Waves crashed against the cruise liner as it headed back to land. Ali enjoyed the gentle caress of wind with the sun shining brilliantly down upon them. She smiled softly watching the water below glisten while her companion patiently awaited the next move. The upcoming events were swiftly approaching and Ali felt the pressure to move into action. First she would leave and find the black materia but where it was exactly, she didn't know. Ali's limited knowledge on the world would greatly impede her ability to quickly get the work done and return back to ShinRa. Return back to Sephiroth. Her heart fluttered at the thought, the way he touched and how gentle his lips were upon the young woman's skin. A tingling sensation rose and allowed a slight shiver to run down her body. A slight huff from her left which she knew was Snowfleet reacting to her mental machinations. Ali scoffed right back and turned back to her original train of thought. The young woman would first go to look for the materia Sephiroth inevitably uses to summon meteor and destroy it one way or another. Perhaps she would go to the crater and throw the orb down into the Lifestream where the planet could re-absorb it's essence and purify it. Would the planet turn it to white materia? Her mind wandered momentarily musing over the options of what to do with it. Perhaps she should absorb the materia herself, gaining extra power in the process or maybe the Lifestream wouldn't accept the glass orb and become defiled? The thoughts she came up with were interesting but not probable. She knew nothing else of the materia other than it summoned meteor and frankly she didn't any more power. Materia is derived from the planet itself, more specifically the Lifestream, if it rejected the orb then it rejects itself. She shifted slightly moving the weight from her right arm to the left as she leaned agasint the railing. The path set ahead was long and daunting...certainly nothing she wanted to do alone. After she took care of the materia then she would go to the mako reactor in Nibelheim and there it would be she would take care of the main problem. The calamity Jenova would be the biggest hurdle to get over. Theories suggest that Sephiroth could "hear" her, almost in a telepathic sense which is something Ali believed in. After the nightmare with the calamity it seemed highly probable that was the case. How would she destroy Jenova though? Nibelheim's reactor was still very active and ShinRa kept a close eye on it. Ali couldn't just walk in go to Jenova's cell and just bring it down. She would be seen on camera and questioned later. The young woman stood there quietly gaze squared upon the rolling waves deciphering the best course of action. Suddenly a thought crossed her mind. She would take down the whole reactor. Her ice abilities would be the key; while she hid out away from the edifice Ali would bring down waves upon waves of ice onto the reactor effectively destroying the building. In turn, it would destroy Jenova. Even if she were to get caught ShinRa wouldn't be able to contain her; Ali could easily overpower them this time around with all her abilities...well most exposed to the corrupt politicians and businessmen. Though, before she would get to Jenova, Ali began to filter through memories, perhaps it would be better to do some research at the old ShinRa mansion. She would wake Vincent there and read up on the files over Sephiroth, Genesis, and Angeal. A slim hand ran through vivid blue hair in mild stress over the course of action she needed to work on. Heavy footsteps landed rhythmically behind her while a set of strong arms weaved around Ali's slim waist. She jumped slightly and received a light hearted chuckle. "Did you let your guard down?" His smooth melodic voice grew closer with each word until warm breath tickled her ear. That smooth voice dropped low and husky as he murmured the next few words. "Bad girl." She shivered as a wave of intense pleasure ravaged her spine earning another chuckle from her newfound love interest. It still felt strange as old memories kept tapping for remembrance and desperately trying to make her insecure. Ali reminded herself that Kaiman was someone of the past, a mistake she had to endure to find something better. Sephiroth seemed to give her that and perhaps all will go well in the future. His hands coaxed up and down her sides emphasizing on her child bearing hips as lithe fingertips subtly gripped against her sex bones. "You seem to be rather eager again...!" She squeaked as his hands teased against Ali's hips. He chuckled lightly squeezing once more before placing himself to her right. Sephiroth leaned against the railing putting all his weight onto his right forearm while his left hand grasped to the dangling appendage on the opposite side. The general wore a smug face alluding to his inner victory over her innocence. An eyebrow quirked in his direction only to be answered with heavily lidded eyes. Another rush of pleasure. "Am I not allowed to be? It's been some time since I've laid hands on a lovely lady." Her guts twisted darkly at the words. Ali knew better than to expect any man to keep abstinent but to think that he had been with another groped a deep seated jealousy. She scoffed slightly turning her gaze away from the feline-eyed man trying desperately to rope in her emotions. Ali knew exactly what he wanted but at this point in time didn't feel comfortable giving it to him. He was actually rather lucky to even touch her the way he did back in the hut on the beach as she hadn't even gone