Holy shiitake mushrooms, it has been a long while hasn't it. I feel so horrible for being gone for so long and I know a lot of the readers who had started this story have already left, and I really can't blame you guys. I have no excuse for my absence, I just couldn't find the inspiration nor motivation to continue this story. Even now as I write, I feel... I don't even know how to describe it.
But thanks to you guys who messaged me, badgered me and continually asked me to continue this story, I've resolved to see this out to the very end. I hope you guys like this chapter and the others that are to come. I hopefully want to start a once a week update schedule until this is done so we'll see how it goes.
I'd recommend you read the last few chapters (or the entire book) to get back into the swing of things before you read this (that's what I did btw)
A more important AN will be at the bottom so stick around for that. Without further adieu, onto the story.

As the group trickled back into the room, Sasuke was one of the first to notice that the seating arrangements had returned back to the original setting. Behind him were Naruto, Shikamaru and Hinata. Lifting a suspicious brow, he peered over at his pink-haired teammate who had already taken a seat and she gave a weak wave in return.
"T-Take a seat Sasuke-kun... you too, Naruto," she invited. Her confidence faltered when the boys in question simply stood and stared at her offer. It was slightly unnerving how similar the two could be.
Naruto was the one to move first, with Sasuke quickly behind.
Team 7 were seated beside each other with Team 8 to their immediate right (Hinata ensuring she still sat immediately next to her future husband – and didn't that send a tingle done her spine) and the tension was almost palpable.
Before anyone could say anything, Choji made his way to the sealing array, quickly channeling his chakra to the seal before his confidence waned. As the room lit a brilliant blue, Choji took two steps back and prepared himself to see his future.
Stopping to eye the small black crow that circled overhead, Chouji Akimichi sighed heavily. The sky was a barren sea of blue – nary a single white cloud in sight – and the piercing sun made him feel as though he was a slab of meat on a spit roast, slowing being roasted to near perfection. He had changed a lot since his youth, allowing his hair to grow down to his shoulders and a neatly trimmed goatee adorned his face. He was a lot slimmer as well, with a lot of childhood weight turning to muscle. Despite that though, he was still a big man, a green jacket thrown over a grey shirt with the kanji for 'food' proudly displayed.
A proud smile on his face, Choza Akimichi clapped loudly at his son's image. "You'll grow into a strong young man, Choji. I'm proud to call you my son,"
"Indeed you did, Choji" Kurenai agreed and at her side, Asuma sent his student a quick thumps up.
Embarrassed, Choji ducked his head low, mindfully ignoring the stifled snickers of Naruto and Shikamaru.
Sweat dribbled down from his brow and he would have wiped it off had his hands had not been occupied. Continuing his trod home, the head of the Akimichi clan shouldered his heavy baggage he carried with another sigh.
"Man, I know Karui-chan wants everything to be perfect, but is this really necessary?" he grumbled to himself softly, mindful of the fact to keep his voice low. It would not be pretty for him if his wife was to hear him complaining about something she had asked him to do for her.
If he had been embarrassed before, he was simply mortified now. Blushing a deep red, Choji refused to meet anyone in the eye. On the other hand, he could not deny the swell of happiness in his chest as he thought of dream woman – someone who would admire him for his appetite.
He loved her to death - there was no doubt - but he had married a spit-fire with a temper to match.
Allowing the entirety of Konoha to pass without a word and a low hum on his lips, he soon spotted his clan compound in sight and at its gate stood his lawfully wedded wife.
"Huh? I've never seen her around Konoha before," Ino remarked.
"I'd be surprised if you did, darling," her father answered. "More than likely she's from the Hidden Cloud Village,"
"She's beautiful though, and looks like a great daughter-in-law" Choza remarked.
"Regardless of where she is from, if she's anything like your wife then she'll be a good guiding hand for your son," Shikaku commented, a pleased smile on his face.
"Exactly,"
...
Kissing her slightly on the cheek as he approached, he asked. "What are you doing here Karui-chan? Shouldn't you be inside with Chou-chou?"
"I was," she admitted. "But I got a message that Omoi and Samui were here already. One of the clanswomen is looking after her now. I thought it would be nice if we both went over there and greeted them" she explained.
"And that should confirm it," Hiruzen spoke. "The names Omoi and Samui are ones you would come to expect from those hailing from the Cloud Village,"
Choji nodded at the Hokage's words, but could not stop the slither of pessimism in his thoughts. 'Did I have to go so far to find a wife because no female in the village wanted me?'
Having an idea where his best friend's thoughts were going having had been around him for so long, Shikamaru nudged him softly with a look that said 'Don't even think like that'.
Smiling, Choji shook off his melancholy.
