Ever since he moved into the Madaraki manor, Shinichi's life has become rather hectic in a variety of ways. He used to be a loner, but now he had a group of new friends that he could share his secret life with. A pretty vampire, a sexy succubus, and a cute yuki-onna. Along those handful of pretty girls, he met another armored kid like him, who also gained a group of girls hanging around him; a cheerful fox, a beautiful elf, and another succubus. Together, the eight of them combined their powers to fight against a mysterious organization that was responsible for turning people into monsters. Things had been going well for them... until recently that is.
Shinichi's underclassman, Aoi Tatsu, was turned into one of those monsters. He was twisted and corrupted from all of his pain and suffering, turning him into a raging beast that outclassed them in every way. And at the time when he was at his lowest, when he was at his most vulnerable. Why didn't he tell Shinichi that he was disowned? He could've done something. He could've helped him. Now Shinichi has lost his friend to the dark side, with the Sandrock Gunpla which they built together as the only thing to remember him by. Shinichi kept the Gunpla in a protective glass jar for safety. It was now one of his most treasured possessions. He sat on his bed with a despaired expression on his face, looking at the Gunpla standing on his wardrobe.
"Aoi-kun...why?"
It was already two days after the start of summer vacation, but Shinichi didn't feel like celebrating much. What was there to celebrate? What they had experienced was a total defeat. Not only did the enemy get away but Shinichi had failed to uphold his promise.
"I promised...I promised I'd save him..." he vowed.
But now Aoi was out of reach.
Shinichi gazed at his hands. He had all this power and yet he couldn't even save his friend. He felt incredibly low.
The residents took notice of Shinichi's sour mood. Some tried to help him while others weren't sure of what to do next. Fran sat in the foyer with her head resting behind her folded arms. Veronica was on the next chair over watching some TV. She was definitely worried about her surrogate brother. She needed some way to help him out of his funk. But what to do?
Coming to an answer, she snapped her fingers and smiled, "I've got it! I know how to help him!"
"How?" Veronica asked, looking up from the television.
"It's summer break. I'm thinking some time away from the city," Fran answered.
"What about your work to synthesize that Anti-Freak serum?" Veronica asked.
"Stalled...for the moment," sighed Fran, twisting one of the bolts on her head. "We won't know if it works unless we have an unused Freak Chip and guinea pig."
"Just grab someone. When have you ever been against experimenting on humans?"
"I would only experiment on people if they let me," Fran defended, "I would never force such a thing on someone."
"If only you took the Hippocratic Oath a little more seriously," Veronica muttered under her breath.
"You say something?"
"No."
Finally deciding to get out of his room, Shinichi went to the infirmary to see Moka. According to Fran, her legs were healing, but she needed to stay to make sure she healed properly. He walked up to a door where Moka's name was inscribed and knocked twice.
"Moka? You awake?" Shinichi asked.
"It's opened," a soft, feminine voice answered. Shinichi opened the door and went inside, greeted by the sight of a cute pinkette sitting on the bed, dressed in a cute set of PJs, smiling at him. "Shinichi-kun, glad to see you!" Moka beamed. He smiled smiled back. He was glad to see this version of her. The silver-haired version was not exactly pleasant after having her legs broken in several places. Fortunately, the painkillers helped. Her legs were still in casts and propped up to let them heal. Though, Moka was pretty much stuck in bed.
"How are you feeling?" he asked as he grabbed a chair and sat by her bed.
"Bored," Moka frowned. "And my legs are itchy. How long do I have to wear these casts?"
"According to Fran, they should already be back to normal, but she just wants to be sure," Shinichi answered, "Give it another two hours and she'll let you go."
"That's good news," Moka nodded, "At least that means I get to move around on my own again." Her eyes fidgeted slightly as she pressed her fingers together, "So, um... how are you doing?"
"Why do you ask?" Shinichi blinked.
"I mean... losing Aoi-kun," Moka clarified, "Mizore-chan told me that you were really quiet ever since we got back."
Shinichi looked down shamefully, "Honestly..." he sighed, "I feel like crap. He was my underclassman and... I couldn't do anything to help him."
"You shouldn't be so hard on yourself," Moka reassured him.
"But I promised...I promised!" Shinichi clenched his eyes and fists, "And I failed him!"
"Hey now, I'm sure there's still a chance to get Aoi-kun back," Moka smiled gently. "Maybe... we just have to figure where they took him."
"But he could be anywhere," Shinichi argued. "We have no idea of where to start. We have no idea they're doing to him right now. They could've brainwashed him for a we know."
"Shinichi-kun..." Moka whispered softly, "Do you still think we can save him?"
"I can only hope, Moka," Shinichi said softly. "It's all that I can do."
"Then keep hoping," Moka urged. "If there's a chance to help him, even if it's less than 10%, it's still better than nothing isn't it?"
Shinichi smiled slowly, "It really is better than nothing, when I think about it. Thank you, Moka."
"It's no problem," Moka smiled back, "I'm just happy to see you smile again." Her cheeks turned red as she looked away shyly, "Um... can I ask for a favor?"
"Yeah? What is it?" Shinichi asked.
"Can I drink your blood?" Moka asked with bashfully smile.
Shinichi rolled his eyes. Of course, she was a vampire so she needed to drink his blood. "Sure." He offered his neck to her. She smiled as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Itadakimasu~!" she beamed with her fangs extending out of her mouth and was about to place her lips over his neck when the he heard a knock at the door. On reflex, Shinichi turned his head but ended up with his face in the path of Moka's lips. She had her eyes closed so she did not notice. It was only until...
CHU!
She realized her lips were touching something soft but it wasn't the skin of Shinichi's neck. The texture was different. Softer, more pliant. Her eyes fluttered opened slowly, and saw Shinichi's widened eyes looking back at hers.
And she realized her lips were touching his. The blood drained from Moka's face as she recoiled in shock while Shinichi sat frozen in his seat, eyes wide and unblinking.
"Gomen! Gomen! Gomen!" Moka apologized frantically, a red blush on her cheeks.
"No, no! It's my fault! I shouldn't have moved!" Shinichi said, his cheeks also bright red and his antenna hair twitching erratically.
The door opened and Fran came in, "I hope I'm not interrupting."
"Ah, Fran-san!" Shinichi jumped to his feet. His eyes darted to Moka then back at Fran, "Moka wants to know when her casts will be ready to be removed."
"Oh, just another two hours," Fran answered, "Then she's good to go. Moka-san, tell your other personality to not push herself next time. If you were a normal human, you would've been crippled. I may not know so much about vampire biology, but better safe than sorry."
The red gem in Moka's cross seemed to shine angrily at that comment. Still, the girl answered with a nod, "Hai, Fran-san."
"I will still need to conduct an examination," Fran added. "Please, undress."
