"Caroline, its for you." Elizabeth told her, handing her a red rose with a note attached to it. They were all in the dining room, eating breakfast. Caroline had stopped eating with them since two days ago when Klaus had said those awful words to her. She only stands by, waiting for Katerina to ask for something. Kol and Elijah knew that she preferred to eat after them, but not when they were all eating together. They asked why, but she just never answered the question.
"Beautiful rose." Katerina commented. Ever since Caroline decided to back off a bit from everything, Katerina had gotten in such a better mood. She hoped it was because of her and not for other reasons that might involve Klaus. "From who?"
"Tyler, I presume." Kol replied giving all his attention to Caroline. She softly smiled as she grabbed the note and read it.
Caroline,
I am glad that you have agreed for my courting you. I will do everything I have in my power to make you happy.
A rose for the most beautiful girl,
Tyler
She kept smiling like a fool as she smelled the rose. He was such a sweet guy, the whole opposite of Klaus.
"So, what does the note say?" Katerina asked, looking at her.
"Um—that he is glad I have agreed for him to court me." She replied with a small smile. Klaus clenched his fork on his hand so hard that it actually drew some blood. He stood up from the table and left without a single word.
"I wonder what has him all cranky." Katerina said. "He has had the worst of moods these pass two days." Caroline's sight dropped at that.
"I'll go place the rose in some water—excuse me my lords-Katerina." She stated before walking towards the kitchen. Just when she entered she felt two strong hands grab her, pulling her into a dark hallway. She felt her back against a cold wall just as she noticed that her 'attacker' was Klaus. He didn't even give her time to speak when she already felt his lips on hers.
He started to kiss her with hunger and lust. It seemed like he wanted to claim her mouth as his. It took her a minute before pushing him only away from her lips.
"My lord!" She exclaimed with wide eyes. "What is this?!"
"Why are you with that prude doctor?" He asked, looking at her with sad eyes.
"Because I can." She replied. "Now get off me!" She commanded, struggling to get out of his strong grip.
"Don't you feel anything for me?" He asked.
"Why are we having an inquisition?" She questioned. "You don't feel anything for me but just the need to sleep with me and I have moved on. So, please let me go."
"I don't think so." He replied. "You know very well that I was only hurt when I spoke those unforgiving words."
"No, as a matter of fact I did not." She spat. "And not just because you are telling me this right now, I will succumb to your need of pleasure. I am spoken for as of today and this can't happen again." She stated, narrowing her eyes towards him. Klaus shook his head as he slammed his hand, next to Caroline's face, on the wall. Caroline jumped, startled by his behavior.
"Why are you doing this?" He questioned through his clenched teeth. "Why are you making it a mission to hurt me?"
"Lord Niklaus, I am not making it a mission to give you pain, I am just simply starting to look out for myself. We might have had feelings for each other, but that chapter has ended and it is time to start a new one."
"And you think its a good choice to begin it with that town's doctor?!" Klaus interrupted in a growl.
"As a matter of fact, yes." She replied. "He has no other women in his life, and he truly cares for-"
"I care for you!" He once again interrupted her. Caroline took in a breath before shaking her head.
"Then we both have different definitions of caring." She answered. "Now, if you can excuse me-" She pushed him away and luckily for her, he didn't fight back. "-I have a beautiful rose to place in water." She stared at him for a while longer before she turned to leave the dark hallway. Just when she as about to leave she felt him grab her arm, pulling her back towards him.
"Even if you don't believe it—I very much care for you." He whispered staring deep into her eyes. "And that is why I will leave you to have your happiness." He added. He knew that Caroline wouldn't be happy living a life with a vampire, she wanted a different life, a life that Tyler would be able to provide her with.
He caressed her cheeks as he stared into her eyes. He just hoped she didn't have vervain in her system anymore. He doubted it since she was the only one that kept getting her own drinks and food. "You will forget everything that happened between us. You will only see me as the Lord and that is all, no feelings towards me. You will live a happy life without me." He compelled before flashing away.
