Here it is...I have to say: Not very good at all... you see, I forgot about it until my Sunday morning so it's not been thought about. Not much advanceshippy moments... a bad chapter in my opinion but oh well...

Chapter 11

'Hi there May!' Drew said loudly as a brunette coordinator stepped out from the elevator in a simple pink T-shirt and tight blue jeans, in her arms were a green jacket and an annoyed looking feline pokemon.

'Hi Drew' May replied as politely as she can, Eevee glared at the green hair coordinator with contempt. Drew stared back at the feline pokemon and patted its head making it snarl.

'Eevee quit it…' May snapped at the pokemon, 'You understand that I don't mean it right?' She whispered into the feline pokemon's ear.

'Vee' Eevee nodded lightly,

'So should we go?' Drew asked, 'And you could drop Eevee off with Nurse Joy…'

'I think I'll take Eevee with me' May asserted,

'Oh...alright…let's go then.' Drew reached for May's hands. The brunette coordinator quickly shoved her free hand into her pocket and pretended not to notice what Drew was doing.

'So where are we going?' May enquired while giving Drew an innocent smile, Eevee shook slightly as it chuckled silently.

'I was thinking the cinema' Drew replied as he withdrew his hand and placed it by his side. 'I heard that there was a really good horror film on' He smirked.

H..horror…why?...

'Er great I'd like to see a movie…' May said solemnly as she followed Drew out the pokemon centre.

After a few minutes of walking in absolute silence, the two coordinators arrived at the cinema. Drew strolled up to the counter and bought two tickets. He walked back over to May and grinned, May smiled back.

I'm going to have so many nightmares after this...just like last time I saw a horror film…Ash was with me last time…

The two coordinators stepped into the dark screening room and pick a couple of seats near the back. Not many people came into the movie, a group of three sat on the front row while another couple sat in the middle. May sighed heavily.

'What's wrong May?' Drew whispered softly in her ears causing the brunette coordinator to leap off her seat and scream.

'Sorry you just surprised me…' May said quietly as she sat down. The adverts soon stopped and the movie began. Help me…….

Flashback

'So May what should we do tonight?' Max asked while the group ate in a pokemon centre. May had just received her fourth contest ribbon and they had to have a celebration.

'I don't really know…' The coordinator replied,

'Let's go see a movie!' a raven hair trainer announced, May's ears shot up at the boy's vibrant voice.

'Great idea Ash!' the coordinator replied with enthusiasm,

Later that night

'Hello there beautiful, would you be so kind as to sell us four tickets to "The Ring of Rituals"…I'm Brock by the way…may I have your name?'

'Er…erm…h…here are the tickets…that would be twenty-two poke-dollars' The terrified woman said while a big sweat dropped from her head.

Ash, May and Max stood by the popcorn stand. It was a cold night and everybody wore thick coats. The warmth of the popcorn stand attracted many people to stand near it. May edged herself closer to Ash without realising what she was doing.

'Er…May?' Ash muttered, 'Are you okay?'

May snapped back into reality and leapt away from the trainer, 'Sorry…I didn't know…Erm…I think I'm just…excited about the movie…y'know…' May winked, hoping that the trainer didn't think she was wanting to be close by his side.

'Er…yea…I guess….' Ash replied, Brock walked over to them with four tickets in his hands.

'So what are we watching?' May asked,

'Weren't you listening before? It's an awesome horror film that just came out!' Max replied with a hint of annoyance,

'H…horror?' May asked,

'Er…yea…are you alright with horrors?' the trainer asked, May nodded quickly,

'Let's get going then…' Ash said as he walked towards the screening room. Brock followed the trainer and May walked with Max towards the dark room.

'Max…you know I get nightmares after horrors…' May said to her brother,

'You'll be fine May…after all they're not real…' Max replied as he ran up to Ash. The group soon arrived in the room with the giant screen and the adverts were on. The four of them chose a few seats on the third row from the front. Ash sat on Brock's left, May sat by Ash, and Max sat by himself on the row in front of them. The adverts soon became commercials which soon became the actual film.

To May's relieve, the movie so far consisted of a group of middle aged people driving in the dark. The brunette coordinator relaxed into her chair. She glanced over to see Ash concentrating on the film and she smiled.

