Hello! I thank you all for reading this and all the review and such. To the reviewer a few days ago, thank you for giving me a little push to write this next chapter. Knowing that people are still waiting and thinking about the next chapter, even after like a month, really motivates me to get something out for you guys. I was a little stumped by this chapter, but it is complete and I hope you like it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Rookie Blue (I hope you have been aware of that. I tend to forget the disclaimer, but it applies to each chapter and all of my stories.)

Sam and Gail had just finished up in booking. He was finishing up the notes in his memo book as he walked towards the coffee station and saw Andy filling three cups. "How's your Saturday night McNally?" She looked over her shoulder, identifying the voice, although she'd recognize his distinct tone anywhere. "Oh, just working a murder case."

He knew she had been requested by the detectives, but didn't exactly know the reason they needed her. Luke and Jo already had their suspect and DNA had just proved him guilty, it was already solved. "So what are you doing exactly?" She shrugged beside him. "Uh, just double checking. You know."

She was reaching for a packet of sugar when she heard Gail behind her. "I found a baby." She turned around to look at Gail, "What?" she chuckled out in response to the random comment. "No, I did. In the middle of High Park. This woman called it in said she was walking her dog and she heard it crying. Swarek held it while I took her statement."

She spun to look at Sam, trying to keep her smile tamped down as the thought of Sam holding a baby popped into her head. "You held a baby?" He continued to fill his coffee, focusing his eyes on the hot liquid pouring into the cup as he answered, "Uh, no, I, uh took down a purse snatcher, two drunk drivers, and a streaking engineer student, then I held a baby." He looked at her as he said the last part and gave her an arrogant yet adorable dimpled smile.

He was trying to make her jealous, telling all the excitement he was enjoying as she was stuck behind a desk helping Callaghan. The smile dropped from her face as she glared at him. She turned back to the coffees, trying to balance the three of them in her two hands. "You know what, I should go."

He was watching her carefully, making sure she could carry them all without spilling them or burning herself. "Lots of bad guys out there, McNally. You sure you want to be doing paperwork?" She had successfully picked up the three coffees and was now walking away. "Well they need me. And Frank assigned me, so…" She turned back to look at him, showing her displeasure, before walking back to detectives offices.

Frank was pushing a quick and silent bust on a night club that was causing a drug problem and Sam had given his input, telling him, "Send McNally in. She can do it. And, uh, and Peck. Send them both in."

Now here he was, rifling through a box of equipment, as Andy pretended to shoot Gail with a large camera, making sound effects and managing to spit all over herself. He chuckled at her saddened expression as he took the camera from her and handed them cell phones to use. Both girls got a good laugh as he explained that the phones had cameras. "A phone with a camera in it." Gail sung, highly amused by the precincts somewhat outdated technology.

They hadn't gotten anything the first night, making it a very boring shift for Sam, Traci, and Jerry, who were stuck in the van, but McNally had at least gotten a lead. She had explained during parade how the bouncers were taking the money and that they also knew that the bartender's boyfriend has something planned that is worth six hundred thousand dollars, but they didn't have his name yet.

He had just gotten a text from Andy telling him to meet him in a side alley. She handed him a phone, pointing to the picture of a guy set as the screensaver. "There he is, you know him?" Sam was trying to get his phone to focus on the screensaver so he could get a picture of it. "No."

Her arms were crossed trying to preserve some body warmth against the cool air. "What? I thought you knew all the drug guys." He looked up at her frustrated expression. "Lot of drug guys, McNally. But, uh, I'll get this out on the street, see if I can get and ID, okay?"

"Okay, I gotta go." He pulled the phone away as she reached for it. "Look, I'm gonna get fired!" He caught her attention with the giant smile on his face. "You gotta admit this is fun, huh? Way better than paperwork. We make a good team, you and me." She gave him a questioning look. "What are you saying?" She wasn't sure if he was talking about the job or them together in general.

"Just what I said. What do you mean?" He gave her an answer that didn't clarify anything really, but before she could call him on it he gave her a question to answer. "Nothing. I gotta go." She said, grabbing the phone away from him, a flustered smile on her face. "Okay. Careful. Don't have too much fun, huh?" He watched her walk away, her heels clicking against the pavement, her hips swaying, and her skirt giving him a nice view of plenty of leg. He couldn't help the stupid smile that came over his face after she turned to look at him before running back inside.

They were side by side, having lunch at the station before they had to go to the club. They had stopped to grab some sandwiches on the way in, after Sam had made another surprise appearance to pick her up for work, not that she minded. They were going over all the information they had on their suspected drug dealer. "Just play it like you have been. You gotten all that we have so far and you haven't done anything too dangerous. I'm impressed." He said, nudging her with his shoulder.

"Yeah, well I'm impressive." She said giving him a wink, to which he just shook his head and chuckled. "You know, working undercover at a club shouldn't be too impressive, there isn't anything dangerous going on."

He turned to her, pulling his sandwich away from his mouth, ceasing his move to take another bite. "Hey, don't talk yourself down; you're the one who found out about the big deal that's going to be happening. That's impressive, Andy."

She scrunched her face at the mention of that. "What? You're the one who overheard that right? You're not just stealing Peck's thunder are you?"

She chuckled at the thought. "You know Gail wouldn't let me get away with that." He laughed at himself for thinking that was even an option. "I got that golden nugget of information by hiding behind a filing cabinet while the bartender and her boyfriend were making out in the back office."

He let out a large laugh, his dimples digging into his cheeks. "You what?" He laughed out, to which she shoved him, and let out a playful 'shut up'. "I went into the office to see if I could find anything useful and then I heard people coming so I hid behind the filing cabinet. They started talking about this big deal and then started getting all hot and heavy."

