Callen and Sara stepped out of the way so the doctors had some room.

"What's going on?" Callen asked concerned.

The doctors worked on Marisa. Nothing so far worked. They pulled out the defibrillator and shocked Marisa. Sara turned close to Callen and Callen put his arms around her.

"It's gonna be okay," Callen whispered to her.

A couple of shocks later Marisa's heartbeat was back to normal.

"What happened?" Callen asked.

"Her heart was beating too fast so we had to shock her to get her heart back into normal rhythm," the doctor informed them.

"How could this happen?"

"It's common with patients who are injured severely. But it's in normal rhythm now and we'll keep monitoring her closely to make sure this doesn't happen again."

"Thank you doctor," Sara replied.

A little later the medical staff left and Callen and Sara sat next to Sara again.

"Don't ever scare us like that again," Callen told her as he grabbed her hand.

Callen and Sara stayed for a while longer before they were sent back to their room. Callen stayed with Sara. He didn't want to leave her alone.

"Can you hand me the pen and paper please?" Sara asked.

"Are you gonna write down what happened to you?" Callen asked as he handed her the pen and paper.

"Yes, I think it might help."

It was hard for Sara to write down everything that had happened, not just to her but to Marisa and Callen as well. Callen made sure she knew he was there for him if she needed him. 4 pages later she had written everything done. Just as she finished Nate walked in.

"Hi Nate," Callen greeted him.

"Hello you two. How are you today?"

"A bit better. Although we had some trouble with Marisa this morning. She had to be shocked again," Sara answered.

"I'm sorry to hear that. How is she now?"

"She's better, but she's still in critical condition."

"That must have been hard on you."

"You have no idea," Callen replied. "One minute her heart was beating normal and the next minute all these machines started beeping. It should've been me who was lying there."

"G, don't beat yourself up over this. It's not your fault," Sara told him.

"She's right Callen. It's not your fault. You can't blame yourself. You need to stop blaming yourself if you're going to deal with what happened there."

"It's just hard. It's my job to keep them safe."

"I get that you feel this way but sometimes we can't protect to ones we loved. Sometimes bad things happen. But that doesn't mean it's your fault." Callen just nodded. "I see you wrote down some words."

"Yes I wrote everything down what happened from the moment we were taken. It wasn't easy. But I feel that it was good to do," Sara replied.

"That's good. Now all you need to do is burn it."

"Yeah, we're gonna do that later when we step outside."

"That's good. You seem a bit better than yesterday."

"I feel a bit better after I wrote this down. It's still right in front of my mind but this helped me to deal with it."

"Good to hear. It's gonna take a while for you to completely deal with this but every step can help. And it's important that you have someone there with you along the way."

"Don't worry Nate, I'll be there for her whenever she needs me," Callen replied.

"That's good. You need each other right now. Well it's seems like you're doing well considering. I'll come by again once you've been discharged."

"That's fine Nate. Thank you."

Nate gave them a little smile before walking out. A little later Callen and Sara went outside. Callen had gotten a lighter from one of the nurses. Sara sat in her wheelchair and Callen sat on the bench. Sara held the lighter and the papers in her hands.

"It's gonna be okay Sara, you can do this."

Sara took a deep breath and set the papers on fire. She watched as the burned up on the ground. As she watched the papers burn she felt a bit more relieved, like a weight fell off her shoulders. She really was glad that she did this. It helped a lot. It wasn't completely gone but this definitely helped her to deal with what happened. Callen held her hand as the papers burned. Sara let out a deep sigh when the papers were completely burned.

"You did good Sara," Callen told her and he gave her a kiss on her head.

"I just wish it would go away as easily as the papers."

"We'll get through this Sara. I promise."

A week later Callen and Sara were discharged. Marisa's condition hadn't changed. Callen and Sara still had 3 weeks off from work to recuperate. They spent every hour they could with Marisa.

"I just hope Marisa's gonna pull through," Sara said when they were sitting on the couch at Callen's place.

"Me too, I can't lose her."