Caroline didn't know what to say, she was in total shock. He was a vampire just like Kol, and now he compelled her to forget him. He was giving up on her, but in a way giving her happiness. She wanted to smile, cry and kiss him for that but she knew she had to play like if she was compelled. At least that way he would not have another problem of her knowing that he, as well was a vampire. Which brought her another question. Was Elijah a vampire as well? She wouldn't doubt it, but she would keep her assumptions to herself.
She inhaled a deep breath before turning towards the exit and going back to what she was going to do.
"Bonnie?" Caroline asked as she spotted her best friend enter the mansion. She looked nervous.
"Hey." She only replied.
"Not that I am complaining but why are you here? I didn't know you were coming for a visit today, usually you would let me know." Caroline explained.
"She is here for some business." Elijah stated, approaching them.
"Business?" Caroline questioned.
"Yes, I came here for business." Bonnie replied, nodding her head awkwardly. Caroline felt like something was off, but she decided to disregard it.
"Alright then." She replied. "Would you fancy appetizers and soft drinks?" She then asked. Elijah made a thinking face before shaking his head.
"No but thank you." He responded. Kol then approached them.
"Well, hello there." He greeted while eying Bonnie. Caroline made a confused look as she analyzed his approach.
"Leave it." Bonnie hissed while smiling. His smirked widened.
"Brother-" He acknowledge. "Care."
"Hello Kol." "Hi" Elijah and Caroline greeted simultaneously. Elijah gave Kol a good stare giving him a signal right before he walked closer to Caroline.
"Care, may I have a word with you?" He asked. Caroline hesitated, thinking that something must be wrong but said yes nevertheless. They walked towards the dining room. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"It is nothing bad, I assure you, I am just having company over today." He replied. Caroline let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in.
"I'm relieved." She stated with a soft smile.
"But I need you to stay in your room when the sun has set. Since it is in fact my company, they aren't human but supernatural as well as I. The last thing I want is for you to get hurt so I am sending you to your room and do not come out under any circumstances. Do you understand?" He asked. Caroline stared at him as she blinked various times.
"Oh." She breathed out. "Yes I understand."
"I just want you to be safe. I can't guarantee that my company will respect you as I do. I do not trust them." He stated. Caroline licked her lips as she nodded.
"It's alright Kol." She replied. "I understand."
"I'm just telling you this for your own good. I want you to be safe." He added as he gave her a caring hug. Caroline smiled as she hugged him.
"Well, what a lovely sight we have here." Klaus stated as he presented himself. Caroline tensed as she heard him; she had to pretend to do all the things he had compelled her to do. She made her best smile as she turned around to see him.
"Good afternoon, my lord." She greeted while curtsying. "Am I in any need of your service?" She inquired, quickly scolding herself for asking that. He could take it in double meaning.
Klaus wanted to smirk at her suggestion, he wanted to grab her and take her to his room to ravish her but sadly he couldn't. He shook his head. "Not at all. You keep tending my brother to his needs." He instead implied. Caroline's eyes widened in horror at what he was implying. How could he?
"Pardon?! But-"
"Nik, you know very well that Care is a good friend of mine and nothing more." Kol interrupted her. Klaus scoffed.
"Right, like if I'm going to believe that. She's a maid for god's sake, if she has any chance at being with a lord I don't doubt that she would go ahead and do it." He accused even though he knew it was a complete lie. He knew he was being hard on her but that was the only way he could stand being close to her, not to mention, stand seeing her so close to his womanizing brother.
