Hey guys! So, I am finally back with the newest chapter and I really hope you guys enjoy it even though it is a little short. I just didn't want to add anything in this particular chapter, but I will try to make the coming chapters longer and I'm thinking about whether or not I should have a timeline of maybe what happens a year later from here, but probably after chapter 13 most likely I will do that...

Enjoy, my darling angels! I absolutely love writing this particular fanfiction because the idea is just wonderful in my opinion, lmaoo.

"Bloody hell," Klaus said aloud as he got on his knees and held the blonde against his chest.

Caroline's head lolled to the other side and he looked over at her helplessly and without any idea as to what he was supposed to do.

"Sweetheart," he whispered as he caressed her cheek.

When she didn't respond, he took out his phone and dialed his older brother's phone number.

Elijah answered on the first ring, "Niklaus?"

"I found Caroline." he answered gruffly. "We're in the gym and I need you to get me something sweet."

"Is Caroline alright?" Katherine called out, the worry evident in her voice.

"Just get here." He commanded. "And quickly if you please." He added before he hung up on them and looked down at the girl in his arms.

A couple of minutes later, the pounding of feet against the floor had him looking up. Elijah and Katherine came into view and he sighed in relief.

"Oh my god!" The brunette cried out as she quickly sat down on her knees and took ahold of her best friend's clammy hands. "What happened?" She asked, sounding frightened.

"He happened," Klaus announced, motioning to the scumbag that lay in a heap against the wall.

"Tyler," Katherine mumbled under her breath with a shake of her head. "What did he do? Please tell me he didn't hurt her."

"It's not my place to say," he told her, shaking his head.

"I am her best friend and though I know that you are trying to be honorable, I need to know. That son of a bitch ruined her life once and if he- if he…" She tried to say, but her voice cracked and Elijah wrapped his arms around her midsection in a show of support.

"I came on time." He simply told her as Elijah handed him a snickers bar.

Unwrapping it, he held Caroline up before he gave her a gentle, little shake.

"Open your mouth, love." He urged and when she did, he gave her the snickers bar.

Taking a small bite, Caroline chewed and eventually her eyes drifted open.

"Care," Katherine exhaled as she squeezed her hand. "I am so so sorry."

"It's not your fault." She whispered. "I should have been more careful."

"Don't you dare blame yourself for whatever that bloody sick bastard said, love. And truly I am so sorry about what I did a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't my place at all." Klaus told her, genuinely conflicted.

It seemed that at the moment, the blonde noticed Klaus and her jaw dropped slightly.

"You saved me?" She asked, the confusion evident in her voice as she bit down on her bottom lip anxiously.

"I did," he nodded. "I'm just sorry I couldn't stop this meeting from occurring between you and him."

"It's not your fault." She reassured him. "You made it here on time before he… Oh god, I think I'm going to be sick." The blonde cried out as she clutched her hand to her stomach and turned away from the trio before dry heaves began wracking her body.

"Caroline!" Katherine cried out as she clutched her best friend's shoulders.

"Just please… I want to go to my room. I need to rest, I need to forget."

"Katherine, give me your keys and I will take Caroline. You need to remain with Elijah and call the police or something."

"I'll take her to our dorm room and you remain here." Katherine argued.

"Do you see her? Your best friend is trembling all over and I don't think she is yet ready to walk, Katherine." He responded, the annoyance evident in his voice.

"I am made of sterner stuff." Caroline said weakly. "But right now, I rather you carried me. My legs seemed to have turned into jelly."

"Of course," he nodded as he held out his hand and waited for Katherine to give him the keys.

Reluctantly she did just that, but not before giving him one of her best bitch looks.

"Hurt her in anyway and I'll make sure you suffer how you ought to."

"Darling…" Elijah started. "Can we please put away the hostility towards one another? Caroline needs us all and it doesn't help with you being at my brother's throat every second of every day. We all know he messed up in the past, but that was the past."

"Fine," she shrugged. "We'll put the hostility away for the night, but seriously- be careful."

"Noted," he replied before he scooped the blonde into his arms.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she lay her head on his chest unable to keep her head up. Shortly thereafter, Caroline was fast asleep and Katherine was looking at the keys in his hand with a frown.

Then, the Brit made his way out of the building and out into the fresh air. Caroline's eyes remained closed and though he wanted to believe that she was sleeping peacefully, the fidgeting he identified made him realize that her nightmare was playing over and over in her head.

"It'll be alright, sweetheart." He whispered before he gave her a peck on the forehead.

Sighing in her sleep, she nuzzled closer to him and he shook his head, unable to comprehend why somebody would do such a thing. Though Klaus knew that he was a player, he never forced a girl to do anything and never would.