that far with Kaiman. Suddenly she felt utterly filthy. Her time with Sephiroth has been far less than the effort towards Kaiman and yet the General was the first to touch her. What had she done? "You know, you may want to reconsider this...'situation'." The silence that followed was an indicator of Sephiroth watching her; she could feel it. A slight cackle passed her lips and a slight bitter rebuke slipped. "I wont provide the...'services' you're looking for. You may just want to go back to the lovely lady you mentioned before." It was ungraceful, she realized, but the twisting anger and jealousy kept side tracking the young woman. Even without looking at him Ali noticed movement to the side and listened to the thudding before his frame straddle hers. A firm and gentle grasp upon her chin forced Ali to gaze up staring Sephiroth straight in his mako gaze. They were so intense and stunning she fell right into them while his lips crashed upon the young woman's. Sephiroth's hands fell down cupping them against her bum, grasping firmly and pressing against his nether regions. She could feel him, hard and eager which caused bright red to flush across the pale skin of her countenance. His kiss was feverish quickly escalating to down her jaw and onto the sensitive crevice of Ali's collarbone. She gasped in pleasure as the barrage of kisses and bites continued until her breathing became labored and breathless pants caressed his ears. He growled, more than pleased that she responded well to his sudden advance. Sephiroth placed one last bite earning a squeak before returning her gaze. Everything clouded over, a sure sign his machinations left her dizzy and wanting more to which he would give later when she was ready. "I want you Ali Reinhard. Don't you ever forget that." A petite smile crawled upon her full rosy pink lips, flashing white teeth as a giggle slipped through. His hand came up cradling the side of her face, cupping it ever-so-gently as if he were almost afraid of breaking her. Ali leaned into Sephiroth leaning her forehead against his exposed chest cavity and taking in his sweet musk. The wind blowing between them and the crashing of water sang a song as the young woman welcomed his strong embrace. The sun above them trickled slowly down the horizon leaning close to almost three in the afternoon when the shore came into view. A surge of panic shot through her system as the weight of reality was slowly becoming all too tangible. Ali took a deep breath calming her racing heart and taking the steps back necessary to focus on what was there in that moment of time. She had Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis all who had taken Ali in as their own and would jump to her aid at any given moment; it was there that she realized that whatever was to happen, Ali needed to fix. No matter the situation or how hard it would be the Ultimate Queen had to keep the worst from happening, this was her goal and her purpose of being in this world. When the shore became most of her sight, Ali turned and went back to grab her luggage from the itty bitty cabin. All the passengers crowded against the exit waiting for the boat to dock and lower it's bridge back to mainland and sadly return to their mundane and normal life. The boat's foghorn roared as it locked down and the crew set out the board. No one wasted a moment as one by one each individual scurried down the ramp seemingly excited to have their feet back upon solid ground. Ali, Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis were greeted by a young Turk who escorted them wistfully back to a luxurious company car waiting patiently to take them back to headquarters. The trunk popped wide open which each of the SOLDIER's placed their luggage within followed with clammering into the backseat of the limo-esque vehicle. Each of them taking appropriate seats such as Ali next to Sephiroth while Angeal and Genesis sat opposite. Ali turned her gaze outward, watching the landscape just zip by them yet the mountains in the distance hardly seemed to move. It reminded her of the constant road trips she took as a child all to go see family living halfway across the country. The memories made Ali feel happy yet homesick and it was there she realized that no matter how long or how used to she'd become of Gaia, Earth will always be where home was. Gaia was a nice place to live and she was pleased to have experienced the life here but nothing would ever compare to having family back home. Even with the horrible memories of Kore and the war. She had withdrawn into her saddened memories so that a gentle grasp spooked Ali into a slight twitch. Her vibrant blue eyes glimmered with alert focus as she placed a face with the grasp, to which she found Sephiroth gazing deeply into her soul. Ali blinked several times trying to understand his face and what the need was to be so serious. A gentle shake of his head with a light sigh proved to be as much help as grabbing a wet bar of soap. "Did you even hear me?" So he had been speaking to her. Ali shook her head breathing an apology at the same time. "What's wrong? You seem distracted." The young Queen let out a gentle sigh as she turned back to the passing scenery. Her mouth twitched in multiple directions debating on which thought to process or explain to them; it was a rather difficult decision really for her. They know about her home, to a degree, and yet they have yet to fully comprehend how she felt. Maybe...maybe telling them wasn't the best option. Perhaps showing them was the best. "Have you guys been curious