Ally
Oh, geez, it's Rocky, and he's heading for us. And he looks boiling mad…
Austin's face turns as red as a tomato as Rocky walks up to us. "Uh, hi," Rocky says awkwardly to me. "Do you wanna, uh, do… I dunno something?"
"Depends what you mean by something," I say, and cross my arms. "Like, wrie a song?" Rocky asks. "Nuh-uh," I answer. "You just wrote one! While I was asleep on the couch!" Austin's head perks up. "Ooh," he says excitedly, "I wrote a song, Ally! Do you want me to show you?" I shrug. "It better be better than your 'I Need a Song' song, because tat one was just awful."
Austin walks me back into the music room and picks up a random guitar, strumming a few notes and mocking the vocal warm-ups I had done one day, when I was recording a song for myself. I playfully punch his arm and laugh. He starts singing.
"You knock me off of my feet
Can hardly breathe
When you're around me I feel the heat
You steam up the mirrors
And make me shift gears
Sometimes I can't think all that clear
I'm loosing sleep
I'm counting sheep like
1, 2, 3, let's go
You hypnotize me
You mesmerize me
Way-o, way-o
Way over my head and I don't know what to do
'Cause I can't get enough of you
See girl you're like an equation
And I'm not good at math
You're very confusing
My hearts in a trap
I don't see your signs
Or see through the lines
And I just can't understand your mind
I'm loosing sleep
I'm counting sheep like
1, 2, 3, let's go
You hypnotize me (yes you do)
You mesmerize me
Way-o, way-o
Way over my head and I don't know what to do
'Cause I can't get enough of you (way-o)
You hypnotize me (yes you do)
You mesmerize me (way-o)
Way-o, way-o
Way over my head and I don't know what to do
'Cause I can't get enough of you."
Austin
I cautiously turn my head toward Ally. Her eyes look somewhat watery, and I feel awful. "Oh no," I cry, "you hate it!"
Ally chuckles. "No, I don't hate it, Austin," she says. "I love it. It's just- well, now that you can write amazing songs, you don't need me anymore, don't you?" She sniffles and walks out the door.
"Ally, uh, Ally?" I say, and follow her. Ally quickens her pace and keeps walking. I grab her arm and say, "Ally, that's my FIRST decent song in FIFTEEN years, and I'm not going to wait another fifteen for a new one." Ally smiles. "Okay," she replies. I smile back.
Author's Note: Sorry it's so short! But all of a sudden I just needed to end the chapter for some reason! So, yeah! I'll try to make the next chapter longer!
Please review!
