Sorry for the delay in replies. Life happens and all.
After a few stellar Castle episodes, and some not to shabby Blue Bloods episodes, here is another chapter in one of the few crossovers with those two shows I've seen. I like to think it's not so bad. What do you all think? Reviews are welcome and always appreciated.
Cheers.
Just What Happened in that Alley Boys?
"He said Get Out of the Car, Dumbass!"
35 minutes later
"… Castle and Ryan went to the motel we had our guy stashed in. They still haven't told me everything. Somehow Ryan was knocked out, Tyson got the drop on Castle, tied Rick to a chair." Kate was saying.
"How did he know it was Tyson?" Erin asked. Her arm still protectively wrapped around her daughter's waist.
"He didn't at first," Kate started to say. "Tyson had him at gunpoint, made Rick call his mother to 'say goodbye'."
Kate paused, lifting a hand to wipe away tears starting to form in her eyes.
"Tyson left him alive." Kate said.
The radio crackled to life again, briefly.
"What the hell was that? Who uses an arrow?"
Erin, Kate and Nicky looked to the radio.
"Captain," Kate said, trying to get Miller's attention. "What the hell is going on?"
"Don't know," Miller replied looking over at the three from his place talking with Sgt Finney. "Sergeant, see if you can find out what is happening with this op? The Commissioner wasn't too pleased when he called. And he wants updates. I don't want him to think we're standing around with a collective thumb up our asses."
"Yes, sir," Finney said then went off to the ambulance to check on his wife Grace.
Miller walked back over to the squad car, and the three ladies leaning against it.
"Either of you heard of a bar called O'Realley's?" Miller asked.
"No," Kate said. "Should I have?"
"I know it," Erin said.
"Westie hang out?" Miller asked.
"No," Erin replied. "O'Rourke won't allow Westie business there. Not for years. Not since…"
"Not since?" Miller asked, leaning in towards Erin. "When?"
"16 years or so, I think."
"Why?"
"It's a family thing, the last I heard," said Erin.
"OCCB told me a while back, when I had a case involving a Westie member, that they thought O'Rourke had another place, a bar that was kept strictly legit." Kate interjected. "Think this is it?"
"Patrol said that your man Rogers, Bosco and Danny Reagan drove the suspects to the alley behind O'Realley's. The Anti-Crime member who went with Reagan is who you heard on the radio—"
The captain was interrupted by the rush of news reporters and camera men going to the street, followed by cheering students.
Kate and Erin looked around for what was causing the commotion.
Coming up the street they saw two patrol cars, light flashing; a blue Chevy Impala, a black Buick Grand National, and 5 mounted police, the first one of whom was pulling a man, handcuffed, behind them. Sgt. Boscorelli, was walking beside the prisoner.
"You make a move again scumbag, this horse is just going to be dragging you," Bosco said loudly.
"What the hell is that?" Captain Miller said, rubbing his face.
Kate was grinning. "Looks like a perp walk, sir. Old school style."
Miller handed his phone to Erin, still looking at the approaching circus coming to the school steps. "Stay here would you. Answer the phone when your dad calls. Tell him I'm busy."
"O- okay," Erin said, herself starting to laugh quietly at the sight before them. "He won't like that."
"Tough," Miller said back over his shoulder as he started across the front steps of the school to the mounted unit and Bosco.
Taking the reins of the first horse, he patted the horse's neck. Hearing a car door open and close he looked around the back of the horse. He saw Rick Castle reaching in the back of his car, pulling out a shopping bag.
Castle walked over to Bosco, bag in hand. "Everything sorted out here?"
"We're good," Bosco replied. "I think I'll take him for a frog march past the kiddies, then throw him in back of one of the cars."
"Well," Castle said, taking notice of the crowd of students, and the TV cameras. "You have fun with that. I've got some snacks to deliver."
With that Castle walked up alongside the mounted units, offering up carrots to the patrolmen and their horses.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Castle stopped.
"Feeding them," he replied.
"Back!" Captain Miller said sternly, pointing to the cars behind them. "Move. And Bosco, you too after you take care of that guy."
"Sure thing Boss," Bosco said, while pushing the cuffed gang member in front of him.
Castle looked over the captain's shoulder, he saw Kate with Nicky beside her, and Erin pacing a telephone held to her ear.
"Did you hear me, Ricky?" Miller asked.
"I was," Castle started to say. "Just gonna…" he pointed to the girls.
The captain shook his head, and pointed back to the 4 cars behind the horses.
"But I just need to—"
"Now," Miller said.
Castle lowered his head, and then looked back to Kate. He gestured, turning, back towards the cars, mouthing that he would be a minute.
Miller placed his arm around Castle's shoulders and lead him back to the cars, where he met Ryan and the two Reagans.
"Do you have any idea how pissed dad's gonna be?" Danny was half shouting at Jamie.
"Boys?" the captain asked.
The Danny and Jamie both looked over to him.
"Shut up."
"He's squared away, Cap," Bosco reported as he walked up to stand next to Detective Ryan.
"Good," John Miller said. Brushing a hand through his hair, and looking at each one of them, he looked to the ground. "Now,"
He let the silence hold for a full minute.
"Does anyone want to tell me what the fuck happened in that alley?"