about where I come from?" All three gazed to one another as curiosity settled down upon their little pack. Sephiroth quirked an eyebrow at his woman what could she possibly be scheming? When he brought his gaze to her distant eyes staring blankly out the car window the General realized that she truly was asking them if they were curious. He knew that he was and surely by this point the other two were as well. "What do you have in mind Ali?" A mischievous grin spread quickly across her face eager for the moment to arrive. Again the three men turned to one another now growing cautious at her sudden mood swing. Ali giggled softly as she pulled herself away from the passing scenery, locking eyes with Sephiroth. Suddenly there was a tapping at his conscious which felt vaguely familiar and Sephiroth watched as Ali's wicked grin grew bigger. Did she have the ability to communicate telepathically? Yes dear. Just relax, I'm pulling you and the others into my conscience. Naturally his eyelids fell allowing darkness to consume him momentarily. It was like falling into a pool of water as her mind welcomed him into hers while a chill enveloped his senses. He landed gracefully upon a bed of nothing, watching the surroundings slowly fade into a gray and brighten to a snowy white. Eventually snowflakes began to fall and a chilling breeze came about. Sephiroth held out his hand catching a little white fake watching with fascination as it faded away. Heavy footsteps crunched in the snow behind him alerting the General to the appearance of his other comrades. He swiveled to find Angeal and Genesis walking in stride with one another. In this moment all of them looked completely at ease as they took in the landscape Ali had made for them. The gentle breeze ad little snowflakes added this aura of serenity that he would never had dared to imagine. A soft feminine giggle made him turn once more to catch the blue clad woman smiling warmly against the cold bitten wonderland. Part of her seemed melancholy yet contradicted by a hint of excitement. Perhaps she was eager to see her homeland? Ali's head gazed upward taking in the infinite pastel white of the sky within her mind mesmerized by it's beauty. Another breeze brought on by her thoughts brought a soft sweet scent of grass...was she already transitioning her mind from calm, cold, gentle winter to what Sephiroth assumed to be her home? His answer came soon as little blades of green began to pop up from the blanket of white, disturbing he purity of Ali's vision. The ground beneath shook as tree's began to break through creating a wall of foliage separating a large field of grass to what seemed to be fuzzed out houses behind the line. Sephiroth, Angeal, Genesis, and Ali stood within the large grassy field bordered by a concrete path laid before a long curving paved road. Across the street popped up a quaint home in the hue of a sun bleached ivory. The home seemed to still stand well where it's yard was neatly trimmed with two young trees sitting in the front, finally filling out it's branches. A small concrete pathway led up a short staircase to the front door which opened up exhibiting a small family filing out. A bitter wind came through as Sephiroth realized that this was her old home and family. Her mother was bigger built with a very light olive complexion and gray blue eyes. Faded brown locks cut short at her jaw into a reverse bob and the Silver haired man realized where Ali got most of her looks and build from. Next was a shorter man with peppered short hair and normal blue eyes stood next to his wife with a proud grin upon his mug. Between her parents it made sense to Sephiroth, they loved their child and raised her to be the wonderful young woman she had become. Another man exited the home, taller than Ali's father yet a slight bit shorter than her mother; he had dark short brown hair matched with a little beard. He was younger than the parents and it dawned upon Sephiroth that this young man was her brother. Behind her brother came a woman heavy with a child and another little girl holding the woman's hand. She took her place next to the brother. Sephiroth felt his mouth twitch oddly feeling pity for Ali; she had a wonderful life going on right her, a quaint yet loving family to come home to everyday but now it was all gone. He knew that no matter what he did it could never replace what she lost and the severity of it all came crashing down. Suddenly two more forms began to fade in next to her family. A bright blonde haired young lady along with a girl so dark of hair it almost looked black. They waved happily to Ali and all she could do was smile bitterly. The General wanted nothing more to do than to hold his woman at that moment; temporarily ease the pain that she must be enduring on her own. As he began to reach out to her the world grew dark and the ground began to rumble angrily. Lighting flashed malevolently above them and cracking thunder loud enough to rattle their eardrums. Sephiroth gazed over to his blue haired companion who had her face turned down. Even from this angle the General could see tears streaming down her rosy cheeks. The earth split in two and from the crevice rose a man clad in a white trench coat; in his hand grasped a syringe filled with clear blue liquid. He laughed maniacally while glancing hungrily at Ali. This must've been her Hojo Sephiroth concluded at his dark representation and the eerie resemblance the two had with one another. In the corner Sephiroth noticed a fading shadow trying desperately to coagulate; in moments