"Me neither, I just got her back."

"Don't worry, she's gonna be fine," Callen said to reassure her but he was also reassuring himself.

"She's a very good agent."

"Yes she is. She reminds me a lot of you."

"Funny, I was just going to say the same thing about you."

"Well I guess she has a bit of both of us in her."

"Yeah she does."

Sara spent the night at Callen's. She needed him close to her. Callen had his arms around her as they slept. Sara felt safe in his arms. In the middle of the night Callen woke up by Sara. She was tossing and turning in the bed.

"No, get away from me!" Sara shouted in her sleep.

"Sara, wake up. It's just a bad dream," Callen tried to shake her awake.

A little later Sara shot up in the bed.

"It's okay Sara. You're safe," Callen told her as he put his arm around her. Sara flinched at the contact. "It's okay Sara. It's just me."

Sara looked his way. "Callen?"

"Yeah it's me. You're safe. It was just a bad dream."

"It felt so real," Sara spoke as she lay her head down on Callen's chest.

Callen lay back down on the bed with Sara in his arms.

"It was real, but you're safe now. I'm not gonna let anyone hurt you or Marisa."

Sara started sobbing. Callen turned on his side and gathered her in his arms.

"Shhh, it's okay Sara. It's gonna be okay. I've got you. Shh it's okay. You're safe. It's over."

"G, can you do something for me?"

"Anything."

Sara looked into his eyes. "Make love to me."

Callen was slightly confused. "What?"

"Can you make love to me? I still can feel them and I don't want to anymore. Please."

"I'm not sure if that's such a good idea."

"Please G. I really need this," Sara pleaded.

Callen saw the look in her eyes. She really needed to feel him and not feel them anymore. Callen understood where she was coming from but he wasn't so sure if this was a good idea considering everything that happened. They were still recovering. Sara looked at him and begged him to make love to her. Callen saw how much she needed this so he decided to give in.

He kissed her while his hands went over her body. Callen went slowly. Sara flinched as she felt his hands on her bare skin but told Callen to keep going. Callen made sure to touch every part of her body, trying to rid her of the feeling of their touches. Callen carefully took off her PJ bottom and her panties. Callen paused for a second when he felt Sara's mood changing.

"Are you okay Sara?" Callen asked concerned.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just keep going."

Callen kissed her again before his lips kissed every part of her body. He lingered on her breasts. Callen felt Sara flinch a bit as he touched her in between her legs. He slowly moved his hand. Sara seemed to relax after a while. Callen carefully positioned himself in between her and carefully moved inside of her. Sara stiffened a bit as Callen pushed into her. Callen slowly moved in inch by inch. When he was completely in he held still for a while until Sara relaxed.

"You okay?"

"Yeah I'm good. Just go slowly okay."

"I will don't worry. Let me know if you don't like it alright."

"I will."

Callen slowly started to move. He had to fight himself to not go too fast already, he really wanted that. But this was not just some normal love making. He did this to make Sara feel better. With every thrust Sara relaxed a bit more. After a while Callen heard Sara starting to moan a bit.

"I'm not hurting you, am I?" Callen asked concerned.

"No, not at all. I love it. Keep going."

For the first part Sara just lay there while Callen moved himself. After a while she moved her legs around him and started moving with him. She begged Callen to go faster and harder so Callen obliged. It made Sara feel so good. For a moment she forgot everything that had happened and focused solely on the feeling Callen was giving her. A little later she was quivering underneath him. Callen followed shortly after that.

"That was really good. Thank you G," Sara uttered.

"You're welcome. Anything for you."

They just lay there in each other's embrace for a while. Sara felt better after his. She didn't feel their touches on her body that much anymore, she mostly felt Callen's loving touches. There was just on part of her body where she still felt them and that was in her mouth. She felt a bit embarrassed to ask Callen, she had never done anything like that. Callen saw that something was on her mind.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I was just wondering something."

"About what?"

"It's nothing, forget it. It's stupid. Never mind."

"Tell me, is something still bothering you? Can you still feel them?"