"And that is my cue to leave," said Shinichi as he swiftly left the room. "Later ladies."
Shinichi closed the door behind him and leaned on it, his cheeks still warm from the unexpected liplock. He couldn't get the sensation of Moka's lips against his own out of his mind. Did it count as a kiss? No, it was purely accidental. Nothing more. He need not worry too much about it. "I need a shower," he finally decided, and went to find the nearest bathroom.

Witch's Knoll Saga
Episode 12: Season of the Witch
The battle that took place two days ago between Shinichi's group and the Seiryu Freak did not go unnoticed by the general public. The train depot was still very much a wreck, the police cars burnt and the trains turned over or destroyed in several different ways. One of the trains that mysteriously operated itself through one of the tracks had been turned over the side of the road, likely when it picked up too much speed. Fortunately there there were only a few people injured. Not to mention the strange electric storm that took place that night that actually electrified most of the city somehow. There was also plenty of property damage to be dealt with. The only explanation people could come up from the police reports was a dragonic monster that was responsible for the deaths of an elderly couple and an officer.
The police were up in arms from all the chaos and were scrambling to find anything at all that could give them answers, but there was nothing they could use at all. They had already blocked off the train that crashed into the streets with the yellow police tape, redirecting traffic to other detours. A pair school boys watched the traffic buildup along with the other audience around them, watching in awe at the literal train wreck.
"Damn, what a mess," said Saji.
"Whaddya think happened?" Takeru asked.
"If I had to guess, that monster them folks were talkin' about must've tried to use that there train as a getaway car," Saji theorized, crossing his arms, "And then one thing lead to another. I don't know... I must be thinking too much on things."
"Hey, has Shinichi called?" Takeru asked. "Coz I've been texting him and he hasn't given a reply."
"The text about that party with those cheerleaders?" Saji replied. "Didn't hear from him either. Probably just busy. I wouldn't worry about it too much."
"But have you read the news about Aoi? Think Shin knows about it?" Takeru pressed on. There was the news bulletin about Aoi who had gone missing. Not only that, but his grandparents were also murdered. He was already on the missing persons list and some of the officers were already trying to find his whereabouts.
"Hm, now that you mention it..." Saji frowned, rubbing his chin, "Maybe we should check up on him. See how he's holding up?"
"Right. Say, do you know where he lives?" Takeru questioned.
"What?" Saji exclaimed as he turned to Takeru,"I thought you knew where he lives!"
It soon dawned on them that neither of them knew where Shinichi lived. Both boys stood there, staring dumbly at one another as they released the paradox of their conversation. "Well... we're boned."
"Let's just see if we can get him on the line again," Saji sighed.
"Don't you mean 'online'?" Takeru corrected.
"Shaddup and let's just get outta here," Saji growled.
With their minds made up, the two boys moved through the crowd to get to a more comfortable side of the street. As they made they way out of the crowd, the barely noticed three figures entering the mob rather easily. These figures were dressed in white cloaks adorned with gold and blue accents which completely concealed their bodies, completely with hoods that covered their heads. A few people looked at them oddly as their passed, wondering why they would were cloaks on such a hot day. The trio didn't pay much mind to the people around them as they eventually reached the police tape. Without any hesitance, they ducked under the tape and continued towards the wrecked train.
"Hey!" one of the officers shouted, running up to them, "Where do you think your going? This area is restricted!" the cloaked figure in front reached for something in their cloak and pulled out for the police man to see. He seemed to recognize what ever the person was showing him as well. "Oh... I see. So they sent you," he nodded, "In that case, I'll leave you to your work."
"Thank you," the figure said in a feminine voice, revealing her to be a woman. The three cloaked figures looked around the train before entering one of the cars through the opened doors, which they had to do by jumping in through the side due to the train being flipped over. They walked around the car carefully, looking around the damage done. "It appears that a battle took place here," another one of the figures said in regal female voice.
"Sure does look that way," the last female figure said. "Question is what for, and if it involves them."
"That's why we were sent here," the first woman said. "The elders said that there were sighting of beasts in this city. We need to decide whether or not we are needed here." She pulled down her hood, letting down long purple hair that was tied up in twin ponytails, held up together by two hairclips. Her face was quite beautiful and very youthful looking with Italian features. Her eyes were deep brown and she had two small bronze plates as earrings.
The other pair decided to drop their hoods as well. The older one was European in appearance. Her hair was blond and reached the small of her back with deep green eyes. There was a silver headband with wings on both sides on her head, giving her a distinct look. The youngest of them edge closer to Japanese with her black hair that reached her shoulders and hime-cut bangs that almost covered a gold and red forehead protector. Her eyes were also brown like the first woman's Both side bangs are tied together in red ribbons. She was also wearing a headband, though the appearance gave it the appearance of cat ears.
"So how about it?" the Japanese girl asked impatiently with her arms crossed, "Are we going to get started or what?"
"Honestly, Yayoi. You really need to be more rational," the blonde scolded. "You know we can't just jump ahead." She looked around and noticed several claw markings on the seats. "Whatever caused that definitely wasn't human."
"And this," the Italian continued, looking at a humanoid shaped dent. "From the looks of this, someone was struck into this ceiling. Something really is amiss here." She reached into her cloak and pulled out what looked like a lighter. Flicking the lighter on, it lit up in a strange green flame. She towards the, and in response the flame on the lighter grew. As the women watched the flame grow slowly, the color of the fire went from green to crimson.
"A vampire!" the Italian girl confirmed, speaking the word out like a curse as she shut of the lighter, "There was a vampire here!"
"And others, judging by the residual Youki," the blonde added, her voice becoming grim. "So Youkai were definitely involved in this."
"In other words we have a whole den of filth to clean out," Yayoi concluded with a snort, folding her arms. "Looks like we have another job to do."
"First we must confirm this with the Order," the blonde reminded her. "We do not know yet what we are up against. Remember that vampires are among the strongest of demons in the world. Once we do that we need to continue gathering whatever information we can find before we make our plan of action."
"Yeah, yeah, I haven't forgotten," Yayoi sighed, crossing her arms.
"Then let's move out," the Italian said, glaring at the dent, "The faster we can go confirm this with the Order, the faster we get to removing God's mistakes from this world. Tis our duty as demon slayers." She swiftly swung her arm, and a small dagger sliced into the heart of the dent.
Deciding to get his mind off things, Shinichi decided to play a little bit of Halo. He loaded up the game, put on his headset, and grabbed the controller. He logged into Xbox live and went online.
"Huh?" Shinichi spotted Saji and Takeru's gamertags were online. His avatar then spotted their Spartan avatars in the middle of an argument. Saji's Spartan avatar wore blood red armor and Takeru's Spartan avatar wore teal armor. Shinichi's own avatar wore black armor with yellow highlights. The two Spartan avatars noticed Shinichi's avatar appearing and waved.
