Guys I've been writing and here is another chapter!
Once Abbey and Dextrox had made it back to the ship, Dextrox immediately made his way to the stairs and disappeared into the lower floor, grabbing a few planks of wood he had gotten from Rythin. Abbey looked around the deck, villagers scampering about trying to get the ship ready to leave. She looked at each person in particular, not finding the very person she was supposed to keep an eye on.
Abbey stopped a nearby villager and asked, "where is Jack?"
The villager brushed some sweat off of his forehead and said "he left after you did to find Dextrox."
"That's garbage!" Abbey exclaimed in anger. "I told him to stay here!"
"Honestly Captai-"
"Don't call me Captain here," Abbey interuppted. "This is Cale's ship, not the Archer battalion."
"Anyway," the villager started, "Honestly Abbey, I'm surprised you trusted him to stay here."
Abbey had turned away but stopped in surprise. "What makes you not trust Jack?"
"He's just kinda weird y'know?"
"I do know," Abbey replied. "But I have reasons to not trust him, you need to not spread rumors and distrust."
"Woah Ab-"
"Get back to your work Grant." Abbey said sternly.
Grant ran away from Abbey, disappearing into the lower floors with a pile of wood stacked in his hands.
"Hey all!" A voice said coming from the side of the boat. "I see Abbey is back, where's Dex?"
Abbey turned to see Jack climb over the side of the boat.
"He went to drop his supplies with Darrell," Abbey answered. "Now where have you been?"
"I left to find Dextrox," Jack replied, "just like you did."
Abbey ignored Jack and walked towards the stairs and ran down them until she came up to a hallway. She turned and found a room labeled "Healer," and under that "Haley." Abbey slowly entered, remembering the Healer as she went into her room.
Dextrox had mentioned to her earlier that it was their jobs to clean out or clean up the rooms of the missing or deceased, which made it her task to clean up Haley's room until she returned. Abbey expected much to clean up but was surprised to see that Haley kept only a few things. She turned to open the closet and found many other dresses, most of them the plain white or gold that Healers wore.
Abbey turned to make the bed when Dextrox entered the room.
"As you know I just met with Darrell, he says that we should reach Jack's Village in two days."
"I don't know whether thats good or bad," Abbey said with forewarning, "some things don't completely make sense."
"I understand your suspicion, I don't think Jack's Village actually needs help, which is what we were sent to do."
"Dirk had mentioned something about the Exile, and a ransom for me," Abbey questioned, "how would a thug halfway across the ocean recognize an Archer?"
"I've been worried about that too, The Exile seems to know you."
"Or he knows you."
Dextrox turned to Abbey quickly in surprise, for she had spoken something he hadn't thought about. "That might be the key, but until we solve this, we have to keep sailing as if our goal is to help Jack."
*-Back at Hulk's ship-*
"Yep, thats it," The lookout said. "That's the Barrier."
"Good," Hulk approved. "We've successfully passed the Barrier."
"So I can tell Cam to blast the engines again?" Anna asked.
"Yes, we want to reach them as soon as possible."
Anna turned and walked towards the captain, giving him his new instructions. Hulk was gazing into the distance when he was interuppted by a Healer.
"Chief?" The Healer said.
"Uh, yes?" Hulk said, forgetting the Healer's name.
"There's something you must see in the brig."
"Alright..." Hulk answered suspicious of the Healer. He turned and walked towards and down the stairs, noticing how suspicious this Healer actually was. She had blue hair and no wings, something you usually dont see when it comes to Healers.
Hulk made it to the brig and opened the door. What he found made him laugh.
"HAHAHA!" Hulk laughed. "It's that black-winged Healer!"
"I locked him in here when I found him." The Healer said.
The black-winged Healer, Chris, was either sleeping or unconcious, which made his suspicions raise for the Blue-haired Healer.
Chris' eye's opened slowly as he woke up, instantly spotting Hulk.
"I didn't do it!" Chris immediately said. "I don't even know why I'm here!"
"Explain Chris," Hulk ordered.
"I was stowing away, but I was hanging from the rudder!"
"How'd you get from the rudder to the brig?" Hulk asked, confused about the whole situation.
Chris looked worried as he tried to think of what happened. "It was her!"
Hulk turned to the blue-haired Healer, feeling as if his suspicions were confirmed.
"You must be insane Chris."
"He is insane," Hulk confirmed. "But I've never seen a blue-haired Healer before."
The woman turned towards Hulk and walked backwards down the hall, backing away from the danger that could ensue.
"Stop now," Hulk ordered.
"You foolish Chief," the woman said, not stopping. "You think you control me."
"Why did you move Chris to the brig?"
At hearing his name, Chris realized he could do something to help Hulk and burst out of the room, pushing Hulk aside.
"You have nothing that can stop this!" Chris exclaimed as he put his hands forward and shot something from them.
A beam of red light grabbed onto the woman and she started to lose her balance.
"ENOUGH!" She yelled, blasting the red light away from her. "You have nothing that can hurt me!"
Hulk rushed forward and swiped with his sword as soon as he grabbed it from his sheath. The woman moved her hand a tiny bit and blasted Hulk across the hall.
"This is pointless," She said to the two attackers. The woman turned towards the wall and swiped her hand across air as a portal appeared. The woman waved goodbye to Hulk and Chris as she stepped through the portal and was gone.
Hulk stood up and went over to Chris, impressed at his power. "You wouldn't mind spending this trip outside of the brig?"
"Are you offering me a position?"
"That's exactly what I'm doing," Hulk confirmed. "Besides, they made this ship with too many extra rooms."
"I'll accept!" Chris said with happiness as he grabbed Hulk's hand and shook it.
This chapter is actually one of the shortest but it is as long as it needs to be. I spent a while working on this and the last chapter and found that the last chapter has two views and no reviews. Cmon guys! I know there are more than two people on the Follow/Favorite list!