"No, I can't feel their touches and him being inside of me anymore…."

"But…. There's a but."

"But I still can feel him in my mouth. The other pushed himself inside my mouth. So I was wondering…"

"If I can do that to you?"

"Yeah kinda, except that I would be doing it to you not you to me."

"Sure, if that makes you feel better."

"You sure?"

"Yeah go ahead." Callen removed the sheets and lay on his back.

Sara hesitated a bit before she moved his mouth on him. She wasn't sure if Callen liked what she was doing but after a while she heard his grunts and moans and took that as a sign he liked it. It really felt good to her as well. She got turned on again herself so she moved her hand down. Callen noticed what she was doing so he lifted her onto him so she was above his face. Sara loved what Callen was doing to her. A little later she was quivering against him as she felt Callen's release in her mouth.

They fell asleep not soon after that in each other's embrace. It was 10am when they woke up the next morning. Sara stretched herself in Callen's arms.

"Good morning," Callen spoke.

"Good morning," Sara replied and kissed him. "Thank you for last night. I really appreciate that."

"No problem. Anything I can do to help you with this."

"I'm just gonna go take a shower."

Callen watched as Sara walked to the bathroom. Sara turned the shower on and stepped under the water. The water felt good on her body. After last night she was a lot more relaxed than the previous days. As she stood under the shower she felt their touches wash off her body. She only felt Callen's touch now. A little later she heard the bathroom door open and Callen stepped into the shower.

"You okay?" Callen asked as she leaned back against him.

"Yeah I'm good. I feel a lot better."

"That's good. Glad to hear that."

They stood there together for a while before getting out. They ate some breakfast and went to the hospital.

…..

3 weeks later Callen and Sara were cleared to go back to work again. Marisa's situation hadn't changed much. She was moving forward but with very small baby steps. She had a long way to go.

"Morning," Callen spoke as he and Sara walked back in the bullpen.

"Morning G," Sam replied and he stood up to give him a bro hug. "Good to have you both back."

"It's good to be back," Sara said.

"How's Marisa?"

"Hanging in there," Callen replied.

"I'm sorry G."

"Thanks."

Callen moved to his desk.

"Are you sure you're good to come back to work?"

"Yeah I'm fine. It'll be good for me. It'll take my mind off of everything."

"Good morning Mr. Callen, Ms. Gonzalez. Good to have you back," Hetty spoke as she walked into the bullpen. "Now, upstairs you go. We have a new case."

They managed to get the case wrapped up pretty quickly. Callen and Sara went for a bite to eat before going to the hospital. When they walked into Marisa's room the doctor was just checking on her.

"Hello doctor," Sara greeted him.

"Hello."

"How is she?"

"She's moving forward slowly. But she's doing okay. We're thinking about removing her tube tomorrow. Her oxygen levels seem good so she probably will be able to breathe on her own."

Callen and Sara both were happy about that. The doctor did some more checks before leaving the room.

The next day after work Callen and Sara went by the hospital again. The doctor was just about ready to pull the tube out.

"You're just in time," the doctor told them as they walked into the room.

Callen held Sara's hand as the doctor pulled out the tube. Both of them prayed that Marisa would breathe on her own. A few seconds after the tube was out the doctor noticed she was breathing on her own.

"This is good. She's breathing on her own. So it probably won't be long before she wakes up now," the doctor informed them.

Callen and Sara could stay the night with Marisa since they wanted to be there when she woke up. Sara lay on the couch and had fallen asleep. Callen sat on the chair next to Marisa's bed. He dozed off a couple of times.

It was 7am when Marisa started waking up. Her eyes needed some time to adjust to the room she was in. She looked around and saw she was in a hospital bed. She remembered what had happened. She looked to the side and saw Callen sitting there, asleep.

"Dad," Marisa spoke, her voice still a bit faint.

Callen was a light sleeper so he heard her. "Marisa," Callen spoke when he saw that Marisa was awake. Callen walked over to her and grabbed her hand. "How are you feeling?"