Also, he officially felt like a grade A ass because he was willing to take her to a competition that degraded women simply because she wore a pair of too big glasses and cardigans that swallowed her up…

"I'm sorry," he said aloud even though he knew that she couldn't hear him.

Once he got to her dorm building, he entered and made his way towards the elevator. When he was on her floor, his eyes landed on the DA who happened to be one of his past flames and he groaned in annoyance.

"Well, look who it is." She drawled, crossing her arms over her chest, not looking at the blonde he carried in his arms.

"You need to let me through, Desiree." He told her in all seriousness, not in the mood to flirt his way into her good graces.

"Nope," she shook her head. "You know the rules, handsome… No boys allowed in our humble abode." She shrugged, motioning for him to leave.

"Look, Desiree… I know that I dropped you a couple of days into our meeting one another, but right now I need you to let me pass. Caroline needs to be placed on her bed and I need to watch after her."

"It's not my fault that she can't hold her liquor, Klaus. You can leave her in the lobby and as soon as she rouses, she can surely find her way back to her dorm room without your help."

"And now I know why I dropped you quickly, Ree." He said ominously before he turned away from her and made his way back to the elevator.

"This isn't over!" She announced after him, but he simply kept walking.

When he was outside again, he decided that the next best place to take her would be his fraternity house.

And it would be perfect, considering that all his frat brothers were at the bonfire…

With that final thought in mind, he walked in the direction of his home with Caroline quietly in his arms.

Caroline's eyes shot open as the memories of what happened assailed her. Just as she was going to shout, the gentle hand on her arm strayed her.

"Relax, love." She heard a silken and accented voice say beside her.

Turning in the direction of the voice, she came face to face with Niklaus Mikaleson and her first thought was to demand why he was laying beside her, but then she remembered that if it weren't for him he- Tyler… He would have…

"Oh god," she said aloud as her eyes filled with tears and immediately he embraced her, running his fingers gently over her hair in a soothing manner.

"It's okay, love. It's okay, you're safe." He assured her and she wrapped her arms around him, even though she knew that she should hate him.

"You saved me," she said, her voice cracking.

"He'll get what he deserves, Caroline. I can promise you that I will personally do whatever it takes to have him tried and put behind bars. You should have never suffered at his hands, sweetheart. Never,"

"Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked, the confusion evident in her voice.

"I'm being nice because now I realize what an asshole I was to you… And I'm sorry for butting into your business with Aiden, I won't do it again."

"Aiden," she seemed to recall. "I- I don't know if I can be in a relationship right now." She confessed as she looked around Klaus's bedroom and her eyes landed on a beautiful landscape that had such fantastic detail.

"If you're not ready to be with Aiden, then I'm sure he'll understand. As badly as I don't want to admit it, I have to say that's he a pretty good bloke and you deserve the very best, Caroline."

"He is," she sighed. "Did you do that?" She wondered, standing up.

Once she was assured that she wouldn't fall to the floor in a heap, she took a couple of steps and stopped in front of the landscape.

"Yeah," he told her, coming up behind her. "Drawing and sketching is kind of my thing." He shrugged and she looked back at him with a small smile on her lips.

"I didn't know," she told him as she ran her fingers over the painting that looked as if it was three dimensional.

"How would you have known?" He questioned. "I mean since we first met, I was an arse to you as well as a prick."

"I can't argue you with you on that point." She notified, shrugging her shoulders.

"I'm sorry, Caroline… I truly am and I think I have been ever since that day you crashed my party in that kick ass dress of yours and beautiful heels." He chuckled. "But if you'll allow it, I would like it if you gave me another chance. I know that I don't deserve your friendship, but I want to prove myself. I want to show you that I'm not that stupid quarterback that treated you like shit. I seem to have been doing that a lot lately." He confessed, shaking his head in disappointment.

"People change," she said, turning in his direction before she put her hand on his arm and gave him a genuine squeeze.

"Do they?" He asked, suddenly sounding uncertain of himself as he looked at her hand that was on his arm.

"Yes," she reassured him. "People change, Klaus… And you're right on the score of you being an asshole that cared for nobody but himself, but I can see that you're not a lost case."

"Is that so?" He questioned, a small smile beginning to play on his full, plum-colored lips.

"Now don't go ruining that change you're starting to show." She joked and Klaus sighed in relief because the Caroline that he fancied seemed to have returned and he was genuinely relieved.

"I won't," he assured. "So, Caroline… Friends, maybe?" He wondered, holding his breath for her response.

"Friends," she smiled as they shook one another's hands.

There you have it, my beautiful people! So, in the next chapter I will have Katherine and Elijah come to Klaus's fraternity house most likely and the close friends will know what occurred and Caroline may just tell Klaus what Tyler did the year before to her.