"Oh, look who finally decided to drop by! We knew if we hung around on the line long enough we'd see you," said Saji.
"It's 'online', Saji," Takeru corrected.
"I told you to call me 'Sarge' when we're here!" Saji corrected.
"Whatever, 'Sarge'," Takeru rolled his eyes.
"Oh, hey guys," Shinichi greeted.
"So, how have you been? We've been trying to call you for two days but you never picked up," Takeru remarked.
"Just...been bummed about Aoi-kun," confessed Shinichi.
"I get ya. Poor kid," Saji shook his head.
"I mean, what happened to him, was pretty messed up," Takeru stated.
"You have no idea..." Shinichi muttered.
"What was that?" Takeru asked.
"Oh, nothing. So, what are we playing?" Shinichi asked.
"Oh, I think it's a game of Capture the Flag," said Takeru. "We were supposed to play against another team but they haven't logged on yet."
"I told you to send a message!" Saji snapped.
"What!? I don't have to do shit! They're supposed to be here!"
"And I told you to check!"
"Guys! Guys! Look, how about we just cruise around the map in the Warthog and see what turns up?" suggested Shinichi.
"Sounds fun. Maybe we can try the Team Campaign thing. I'm in the mood to shoot aliens," Takeru agreed.
"Just lemme drive," Saji demanded.
"Of course," Shinichi nodded, jumping into said Warthog. "Now hop in. Let's slay some aliens!"
"HOO-RAH!"
They travelled and found one of the alien bases which were located on the map. The aliens were NPC's set up so that players could slay them and get XP. Well, the trio already knew what to do. Saji pretty much shouted what they were going to do.
"LET'S BUST SOME ALIEN HEADS!" Saji turned the wheel. Takeru was riding shotgun with an assault rifle while Shinichi was on the back with the turret.
"LET'S FUCK THEM UP!" Takeru yelled in agreement.
"SAY YA PRAYERS ALIEN SCUM!" Shinichi roared in enthusiasm, shooting the turret like a wild man. In this virtual world he could forget his troubles and take out his frustration on 'live' targets without consequence.
"SAY YA PRAYERS ALIEN SCUM!"
That was what Adorea and Mizore heard as they were were listening in on Shinichi from behind his bedroom door. "It sounds like he's back to normal," Adorea said with a smile in her voice, "That's good news. I was beginning to get worried."
"YEAH! SUCK IT! SUCK IT! BLEED, ALIENS! BLEED! BLEED FOR ME! BLEED BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! HAHAHAHA!"
"Does he normally sound so violent and insane?" Mizore inquired.
"Only when he plays his video games," Adorea clarified
"EAT GRENADES! EAT THEM! YEAH! GRENADES! THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A DELICIOUS DEATH-FAST!"
"Fran states that it's good stress relief for him," the bandaged girl added.
"SUCK MY BALLS! YEAH! T-BAGS! YOU LIKE T-BAGS! YOU WANT MORE T-BAGS!?"
"It must be some baggage," Mizore said, sweatdropping.
"He just needs to let it out," Adorea justified.
"I could help him," Mizore pouted.
"I'm afraid to ask, but how?" Adorea asked warily.
"My mother taught me all I need to know about how to relax a man," Mizore smiled, taking her lollipop out of her mouth and showing it to Adorea. "This lollipop isn't just here to keep me cool, it's also useful for... practice."
"...Right." Adorea was aware of Mizore's attraction to Shinichi and sometimes it was borderline creepy. Still, it was good that Mizore would stick her neck out for him.
Moka sighed happily as she planted her feet on the floor. It felt great to be out of those casts. "Whaa... that's much better," Moka smiled, wiggle her toes.
"There doesn't seem to be any anomalies," Fran smiled as she looked over the girl's legs once more. "Looks like you really are good to go."
"That's good," Moka said, stretching her arms, "I can't believe I was in bed for so long. I really needed to stretch my muscles."
"Then you'll get the chance," Fran said. "How do you feel about taking a trip out of the country for the weekend? It's your summer vacation right? You should get the chance to have some fun."
"Really?" Moka beamed, starry-eyed. "That sounds like fun!"
"Wonderful!" the blonde smiled back. "I'll tell Shinichi, Mizore-chan, and Kurumu-chan too! It'll be so much fun! Well, excuse me now!" Fran went out of the door and closed it behind her.
"Yeah... it'll be fun," Moka smiled with a meek smiled. Honestly, she really did want to spend some alone time with Shinichi. Since Kurumu came along and with Mizore living in the manor with him, it really wasn't much of an option. To be fair though, she really did enjoy their company. She was very happy to have friends she could depend on, and she wasn't alone like she was in middle school.
The red gem on her rosary glowed an ominous red, almost as if it was starting to come alive. "How can you possible be relaxed at a time like this?" it spoke in a rough female voice, "We should be trying to find the source of those Freak Chips and who it is supplying them."
"But you heard Fran-san," Moka countered, gripping her rosary as she looked down at it, "There are no clues as where to find the suppliers. As far as we know, this could be a whole organization we're going against and we don't even know their name."
"All the more reason we should find the people responsible," the rosary said stubbornly. "There is always a trail hidden, no matter how small."
Moka cocked an eyebrow, "You know, you usually wouldn't want to concern yourself in something like this. If I didn't know any better I'd say you'd want revenge for getting beaten so easily."
"Hoo? And what makes you say that?"
"You and I are one in the same remember?" Moka replied, her face becoming slightly stern. "Whatever you feel, I feel. Whatever I feel, you feel. Until yesterday, the only ones who ever defeated us were father and our older sisters. But none of them were able to injure us like that, mostly because they were holding back. You're feeling embarrassed from being shrugged off like nothing, and on top of that our most used method of attacking was-"
"You don't need to remind me!" the rosary snapped.
"But still, you have to remember that it wasn't Aoi-kun's fault," Moka continued. "It's the Freak's doing. He's just a victim in all this so don't take it too hard on him."
"..." The rosary didn't say anything more. All she did was play the moment where the Seiryu Freak effortlessly crushed her legs over and over. It still hurt like hell to see it play in her mind, and her pride was still just as much bruised. Vampires were suppose to be the top of the food chain in the monster world. They were the monsters that all other monsters feared and only a few of them such as kitsunes, werewolves, ushi-onis, and onis were able match them in strength. However, to be toyed in such away... to be overpowered like that... was something Inner Moka couldn't stand for.
'Aoi Tatsu. Even if you are Shinichi's kohai... I definitely won't forgive you.'
Shinichi walked through the hall as he stretched out his arms with a satisfied moan. After some fun in the Halo servers with Saji and Takeru, he was in a better mood than he was days ago. He still felt a little guilty, but he knew that he couldn't let guilt get the better of him. As he was going to find something to eat, Fran called him over to talk to something important about him.