"Excuse me, my lord, but I will not allow you to speak to me in that manor!" She exclaimed taking a step towards him. Klaus crossed his arms against his chest as he smirked, completely amused by her sudden outburst. "Believe what you want but I do not sleep around like other maids tend to. I haven't slept with anyone in my whole life, not that you needed to know! And I would certainly not make a mistake in sleeping with a lord. I do love Kol but not in that disgusting way you have oh so poetically thought so yourself. I am spoken for; you should be ashamed of yourself!" She scolded. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I believe Tyler is here for his afternoon visit." She quickly added before walking away all riled up. Klaus stood there in total shock.
"Wow!" Kol commented. "I have never seen someone call you out on your flaws, yell at you and walk away with their heart still in its place!"
"Shut it!" Klaus growled before flashing away. He couldn't believe Caroline had the courage to yell at him. How was she so sure that he wouldn't kill her for that little stunt she pulled? Oh that's right because she had no idea that he's the most feared vampire alive.
But still, how could she not be afraid that he would throw her out of the mansion for speaking to him in that way? She might think that Kol would keep her safe and maybe she would even be glad that he would have thrown her out because of Katerina, but still how was she so confident as to yell at him?
He walked out, into the living room where he noticed Caroline and Tyler sitting very close to each other. He watched them closely, Caroline was smiling, she looked happy, just like he had compelled her to be. Tyler was beaming with joy, his smile was radiant as he held Caroline's hands in his.
He shook his head taking steps back into the hall. Just when he was about to leave he caught them in the act. Tyler leaned in, capturing Caroline's lips with his. His hands instinctively balled up into fists as he let out a low growl. He watched as she kissed him back, placing her small delicate hands around Tyler's neck. His jaw clenched; he hated this. He wanted her back, he wanted her to kiss him like that, he wanted to be the cause of her happiness. He wanted her, but it was too late and there was nothing he could do now. She was being courted by that doctor and soon enough she would become his wife. Just with the thought of him having the privilege to have her all to himself infuriated him.
"And you have chosen power over love." Elijah commented, interrupting his thoughts. He turned around to notice that it wasn't only Elijah but Kol and Bonnie were there as well.
"I never cared." He hissed.
"That doesn't sound like the Lord Klaus that Caroline told me about." Bonnie added.
"Now you get to see her live a happy life with someone that isn't you." Kol stated while shaking his head. Klaus glared at Kol before letting out a breath.
"I believe my love life is not what we called this meeting for." He replied instead. "Now, let's proceed the needed conversation in my study." He added as he turned around and started to walk into the living room. He was going to the study, he just wanted to pass through here to get to there.
"Well, well, well." He commented, placing his hands behind him. Kol rolled his eyes at his brother's behavior, but they all followed him nevertheless. "Look what we have here."
"My lord!" Caroline gasped pulling away from Tyler.
"Good afternoon my lords." Tyler greeted with a soft smile.
"Afternoon." Klaus just replied with a nod.
"Excuse us, we are just walking through to go to the study." Elijah explained. Caroline nodded.
"It's alright my lord. We were just leaving to walk outside." She stated while standing up and grabbing Tyler's hand in the process. "And I promise I will be inside before the sun has set Kol." She added with a small giggle. She felt like he was her father.
"Thank you." Kol responded.
"Oh, hello Bonnie." Tyler greeted, just barely noticing her.
"Hello Ty." She answered with a smile. "Well, shouldn't we be off as well?" She then asked.
"Yes, lets." Klaus just dryly replied as he began to walk away without another glance at any of them. They all shook their head before following along.
Kol knocked on Caroline's door before entering. "Just wanted to check up on you." He stated.
"Well, I am inside before sun set father." She teased. Kol chuckled.
"I am just assuring your safety, I don't want nothing to happen to you." He replied walking towards her.
"You have slowly become a brother to me, Kol. " She commented, as she hugged him. "I had forgotten what a family really was."
"And from now on, I will always protect you, even when you turn old and wrinkly." He stated while crunching his nose in fake disgust. Caroline giggled as she playful hit his arm.
"Thank you."
