(Normal POV)
Amu gasped and struggled against Blake as he held her down on the wet grass. She wanted to scream, but the tape stopped her. She wanted to kick, but the alcohol made her weak. Finally, she built up enough strength to reach her leg up and kick Blake in the abdomen with such power he doubled over. Amu weakly stood to her feet and ran in the direction of the road. She heard Blake curse behind her, but the sound of his loud footsteps grew closer as she felt weaker. As she ran, she tripped on her own feet and face planted on the grass. Amu heard chuckling behind her and shivered.
"You always were pathetic." Blake whispered in her ear before she blacked out.
"Are we almost there?!" Rima asked as she peered out the window, her tiny hands on the cold glass. Ikuto looked down at the navigation system, which stated they were almost there.
"Yeah." He said, but he was more focused on the thoughts in his head. What if Amu was hurt? What if we're too late? Soon, the navigation stated that their destination has been reached.
"But there's nothing here!" Rima screamed at the tiny screen on the dashboard. But Ikuto knew otherwise.
"Calm down, midget. Grab the sweater and blanket we brought for Amu. If Utau dressed her, she's not going to be warm." Ikuto stated before her slammed the car door and ran into the woods. Rima did as she was told and quickly slammed the car door on her side and ran after him. Ikuto looked this way and that, but didn't see a sign of pink hair.
"Amu!" Rima called. No answer. She tried again, but to no avail.
"AMU!" Ikuto yelled. He yelled again and again and again. At last, he heard a tiny, weak voice say:
"Iku...to" Ikuto immediately slid down to the pinkette, who was on the floor, bare naked and half conscious. She had a deep gash on her left cheek and and long gash on her right leg. She had nail marks on her abdomen and blood between her legs. Ikuto didn't know what to feel or how to react, but soon he knew what he was feeling. Pure rage. All he saw was red as he punched the wooden trunk of the tree closest to him as Rima carefully helped Amu sit up and put the long sweater on her thin figure. Ikuto drew his attention away from the tree and to Amu, who he wrapped the blanket around and picked up bridal style. She leaned against his chest and fell asleep slowly, tired from both the alcohol and what Blake had done to her.
"Let's get her to the hospital." Rima said sadly as she led the way back to Marci's car and helped Ikuto get Amu into the back seat. When Ikuto and Rima both got into the car, Ikuto slammed his hands on the steering wheel in frustration, making the car horn go off, making Rima jump.
"Ikuto it's not your fault so stop wallowing in self-pity and drive us to the hospital!" Rima screamed at him. Ikuto turned to the short blonde, anger in his eyes.
"It is my fault! If I didn't say what I did and apologized sooner, none of this would've happened!" Ikuto screamed back as he jammed the key in the ignition and sped to the hospital. Rima was silent then, not wanting to argue. When they reached the E.R drive in, Ikuto stopped the car by the sidewalk and quickly opened his door and carried Amu out of the back seat. Rima soon followed, making sure the blanket was secure on Amu. Ikuto ran through the sliding doors of the E.R. and all eyes were on him. The doctors and nurses were aware of state, but Ikuto himself was not. Ikuto had tears streaming down his face and bloody knuckles from punching the tree.
"I've got a rape victim here!" Rima shouted for him. Nurses immediately swarmed Amu and put her onto a stretcher. But Ikuto didn't let go of her hand.
"Sir you have to let go so we can help her." A doctor said impatiently. Ikuto remained.
"Ikuto let go so they can help her!" Rima yelled. Ikuto reluctantly let go and let Rima pull him to the waiting room, which was empty. Rima pulled out her cell phone and called Nagihiko.
"Nagi. Yeah I know I'm with Ikuto. We're at the hospital. Yes, I'm fine. But I can't say the same for Amu. Just get everyone over here. I don't care if Yaya's going to whine and have a fit about waking her up, just get here!" And Rima hung up and threw her phone into her bag. Ikuto looked up to see the clock, which read 1:26 A.M. The late night news blasted on the small tv in the waiting room, and one particular story caught his attention.
"This just in, two criminals set for death penalty have escaped the local Seiko Prison. They are husband and wife and were sent to prison for child abuse, molest, abuse of drugs, and murder." Two pictures of Midori and Tsmugu Hinamori popped up on the screen and Ikuto immediately recognized the last name.
"Ikuto.."
"I know. They're looking for Amu." Ikuto said. Rima buried her face in her hands and cried softly.
"Hasn't she been through enough!?" Rima cried into her palms. As the words escaped her lips, Nagihiko ran in. Close behind him was Kukai dragging Utau by the arm, Kairi carrying Yaya, who was asleep, and Tadase, who was running. A look of worry was spread across his face, which wasn't normal for the normally emotionless boy. Marci came soon after, huffing as she ran as fast as she could with an angry face.
"WILL SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED?!" Marci screamed so loud that Yaya woke up. Kairi set the tired girl on his lap as he sat down. Everyone eyed Ikuto and Rima for an explanation.
"She was raped. By a kid from school when she went to a party. On top of that her parents broke out of jail and are looking for her." Rima explained through tears. Nagihiko helped her into his lap and smoothed her hair. Marci softened and sat down, a worried look on her face.
"Um excuse me." A female voice sounded. Everyone turned to a petite nurse with red hair and blue eyes.
"She can have a few visitors." At this, Ikuto, Kukai, Rima, and Nagihiko were pushed up. Kairi urged them to go and shifted Yaya in his lap. And so they went, uncomfortably walking through the brightly lit hallways. They finally reached a room and the small nurse, who was only a bit taller than Rima, opened the door. Inside, Amu was asleep on the small bed, hooked up to many machines. Ikuto rushed to her side and looked at her face. The gash on her left cheek was stitched up but she looked more pale than usual. Ikuto took Amu's small hand and held it in his as he brought up a chair to the edge of her bed. Kukai sighed and put a hand on Ikuto's shoulder, recognizing his distress. Rima just cried softly into Nagihiko's chest as they both looked at their newest friend, broken.
"There's some good news to this kids. She isn't going to be pregnant and her physical state is fine. The bad news is, her mental state may not be. Usually after things like this happen, the victim is left in a state of fear and depression. She may never recover mentally.." The nurse trailed. Rima bit her lip and looked at the pinkette, wondering if she would be ok. All of a sudden, Amu shot up and screamed and flailing, the heart rate monitor sped up as she screamed. Ikuto's heart broke seeing this, imagining how much emotional pain that she was going through.
"Shhhh Amu it's all ok. I'm here." Ikuto said softly. Amu's screaming turned into sobs as she clung to Ikuto desperately. He smoothed her hair and pulled himself into her hospital bed and set her in his lap, kissing the top of her head as the tainted pinkette cried softly into his chest.
