Black smirked, raising a fist then flaring his fingers. Jim and the two red shirts flew back, hitting the walls, and were plastered to them. Jim felt shock course through him as Black stood, raising an eyebrow with a smirk, and walked around the desk to where Bones and Spock still stood. Harry gently brushed and knuckle down Bones' cheek. Bones leaned into the touch. Then, Harry placed a gentle hand on Spock's shoulder, which caused Spock's stoic face to split into a small smile. Black then turned his attention to Jim.

"I've been planning this for some time, Captain," Black commented, almost casually. He walked toward Jim, causing Jim to tense in fear. "Are you scared, Jim?"

Jim met his eyes defiantly, despite his fear, and glared, "You are just like Khan, you know that? You're some kind of fucking piece of work."

Black smirked harder, "I told you Jim, I'm nothing like Khan." He tangled his hands into Jim's blond hair, massaging and pulling gently, before leaning in and whispering, "I'm so much better."

Jim felt the fear from earlier become horror, as Black let him go and raised both hands toward the ensigns that were being held to either side of Jim. With a bright green flash, both slumped to the ground, joining the mass of dead bodies. Jim looked to Spock and Bones. Bones looked slightly saddened, but didn't try to stop him. Spock's face was impassive, as always.

"I don't understand how you can be okay with this, Spock," Jim ground out through clenched teeth, as they were led to storage room.

The seventy-two tubes lay in two neat rows. Jim felt trepidation in his stomach, as though the augments would awaken, simultaneously, and jump out to kill them all. Black glanced around the room, briefly, before walking up to the near middle of the room and stopping. He turned to the right, walked up to one of the tubes. He looked inside, before nodding.

"Spock, I'm serious," Jim hissed. The two officers were flanking him, keeping him in place with handcuffs, although it was really Black who was doing it. He had placed some kind of spell on him, although what was uncertain, it kept him from being able to do anything but walk and talk.

"As am I, Kirk," Spock said. "I have joined Harry for a reason. Have you not thought of why?"

"Leave him, Spock," Harry said over his shoulder, placing his hand on the tube. "He'll find out soon enough."

Spock nodded, though Harry wasn't looking. Jim glared harder at Black. The Enterprise had to know something was wrong. They hadn't checked in in an hour. A rescue party, or something, had to be on its way. Uhura must have sent for help. With every on duty admiral having just been killed, they must have called for help. Now, Jim observed as Harry appeared to be focusing.

Suddenly, the tube hissed. It began to open, slowly. Black stepped back, his hands crossed over him. His smirk was firmly in place as a groggy hand raised from the tube, grasped the side, and pulled up a body. The dark, slicked back, black hair was still perfectly in place as Khan looked around at the small group of people, and Jim had to admit, it was insulting that the man could be that pretty despite having just been asleep for a year and a half.

"Harry Potter," Khan hissed, his face perfectly cold as he assessed the General. He looked him up and down, almost lazily, before meeting his eyes. "I'd heard you were dead."

"The news of my death was greatly exaggerated." Harry shot back, "Or, perhaps, your hearing is starting to fail."

Khan jumped out of the tube, a smirk appearing on his face. "Ah, you know how old age is."

Harry shook his head, turning back to Spock and Bones. He noted the confused look on Jim's face. Jim noted the lack formality between the two. He noticed how the two looked at each other with practiced ease, the joking, even teasing. He observed how close the two stood to one another; their shoulders were brushing, as were their hands, and their gazes lingered. Jim felt his eyes widen.

"I became his… obsession." Black had even admitted it. Khan and Black were lovers. He'd betrayed his people for Khan. And when they had found out, they had captured Black, and sentenced him to die at the hands of a star in another galaxy. The only thing that Kirk couldn't explain was the reason for the clock tattoo. But, did it really matter?

Jim felt disgust contort his face as he looked between the two men before him. Black was nothing like Khan. He wasn't better, he was worse. He had betrayed his own people for this psychopath. Jim couldn't feel more betrayed himself. He'd started to like Harry. Almost. Then, he went and somehow convinced his best friend and his first officer to betray him. That betrayal hurt more than finding out that Black was fucking crazy. He glared at the Black.

"Problem, Captain," Khan asked, walking forward, his bulk intimidating.

Jim glared between the two, shaking his head, "Black betrayed his people, for a fuck with a dictator. It's… pathetic." He smirked when he saw rage begin to fill Khan's eyes.

"Jim," Bones said, cautiously, "I'd stop if I were you."

"Why, Bones," Jim said, glaring harder. "So, Harry is a whore. I should've known, he seemed way too interested in you anyway." He knew it was a low blow, but Jim couldn't help but jab at any of Bones' insecurities. He felt his friend stiffen next to him.

"You know what? Fuck you," Bones spat, moving away from him. "I hope he beats your fucking smug skull in." He then turned to Khan, "Khan, please punch him especially hard for me."

Despite the rage, Khan smirked and nodded to the doctor. He noted that the Vulcan also moved away from Jim, although he was a bit more reluctant. However, he glanced over to Jim, saw that his former friend was angry and bitter, before nodding to Khan and moving away. He walked over to where Black and McCoy were now standing.

Jim brought his attention to the now rage filled augment. He knew that Khan could, and probably would, kill him with only his hands. While Jim was angry, he was also realizing that maybe he was also a little stupid. Fuck, he watched as Khan began to walk toward him with calculated steps, he was really counting on Star Fleet crashing this party.

He needed to stall. "So, how long were you and Black fucking before the opposite side found out? Is that why they raided the palace?" He stepped back, knowing that while he had no way of defending himself, he could maybe at least dodge attacks. He was careful to move back in a straight line as Khan advanced. "Tell me, Khan," he said, chancing a glance behind him, "is Harry as tight as his ass makes it look?"

With a roar of anger, Khan lunged, bringing his knee into Jims gut. Jim felt at least of his ribs break, the air get completely forced from his lungs, and he could taste blood in his mouth. Unable to react, Khan brought his fist up and connected it to his jaw. Jim flew back, landing on his back on the concrete. He jarred his head on impact, seeing stars and dark spots.

"Khan, wait," Black suddenly called, and Jim heard Khan freeze. "Maybe we should tell him. He might regret his comments, then."

"We have nothing to prove, Harry," Khan growled back.

"Khan," Harry warned. Jim heard him walk forward, and he felt himself rise up by an invisible force.

Jim hadn't been hit in the eyes, so they were only slightly blurred as he tried to focus on the two men before him. He squinted, trying to sharpen his sight as he looked between the two ancient men.

"W-ha-" He tried to say, before steeling himself through the pain. "What?"

"Look hard at us, Jim," Harry said, bringing his hand to the side of Jim's face. Jim felt warmth spread from Harry's hand and his vision cleared and the pain in his head disappeared.

His eyes took in both men. They stood there, completely in control of their features, staring intently at the captain. He didn't understand. "What am I supposed to be seeing?"

"Look harder, Jim," Harry pressed, raising an eyebrow.

Jim looked back and forth between the two. They both had black hair, though Khan's was slicked back. Both had high, sharper than knives, cheekbones and aristocratic noses, though Khan's was more pronounced. They were both very pale. Both had plush lips, which looked soft, despite the evil they both possessed. Both had rounded chins…. Holy shit.

This whole thing; Khan's obsession with Harry; Harry's insisting that he wasn't like Khan and Khan's need to protect his family. Harry's deception. The reason why Spock and Bones were so quick to join Harry. They understood. What it meant for people to loose other people. Spock lost his whole planet, along with his mother. Bones had lost his daughter to his ex-wife. Khan and Harry. They were brothers.
