As they all arrived at North's workshop, Tooth met Jack and Rapunzel halfway there. She was didn't like Rapunzel; she had a crush on Jack and felt that Rapunzel was taking him away from her. Tooth flirted with Jack the whole way there, but he wasn't really paying attention. He was more focused on talking with Rapunzel. Meanwhile up front, Merida tightened her grip on Hiccup. "I need to talk to you when we land, Hiccup." She whispered. "Alright." He whispered back, wondering what she could possibly want to talk about. They landed shortly in front of North's workshop. Bunnymund and Sandy were already waiting for them. Hiccup landed Toothless and helped Merida down, who grabbed his hand and yanked him off somewhere to talk. Jack set Rapunzel down, but when he saw Bunnymund, he didn't let go of her or his staff. Rapunzel ripped away from his arm though, when she saw Sandy. She thought it was cool that he didn't talk. Jack walked over and whispered in her ear. "Uh, no one really understands him, Rapunzel." She shivered slightly when she felt his icy breath, but she looked into his eyes, bewildered. "I can understand him just fine. He said 'Welcome, new guardians!'" Sandy took her hand and led her off to talk some more. Jack shrugged. At the same time, Merida was getting her courage up to tell Hiccup something important. "I don't usually go for this kind of thing, but... I..." She paused, scared. "What?" Hiccup asked, confused. Before Merida could say anything, Hiccup felt something snap. He leaned in and kissed her. Not like the spur of the moment thing Merida did when Rapunzel healed him. No, this was different. He pulled away. "I knew we liked each other, but, Hiccup, I love you." Merida whispered. Hiccup pulled her close. "I love you too."

"Where's Hiccup and Merida, mate?" Bunnymund asked Jack. "We're here! We just had to talk about some things." Merida called, answering his question before Jack did. She was pulling Hiccup along behind her. "Look!" Jack pointed. Manny was shining his light on someone. "Rapunzel!" Merida gasped. Rapunzel slowly began to lose consciousness. When she was unconscious, She rose up, floating with nothing under her. A bright light began to show through her body inside out, making everyone squint and shield their eyes. Soon she was completely hidden, and there was nothing but a ball of light. The light floated down to the ground, and slowly began to fade, showing Rapunzel. Nothing had changed, but her hair was in a beautiful, thick braid, decorated with different colored flowers. She pushed herself up, yawning and stretching. She looked around. "I feel... different, somehow." She said, standing up. Next the light shone on Hiccup, and the same thing happened. When he woke up, his foot was gone, replaced by a metal contraption. "Oh, come on! What is this?" He threw his hands up in the air, annoyed. Last, but not least, Merida. When she woke up, Her dress had changed from green to a light bluish color, with gold trim. She gasped for breath. "It's too tight!" She gasped. "It'll stretch out." Tooth explained. "What is your center?" North asked the three. "Creativity." Rapunzel answered. "Change." Hiccup. "Courage." Merida. "Good, good!" North clapped his giant hands together. "Tomorrow we find out your powers!"