it would resemble a masculine figure. Gleaming silver would glimmer from the upper regions mocking that of a reptile's pupil...would this have been? "Ali." Sephiroth broke low and cool. Ali's tired gaze drifted lazily over her shoulder emanating an aloof aura, something quite unusual for the young Queen. "Let that memory come to light." Her eyes narrowed dangerously and the truth plastered across that wide open book of a face. Ali turned full faced to him straightening her back and taking on a proud and confident stance while closing the distance between them. Her finger nearly reached his chest before the silver haired General gently took her metaphysical wrist into his grasp. "Let him form. The more you struggle to keep him buried the more it'll kill you. Face it and let it go." Immediately there was a lax in tension as her cold hard eyes relaxed into exhausted and worn begging for rest. Ali took in one last deep breath and releasing the intake allowing the shadow to take a form. It was a young man, several years older than either him or Ali with oddly blue hued hair that graduated into a soft gray at the tips. His silver eyes glimmered with focus glaring distantly at the young Ultimate Queen. Sephiroth turned to Ali finding the young woman with head down and fidgeting with the hem of her uniform and unwilling to look up. So this was the man she was promised to at one point in her life? The silver haired General took the few smooth strides to close the distance between himself and the memory. He took in the figure analyzing piece by piece comparing the differences between them and noticed the little black box within his grasp. "Kaiman..." Sephiroth swiveled to the side glancing sidelong at his lover who breathed out a heavy sigh. "Is his name. For the longest time in the beginning...we were enemies. He worked for Kore and was my biggest obstacle keeping me from ending the war." The beautiful scenery fell through fading into pale white sterile walls and floors decorated with bright screens of monitors. Wires filled in the shadows and an odd smell of chemical and decay filled the air. Ali's head finally rose glaring at the forms before her, more so at the man in white that Sephiroth had come to understand as Kore. "If you are Queen because you are the strongest of your people, why was he such a threat?" There was a small scoff followed by full blown laughter. He quirked an eyebrow at the young woman who had the gall to laugh at him and for an honest question. Several moments pass before her laughter died down and she wiped away some small tears forming at the edge of vibrant blue eyes. "Something funny?" He questioned her. "Sorry Sir, just the memory of first turning." Ali strode up bidding the other two over as Ali formed a figure in the likes of herself, younger and terrified. All of them cast their curious gazes upon the form standing before, muttering incoherently and flinching at the other two memory figures as they moved. The memory struggled visibly controlling her own abilities, switching rapidly between bright blue to normal faded brown. "At first, I struggled with these powers...there were times my mother noticed the blue and questioned me. I had to lie through my teeth and act like everything was alright, there were times I had to allow myself to heal which took way into the night before I could go home which resulted in a grounding. What you see now was the result of a struggle...it was terrifying." Ali opened her eyes releasing all of them from her mind. All of them gasped as the sensation of reality returned to their bodies, washing over them like a tidal wave slamming against the rocky cliff. She took a breath unaware of the lack during her momentary endeavor to show her teammates what her life had been previously. Her bright blue eyes glimmered with anticipation as the men collected themselves returning her gaze; Genesis spoke first. "You had a pretty normal life...this Kore took all of that away from you." Ali nodded gently turning her gaze out the window once more. It felt good to let them know finally, or rather, show them just how different she was now compared to before. The young woman hadn't always been the confident self-assured Queen but rather a timid and collected high school student. "Ya know..." Her voice paused momentarily as the right words formulated for an upcoming thought, "as bad as things were at first...I'm glad I got to experience this. I'm happy to have met you three." Silence enveloped the elite SOLDIER group as they neared the main headquarters. Something made her excited; was the thrill of adventure settling down upon the young woman or was the acceptance of her life what caused the rush? Ali wasn't sure but certainly felt eager to get out of the limo and run about. Their return home finished uneventfully and Ali's first destination was back to her flat. In fluid motion she leaped out of the vehicle, pivoted to the trunk, swooped up her bag, and trotted off ahead of the boys. Snowfleet cantered behind her nails clicking against the stone floor in a rhythmic motion causing Ali to bounce in beat with the clicks. All the Turks greeted Ali respectfully and gawked at the blue hued wolf. This caught Ali by surprise considering many creatures of this world are far more decorated and outlandish than a blue canine with wings. For example Nanaki was a flaming red lion and he was part of a whole pack like himself, what was so strange about Snowfleet? The young Queen shrugged and skipped by the rest, continuously ignore the stares and questioning glances. / / /