"Pack your bags, Shinichi. We're going on a trip," said Fran.
"A trip?" Shinichi asked, surprised by her announcement.
"A trip to the country!" Fran declared, putting her arms around his shoulders from behind. "You're on summer vacation, aren't you? Besides, maybe it's time you experienced life outside the city!"
Shinichi's eyes narrowed in suspicion, "What are you planning?"
Fran gasped, scandalized, "Do you think I am up to something?"
"There's always a reason you do something," Shinichi deadpanned.
Fran sighed, knowing she couldn't pull the wool over his eyes, "Look, you've been traumatized. What happened to Aoi-kun and blaming yourself for it. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself."
"I know..." he sighed. "So, what's the plan? Do you have a summer house or something?"
"Yep," Fran winked, "We'll head out first thing tomorrow! You can call Kurumu-chan, Netto-kun and the others too. I'm sure they would love to come. And this could also be a chance to have a little alone time with your girlfriends."
"Haha... sure," Shinichi smiled a little nervously at Fran's emphasis on "alone time". She was always the romantic enthusiast so he should be surprised by her suggestion. How ironic that the only target of her amorous affections was her own father. "Still... we could use a break. That sounds like a good idea after all."
"I'll make preparations. You go and call your friends. The more the merrier."
Shinichi considered it. Maybe Fran was right. He could even call Saji and Takeru to join. Unless they had other plans. Though maybe considering the antics of the girls attracted to him, it would be better if they didn't show. He wasn't even sure how Netto's harem acted around him. He might as well ask, if for no reason than to be polite. He didn't want to alienate the few normal friends he .
"Well, might as well ask them," Shinichi said, grabbing his cell phone. He dialed Saji's number first. He placed the phone to his ear and waited for the line to pick up. "Hey, Saji! Guess what? Fran's taking me and the others out of the country for the weekend. I was wondering if you wanna come along."
"Sorry Shinichi!" Saji grunted through the numbers of sit-ups, "My folks put me through a weekend long boot camp! Can't rest till Monday! Maybe some other time!"
"Oh, sure. Well, good luck," Shinichi said before hanging up. "Takeru then?" He dialed Takeru's number and waited for him to pick up.
"A weekend long stay at a summer home?" Takeru inquired. He was standing out near a bus station with a suitcase next to him. "Sorry dude. As much as would love to see hot girls in bikinis I'm going to Nara to pick up a cousin of mine who's gonna be staying with me for a while. Still, the summer's young so maybe we can hang out later."
"Oh, sure. See ya," Shinichi nodded and hung up. "Ah, that's convenient." Guess Saji and Takeru did have plans. Well, he couldn't fault them for that. At least they wouldn't be accidentally exposed to the weirdness that was his life. "Well, let's see if Netto's busy," Shinichi said, dialing Netto's number.
Netto was pulled out of the book he was reading as soon as his phone rang. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his cell phone looked at the caller ID. Smiling slightly, he pressed the button to accept the call and brought it to his face. "Hey Shinichi! We were worried about you. How are you feeling?"
"A little better," Shinichi answered. "Nothing worse for wear. Do you have any plans for the weekend?"
"Not in particular," Netto replied. "Why?"
"Fran-san is taking me out to the country for a weekend trip. Figures I called some friends to join. We're friends, right?"
"Yeah we are," Netto said, nodding. "Sure, I'll come along. I'll call Kiko and Usha too."
"You do that." Shinichi said, "...Say, Netto. Can I ask you something?"
"What's that?" Netto blinked.
"Aoi-kun...do you think we'll be able to save him?" Netto heard the doubt in Shinichi's voice.
Netto paused for a moment, considering what to say. He gave a sigh and soft smile, "Yeah, of course we will. We just need to stay positive, ya know? Even when facing something impossible, you just need to think positively and not negatively."
"I'm just afraid that we might've lost him forever," Shinichi continued solemnly.
"Come on now, it's not good to just mope around like that. There's still a possible chance to help your kohai," Netto scolded.
"I know, but I just hate making promises I can't keep," Shinichi sighed.
"Yeah, I get you," Netto understood. "So, when do we leave?"
"Tomorrow. Sorry if this is short notice. She dropped it on me too," Shinichi told him.
"It's cool. I'll make it happen," Netto answered, nodding. "Later." As soon as he hung up, pair of arms slipped around his neck and a body pressed up against his back.
"Was that Shinichi?" Qiao asked.
"It is," Netto said, wrapping his arms around hers, "He's in a better mood now. He said Fran is going out of the country and he wants us to come with them."
"Oh, really? That sounds nice," Qiao smiled. "So, you wanna go?"
"You bet," Netto grinned. "We could use a bit of a break after all we went through. I'll just ask Kiko and Usha. Just hope they aren't busy."
"Too busy to miss out on a weekend with you? I don't think so," she grinned foxily, the ear-like parts on her head wiggling.
Kurumu had received a phone call from Shinichi earlier and had gotten invited to go on a summer trip. She quickly began to pack. Right now, she was choosing which swimsuit to bring. Her mother always said that a swimsuit was basically a legal way to appear half naked while not breaking any laws of indecent exposure. Most of her swimsuits were bikinis anyway but she wanted to pick one that would draw Shinichi's gaze towards her and only her.
"Should I go with a thong or is that too much?" Kurumu wondered out loud as she held up said thong. She wanted to make Shinichi look at her like he wanted to pounce and do her. She wasn't a shameless slut or anything like that, but as a succubus she was supposed to use her natural beauty to attract her Destined One. To her, that person was Shinichi.
Around that same time, someone else was packing her things. After getting her call from Netto, Kiko was already examining her collection of bikinis. She held up to of them together for comparison. One was a black string bikini, while the other was purple two-piece. "Decisions, decisions..." Kiko hummed to herself.
Walking towards her with a plate of a kettle and a cup of tea was a tall man in a suit. He had long silver hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes. "Your tea, Ojou-sama," the man said.
Kiko sat the pair of bikinis down on her bed and walked over to her butler. "Thank you, Sebastian," Kiko smiled, taking the cup of tea and sipping out of it. "Which ones do you think I should bring?"
"Now Ojou-sama, you know that I'm not the type who has an eye for what the youths are wearing," Sebastian told her. "However, I would suggest something that did not show more skin than required," he continued, eyeing the string bikini.
"Hm, I suppose you're right. It does seem a bit too risque," Kiko admitted, looking at the bikini as well. "Although..." she added with a smile smirk, it could be worn when we're both alone in a hot tub together..."
"So you say..." Sebastian sighed, sweatdropping.