"And you just watched?" He teased her, giving her a raised eyebrow.

"No, gross. He got a call and had to leave, thankfully."

He laughed again at the thought of Andy stuck in the office with the couple. He could just imagine her awkwardly avoiding them, looking anywhere but where they stood. "The situations you get yourself amaze me."

She laughed and complimented herself again. "Yeah, well I am pretty amazing."

He pushed his tongue into his cheek, trying to suppress a smile, while nodding his head. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, you should probably get ready." She nodded and wrapped her unfinished sandwich back in its paper wrapping and grabbed her drink as she hopped of the ledge she was sitting on. He touched her arm before she was too far from him, "Hey McNally." She turned back to face him as he pulled his eyes from the ground to look at her. "Let's try and keep your no danger streak going, yeah?" She smiled at the look of concern she saw on his face, before joking in response. "You're no fun."

Andy's shift had ended, but she had just gotten the bartender to open up to her, got her talking about her boyfriend and she had just hit the mic on the cell phone Sam gave her. "He's a classic Scorpio; extreme, intense, totally frustrating." Andy listened to the list, thinking of Sam, and adding to what was already said. "Yeah and he's probably really sexy, right? And smart and funny and you can't keep your hands off of him." She took a drink from the glass she was resting on her leg.

"Sounds like you know him."

She pulled the glass away. "Mhmm. I know the type." Andy had a way of getting people to trust her, and information about the bartender's boyfriend was beginning to spill out.

They were having a good time, drinking and talking about guys. It seemed like the two girls had known each other for years rather than days. They were near the bar, planning to grab more alcohol when her boyfriend showed up asking who Andy was and then shoving his girlfriend against the bar and asking if she'd been talking to the cops.

Andy was just trying to get him to take it easy on his girlfriend when he pulled out a gun and pointed it at her. "Relax, stop waving the gun around."

Sam's glanced over at Traci and Jerry before jumping out of the van and sprinting towards the club.

"She didn't even tell me anything. I don't even know what you're talking about, so just calm down." He started screaming at Andy, telling her not to tell him what to do. She tried to tell him to put the gun down again, hoping that the three in the van were hearing what she was saying and coming to help her, but it was too late and shots were going off.

She put her body in front of the bartenders, keeping her somewhat covered from anymore possible shots when she heard Sam yelling, "Police! Don't move!" He came down the stairs, his eyes on her as Traci and Jerry flanked out behind him. "McNally?"

"I'm okay. I don't know what happened. I don't know where it came from."

She was walking down the stairs from the detective's offices after giving her statement, as Sam made his way towards her. She was looking down and pulling the strap of her bag farther onto her shoulder as he approached so he gave her a cursory 'Hey' to get her attention.

"Hey." She turned her head to look at his face as he stopped right beside her, facing the opposite direction. "Good work tonight. Smart, kept it real..."

She shrugged. "I just stuck with it. Way I was taught." He nodded, wanting to say more, but walking away before he blurted something out. She continued her journey out of the precinct, set on walking home and falling into bed.

Sam walked into the locker room and grabbed his stuff, slamming the door with more force than necessary, but he was upset with himself. He hurried to his truck and threw his bag in before locking it back up and running out to the street and looking for Andy. He started walking quickly, seeing a silhouette in the distance he pulled out his phone and pressed three.

He saw the figure grab something from their pocket and bring it to their ear before hearing Andy's voice through his phone. "What's up Sam?" He kept walking, "I was wondering if you needed a ride." She was still keeping her pace, the distance still the same as when he first spotted her.

"I'm already walking." He chuckled into the phone, "I know, I can see you." He saw her stop and turn slowly; he gave a giant wave, letting her know that the creepy man down the road was him. He heard her mutter 'stalker', which he wasn't sure if he was meant to hear or not, but he replied, "Only for you."

A silence filled the line as well as the streets around them. "So do you want a ride or not?" He asked, getting back to the point. "I don't know if you're aware, but you are walking. You planning on giving me a piggy back ride all the way home?"

His answer was immediate, no pause to think about it. "If that's what you want." She couldn't help the shy laughter the came out of her mouth. His answer had caught her off guard, but she replied, "Sure, I'll take a ride." She watched his form start moving towards her and let out a laugh. "Sam, I mean in your truck." He stopped, thankful that she was too far away to see the embarrassment on his face at the realization.

"Right. I'll be right back." She watched as he sprinted back to the station, his silver truck pulling out and coming towards her a minute later. She climbed into the passenger's side, glancing over every so often to look at him as they made their way towards her apartment. He pulled up to the curb and looked over at her, nodding as she thanked him.

She climbed out and turned at the sound of his voice. "Andy, can you please limit your getting shot at to, uh, never?" She laughed, although he seemed almost completely serious. "Sorry, I've already exceeded the limit by a couple."

"Oh I know. Those two times almost gave me heart attacks, so if you could stop getting shot at that would be great." She could hear the serious undertones in his voice, but wanted to keep it light and playful. "Well the first time I got shot you came in the locker room and kissed me, I just wanted to see if it worked for a second time . . . guess not." She shut the door and walked towards her building.

He sat there for a minute, shocked that she had brought up one of their kisses that neither of them had mentioned up to that point. He sent her a text before pulling away and heading home.

I was just trying to make it even after you stormed into the men's locker room and kissed me.

She thought about his text. He was trying to get her to make a move so he could do the same and play it off as 'making it even'. Thing was, they both did it after the other had been in an extreme situation, which happened to her more often than him. He would be storming into the women's locker room in no time.

This one had a lot of the actual episode, which I apologize for, but I tried to add some enough of my own little ideas as well.

Let me know what you think! Favorite line anyone?

THANKS!
