Disclaimer: Teen Titans= not mine.

A/N: Told you guys the updates would be frequent. To make up for the lost time, I figured I'd give a treat and post 2 chapters today. Happy Readings!

"That took a lot of balls Andrews," Rachel said as she was catching up with me down the hall from Rouge's class.

"Hardy har har Rache. I almost lost my shit back there."

I peered over my back to be sure we were not followed. I looked at the wrong time. Dick locked eyes with mine and walk the opposite direction.

I sighed. I hate confrontation. I've never been good at it, but then again everyone has their limit at which point nothing matters.

"Well…you have 2 more days Anrews. We either get our asses going on your new dress or we go….shopping," Rachel said, hesitating on the last word.

I gasped, " My oh my, is Rachel Roth coming to the bright side?"

"Take it or leave it Andrews," she said with a smirk.

"Haha..and miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime? I don't think so."

"She sighed deeply, "Shit! I was afraid of that."

I Laughed. "Rache, you of all people should know be by now." I sent her a wink.

Though I joke with Rachel and try to keep smiling, inside I ache to hold HIM and go back to the way things were before the stupid debacle. Hell, there has been several times where I've almost dialed his number just out of habit. But I need to get through this.

After school Rachel and I ended up at Micheal's arts and crafts.

"Kori, did I ever tell you you're my best friend ever?"

I couldn't resist a laugh. "Rache, sorry to say but I'm your only friend ever, and why do you ask?"

"Touché. Well, it's because this is way more inspiring and entertaining than a pointless trip to that abomination. (*Meaning the mall.) In all honesty, I wonder what keeps these bimbos from bashing their heads in when they go to listen to their friends bitch about their imaginary body fat and lack of choices."

As I've said before, Rachel has a dark sense of humor.

"Bleak much," I said in my snarky voice. I caught a grin as we made out way to the materials aisle. And voila!

Right smack in front of me was the material I needed for my vision.

"Perfect!" I said as I grabbed several yards of it.

After Micheal's, Rachel pulled up to my house at which point she retrieved a bag from her back seat and handed it to me.

"Aww Rache, no more dress up." I sounded like a whiny child.

"Shut up and take it Kor. Trust me, it will be a great help to your dress."

I opened the dark bag with white tissue paper and pulled out a sparkly, purple, and fitted strapless dress. It appears to be the length that reaches an inch or two above my knees.

I was amazed by how close it fit to my newest concept.

"Rachel, how-"

"I took a peek at your sketch pad. Figured that 4 days was not going to be enough so, you're welcome." She replied.

I sighed. "Rachel, are you sure this is a good idea? I mean honestly, don't think that because I crawled out of bed these past few days it means I'm ok."

"I know you're not Kori…or did you forget what I went through?" She said in a serious tone. She made me think for a moment.

"Look," she continued, " just do what you can with it, okay? And if by Friday you call and still don't feel up to it then Gar and me will have to keep you posted."

Though I know her intentions were to reassure me, I was not convinced. Her face was proving otherwise.

"Ok Rache, but no promises. I'll see you tomorrow," I said as I got off her car and started to walk up the steps. Then she drove away.

Once the keys unlocked the door to my haven, I went straight to my room and got to work on Prom dress part deux.

As days went by, and Dick's face was barely seen anymore. I couldn't help but be worried.

"Rachel, I don't think it would hurt to call and check up!" I said to Rachel as we debated my next move.

"Kori, we did not go through this whole week making you a hot and feisty presenter and recreated a prom dress for nothing. Trust me, once he see's you tomorrow night he'll regret he ever decided to go to that damn charity event in the first place."

As I've said before, time flies when you're in senior year.

I couldn't help but feel an achy pang in my chest. As much as I wanted to make Dick pay for his stupidity, my emotions right now consisted of guilt and depression at the fact that we had made plans for enjoying tomorrow night.

I can feel my eyes cloud up again as Rachel and I walked together from my locker towards the exit. It's officially Friday.

"Oh no…no,no,no. None of that Korina. I thought we were making some progress dammit," said Rachel as we continued down the halls of Gotham Prep.

"Shit Rache, don't you think I'm trying?" Yeah, I'm definitely irritable.

"Look, tomorrow's the night, maybe things will change for the better," She said sounding a bit upset.

"Really rache? After a whole week?" All I received was a sigh. That's odd.

Aside from that shocker, we both came across another in a matter of seconds: a group of cops are blocking the entrance from the paparazzi and news reporters.

"What the hell?" we both said in unison.

And out from the office comes Bruce Wayne, Commissioner Gordon and….Barbara!? All of them looking like they're gonna lose their shit.

Bruce noticed Rachel and me. He looked at me apologetically and proceeded to leave with the commissioner and a crying Barbara.

"Uh…what was that all about?"

I was too stunned to answer, but she was right. What happened? Why did Bruce look sorry? And was it just me or was Barbara handcuffed?

A/N: Sorry this is short guys but I really hope that I'm pulling this story together. Keep on Reviewing guys, I could definitely use some tips at this point as I bring this story to an end. So….what did ya'll think with Barbara? Sound fair? Lol well Coming soon: The Prom. DUN DUN DUUUUUHHHH!
