Warning: Major Character Death (I will make it all better tho. I promise)

Peggy took a deep breath, trying to blink away the gold clouding her vision. She was watching a battle take place from a distance, unable to move as she watched a group of Chitauri throw Steve to the ground, their fingers stabbing at Steve's face and chest as they yanked back his cowl. Peggy tried to move, or at least to tear her eyes away from a bloody Steve.

She tried to tell herself that it was fake, that the Badwolf was trying to toy with her emotions. But Peggy knew this was one of the possible outcomes for the inevitable battle against the Chitauri.

The Badwolf was there, standing next to Peggy. And another girl, who had just emerged from a battle of some sort, given the state of disarray she was in.

Peggy watched helplessly as Natasha, the only person nearby, ran over to Steve in an attempt to help, she fired a Chitauri weapon she had stolen earlier. She wounded one Chitauri before another appeared behind her. Natasha spun around, nearly staggering, she was weak from injures acquired earlier in the battle. Peggy managed then to break her gaze.

Natasha didn't even scream as she died.

She spun around to face the Badwolf, her trance broken.

"Why are you showing me this?" Peggy demanded. The girl next to her shook her head sadly.

The Badwolf stared past Peggy, watching the scene below.

"Sacrifices." The Badwolf paused, it's voice revealed no emotion. "That woman, Natalia had tried to erase the deaths she had caused. Natalia wasn't supposed to die here." The Badwolf took a step forwards, towards the edge of the tall building. Slowly it sat down on the crumbling ledge, a small frown on it's face.

"I could have saved this planet. But Loki would never forgive me if I destroyed his Rose." Peggy sensed longing in it's voice by the way it said Loki's name. Could it be the Badwolf had a crush?

"She wouldn't appreciate being called his Rose." Peggy muttered slightly. The girl next to Peggy laughed, which startled Peggy, who had nearly forgotten anyone else was near. Peggy glanced at the girl, realizing it was Oswald.

"Are the Tylers safe?" Peggy demanded, trying to block out the screams of the people dying below, the few people who had decided to fight with the Avengers were not faring well.

"Yes." Clara replied, moving to sit by the Badwolf.

"Is this it?" Clara asked so softly Peggy could barely hear her.

"Yes." Was the Badwolf's reply. Clara leaned forwards slightly. Peggy lunged forwards, expecting Clara to fall off the building.

"I didn't get to speak with him this time." Him?

"A pity." The Badwolf's voice was monotone.

"Peggy," Clara turned back to face Peggy. The Badwolf silently watched as the sun began to set. "Take care of him." The serious moment was gone after that and Clara smiled at her, a kind, open smile. She stood up cheerfully. (Even if Clara winced slightly as she put weight on her left foot, Peggy had a feeling Clara's foot was broken or at least sprained. She wondered how long the battle had been happening before being whisked here.)

"Let's go defeat the Chitauri."

LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS. TO DEFEAT THE HUNS-I MEAN CHITAURI

This is part one of chapter twelve. (Okay I really only broke this chapter up bc ive had that song stuck in my head for like three weeks.)

Angels in the Tardis: Thanks for reviewing again!:) the next few chapters will have Roski in it. I've recently been overcome by Roski feels (again) so I wanna make 50000 different fanfics about them but I can't come up with the best plots. Oh well! (And yes, Roski forever!:)) do you ever listen to Say Something and think of Roski? 'Cause that's like the song I've personally assigned to them.

If anyone has noticed flaws about my writing they'd like to point out please let me know, I really want to improve.
