Snow fell lightly on the ground, incasing the families SUV in ice and snow, and causing them to remain in the house the majority of the day. Lorelei had just graduated the year before and was living just out of Boston with her husband Andrew, and their new baby, Kelsey, at thirty, she was living the dream. Jackson was finishing up law school, and married to a beautiful woman named Loretta, they were looking into buying a house. Sofia, now twenty-three, was doing an internship at the hospital, and still dating Matthew, they were engaged. Mike, having turned twenty-one, was starting his junior year at a university in New York. Tricia and Tasha were starting their sophomore year of high school, Tricia dating the captain of the football team, and Tasha dating the captain of the hockey team. All was well, minus the fact that the girls were now snowed in, and stuck babysitting for the neighbor, and Jane was off at a crime scene while Maura was upstairs doing yoga.

"I'm bored!" the little girl they were watching stated.

"I'm sorry Jenna, but there's nothing else TO do." Tasha said

"We could go out and play in the snow." Jenna replied, with an impish smile.

"You and I both know that you don't have any clothes for the snow, Jen." Tricia stated, knowingly. "How about we watch Christmas movies instead?"

"Okay, I guess."

The two older girls looked at each other, and shrugged, Tricia getting the hot cocoa, and Tasha picking out a movie for Jenna.

Luckily for them, the girl's mom knocked on the door before all hell could break loose.

"Ms. Nathanson! You're early, we were just about to watch a Christmas movie."

"I'm sorry girls, but I have to take Jenna with me to the store, we're picking out a surprise for her grandmother."

"Oh it's alright, maybe another time."

"Yes, maybe." Ms. Nathanson said with a smile, leaving the girls. Tasha let out a relieved huff and leaned against the door frame.

"Where'd Jenna go?" Tricia asked.

"Her mom came and picked her up."

"Thank god!"

"I know right?"

"Girls?" Maura called from the hallway.

"Yes mom?" They replied in unison.

"I just spoke to Lorelei; they are snowed in and won't be making it here. Jackson, though, should be here soon, and Mike is on his way with Sofia."

"What about Ma?" Tricia asked, sharing a look with her sister.

"I haven't heard from her…"

A knock interrupted the moment and Maura went to open the door. "Hey mom" was heard, and three people made their way in, Jackson, Mike and Sofia making themselves known. A smile graced the lips of Jackson, who immediately hugged his baby sisters, happy to see them. Mike and Sofia followed suit, and then they all hugged their mother.

"Hey mom, you're lookin good." Jackson said a smile on his face.

"Yeah, you look great." Mike agreed, a giant grin on his face.

"Thank you boys, What do you want?"

"Hey! Can't a guy just tell his mom she looks good?" Jackson asked

"Not when said son is on his way to becoming a lawyer!" She responded quickly.

"Aw shucks mom, you know that's not why I'm saying it." Mike replied, smartly.

"No, but you probably do want something." Sofia said to her brother, and apparently not jokingly.

"Should we talk about what your issue is Sof?" Mike said, glaring at his sister

"Oh yeah? What's my issue Mike? Huh? Why don't you tell me!"

"you're just in a pissy mood because Matt knocked you up and left you like last week's dinner!"

"At least I have dated someone! No one wants you! Oh that's right! You haven't even left the closet so someone can date you!"

"YOU KNOW WHAT!? I-"

"CHILDREN! ENOUGH ALREADY!" Maura shouted, earning deafening silence from her children. "Michael! Leave your sister alone! And Sofia Angel, you don't need to goad your brother like that! And I had no idea that I would be having a grandchild so soon! We will talk about this later!"

Jackson walked Trisha and Tasha into the other room while Maura took Mike and Sofia upstairs to defuse the situation.

"So uh… Nice weather we're having here." Jackson said, a small smirk playing on the corner of his mouth.

Trisha and Tasha burst into laughter, unable to contain it after the argument and the silly weather talk. Yes, snow had a weird way of affecting the Isles-Rizzoli family.

I don't know whether I should continue this small one shot series or not, the last couple chapters no one has reviewed or seemed to have read. If there is something you guys want to read I can write it if you give suggestions, and I know it's taking me awhile to update sometimes, but I have a lot going on right now, and priorities you know?