"You are welcome." He replied, bringing her in for another hug. "And remember, do not leave this room under any circumstances." He reminded her.
"I know." Caroline answered. Kol kissed her on the top of her head before leaving her room. He looked back to her door before flashing towards the back yard.
He spotted Bonnie, Elijah and Klaus standing there, invested in a conversation. "What did I miss?" Kol asked.
"Nothing, we are just going over the plan once again." Bonnie replied.
"Alright then, I will be the one going for the vampire and were wolf, right?" Kol asked.
"You and Lijah." Klaus corrected. "I will be collecting the doppelganger."
"Just one more question." Bonnie added. "Why am I the one preforming this ritual? Didn't you have another witch in mind?" She asked.
"You are a Bennett witch darling." Kol replied. "A descendant of a powerful witch we knew when we were human. Her name was Ayanna."
"To make this a quick ritual and assure that I will become what I am suppose to be, than it has to be a powerful witch." Klaus added.
"Oh, alright." She replied. "I did not know I was that...powerful."
"You are." Elijah stated. "Now, if there aren't anymore questions, we should get the preparations going. The sun has already set and it is dark." Everyone looked around to notice that it was in fact, dark.
"Bonnie let's go to where the ritual will be preformed. Lijah, Kol—go and get our guest." Klaus ordered. They nodded before flashing away. "Follow me." He instructed as he walked a little deeper into his back yard, stopping a huge space, surrounded by tall trees. "You will be preforming the spell here." He pointed towards a bird bath. "I trust you already know how everything works?"
"Yes." She responded. "And I trust that you keep your word and after this, Caroline will come with me?" Klaus stood there a moment before he nodded.
"Yes."
"Alright then, let's get this over with." She stated, walking towards the bird bath. "I will make three circles with this salt." She stated, taking out a container filled with salt from her bag. "The three supernatural beings will be inside each circle with fire around. This way, neither one of them will be able to mess your plans."
"Alright." Klaus nodded in understanding. Bonnie looked up at the sky.
"Bring the doppelganger, the moon is already rising." She ordered. Klaus quickly flashed away and in that second Kol and Elijah arrived with the vampire and were wolf.
"Where do we place them?" Kol asked. Bonnie ran up to the middle of the vacant space as she began to do circles with the salt. Once she was finished she walked back towards the bird bath.
"Place each one of them in different circles." She ordered. They did as they were told before walking towards her. She moved her hand up and in around those two supernatural beings, fire rose.
"I can see that they won't be able to escape." Kol commented with a small chuckle. Bonnie glared at him since he was looking at this like some kind of joke.
"Now, we only have to wait for Lord Niklaus to bring Katerina to begin." Bonnie stated.
"Then let's begin." Klaus said as he threw Katerina inside the last circle. Just when she was about to run, Bonnie raised her hand, putting the fire in motion. Katerina began to scream like a maniac as she watched the fire rise before her eyes. "What do I have to do?" Klaus asked.
"Give me your hand." Bonnie commanded while stretching her hand out towards him. Klaus smirked as he obliged. She took out a knife from her bag before pulling his sleeve up. She held it on top of the bird bath as she began to cut his wrist. Blood began to trickle from his wrist while she mumbled a few words. The blood began to boil as soon as it touched the bath. "Now you know that in order for this to work, you must kill each one of them?"
"I do."
"Alright, with the were wolf, you must tear out his heart and bring it here, letting all the blood fall in. With the vampire, you must stake it with this special stake." She instructed holding up a stake. "And with the doppelganger, you must drain her from her blood. Once the moon has reached its apex you will start to feel the transformation take its toll on you." She added. "Are you ready?"
"As ready as I've never been before." He stated before walking towards the were wolf. Bonnie slightly moved her hand, letting the ring of fire extinguish around the were wolf. The guy was afraid, he looked at them with pleading eyes before making a try to escape. Unfortunately, Klaus was too fast for him to actually be successful. He grabbed him and threw him to the ground. He then plunged his hand inside his chest, violently pulling his heart out.
