Hey everyone! I know that this chapter is extremely short but I don't want to write too much at the moment. I am currently in the process of rewriting this whole story as I started this story a very long time ago and my writing has improved lots since then. There are so many plot holes and such that I need to fix. XD Thank you all for your patience and once again I appreciate all of your support! I was hoping to have this up a couple months ago but I have been preparing for college in the Fall and so I haven't had much time. But anyways...on with the story! Again, I know it is super short but trust me, this story will be better in the long run. ;)

Please be sure to R&R! I love hearing what you guys have to say. Have a fantabulous day and please enjoy!

Chapter 11

Jack stared back nervously into the Femme's furious gaze, pressing Darkfire further behind him protectively.

"A-Arcee, you don't understand-" His partner growled, interrupting him.

"Understand what? That you are helping a Decepticon? The spawn of the worst being to ever come into being?" She snarled, venom seeping into her voice. "I thought we were partners!" The boy stared at her in shock before a look of anger came over his own face.

"Well apparently we aren't if you can't even listen to me!" The two-wheeler jerked back in surprise at his sudden change. Jack glared at her, his fists clenching tightly at his sides. "Yeah, I'm helping her escape. You know why?" He jabbed an accusing finger forward towards the Autobot. "You are judging a person, not a spawn, not a monster, but a person based on her heritage. She doesn't even understand what the frag is going on in this war! How is it fair for her to suddenly be judged for something she has never been a part of? Remember how when I first met you, I got dragged into your war, even though I had never and didn't even want to be a part of it? Why is it suddenly okay for that to happen to Darkfire? Hmm? Answer me!" Arcee and Darkfire gave him stunned looks as he took in a deep breath and shook his head. "You know what, forget it. I am taking her, and you are not going stop me. I guess this is it, goodbye Arcee." The boy spat. He grabbed the girl by her arm and pulled her past the paralyzed Cybertronian, turning the corner. The two teenagers were silent as Jack quickly tugged her into a corner, removing a large circular grate from the wall and motioned for her to get in. "Come on. We need to hurry before Arcee comes back with the others." Darkfire nodded and climbed in, the boy getting in behind her and shutting the grate.

"Thank you." Jack looked up and saw the girl's red eyes peering at him with a grateful expression in the darkness. He scoffed, shaking his head.

"For what?" The Warlord's daughter turned away and looked down at the ground as they began making their way down the long tunnel.

"For helping me. A-and protecting me. That was the first time anyone has ever done that for me, besides my dad's friends of course when all of this began happening." The teenage boy frowned slightly at her soft voice.

"Yeah, no problem." He muttered, casting his eyes away. Regret gnawed at him. Did he really just throw away all of his friendships that easy for the daughter of an alien Warlord, bent on destroying the human race? The two walked in a somber silence, leaving them to their own thoughts as they continued down the long, dark tunnel. The alarms from the base growing ever quieter as they moved on.

Megatron grunted as he glanced up at the human's clock, anxiousness trickling into his mind. It had already been close to six groons. Was he really trusting a human to rescue his daughter? He shook his helm and cast a glance over at the unconscious femme. The Mech stiffened and tightened his grip on the knife as footsteps and voices sounded from outside. Time seemed to slow down as he watched the door, the ticking of the clock pounding like a hammer against his audials. The last thing he needed was for someone to discover that he was here, cause that was sure to get back to Optimus in one way or another. His optics narrowed as the door flew open and two figures came dashing into the primitive dwelling.

"Hurry!" The tension left the Warlord's frame at the familiar voice, knowing immediately that it was the boy. The teenage boy grunted as he slammed the door shut, his body shuddering as he fought for breath. The human turned around, meeting his gaze with his stormy, grey optics.

"Megatron." At the teen's greeting the other figure whipped around and ran towards him.

"Dad!" A vent of relief left the Decepticon as the girl wrapped her arms around his waist. Megatron smiled and looked back at Jack, giving a short nod. The human was quick to return it as he walked further into the house, looking on cautiously as he maneuvered over to his carrier. Looking back down at his daughter, the warlord's smile dropped as he grabbed her firmly by the shoulder, quickly grabbing her attention.

"Did Prime do anything to you?" Darkfire winced at his fierce tone and shrugged.

"Not really. He just wanted me to help him end the war. His friends were class A jerks though." A snort drew the two's attention as Jack gazed back at them with his arms crossed.

"You've got that right." Megatron raised an optic ridge at his words, surprise rippling through his systems. This boy had been a thorn in his side for so long because of his stubborn loyalty to the Autobots, what suddenly changed? As if reading the Warlord's thoughts, the teen shook his head. "Just keep me out of your war now, that's all I ask. I never wanted to be part of this in the first place." Jack looked back over at his mother, his shoulders sagging ever so slightly. "You may want to leave, there's no telling when the Autobots will show up here." Megatron grunted in acknowledgement, stepping over to the human. The boy tensed and watched him with a guarded expression.

"I can almost see why Prime respects you so much." Jack's eyes widened in shock as the Mech lowered his tone. "As you have kept your promise and returned my daughter, I will grant your wish. As long as you stay out of my way, no harm shall come to you or your mother from me or my troops." The human shook out of his stupor and nodded, his body relaxing immediately.

"T-thank you, sir." Megatron smirked before turning back around and moving back to Darkfire. She smiled at Jack as the Warlord placed his servo on her shoulder once more.

"Come Darkfire, it is time to go."
