BJ had just left and Sidney took a seat in the chair across from Hawkeye's bed.
"I think it's high time we do some more talking."
"Do you ever stop? Why can't you just leave me alone!"
"Hawkeye, something happened on that bus, and it's not going to get any better unless you tell me what happened."
Hawkeye sat up in his bed.
"Why don't you start off with the chicken, I have a feeling you're not telling me everything."
Hawkeye sighed and shook his head. "We were on the bus and everything was dead silent. Then I heard a clucking from the back of the bus... I made my way back there and I told the woman to keep her chicken quiet..."
"Keep going Hawkeye."
"I started to go back to my seat but... but it stopped. It was quiet. It just stopped clucking."
"What happened to the chicken?"
Hawkeye felt his heart hammer in his chest and his breathing quicken. "S-she smothered it..."
Sidney noticed Hawkeye's reaction and became worried. "Hawkeye?"
Hawkeye started shaking. "OH MY GOD!!!"
Sidney's face turned pale as Hawkeye broke out sobbing.
"IT WASN'T A CHICKEN!!" He clutched his head in his hands as he continued to cry. "IT WAS A BABY!! SHE KILLED HER OWN BABY!!"
Sidney didn't quite know what to say, he was some-what overwhelmed with what Hawkeye was saying.
"I DIDN'T MEAN FOR HER TO KILL IT! ...I JUST WANTED IT TO BE QUIET!"
Sidney watched him spill out his feelings in dread. "Take it easy, Hawk."
Hawkeye looked up and glared at Sidney with a distraught face and emotionless eyes. His voice was quiet and barely audible, "How dare you make me remember that, you son of a bitch..."
Sidney recollected himself and sat up straighter in his chair. He stared back at Hawkeye and spoke. "You needed to get that off your chest... now you're halfway home."
