Chapter 8: The town that vanishes.

Valintina's pov

We came to a small train platform in the middle of nowhere, and for the fist EVER I didn't want to get off. Probably because one, IT'S IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, THERE ISN'T EVEN A PAYPHONE! Two, I haven't been on a train since... That incident; but it has to fine, right. I mean Ed and Al take the train basically everywhere, so it has to be fine... Right?

Edward Elric's pov

Nope! Everything is not fine! Where is there a village?! Where are the people?! Where the fuck are the plants?! IT JUST A GIANT DESERT!

Valintina's pov

The three hesitantly exited the train on the platform and watched the train leave starting to regret their decision. After a few minutes of deciding which way to go the started heading the opposite way then the train was heading to head towards a small a town that they recalled passing. After a few time of Al sinking from the sand and ED 'dying' we came to a small town. I looked at my pocket watch out of habit, but of course it broken. I looked at the sky since I don't want to break the silence, it's nice, but anyways I say it's about fourish. I guess I'm in good shape, walking for six and a half hours and still alive and kickin! Hehe that's a lie.

"Finally," Ed exclaimed, said as he started taking a step in the village "we're here! Let's just get a hotel and- WHAT THE HELL!"

It's gone.

OH MY GOD.

WHAT THE HELL?!

Right before Edward stepped on the property of the town, it just disappeared as if it were a mirage.

"Wh-what happened Brother." Alphonse ask, obviously less worried then Ed and I.

Ed stayed silent as he started to pace, thinking to himself. After a few minutes of thinking and resting I suggested to head back to the train platform since it was the only place where people may be.

After a few minute of arguing of whether to continue to head south of head back to the train platform, I won the argument of heading back. The only problem is that when we turned back the tracks the where also gone, along with the tail of our footsteps and any other way of telling where we were.

The sun was starting to set so from that we deciding where north was and started heading to where we thought the train platform was. Maybe about one and quarter hours we decided to rest. We had Alphonse sit so he was facing the direction we were heading. I don't know about Edward but once I laid down I feel into a sleep that wasn't too deep but not restless either.

Edward's pov

Valintina fell asleep rather quickly.

I remember watching her preform alchemy from the back of the room where I thought no one would see me. She made the three legged chair into butterfly which she caught on fire. I saw her test score the same day, 100%. I bet she cheated.

I don't even care anymore.

I awoke to some loud to Vally violently shaking me to wake me up. I didn't eve realize I fell asleep.

"FINNILY YOU WOKE UP ITS BACK!" She announced painfully loud.

Valintina's pov

I woke up to a flash of light appearing and disappearing abruptly.

It took a while, but where I got my vision back I saw something in the distance. Since Alphonso is keeping track of our direction I told him I'm going to go see what's in the distance. Once I reached the outskirts of it I realized it was the town that vanished into thin air. As soon as I realized I ran as fast as I could back to our small group and woke up Ed rather desperately wanting to get the three of us ac there before it disappeared. It took a while but I was finally able to wake him up. When he realized the town reappeared again we all ran in the direction.

But when we got there something was different from all the other towns or cities we've been at.

There was blood of what seem like hundreds of people.

I can't even say how sorry I am, oh om gog. AND YES I MEAN GOG! Any who, I hope I get the next chapter up soon so goodbye dear readers!