Usha was looking through her wardrobe to find what to pack. Being a succubus, she knew all the tricks and trades on how to seduce a man. After all, she was the daughter of what could possible the most sensual demons on the planet. While she's no stranger to attracting boys, this was one who she was general liked to. Someone that she wanted make hers and hers alone. Of course she had two other girls to share with, but it wasn't anything to sneeze at. As long as she can have him that's its good enough for her. Finding what she was looking for, she pulled the bikini out of her wardrobe and smiled.
"This will do nicely."
Eventually, the next day came and the party had met up at the front of Fran's house. There was a minivan waiting for them, ready for departure. The weather was perfect for a summer outing, with the sun out with no clouds in the sky and the warm weather.
Shinichi was dressed for summer, wearing a white t-shirt with green sleeves and a sun on both the front and back. He left it untuck. He also wore a pair of denim shorts that stopped just above the knees. He also wore black sneakers with socks and on his head was a baseball cap. Mizore was dressed in her usual white and dark blue sweat shirt but with a more casual yet still short skirt. Kurumu's clothing choice was a sun-yellow tank top and cut off denim shorts that showed off her figure shamelessly. She wore sandals as well. Moka's choice of clothing was a bit more modest as she wore a light blue sun dress.
Shinichi glanced at Moka, then looked away to hide his blush.
Netto in the mean time was dressed in a blue shirt with the number 90 colored in red and black jeans with blue sneakers, and also kept his goggles around his neck. Qiao was dressed in an orange tank top with a blue windbreaker jacket over it, tight blue jeans and her usual boots. Kiko was dressed in something a little more pricey. She was dressed in a crimson blouse top that had a V shaped cut out to expose her cleavage with a black mini skirt around her waist. Her nice, long legs were in a nylon pantyhose and black heels. As for Usha, she was dressed in black sun dress with a matching sun hat on her head. Said sun dress wasn't doing a very good job of keeping in her chest, which was squeezing out.
The teens had their luggage and were ready to go. Though, there were concerns about the minivan. It would be quite snug for the whole group. Adding both Shinichi and Netto's groups together, and with Fran driving, there would be nine people to squeeze into the minivan.
"I can always sit in Shinichi's lap," Kurumu volunteered.
"Denied!" both Moka and Mizore instantly objected.
"Gah, you're both no fun," Kurumu booed.
"Well, if that's the way you ladies wanna have it, I'm sure that one of you could sit on the other's lap," Kiko smiled teasingly.
"Well, aren't you the comedian," Kurumu said dryily.
"Alright, everyone!" Fran beamed as she came out to welcome them. She was in a white sundress, wearing a straw hat and her lab coat. It seemed she never almost went anywhere without it. "Are you ready?"
"Fran-san, where exactly are we going?" Moka asked curiously.
"Oh, I have a summer home in the country. You'll love it. It has everything you'll need," Fran smiled. "There's also a beach nearby."
"Sounds like fun. Guess this means we'll get to wear our sexy swimsuits after all," Qiao beamed.
"Sexy swimsuits?" Shinichi echoed.
"Oh, you know what I mean," Qiao smiled.
"So, shall we get going then?" Fran asked, clapping her hands together.
"No time like the present," replied Shinichi as he popped open the back. "OK, everyone! Throw your luggage in!" Once the luggage was stored, everyone got into the minivan. Shinichi ended up riding shotgun next to Fran, much to Moka, Mizore and Kurumu's disappointment who were close behind. Netto, on the other hand, was squeezed next to Usha, who wasted no time squeezing his arm between her large assets, much to his embarrassment. Kiko seem slightly disappointed though Qiao didn't mind much. She'd get her chance eventually.
"This summer home, is it really that good?" Shinichi asked as he strapped himself in with the seatbelt.
"Trust me, Shinichi. You and your friends are going to love it," Fran smiled.
"Too bad Veronica and Adorea couldn't come with us, though," Shinichi stated.
"Someone has to watch the house while we're away," Fran pointed out. "And Adorea is one of the best people who can keep Veronica from getting out of hand when dealing with intruders."
"That makes sense," Shinichi agreed. Veronica does tend to get overboard when handling intruders. Fran doesn't really approve of her methods, but it get's the job done nonetheless. And Adorea may look frail but she could be pretty dangerous herself. She actually swallowed an entire team of assassins one time...and got really fat afterwards.
"Hey, Netto. Does that scanner of yours function like a regular 3DS too?" Shinichi asked.
"It can, but why do you ask?" Netto asked and Shinichi held up his own black 3DS with a copy of Pokemon X. "You play Pokemon too?"
Shinichi answered, "I enjoy the concept of building your own party from the hundreds of Pokemon they have in the game. Sides, I bet my team can destroy yours."
"Is that so?" Netto grinned. "We'll have to see for ourselves, won't we?"
"You're on," Shinichi grinned back.
It was a two hour drive through the highway, and the group kept busy by watching the boys play against one another in Pokemon battles. The two groups of girls provided to be great cheerleaders for the two boys that they were attracted to, the car filling with cheers or moans depending on who won. Usha was the only one who didn't make a sound. She wasn't much of a cheering type but was interested in the game regardless. Fran couldn't help but smile. It looked like Shinichi was back to his normal self. The trip really was a good idea after all. After the long ride, the gang arrived to their destination and stepped out to take in the view. The summer home was a beautiful two-storey log cabin. It was definitely a nice place to spend the weekend and relax while surrounded by nature.
"Oh wow," Qiao breathed out in wonder, "This place is beautiful."
"It's not as big as my family's summer home, but I really have to agree with you on that," Kiko nodded, taking in the scenery.
"I'm so glad you all like it," Fran beamed, clapping her hands together. "It has a living room with surround sound and a large screen TV, ten bedrooms, fifteen bathrooms, two bathhouses, a kitchen, a gym, a recreation room, and also a morgue."
"What? A morgue?" Shinichi asked cautiously, "Why is there a morgue in a summer house?"
"Ah, because it was owned by my father," Fran answered, the smile still on her face.
"Oh," Shinichi blinked, "That makes sense." It explained a lot, really. Even if it was summer, something interesting to experiment on may pop up.
"Come inside. Let me show you to your rooms so you can make yourself at home," Fran offered.
"Then we'll hit the beach!" Kurumu yelled excitedly. She already picked out a swimsuit, a really sexy one meant just for the trip.
The beach was very close to the cabin and also quite deserted. In fact, their group were the only ones present on the entire beach.
"Are beaches normally deserted?" Shinichi asked.
"Oh, this is a private beach," Fran explained.
"A private beach?" everyone echoed as Fran nodded. She began to take off her sundress.
"Fran-san!?" Shinichi exclaimed as Fran removed her sundress to reveal that she was wearing a bathing suit underneath. It was a black bikini that really looked great on her. Even the scars on her body didn't take away the attractiveness.
"Oh, don't be so worried! I was wearing a swimsuit," answered Fran as she put her straw hat back on. "Now, go on kids. Have fun!"