"I've been better. I remember I tried to get the guns and then everything went black."

"You were shot, you were lucky. The bullet almost hit your heart."

"How long was I out?"

"For about 4 weeks."

"That long?! Damn. Where's mom? Is she okay?"

"Who are you talking to?" Sara asked still half asleep.

"Mom?" Marisa spoke when she heard Sara's voice.

Sara shot up as she heard Marisa's voice. "You're awake." Sara jumped up from the couch and hugged Marisa. "Thank god you're awake. I was so worried about you."

"Are you both okay?'

"We're fine honey, don't worry about us," Callen replied.

"What about Comescu?"

"Don't worry about them. He and his bodyguards are dead. They are not gonna hurt you anymore."

"Good."

"I'm just gonna go get the doctor," Callen said and he walked out of the room.

"Are you okay sweetie?"

"I'm okay mom. A little bit weak but I'm okay."

"I know what happened to you was rough. It happened to me too. If you want to talk about it I'm here for you. Or you can talk to Nate. I did and it helped. He told me to write everything down that had happened and then burn the paper. That really helped with me."

"I'm fine mom, I don't need to talk about it."

"Yes you do honey. You can't keep this bottled up. Talking about it really helps."

"Maybe later."

"Just know that you father and I are here for you if you need us."

"Thanks."

"Good to see you awake," the doctor spoke as he and Callen walked into the room. "How are you feeling?"

"I've been better. I feel weak and tired."

"That's totally normal. You were lucky. We almost lost you."

"Thanks for saving me."

"No problem, that's my job. You do have to stay in the hospital for a while to get some strength back and you'll have to do some physical therapy."

"How long do I have to stay here? I'm not really fond of hospitals, no offence."

"I'd say for at least 3 more weeks and then about 3 months off to recuperate."

"That long? Damn."

"You were severely injured Miss. You need to allow your body to heal."

"Don't worry doctor. I'll make sure she does," Sara replied.

"That's good. I'll be back later to check on you."

Sara and Callen were happy that Marisa was awake again. They stayed with her till they had to go to work.

"We'll be back later tonight," Callen told her and he gave her a kiss on her head.

"See you. Rest up," Sara spoke and she gave her a kiss on her head too.

"I will. Be careful today."

"We will. Don't worry about us."

Just as she finished her breakfast Nate stepped in.

"Good morning Marisa," Nate spoke.

"Good morning Nate," Marisa sighed.

"How are you?"

"Like I've just been shot," Marisa joked.

"And otherwise? I know what happened at the warehouse."

"I don't wanna talk about it," Marisa replied and looked away.

"I know it's hard to talk about it, but you have to talk about it."

"Have you ever been raped?"

Nate was a bit taken aback by her question. "No, I haven't."

"Then you don't know how I feel and how hard it is to talk about it," Marisa snapped.

"You're right, I don't know how you feel. Why don't you tell me so I can understand and try to help you?"

"I don't wanna tell you."

"You have to talk about it someday. It's not good to keep it bottled up."

"I don't wanna talk about it. It hurts to even think about it."

"I get that. But trust me, it helps. You have to deal with this."

"I don't wanna deal with it. I just wanna forget it."

"I understand. But to forget it, you have to let it out. Otherwise it will keep eating at you."

"It just hurts to think about it. I can't get the words out."

"Just try. I'll be here with you to help you."

Marisa nodded and started to tell Nate what had happened in the warehouse. She had to take deep breaths before talking about the part where she was raped.

"It was so gross to feel their hands on me and them inside of me. And it hurt a lot."

"I don't know if you want to but it mostly helps to write it down and then burn the paper."

"Yeah my mom told me about that."

"It really helped her."

"Yeah she told me that. I don't know. I don't feel like that today."

"That's alright. You did good. I'll be back tomorrow."

That night Marisa had trouble falling asleep. She kept seeing them in front of her and she could feel their hands on her. Eventually she fell asleep.

About an hour later the nurses were alarmed to her room as a lot of noise came out of her room.