The door clicked gently behind Ali disturbing the calm serenity of her room. Waves of icy blue crystals rustled in elegant bends coming together to form the familiar form of the wolf-dragon hybrid Ali had come to love. Dissipating into nothingness the ice fluttered out of existence leaving the odd hued beast to shake out the stiffness built up in spirit form. Snowfleet huffed softly while climbing onto the gray fitted mattress in the corner, settling into the moment watching the young woman. Ali had been unpacking, placing all used garments into the hamper indicating clothes needed washed and also seemingly searching for something. The vibrant blue hued wolf could tell Ali felt better, less stressed and more relaxed into this new role befitting her life and perhaps a little smitten.

Who could blame her? Sephiroth was now a tangible human being and she managed a spot right into their lives and the young woman was living out her fantasies. Not many could ever say such a thing. As the wolf sat watching her human counterpart, one thing could only plague her mind, what was going to happen now? What little Ali knows of this universe has happened already and right on schedule which means inevitably Sephiroth will go insane. Ali was sure to figure something out, Snowfleet was confident in this, but will it have a happy ending?

Ali returned to her full height clutching gently a little silver ball between her forefinger and thumb. Snowfleet recognized the contraption to be what served as a communicator between her and their old home, the same one that Kaiman reached out to Ali over their short vacation. What an odd time to do so out of the whole situation, her ex decided to try and patch their relationship so long after Ali had been taken. What a fool.