"YAY~!" The girls all cheered, with the exception of Usha who simply went, "Mmm."
It was only a few minutes later when they were all in their swimsuits and enjoying the beach. Moka was sitting on a beach chair enjoying the cool summer breeze, wearing a white bikini with pink trim. Kurumu and Kiko were playing in the water, with Kurumu wearing a yellow bikini and Kiko in a purple two piece. Mizore was decked in a blue and white striped bikini, sitting underneath an umbrella while enjoying some ice cold treats. As for Usha...
"Netto, would you do me a favor and apply the suntan lotion on me?" the goth asked, handing him a lotion bottle.
Netto, who was in a blue pair of trunks with a red jersey shirt, nodded, "Sure." He squeezed the lotion onto his hands and rubbed it together. He turned back to Usha and nearly passed out. Her choice of swimwear was a black string bling bikini which barely covered her nipples and groin. She was even on her stomach provocatively, which didn't help his hormones.
"Is that even legal?" Shinichi asked as he took a look at Usha. Shinichi's choice for beachwear was a pair of black trunks and a blue t-shirt decorated by autumn leaves in a pattern. He had his baseball cap on and a pair of sunglasses.
"This is a private beach so it's perfectly fine," allowed Fran.
"Well? Hurry up," Usha insisted Netto.
"R... right," Netto nodded, the blush still on his face. He kneeled next to Usha and began to apply the lotion on her back. Usha shivered slightly from the touch, but the erotic moan coming from her lips was enough to let Netto know that she was enjoying it. Qiao always said that his hands were talented.
"Don't forget to apply some to my chest as well," Usha reminded him. "And don't miss a spot." And Netto nearly had a nosebleed from that remark.
"I feel almost sorry for him," Shinichi said with a half-smile, sweatdropping.
"Hey, Shinichi! Come into the water! It's fine!" Kurumu waved at him.
"OK, I'm coming!" Shinichi answered as he took off his cap, sunglasses and removed his t-shirt. Kurumu licked her lips at the sight of his exposed upper body. He was muscular but not bulky like those body builders. He was actually pretty slim with defined muscles and a six-pack. Of course, the most glaring thing on his body was the XIII tattooed upon his left shoulder.
Moka watched with envy. It was too bad that she couldn't join Shinichi in the water. It was times like these she wished she didn't have that weakness of hers holding her back.
"It's nice to see him smiling like that," spoke Fran as she relaxed on a beach chair next to Moka. "I mean, it's unlike the way he was when we first met."
"What do you mean?" Moka asked.
"Before he met me, he never had a single happy memory. He never had anything to smile about. In fact, the concepts of 'happiness' and 'smiling' were alien to him," Fran explained. "All he knew was survival. Before he met me, he had no friends to speak of."
"It must've been lonely for him," Moka said softly, "I can relate to that."
"Yeah, it was. Did you know that I was the first person he ever trusted in his whole life?"
"I'm sure there's a reason," Moka replied.
"He was betrayed in the worst way possible. He never went into detail about what happened. Though, if he hadn't meant me, he probably wouldn't be able to trust anyone ever again," Fran told her.
"I see," Moka nodded slowly.
"I'm glad he met you, Moka," Fran confessed. "I'm glad he's made so many friends."
"I'm glad too," Moka smiled at her. "I didn't really have that many friends before I met Shinichi. Now I know lots of new people. It makes me feel at ease."
"Guess you finally found the friends you were looking for, huh?" Fran questioned.
"Yes..." Moka admitted and her gaze went towards Shinichi. A light blush appeared on her cheeks as she gently brushed her lips, "...And so much more."
"Hey, Usha-chan! What are you-?" Netto nearly gasped as the lilim straddled his waist.
"It's only fair that I apply suntan lotion on you now," Usha smiled, her hands dripping with the goop, "Just relax, it will feel good." The elder girl started to roam her hands around his chest, arms and neck, rubbing the lotion all over his body. Netto shivered slightly, and a blush appeared on his face. She really did know what she was doing, and he was actually begin to feel good from her touch. "How is that?"
"It's... good," Netto admitted, abashed.
"I'm happy to hear it," Usha smiled, "I can show much more if you like." Netto couldn't even answer as she brought her face closer to his. And thankfully he didn't have too as someone else gave a shouting announcement.
"Hey you guys!" Qiao called over, spinning a white ball on her index finger. The fox girl was in an orange bikini with flower patterns, "How about we exercise our youths with some good old fashioned volleyball?"
Everyone one else immediately stopped what they were doing and looked over to her. "Eh, volleyball?" Mizore blinked as she was enjoying an ice cream bar. "Why the sudden..."
"Why should you be asking, Mizore-chan?" Qiao grinned as she gripped the ball on her hands, her ear parts wiggling on her head, "It's the summertime, you know. It's precisely because our souls are restless and blemished that we should use sports to deepen our bond of friendship!"
"Volleyball? I think I've heard of it before," Usha said, twirling her hair in her finger. "I only need to land the ball into the opponent's court, right?"
"You never heard of beach volleyball?" Moka asked, surprised.
"Hehe," Kurumu grinned impishly, "Well basicly you shout 'potemkin' during the serve and 'gal undo' when someone scores."
"I'm no expert but I don't believe that's how the game is played," Mizore deadpanned.
"Come on, Mizore-chan," Qiao slung her arm around Mizore's shoulders, pulling her close. "It's fun! I mean, we're at the beach! We're supposed to play beach volleyball! It's a staple! It's tradition."
"It does sound fun," remarked Shinichi.
"Sorry, boys. But this is girls only!" Qiao wagged her finger.
"How come?" Netto asked, but he knew Qiao had her plan.
"The MVP gets to share a room with the boy of their choice!" With that one sentence, every girl looked determined to play. If there was one thing Qiao knew to do well, it was motivate a group of people to do something she wanted to do.
"Share a room with Shinichi..." Kurumu began to drool as she imagined what she and Shinichi would be doing in a room together. It definitely wouldn't involved much sleep, that was for sure.
"...A room with Shinichi..." Mizore blushed cutely as she imagined sleeping with Shinichi. Then it turned into a fantasy where they slept with their daughter sleeping between them like a family.
"A room with Shinichi?" Moka whispered, blushing lightly. The only people she had ever slept with were Kokoa, Aqua, and her mother. The thought of sleeping with a boy for the first time. The thought of it made her cheeks grow warm.
"A room alone with Netto..." Kiko smiled to herself, liking her lips. She already had plans to how to spend her time alone with Netto. All the games she wanted to play with him. She couldn't wait to make him squirm.
Usha didn't say anything, but what she was thinking was clear anyway. She was a little guilty about the last time she tried to force him into her bed, but at least now it would be consensual. It was her chance to show her the pleasures she could give him and be the first to claim his virginity as her own.