Klaus then flashed towards the bath, squishing the heart to let all the blood out. Bonnie's hands hovered on top of the bird bath along with her chanting. The new blood inserted began to boil as well. "Is it working?" He asked.
"It is." Bonnie replied. Elijah and Kol took in several breaths as Klaus continued the ritual. The next ring of fire extinguished as well, where the vampire lay. She shook her head, as she kept crying.
"Please, don't!" She cried. "Help!" She yelled flashing away. Klaus growled as he flashed in front of her. He grabbed her by the neck and dragged her all the way next to the bird bath. He grabbed the stake and without thinking he plunged it through the girl's heart. She gasped as she felt her life being pulled away from her. She began to turn gray, as veins began to appear all along her body.
A gust of wind began to move at the new death. Bonnie gave Klaus a nod for him to proceed.
He slowly walked towards Katerina with a smirk. She was crying uncontrollably; she really did think that the Lord was in love with her. "Why?" She asked. "Why me?!"
"You are the Petrova Doppelganger, the last ingredient for me to turn into a hybrid." He replied. "No hard feelings love. You are a good use for me."
"NO!" She yelled. "Don't kill me please! I will leave Caroline alone if that is what you wish! I will leave, I will give Caroline everything! Just let me go!" She pleaded. The fire began to diminish around her. She watched as her last bit of hope left her.
"It's time." He told her, stretching his hand towards her. "Come on love. This will be quick, I promise it won't hurt."
"Please!" She whispered as tears kept falling from her eyes. Klaus shook his head, forcefully grabbing her hand and then he dragged her towards the bird bath. "Lords help me!" She screamed, struggling to get out of his grip but Klaus was 200 times stronger than her. He grabbed her around the waist, moving her hair away from her neck.
"Shh, love." He cooed. "This will all be over in a minute." He stated before piercing his fangs into her delicate skin. Katerina yelled with all her might, moving everywhere just to get out of his hold. Bonnie closed her eyes, not wanting to look at that horrific thing. Once she heard something slump on the floor, she assumed he was finished. "That was quite tasty." He commented, licking some blood that had escaped his mouth.
Bonnie moved her hands on top of the bird bath, stating one last thing before a strong wind began to pick up. Klaus began to take in deep breaths as he walked into the open space.
"It's working." He whispered. "I can feel it." His bones started to crack as he began to yell in agony. He fell to his knees at the pain. He's transforming; he is becoming a hybrid. A new set of fangs began to come out as his eyes turned from red, to gold. His arms twisted in ways that was not normal to the human eye, his hands were becoming hairy as his finger nails elongated into sharp ones.
Before they knew it, Niklaus Mikaelson was a fully transformed were wolf. He howled up at the sky before flashing away.
"We need to go after him." Kol stated. "Thank you Bonnie for your service but we must leave." He added.
"You're welcome." She replied with a small smile. They gave her a nod before flashing towards their were wolf brother. Bonnie's eyes began to get watery as she noticed what she had just done. She helped to kill three human beings, she was part of this massacre. She took in several breaths before wiping the tears away and going back towards the mansion. She needed to rest, she would come back for Caroline tomorrow. Her nightmare will soon end and her life would soon begin.
"Bonnie." Caroline greeted at her door. "Are you coming to say goodnight?" She asked. Bonnie shook her head as she entered her room.
"I came to inform you that your services to Katerina are no longer needed." She stated, taking a seat on her bed.
"Why?" Caroline asked confused. Was she letting her go? She wasn't doing anything bad...anymore.
"Something terrible as befallen on her." Bonnie replied. "Katerina Petrova is no longer alive." She added. Caroline gasped as she covered her mouth with her hand.
"What?! How-How did this...What?!" Caroline stuttered as she began to pace back and forth in her bedroom.
