As-salamu alaykum my friends! How's it going? Everything's been going perty gewd for me; I took two of my exams and I know I did pretty well on them even though I haven't gotten my results yet. And uh...that's all I guess, not much has been going on for me except studying and taking exams so, without further adieu, here's chapter 12.

Sakura

She was desperate, no doubt about it, but, in this situation, who wouldn't be? Being locked up for days inside a dark room nearly drove her insane she could not endure such torture anymore, even with the promise of being able to see Sasuke again. She hated relying on the enemy or asking for favors but desperate times called for desperate measures. And with the gift of the bandages and rubbing alcohol, he may be in a good mood for bargaining. She heard the slight shuffle of Kabuto's feet as he walked back to her door.

"Pardon me?"

"..let's make a truce," she said through gritted teeth, her pride was making it hard.

"What makes you think that you're in the position to make a truce?". Sakura clenched her fists tightly; this guy had a natural talent for pushing her buttons. She took a deep breath and composed herself. If she was going to get anywhere with this then she'd have to suppress her pride.

"Look, if you lock me in then I'll probably find another way to break out of here and do something dangerous. I don't like staying in confined places for a long time; all I'm asking is for a few hours of fresh air a day, outsi-"

"No," Kabuto cut in abruptly. Sakura snapped.

"I'm trying really hard to compromise with you and you won't even let even let me finish?!"

"I can't let you go outside, wouldn't want you communicating with your village or escaping...but, I can allow you to roam about certain areas of the lair, with an escort, but I'll need your full cooperation and compliance." Sakura considered her options for a moment; she didn't have a lot of them.

"Okay."

" 'Okay' what?"

"I swear I'll comply and obey you if you let me out of this room for at least four hours a day." She waited for his answer; nothing happened for a few seconds, Sakura wondered if Kabuto had heard her answer. All of a sudden she heard the sound keys jangling and then her door opened. She quickly picked up the supplies and walked out. She had to hold back her enthusiasm as she fully opened the door and stepped out. Yaaay! She was met with a skeptical Kabuto on the other side.

"One wrong move and you'll be stuck in there with no reprieve."

"Yeah, yeah yeah. You aren't the only one who keeps promises, you know." Sakura met his unnerving stare with one of her own. He was the first to look away as he walked away and said,

"Follow me."