"Yep, yep," Fran smiled brightly, "So it looks like we're all in agreement. So, there are six of you meaning that there will be three on each team. Moka, Kurumu, and Mizore will be Team A, and Qiao Kiko and Usha will be Team B. Does that sound fair?"
"I'm cool with that," Qiao nodded.
"No objections here," Kurumu added.
"In that case, let the games begin!"
The volleyball net was set up and the girls took their positions on either side. Shinichi and Netto sat behind the scoring post and Fran blew on a whistle to signal the start of the game. Kurumu was the first to start, "Ufufu. Don't even think you can catch my serve!" Kurumu grinned, set up the ball for a toss. "I was the volleyball champ back at my old school!"
Usha uttered, "Potemkin."
The word seem to have a negative effect on Kurumu, as it caught her off guard enough to send a weak float over to the opposing side. Usha bounced the ball off her arms very easily, setting it up for a return.
"Nice, Usha!" Kiko grinned as Qiao passed the ball to her. "Now for the spike!" she jumped up into the air punched the ball downward. Mizore quickly intercepted in the form of a dig. The ball bounced off her arms... and straight into Kurumu's face. The poor girl was knocked down onto the sand as soon as the ball bounced off her face. Moka watched with her eyes bulging out as she fell down. The moment of distraction caused the ball to touch the sand unopposed. Fran blew on the whistle, signalling that Team B had scored.
"I'm just getting warmed up!" Kiko shouted, spiking the ball over the net again. Mizore blocked the assault again, and...
BAM!
...Again to smashed into Kurumu's face, the succubus making gagging noises from the hit.
BAM!
Another hit to the face and Kurumu was nearly knocked off her feet.
BAM!
Another hit and Kurumu was sent to the ground. She lied there only for a short second before she snarled and stomped towards Mizore.
"You did that on purpose!" accused Kurumu.
"Ah. You could tell?" Mizore asked, unashamed.
"Why you..." she growled. Suddenly, the sound of laughter filled the air and she spun around, "Who's laughing!" And then she saw. It was Shinichi who was laughing. "Shinichi...!" Kurumu whined.
"Sorry! Sorry!" he apologized in the midst of laughter. "It was just too funny!"
Fran smiled at the sight of him laughing naturally. He wasn't forcing himself. This was genuine. It looks like coming here was a good idea after all.
"Hey, look alive Kurumu-chan! The ball's still in play!" Shinichi pointed.
"Damn it!" Kurumu shouted, leaping up into the air. "MVP- GYAAAAAA...!"
The reason for her outburst? Usha had quite suddenly appeared in front of her and was waving her arms around in a hypnotic state. The ball bounced off the stunned Kurumu's head and was falling onto their side of the field. Not about to let the chance pass up, Mizore bolted and slapped the ball up into the air just seconds before it hit the ground.
"Perfect positioning!" Qiao grinned, jumping up into the air. "Haha! Eat this!" she laughed, spiking the ball down.
"Ah, it's headed right for me!" Moka gasped. She pulled her hands up together and caught the ball. The impact actually pushed her back with her feet digging into the sand. The force of the impact actually bounced the ball out of her hands, recoiling her onto the sand, and up into the air.
"Oops, looks like I used a little too much force," Qiao smiled meekly, rubbing the back of her head.
"Where's it going? Where's it going?" Moka asked frantically, getting up and trying to look for where the ball was going to land. Her eyes caught the ball just starting to be pulled down by the gravity. She then pictured an imaginary arrow which directed the balls direction of descent. It's designation? Straight towards Shinichi's head. And he was aware of this too, as his eyes was also aimed at the ball. "Come back here!" Moka shouted, sprinting towards the ball. The sudden burst of speed actually caused the sand to kick up behind her, all thanks to her vampiric physiology. Shinichi's antenna ahoge twitched, as if reacting to her approach. Sure enough, he turned his attention to her. His eyes widened and he held his hands up panicly.
"Moka! Hey! You're moving too fast!" he cried.
Moka gasped in shock before she skid to stop herself. The sand trail behind her kicked up higher and the the girl was unable to come to halt. Eventually...
CRASH!
There was a loud boom from the impact, blasting the sand around both the players and spectators. There was coughing and gag sounds as the dust slowly managed to clear out. Shinichi groaned slightly, coughing the sand out of his lungs. He looked down at Moka, how was slightly dazed from her cannonball routine. "Moka-chan? Are you all right?"
"I... think so," Moka coughed slightly.
"Here," he instructed, holding out his hand, "I'll help you up." Moka nodded as she reached out for his hand. He went to take his hand, but the dust went into his eye. He missed by an inch and instead grabbed her rosary.
SNAP
"What the?" Shinichi gasped, a familiar flash of blood red light invading his vision. "Ah hell no! Now of all times?"
The transformation didn't go unnoticed as everyone present watched as the vampire went from cute and cuddly to dangerous and sensual just like that. Once the light died out, Inner stood in Outer's place and they could see that her figure filled her swimsuit even more now that she was in her true form. "Oh my," Fran uttered, "It looks like things have just escalated quickly."
"Uh... hi, Moka-san," Shinichi greeted meekly, still aware that she was still sour about the defeat from the other night. "How are you feeling?"
Inner Moka scoffed at him, "Save it." She turned her attention to the playing field and elegantly marched towards it. "I don't care much about sports, and I definitely don't care about being an MVP," she said coolly. A determined glare emitted from her as she pointed, "However, I'll let you all know right now that I don't intend to lose in any challenge!"
"Oh yeah... now we're talking," Qiao grinned, a golden aura appearing around her. A flash of golden light surrounded her, signalling her transformation into her hybrid kitsune form, "Come on guys! This is a closed off beach anyway so there's no need for us to hold back!" she shouted, her ears and tail out in their full glory.
Shinichi asked Fran, "Um, shouldn't you make sure they don't go out of control?"
"Oh, Shinichi. Where would the fun in that be?" Fran giggled.
"I was afraid you'd say that," he muttered. If something became abnormal, you can bet that Fran would enjoy it. He looked fearfully at the auras of the girls playing volleyball and realized that the ball may not survive the rest of the game. He just hoped the girls didn't kill each other.
The volleyball game became even more intense. While she claimed she didn't care about becoming MVP, Inner Moka's competitiveness was really showing. However, she also didn't believe in teamwork nor did she care about her teammates. In fact, it seemed that Inner Moka was competing not just against the opposing team but her teammates as well.
Kurumu and Mizore, not wanting to lose out on becoming MVP and winning their prize, decided to up the ante. They assumed their true forms as well to boost their power. Usha and Kiko took this as a challenge and assumed their true forms as well.