May was able to keep herself from screaming when the first ghost appeared, she sat stiffly in her seat and gripped the handle bars tightly. She whimpered quietly and Ash looked at her. She blushed.

'Are you okay May?' Ash whispered as he leant close to her and whispered gently in her ears causing the brunette's face to burn.

'N..no…..' she whimpered, 'I'm scared….' she grabbed the trainer's arm tightly. Instead of pulling his arm away, May felt another arm extend behind her back and land on her waist. The arm pulled her nearer to the raven hair trainer.

'It's okay May, don't be scared,' Ash said softly, the voice of her friend gave May comfort and courage. 'I'm here for you'

End Flashback

May brought her attention back to the cinema to see a ghostly white face staring at her. May whimpered quietly and held Eevee closer to her.

Do not leap into Drew…I'm scared, ASH WHERE ARE YOU?!

'Atchoo…' A raven hair trainer sneezed loudly as him and his friends walked towards a small town which can provide them with access to Hearthome City.

'You okay Ash? You're not cold are you?' Dawn asked, Piplup walked by her side, the penguin pokemon had finally mastered its bubble beam after hours of training.

'I'm fine…' Ash replied. Many trainers have asked Ash for a battle over the last few days and the raven hair trainer had won them all. Even Dawn was challenged to a few battles and even she had won over half of those challenges. The group was in a good mood as they headed for the next town.

'Pikapi!' the yellow mouse suddenly yelled as it pointed towards a bunch of bushes near the group of three. Ash looked towards the bushes and saw a round egg shaped object in them. The trainer ran over to it and picked it up, it was a pokemon egg.

'Wow…here's something you don't see everyday…' Ash muttered as Brock and Dawn walked up to him curious to see what he was holding.

'Is that an egg?' Brock asked,

'Yea…Pikachu found it…' Ash replied, the egg in his hands was blue with small patches of red. 'Do you think it belongs to anyone?'

'I doubt it; we haven't seen anyone around for miles…' Dawn replied, 'What pokemon's in the egg?'

'No one knows…' Brock answered, 'it is always a mystery'

'Wow…' Dawn muttered, 'So I guess the egg belongs to Ash then.'

'Yea…I guess so…' Brock said, 'It wouldn't be Ash's first egg though.' he smiled at the surprised trainer.

After a few minutes, the group decided to set off again, Ash held his new found egg caringly. The new egg only improved the mood of the group. Dawn and Brock started to discuss what pokemon this mysterious egg could contain.

'Did you like the movie May?' Drew asked the brunette coordinator as they stepped out of the cinema.

After the flashback, May had busied herself with Eevee for the rest of the film. When she felt that something bad was going to happen, she would go to the toilet and stay outside for up to ten minutes before returning to the movie.

'Erm Yea…I thought it was really really good.' May replied, her stomach grumbled loudly, 'Any chance we could go eat something?'

'Sure! Let's go for ramen…do you like ramen?' Drew asked, May's ears picked up the word "ramen" and her stomach growled again.

'Ramen's great let's go! C'mon Eevee I'll race you there!' May dropped Eevee and the two of them ran off. Drew stared at them with a dropped jaw.

Er…What about me… The green hair coordinator grumpily followed them. Not wanting to loose his precious sense of pride, Drew did not run.

The ramen shop gave off a delicious aroma that made the brunette coordinator's stomach growl constantly, May ordered two bowls of chicken ramen for herself and Eevee before realising that Drew wasn't there.

'Erm Eevee? Where's Drew?' May asked the feline pokemon, Eevee pointed towards a boy walking slowly towards them. The boy had an angry look on his face.

ooops….May thought, 'Hey Drew…I'm sorry about that….'

The green hair coordinator stared at May before sitting down opposite her, his angry expression quickly changed into a kind one, 'It's alright May, should we order?'

'Er…we already did…' May replied, 'sorry…' she added quietly looking down at the table.

After dinner, Drew escorted May back to the pokemon centre,

Nothing went to plan…Drew thought solemnly,

The two coordinators soon arrived at the brightly lit Pokemon Centre,

'Thanks for tonight Drew, I had a good time.' May said as they arrived at the pokemon centre. May could tell that her rival was not happy.