"She was found in the backyard, dead." She answered. "We all believe it must have been one of Kol's company. I believe Ms...I believe Ms Petrova did not pay attention to the Lords rules." Bonnie hated to lie to her friend in this form.
"I am so glad!" Caroline breathed out.
"What?! How can you be glad of someone's death? Not just because they were terrible people, you must wish the worst upon them!?" Bonnie scolded. Caroline shook her head.
"No Bon, I did not mean it that way. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I wanted to say that I am glad that I did obey Kol's rules. I am sadden about Ms Petrova's departure, but I will not mourn her. She was cruel and a horrible person to me. I do not wish death to anyone that I can assure you but I will not mourn a person that made it their lives goal to make my life miserable." She cleared out. Bonnie gave Caroline a tight hug.
"I know Carebear." She whispered. "Now that you are clear of her, you need a home." Caroline tensed at that. She did need a home, but where? "And I have the perfect solution."
"What is it?" She asked, pulling away.
"You can come live with me." Bonnie suggested. Caroline let her sight drop.
"I don't know Bon, I wouldn't want to intrude." She replied. Bonnie laughed.
"You will not Caroline Forbes! It will be a dream come true for you to come and live with me!" Bonnie exclaimed. "Matty will be able to come and visit you every day, Nickolas as well Care! You will have your life back."
"Matty, Nickolas." Caroline whispered with a soft smile. "That would be great—but what about Kol?" She questioned. "He has become like a brother to me."
"He will be able to visit you as well as you will be able to come back here to visit him." Bonnie answered. "So, what do you say?" Caroline made a thinking face before a huge smile crept on her face.
"Yes!" She exclaimed, hugging her best friend once again. "When do I leave?"
"Tomorrow." She replied. "I will come to help."
"I don't have many things." She stated. "It won't be that hard."
"Oh sure you do, what of all these beautiful dresses?" Bonnie asked, gesturing towards her wardrobe.
"Those are Kol's not mine." She responded.
"Well, it will not matter because we will go and fit you for more gowns." Bonnie promised. "I have to head out now, but I will be here tomorrow bright and early."
"Alright Bon Bon." She replied, hugging her once more before she left. Caroline sat down on her bed as she began to think about everything she had just learned about. She was finally free from her torture, but it wasn't int the way she thought it would be. Katerina Petrova was gone from everyone's lives; it was terrifying to think. Your life is so valuable and fragile that small things can kill you in an instant.
Her whole life is about to change at the age of twenty. She will be living with her best friend, she will be able to see her family, and she will be away from Klaus. Even though it pains her to know that she will be away from him. She knows that its for the best and this is what they both need. He will need to find someone new, and she will soon marry Tyler and be the town's doctor's wife. She will live a long and beautiful along with him and their kids.
And in all that she will be happy because leaving Klaus will be the best decision she has every made. Although, it is the stupidest and most hard decision she did make because she still feels something for him.
She lay down on her bed as she closed her eyes. Memories of him kissing her, feeling his hands roam her body, his whispers began to haunt her. With those memories she fell soundly asleep.
Klaus slowly opened his eyes as he looked around. He was in the forest and completely naked; the last thing he remembered was the ritual.
Clothes flew in front of his eyes. "Change." Elijah commanded. Klaus smirked as he grabbed the clothes and he began to put them on.
"How long was I out?" He asked.
"Almost 2 days." Elijah answered.
"You had a killing spree." Kol added. "One that we had to clean up all your mess."
"I can stay a were wolf longer than what the full moon allows." He acknowledged. "That's good to know." He smirked.
"For you." Kol mumbled.
"Are we still in the whole of England?" Klaus then asked as he finished placing his shoes on.
"We are indeed." Elijah answered.
"As a matter of fact, we are in our back yard. Your inner self must have took us back here." Kol added.
"That is quite impressive." Klaus complimented.
"Yeah, let's not bust your ego and let's go inside." Kol stated while rolling his eyes.