The young woman turned and strolled casually back to the bed, plopping herself down onto the fluffy mattress and began twiddling with the metal communicator. The thing was so smooth aside from the places where separate metals came together forming a tiny gap. Time ticked away as the young woman fiddled with the ball, growing her claws out to tap in the little gaps. Seeing such concentration on the young woman was not uncommon but the hints of frustration were.

"What are you doing?" Snowfleet inquired sniffing gently at her hand. Ali turned the mechanism once more looking over the spot for the seemingly hundredth time tapping away with a slight snarl gracing her full rose lips.

"I want to see if I can make this thing work from my end. If I can, then hopefully I can get a hold of someone from home and maybe do a little research." Snowfleet flipped her tail gently intrigued by her 'mother', perhaps then things could work out on this end for everyone

Snowfleet watched in anticipation, excited to see where this plan was heading. It was at least a good half hour, if not a little longer, before Ali growled in frustration and squirmed in irritation. The blue wolf crawled over slightly sticking her cold dark wet nose into the crook of Ali's elbow nuzzling in affection. Ali sighed gently taking a moment to pet her companion lovingly. Closing her eyes Snowfleet rumbled gently in appreciation enjoying the feeling. Taking a long moment to gaze at the metal ball, it then occurred to Ali how it may be activated but it seemed all too simple a solution and too easy.

"Surely not…" the young woman began muttering under her breath and narrowing vibrant eyes in disbelief. Snowfleet cocked her head gently tuning into Ali's mentality; she understood the young woman's disbelief but found it to be a legitimate way to activate the ball. Ali lifted the ball slightly taking in a gentle breath. "Call Natalie."

The little contraption began to buzz vibrating gently between her fingers in short bursts imitating a phone ringing. Snowfleet's ears perked up standing at attention watching the ball as the moments pass slowly. Ali began to dread no one was going to answer when a few high trills whistled and the soft blue holographic grid popped up beeping to pull in a familiar image.

Bright vivid yellow greeted Ali's equally colorful blue eyes, pausing momentarily unsure if this was a form of voicemail or actual contact with her best friend of five years. She could feel her eyes twitch taking in the image feeling the wave of excitement course through. Everything felt tense and all Ali wanted to do was reach through the hologram to hold her best friend.

"Nat?" Quiet and tentative she started hoping it wasn't a recording. How did Kore do this, not only break dimensional science but create a device that can work through it.

"Oh my God, ALI! KAYLIE! COME HERE!" If Ali listened close enough she could hear muttering in the distance followed by rapid stepping that grew louder as their friend rushed over to greet her. Beautiful dark chestnut hair swished into view followed by matching eyes wide with surprise which turned ecstatic as soon as Ali locked stares. A cacophony of laughter, squealing, and tears ensued as the girls began their desperation of catching up. "Ali! What's happened to you!? What's that outfit? Where are you?" Ali held up her hands in defense waiting for them to cease their tirade of questions. When they finally settled down Ali took her moment to explain.

It was easier to explain to Natalie what had happened as the two were more on the nerdy side than Kaylie was but the brown haired Ultimate caught on quickly. It was fun for Ali watching them realize the situation and how quickly she stepped in ranks including being Sephiroth's right hand man. Natalie's eyes grew wide in realization.

"WAIT. THE Sephiroth? Like the one you've had a crush on since Middle School?" Ali shushed the blonde while pushing her palms down in stiff motions. Snowfleet began to encase the room with ice allowing little to no sound to escape at that point giving the girls a little more privacy.

"Yes Nat, that Sephiroth. Other than that, everything seems to be normal…as it can be. What about your end? How's home? What about my family?"