And I really couldn't care less…

'See you around May' Drew said with gritted teeth as he walked off. May quickly ran back inside the pokemon centre and fell onto the couch laughing. She knew what she was doing was extremely rude but she could not help herself. 'Oh wow…I haven't laughed that hard since…forever…' she thought aloud before picking up Eevee and heading up the stairs to her luxurious bedroom.

'Ee..veevee ee' The feline pokemon said as May opened the door to their first class pokemon centre room,

'We'll try calling them after okay? I'm going to take a shower' Eevee leapt onto the bed and turned the television on while May stepped into the bathroom.

'Hi there is this the Hearthome Express' Brock asked a middle aged man who sat at the counter,

'Yes this is, would you like some tickets?'

'Three please,'

'Here you go. Have a nice journey, the next train arrives in ten minutes.'

'Thank you, bye!'

Ash and Dawn sat on a bench nearby, Dawn had Piplup in her arms while Pikachu sat on its trainer's let shoulder. The two of them seems to be discussing something very important. Brock walked over to see what the two friends were talking about.

'SHE IS NOT MY GIRL FRIEND!' Ash yelled, 'We're just best friends okay?'

'Right just best friends, you know you'll never get away with that right?' Dawn replied cheekily, Ash's faced turned bright red and Brock thought he saw smoke escape from the trainer's ears.

'Huh it's my poke-phone…' Ash said as he pulled out his poke phone, 'It's May…'

'Oh you're girlfriend?' Dawn winked at the trainer and laughed, Ash ignored the hysterical little girl and answered his phone,

'May?' Ash asked,

'Hi Ash!' May answered cheerfully, 'You'll never guess what happened to me today!'

'And you'll never guess what happened to me either!'

'You first'

'Pikachu found a pokemon egg now I have to take care of it!'

'Wow…that really is something…congratulations!' May said,

'What about you May? What did you do today that's so special?' Ash asked,

'Listen to the whole story before saying anything okay?'

'Yea…I guess…' the trainer replied,

'I went on a date with Drew today' May began, she could hear gasps from the other side of the phone. 'LISTEN!' she shouted quickly, 'Drew took me to a horror film,'

'HE DID WHAT!' Ash exclaimed, 'but you hate horrors, why did you…'

'LISTEN TO ME' May yelled getting a little bit impatient, it's good to know that he cares though… 'I missed like half of the film by escaping to the toilets so I wouldn't get scared. We then decided to go to eat ramen, I was really hungry and I ran off to the shop leaving Drew behind. Needless to say, he wasn't too happy about that.'

Ash laughed on the other side of the phone,

'Me and Eevee then ordered before Drew got here and he got quite angry,' May continued holding back the urge to laugh with her friends, 'He didn't do or say anything bad to me but just ignored me for the rest of the night until we got back to the Pokemon Centre where he said something like "see you around"'

'Why did you go on the date with him? Do you…y'know…like him?' Ash asked seriously,

He cares! 'No! it wasn't anything like that, I just wanted to be polite,' May replied, 'by the way I've won my second ribbon!'

'Already! Wow…that's great May' Ash congratulated the coordinator,

'Ash! Lemme talk to May!' a young female voice yelled, 'Brock wants to talk too!'

Ash sighed and handed over the phone to the enthusiastic girl.

'Hi Dawn, how are you doing?' May said, Ash could just hear her voice,

'We're going to Hearthome City where my first contest is…I'm a little bit scared though…'

Ash left the two coordinators to continue their conversation and walked along the train platform. Not many other people were taking the train, only a group of four who sat on a bench not far away.

She didn't seem to enjoy the date with Drew…she doesn't like him right?...Why do I care? I'm not her boyfriend…

Ash sighed heavily, he's always treated May as his very best friend, they got so close that many people have mistaken them for a couple.

I wish…

Did I just think that? Probably not…

Ash sighed again before heading back to Dawn, he slowly walked up to the blue hair coordinator,

'So he's your boyfriend?' Dawn asked cheekily, Ash glared at her, she gave him an innocent sweet smile. May said something from the other side of the phone which Ash didn't catch. Dawn's eyes widened and she squealed. Ash looked at her with a clueless expression on his face.

'Hey Dawn what did May say?' Ash asked, curious to find out what had made the young girl squeal. The young coordinator only smiled at him sweetly.

Incase you didn't catch what the last bit is about, Dawn now knows how May feels towards Mr. Ketchum. See yuu next week.
