Ding dong.

The pink-haired gym leader opened the door to see the suit-wearing gym officials standing before her. "Hi, gonna assume your here to check out the gym?" she asked, cheerfully.

They nodded, rolling their eyes behind their pitch-black sunglasses.

"Okay. Well let's start with the battling arena." Whitney lead the way, preying that her boyfriend didn't wake up any time soon.

The sunset was beautiful, just prefect for what he wanted to ask. He picnic was almost finished, just the cake was left to eat. The man sucked up the courage; he was going to do this, and nothing was in his way. He looked to the woman beside him, bubble-gum pink hair, and matching eyes. It was now or never.

"Hey Whitney, I need to ask you something."

She turned to him, her eyes reflecting the colours in the sky, "Sure, what is it Ethan?" Whitney's angelic voice asked him to continue.

Ethan got down on one knee, and pulled out a black velvet jewellery box. "Whitney Akane, will you give me the honour of being my wife?" he managed with least bit of stuttering.

Her eyes shined with tears, either good or bad, Ethan didn't know. "Oh Ethan, the answer is-"

The young midnight-haired man, known as Ethan, awoke from a pleasant dream. He groggily sat up and rubbed his eyes, wondering what his girlfriend made for breakfast. He turned his line of sight to the night-stand, 09:13.

"Good, no visitors so I don't have to get dressed." He stood up straightening his pyjama shirt; his pyjamas were a Green Day t-shirt and grey shorts.

He walked out the door, to see his girlfriend glaring at him and gym inspectors behind her. "I choose the wrong time to get out of bed, didn't I?" he asked, looking wearily at the men in suits.

Whitney quickly dropped her glare as she thought of a plan. "What's Ethan doing here? All relationships must be known by the council," one of the inspectors said, looking curiosity between the two.

"No, no. No relationship, Ethan was visiting, but the Pokémon Centre was full; so he stayed here," Whitney said cheerfully, covering her tracks.

The inspectors glanced at one another, before returning to the man. "Would you like us to see if a room is available now?" they asked, somewhat surprised by the answer.

"Ahh, no! No you can't!" the gym-leader exclaimed.

"Why not?" they asked simultaneously, rather annoyed -something was being kept from them-.

Whitney's eyes widened. "Y-you can't, b-because that was a l-lie," she stuttered, blushing madly. She looked over at Ethan, his cheeks were red too.

One of the men in black annoyed and angered, growled. "I really hate secrets being kept from me." The one on the left seethed.

"The manager will not be pleased by this," the seconded commented before continuing. "I would suggest that you give in to the demands of Reguardo. He is not the best at controlling his actions, and it is highly likely that one of you will end up in the emergency room." His serious expression notifying them that, he was not messing around.

"We better give in." Whitney sighed, she turned to Ethan, silently telling him to reveal their secret.

"Whitney and I are a couple," Ethan answered quietly, watching Reguardo's movements closely. When he made no sign of moving he continued, "And have been for 3 months."

Reguardo backed off and nodded to his fellow companion, "We will tell the boss. Thank you for your co-operation." The other thanked, he bowed to them, and led Reguardo out the door.

There was a moment of silence, before Ethan spoke up, "Well, that's one way to start your morning."

Whitney chuckled at his attempt of humour. "How about breakfast?"

"I was just thinking that."

The two walked off hand in hand towards the kitchen.