To her relief, everything had settled down. They captured Kore quicker this time around not allowing the man to wreak havoc among the commoners. It seemed to be easier now that the country was aware of them and didn't have to hide anymore nor be afraid for family to be hurt. Ali's ex, Kaiman, seemed to be missing. The young woman nodded understandingly; there was no reason to go after him so adamantly at this point, it would be a waste of time and energy. Ali did inform the two of her stance with him and what had recently occurred; if they ever did see him, he is a traitor and should be treated as such. The two nodded agreeing with her decision.

The young woman's family though had taken the loss hard considering they had no clue that she was still alive. Natalie and Kaylie assured Ali that her family would know immediately and for a moment, the young woman felt relieved.

A few raps knocked upon her black hued metal door causing the young woman to jump in surprise. She glanced up momentarily then back to her friends. Bidding Natalie and Kaylie a sad farewell Ali ended the call removing herself from the mattress and crossing the room to the disturbance. Snowfleet glanced over with ears perked and posture ready for anything out of the ordinary but as soon as the ice faded from the entrance and allowed the flow of energy to pass freely once more, the two girls could recognize the signature.

Black hair and vivid ocean blue eyes greeted the young woman and she gave a quaint grin. Zack had been the one sent to fetch her this time, while the others must already be in the debriefing room. She nodded and motioned for Snowfleet who joined sides without hesitation. The young teen jumped slightly at Snowfleet's appearance taken aback by such a strange creature. Ali giggled at him taunting Zack along the way his inability to adjust to sudden situations.

Zack balked at the idea reminding her that she was the one who had come back not once, but twice, unconscious. She waved a hand dismissively chuckling at the young man's rebuttal. If anything Zack certainly was adorable and his hyperactive personality was a welcoming change of pace.

"But see here little puppy, I was doing my job and took the brunt force of some serious attacks. Plus since I hadn't come to fully trust all of you at the time, I wasn't using my full power." Zack glanced over curiously. It then occurred to Ali that Zack had been absent in the most recent developments with her existence. Quickly she ran down the list of important events, save for her and Sephiroth practically becoming a couple, to the young impressionable SOLDIER.

He hummed while gently cupping his chin processing all the information. The young SOLDIER nodded approvingly with his signature grin and all the woman could do was laugh. It was the familiar blue glow of Lazard's office brought both SOLDIER back to reality, watching as the door swooshed open revealing said blonde.

Surprisingly none of the others were there to greet the young woman as the two stepped through the entrance watching the blonde. It was strange looking at Lazard, seeing a truly genuine countenance and yet soon he would be the reason for an upheaval in the ShinRa Corporation. Well perhaps with her meddling, he'd be alright.

A strange notion struck Ali at that moment; what if she were to take over ShinRa? Rufus would most likely have a falling out with his father and would still try to kill him. Maybe it wouldn't matter too much either way in this instance since the power struggle would continue no matter which way she went about her business. Shaking her head Ali returned to the present as Lazard debriefed them upon their next mission.

"…many reports have flooded back to us about a large walking lizard that spouts fire terrorizing the village." That description sounded oddly familiar. Ali cocked her head in interest tuning more and more to the situation. "Ali, does any of this sound familiar to you?" Her sudden attention must have caught his eye.

"Well, I mean, is there really any other description about this reptile? Color, horns, you know?" Her hesitation quirked an eyebrow with the Director and she sighed in thought. "And what do you mean by 'flooded back'?" Lazard snorted in amusement.

"I wondered if you were paying attention at first. You remember that small village from your first mission? You're going back. The reports coming in say it's an anthromorphic lizard in various blue shades spitting fire. It seems to be looking for something." Ali involuntarily rolled her eyes.

"Or someone. I know exactly who it is, I'll take care of it." Secretly, Ali was ecstatic to go on this mission. She had kept her promise to the child and had written letters to Tanya yet missed seeing the child in person.

Zack followed close behind struggling slightly to keep up with the Ultimate woman. She chuckled softly at the boy quickening her pace ever so slightly.
