did that. Hey, she just slapped my boyfriend, Ain't no fucking way is anyone getting away with that.
A few seconds later, people began to applause for what I did. Thanks for the attention, but I didn't do that for any applause, I did it because she struck my boyfriend.
"Come on Percy, let's go." I said.
He nodded and got out of his chair. We left the cafeteria and headed out to the parking lot.
"Are you okay Percy?" I asked.
"I am now. Thanks Annabeth." He said.
When his eyes met mine, I instantly grabbed ahold of him and crashed my lips on his. It lasted until we needed to breathe, which was about ten minutes. I guess Percy didn't need as much time to catch his breath as I did for mine. Because he moved his lips to the side of my neck and started planting kisses on me. I closed my eyes and let him work his magic. His kisses on my neck left goosebumps on me and it made me moan like crazy. I wrap my arms around his neck, bringing him closer. He was driving me crazy right now, not that I was complaining or anything. I was just happy that I finally have the man I love.
He was moving his lips from my neck to my cheek, and back to my lips. We were back to heavily making out. He brought my closer to him. This kiss didn't last as long as the one before, but a kiss is a kiss.
"Love you Annabeth." He said.
I love you too Percy." I said as I laid my head on his shoulder and let him hold me. I didn't care what people roaming by thought about us though, I just wanted to be held by my love.
That's all I got for this one. Not exactly what I planned for this chapter, but I'm starting to have a few goddamn writer blocks and it's irritating me. Better than nothing though. Alright, the next chapter is unfortunately is going to be the last one. I need to end this fanfiction so I can finish up all the other ones I'm working on and start some new ones soon. Thank you everyone for your ideas on this fanfiction and for supporting it as soon as you started reading it. I hope that whatever other fanfictions I write in the future will have the same results. Alright, time for a chapter question.
What would you rate this chapter, despite the fact it was a little short and a bit sloppy?
a). 100%
b). 99% - 90%
c). 89% - 80%
d). 79% - 70%
e). 69% - 60%
f). 59% - 0%
P.S. I want to write this real quick because I think it's something I should do. October 7th is when 'The Blood of Olympus' is coming out. I very excited about it, but at the same time sad because this will be the last Percy Jackson story Rick Riordan will write. I looked it up online and rick Riordan feels the same way about his Percy Jackson stories too. He's been writing the Percy Jackson stories for a decade (2004 -2014) and letting the sequels end is as he described it as 'heartbreaking'. He says that ending the Percy Jackson stories is like a son/daughter moving out of the house for collage, you're happy to have had the time to work with such an opportunity, but at the same time you're extremely sad that this opportunity must come to an end. I don't know if it's like that when it comes to people writing fanfictions, but I know that ending them isn't exactly something fun to do. But as the saying goes 'All good things must come to an end'.
There's some other news about Rick Riordan I read online. It's kinda based on the title of this chapter, which is why it has the title name I gave it 'Out With The Old and In With The New'. The difference is that what's ending here isn't a big deal, but what's ending for Rick Riordan is a gigantic deal, which is Percy Jackson. From what I read, next year, if what I read is legit, he'll be staring some Norse mythology stories. If that's true, I'm looking forward to it. Truth be told, I can see Norse mythology books written by Rick Riordan as good stories. Not as good as his Greek/Roman mythologies stories, and maybe not even as good as his Egyptian mythology stories, but they would be great books to read never the less. In your reviews as you answer the questions, tell me what you think about Norse mythology stories. Tell me if you agree with my theory or if you disagree.
Alright well I'm gonna go now, before I start to get all emotional about the ending of Percy Jackson. Later.