Just as soon as they entered the mansion, Kol flashed towards Caroline's room. He knocked before entering, just like he always did, to find the room vacant. He spotted a white envelope on the middle of the bed, addressed to "Kol". He quickly grabbed, opening it without hesitation. It read:
Kol,
I decided to write you a letter because I guessed that this is the least you can receive from me now that I am gone. I have left to live with my best friend Bonnie. You were not here this morning, along with the other Lords, and that is why I couldn't give you a formal good bye. I did learn that Katerina Petrova is no longer with us. I do know she has died that night of your get together; and I am guessing you decided to have a service in her honor and tell her parents, I perfectly understand all those needs. Since my service was no longer required here, I decided to leave and start my life. You can visit me whenever and I will visit you as well. Remember that you are my brother as well and I love you. Also, don't worry I left all the dresses you bought, inside the wardrobe. I did not take anything that did not belong to me. I hope to hear from you soon, I wouldn't like for you to be mad at me for this.
With lots of love,
Caroline
Kol crushed the paper in his hand as he flashed towards his brothers. "Caroline left!" He exclaimed, storming into the study. Klaus and Elijah stopped talking, putting all their attention to Kol. "She left me a note, and she left."
"Why?" Elijah asked. Klaus dropped his head, he knew she would be leaving but not this quick.
"Bonnie informed her of Katerina's departure and she must have took that as a leave." Kol explained. "She did not even wait to tell me good bye." He whispered. "Although she did apologize for it in the letter."
"I think its for the best." Klaus commented.
"Yes, only because of your selfish needs!" Kol accused. "Now that she is no longer here, you won't have to see her with that bloke! But guess what Nik!? She is still with him, and you can't do anything about it. You can't run away from your problems."
"I am not running away from them!" He yelled. "She was the one that left! I did nothing to move her out, it was all her!" He exclaimed before storming out. He just wouldn't take anymore of his younger brother right now, and he needed to be away from him.
He entered his room just to notice a letter laying on his bed. His breath hitched as he walked closer to it. The envelope was addressed to him, but why? He quickly opened it; it read:
Lord Niklaus,
Thank you for having me in your mansion, I do appreciate it. I guess I owe you a good bye for it. I want you to know that your compulsion did not work, I had vervain in my system. I did love the way you gave up your own happiness for mine, at least that is what I think it was. It pained me as well but it is the best. I will never forget what I felt for you but I will move on. And it is only fair if you do me the favor of doing the same. You deserve happiness and after Katerina's death, I know you aren't ready for someone knew, but you must move on as well. I found a beautiful drawing in your bedroom, although I think you exaggerated on how beautiful the subject of your drawing was, I still saw as perfection and I decided to keep it. If you are planning to move on, you can't have a drawing of me it won't be fair to you. I only wish you the best in your long life Klaus. I do still have strong feelings for you, just thought you deserved to know.
Caroline
"What is that?" Bonnie asked Caroline.
"A drawing of me." She replied. "It is so beautiful, I can not stop gazing at it."
"Let me see." Bonnie said as she took the drawing out of her hands. Her eyes widened. "Wow."
"I know!"
"Who made this?" She asked. Caroline looked everywhere but Bonnie's eyes before answering.
"Lord Klaus." She whispered.
"And he gave this to you?" She asked. Caroline shook her head.
"I actually took it when I left a letter in his bedroom. If we are both moving on, then he must not have a drawing of me." She stated as a matter of fact.
"But this is not you moving on Care." Bonnie said handing her the drawing back. "By watching the drawing, you only remind yourself of him and what happened between the both of you."
"And what would you suggest I do with it then?" Caroline asked, looking into her best friends eyes.
"Get rid of it." She simply suggested.
A/N: So what do you think of this chapter? How do you think Klaus will react towards Caroline's letter? What do you think Caroline will do with the drawing?