Even though she tried to hide it, Chouji could pick up the little indicators that his wife was buzzing on the inside to head out. She was bouncing lightly on her feet and wringing her hands every other minute as she spoke.
He knew that despite the fact that his wife had fallen in love with Konoha since moving here (even more so when the pair had gotten married) and had made her fair share of friends that had helped her settle in well in the new environment, but there was always a special place in her heart for her home village. And Samui and Omoi were undoubtedly on the top of the list for those she held dear. They were her precious people, after all.
Rubbing his cheek, Chouji replied. "You can go on ahead, I'll go put these bags down and I'll meet you there with Chocho,"
"Are you sure?"
"Go on and go greet your friends. I'll be there soon enough," he assured and with a chaste kiss, she set off.
Áww, isn't that just sweet" Ino cooed.
Choji watched her leave for a few moments before continuing his trod inside the compound. The Akimichi head greeted the passing clan members before making his way to the largest house within the compound. Peals of childish laughter greeted him as he entered and he couldn't resist the easy smile that spread across his face as he made his way through the house.
"Papa!" a high-pitched voice squealed and shinobi instincts flared to life as he caught the chubby missile that launched itself at him. With a complexion similar to her mother's and bright amber eyes, the heiress to the Akimichi clan was a young live-wire, and Choji wouldn't want her any other way.
"So that's my grand-daughter?" Choza inquired peering closely at the giggling toddler. Beaming, the large man grinned happily. "I can't wait to meet her. I'm going to spoil her silly!"
"Did you have fun while Papa was away, Chocho?" questioned Choji, as he hefted her into his arms while peeking inside the room his daughter had sprung from, a small frown on his face.
"Yes Papa. Me and Mama went to see Chobee-jiji!" the toddler explained.
Choji laughed. "Well that sounds like fun. Say Chocho, where is the person that should be looking after you?" the concerned father questioned, peeking into another room with narrowed eyes.
"You're a good dad, Choji," Kurenai commented, causing yet a blushing storm.
"I-I guess so," he replied, unable to look in the direction of the attractive genjutsu mistress.
As if summoned, hurried footsteps approached and a frantic female Akimichi burst into the room, bewildered. "Where are yo- Ah! Choji-sama!" the girl exclaimed, dropping into a deep bow. "Forgive me Choji-sama! I had taken my eyes off Chocho-sama for only a few seconds, I didn't know where she had run off to. I'm sorry Choji-sama!" the girl explained, a timbre of fear filtering into the tone of her voice.
"Whoa, it's as if she afraid of Choji or something!" Naruto exclaimed from his seat.
"It would make sense seeing as how Choji is now the head of the Akimichi clan. He would carry a lot of power and his words would have weight," Sasuke explained.
"Ah,"
Laughing heartily, Choji motioned for the girl to stand tall.
"It's no problem, Akari-san. I know how she is," he explained, bouncing the revealed rascal in his arms eliciting a squeal of laughter. "If I told you stories about the amount of times we've had to be chasing after her, we'd be here for days," he joked.
"Troublesome,"
No points for guessing who said that one.
"H-Hai, Choji-sama," the young girl replied, still shaking.
Patting her on the shoulder, he turned towards the door. "Don't worry too much about it, it's fine. I'll take her off your hands now since I have to go meet with Karui-chan. Come on," he ushered her towards the exit as well. Turning towards his daughter, he spoke, "Do you want to go meet Omi and Samui as well, Chocho?"
"Hai, Papa!"
"Wow, that was so cute," Sakura remarked.
With a shy smile, Choji relaxed in his seat, any fear or anticipation dying away with the receding seals on the wall.

So recently I've made a return to Wattpad, and I wasn't entirely pleased with what I saw. Apparently, there is a book out there that is very similar to mine (in the sense that it literally has the same exact premise, scenes and sometimes dialogue) I know I have been gone for a long while, but I really feel uncomfortable and cheapened when this happened. I've heard other writers complained about it but this is honestly the first time it has happened to me.
I have no issues if you feel inspired by my work and want to write something similar to it, if anything I feel honoured. This book itself was inspired by "Into the Future" by ichilover3. But while so, my story is very different from theirs and never had I copied, rewritten or plagiarized from them.
I'm a very approachable person I'd like to think so if you do want to write a story similar to my own, then message me like darkyukionna and hero107 did. Kudos to those guys for contacting me first and asking permission and giving me a heads up. Btw darkyukionna has published the first chapter of the story (Visions of the Future on Wattpad) so far and it's really nice so if you have the time, give it a read.
Anyways, if you are guilty of this, can you please either
A)Message me
B) At least give me the credit for the idea or scenes which are mine
C) Take down your story
Thank you