As for Fran, she didn't do anything to stop this. Rather, she was taking notes about Youkai. To her, Youkai were just another specimen to study like animals and humans. She was just so interested in not just their physiology, but their psychology as well. Fran noted that female Youkai could become competitively aggressive in regards to seeking out a mate. While a blunt assessment, she was not completely wrong either. In fact, she knew about Mizore and Kurumu's attempts to win Shinichi's heart and was interested to see what kind of child would be born from either union.
Shinichi was more worried about what kind of damage the beach would sustain after this intense volleyball match. Also, the fact that Inner Moka was out, it meant she was going to speak to him about Aoi. He wasn't looking forward to that conversation, at least not anytime soon. Inner Moka wasn't the most sympathetic about Aoi's situation, only seeing him as a threat to her superiority. He had broken her legs and she could not forgive that. She saw Aoi as an enemy that must defeated but Shinichi only saw a boy who was only lashing out after suffering in misery for so long.
Netto in the meantime watched with anxiety as the girls played the game with a newfound ferocity. He had a feeling that the field was going to get blown up if things continued as they were. Girls were always very competitive as far as he knew, especially when it came to boys. He was just glad that the weren't going to punch out boys anytime soon. That'd be bad.
"Now then, let's end this in one fell swoop!" Kiko shouted, using an energy whip to swing the ball up into the air.
"Understood!" Usha nodded, flying upward and spiking the ball down, causing it to shine in purple demonic energy.
"Like hell I'd let you!" Kurumu snapped, kicking the ball back with her demonically enhanced leg.
"Hup!" Mizore added, adding her own attack power to the ball with an ice bat.
"Oh no you don't!" Qiao shouted, catching and returning the ball with her tails.
Why did Shinichi get the feeling he should run away as far as his legs could take him?
"You know, aside from the impending doom we're about to experience, we're kinda lucky," Netto suddenly spoke.
"In what way?" Shinichi asked skeptically.
"We're the only guys here with a bunch of hot babes," Netto clarified.
"Yeah, now that you mention it, we kinda are," Shinichi admitted. The girls were incredibly attractive and were sexy too in their choice of swimwear. It made sense why the boys in class were envious of them. "Of course, they're still a big handful."
"Girls usually are. Qiao actually is trying to convince me to have a harem," Netto claimed.
Shinichi blinked, "She is?" As far as he knew, girls were possessive and unwilling to share. Or, was that just the girls who were attracted to him?
"She's succeeding too," Netto added. "Our gramps was always traveling around so we only had each other since we were always with him. Qiao thinks having more girls to play with would be fun."
"Is that all that matters? Fun? I mean, shouldn't there be more meaning to a relationship?" Shinichi asked.
"Of course," Netto nodded. "That's why she almost never goes a day without saying she loves me."
"You're childhood friends. You told me that before. What's it like?" Shinichi asked.
"Well, you can say we grew up like brother and sister at first," Netto began, "But overtime we began to feel more than that for each other. Actually, Qiao was the first to be adopted by gramps. He picked me up sometime later. Gramps once said that she used to be very quiet and reserved before I came into her life. After we were introduced, she became much happier. I guess you could say that she loves me for being the first friend she ever had."
"Sounds like a cute love story," Shinichi commented, smiling.
"It is, don't you think?" Netto smiled back.
"Alright now," Inner Moka said, the volleyball in her hand, "It's time to put an end to this little game." She crouched down and jumped high into the air, the sand kicking up from her volocity. As she was high up into the air, she reared the ball back and channelled her vampiric energy, a crimson wave engulfing the ball. And if that wasn't enough, day turned to night as a blood red moon appeared in the sky, covering the beach with its ominous light. Everyone down below was soon alerted as they could feel her power growing with each second.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" Kiko shouted, shielding her face.
"That's too much power than necessary!" Mizore added.
"Like I give a damn!" Inner Moka grinned menacingly, her eyes flashing, "Know your place!" And she pitched the ball HARD, the speeding projectile flying like a crimson comet.
"SHIT! HIT THE DIRT! FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Shinichi yelled. His warning came a little too late as the ball struck, resulting in a magnificent explosion that covered half the beach.
And so, the bloody and gruesome battle between the Youkai girls met an explosive conclusion.
The sun was starting to set and the gang was presented with such a beautiful view. However, they didn't really have the opportunity to enjoy it. Thanks to Inner Moka's meteor shot, there was now a sizable crater in the middle of the beach. Shinichi was hunched over the scoring post, his face dusty and his twin ahoge dropped down his face, "I can't... believe... she did that..." he coughed weakly.
"I really... don't think... she knows the meaning of... holding back..." Netto added hoarsely, face down the sand just meters away from Shinichi.
"She did go a little overboard, I'll agree," Fran said, sitting on one of the overturned benches. She wasn't even phased by the explosion. "But I always did wanted a trench on this beach. I guess I'll just work with what I have."
"...Unbelieveable," Shinichi sighed.
Kurumu, Mizore, Kiko, and Usha were all knocked down in a corner of the crater, dazed from the energy blast. The only ones who remained were Inner Moka and Qiao, both standing on opposite ends of the net which amazingly didn't look damaged at all. "Oh? So you managed to withstand my spike?" Inner Moka smirked, her hand on her hip. "As expected of the member of the kitsune race."
"Hehe," Qiao grinned, whirling her arm around, "You vampires aren't all talk either. No wonder other monsters are so afraid of you."
"So, shall we continue?"
"I'm having fun. Take your best shot!"
Everyone could only groan. Kurumu spoke up, "...They...are absolute...monsters."
Elsewhere, there was a field of sunflowers that looked completely untouched by man. The field seemed to go on for miles. Within the field there was a wooden cottage that appeared to be old and was on the verge of falling apart. However, one soul remained inside. This soul, a cloaked figure sitting in a chair suddenly perked her head up, "This aura... it can't be..." she muttered softly. The sounds of feet running across wooden floors echoed through a door. Instantly, the door before before the figure swung open.
Standing between the doorway was a young woman, apparently in her early to mid twenties. She was dressed in a gothic outfit that composed of a pink corset and a long black skirt. She had long dark hair styled with two ponytails coming from the sides of her head with bright red eyes. She also had a worried look on her face. "Master! Did you feel that just now?"
"Indeed I did, Ruby," the old woman nodded. "It seems that we have ourselves some unwanted guests in our little territory. This could prove problematic for our plans."
"What should we do then?" Ruby asked. "Do you wish for me to drive them away?"
"No... not yet," the woman denied. "If this aura is indeed that of a vampire's, we could be doing more harm than good to ourselves and those around us. Instead, I want you to scope them out and gather information. See what these intruders have come here for. Report back to me and I will think about what we can do next."
Ruby bowed, "Understood... master."
"Good girl," the old woman nodded. "Don't worry. All our dreams will soon come true."
"I know."
