When Ciel agreed to take part in the shooting, he didn't know that it would be this long. They had been taking photos of him and Sebastian for hours now in different clothes. It wouldn't have been that bad if he didn't need to wear women's clothes. He was glad that in reality he was a boy. This way, he didn't have to deal with the men in the studio. Did he…?

Anyway, whenever he felt like giving up, he just looked at Sebastian, who always encouraged him with his smile. Like always, it gave him energy, despite the fact that it was now official that they were just… friends. But then, why did his chest hurt every time he thought about it? Why couldn't he get rid of his feelings…?

'Because you are in love.' told the voice inside his head. And Ciel knew that it was right.

The same could be said about Sebastian. He was always the best at his work, but whenever he looked at Ciel, he just couldn't concentrate properly. The boy was the only thing that was going around his mind. He was already beautiful in his normal clothes, but now… He was gorgeous! He wished that they could take pictures with Ciel as a boy, but it was satisfying for now. When they ordered them to pose with the boy in the man's lap, his palm on Sebastian's chest and the other around his neck, while the man is holding Ciel's back and waist, he just wished they could have stayed like that for hours. Why was he born the prince of Hell?

Looking back at the pictures shocked not only William, but the models as well. Sebastian and Ciel really looked like a couple, their poses realistic with real emotions. It needn't be said that both of them could make faces like that. These were their real feelings: love and passion for each other.

"Well, Michaelis, I wouldn't have thought that I would say something like this one day, but… thank you…" said William while adjusting his glasses, not looking at said man. "It looks like your idea with the boy worked. We just need to send the pictures to the queen and we will see how she reacts to them."

Sebastian couldn't help the grin from his face. William accepted Ciel, this was something.

When he glanced at said boy, he was not surprised to see him with his arms folded and a menacing look on his face. He lifted his arms in surrender with a chuckle.

"Alright Ciel, you can take these clothes off now."

A relieved sigh left the boy's lips then he nodded to William, who returned the gesture.

After he made sure that the boy left into the confine of the changing room, William turned to Sebastian with a serious face. "So, who is this boy actually?"

The other man just raised an eyebrow at that. "What do you mean? I don't think I need to tell you what he is, you can sense it."

"I will ask again then. Who is he? I'm sure he is no relative of yours."

Sebastian couldn't help sighing. "You are right, he is not. I found him on the streets alone some weeks ago. According to him, his parents are dead and I'm sure he had a though past, judging from his reactions sometimes. But I cannot tell you more. I wish I knew too…"

"Well, if you know who his parents are, maybe we could search them up and-"

"Oh my, the famous 'I will not help a vermin like you' is actually willing to help a demon?" Sebastian asked with a grin, causing the other to adjust his glasses in embarrassment.

"Like I would. I just want to check who he is. If we find how his parents died, maybe we could get to know more about him."

"Are you saying this because you want to help him? Or do you just want to find a reason to kill him?" Sebastian asked with a serious expression.

"Unlike another someone, I don't find him the type who would kill random innocent people just to suck the life out of them. I don't think he even knows he should do that…"

"Well, as he is still partly human, I can understand that. Normal food is satisfying for him as well. He hasn't complained about being hungry yet."

Before William could reply, the door to the changing room opened, revealing Ciel, now in his normal clothes.

"We will talk about this later." the reaper added before turning away and going to continue his job.

Ciel just looked after him with a raised eyebrow, looking up at his master, who chuckled.

"I think he still has to comprehend that a demon was his saviour."

The boy just shrugged and took out his notebook.

'Can we go now?' I have had enough for one day…'

This just resulted in another chuckle from the older man. "Yes, we can. And as a reward for your hard work, we can even stop at the confectionery."

Not another word needed to be said, as Ciel looked up at him with beaming eyes. Sebastian knew how to make him happy after his sullen mood.

Suddenly, a ringing stopped them. The older man took his phone out and frowned when he saw who it was.

"What is it Claude…?"

"You need to come home."

"Now? But we have just finished with the shootings and I promised Ciel that I would take him to the confectionery."

"It is urgent."

Sebastian just sighed. "Alright. We will be there in ten minutes."

He hung up and found that Ciel was looking at him with a frown.

"I think our cake reward is cancelled for now. Claude told me that there is some urgency at home…" The boy's eyes widened at that, but Sebastian just waved his hands.

"Don't worry, it's not like someone wanted to attack us. Once, he called me saying the same thing and it turned out that he just couldn't use the stove properly and ended up blowing up the food, making a huge mess in the kitchen." he chuckled.

'Wait… what was Claude doing in your house?'

Sebastian started walking to not be late, while explaining. "Well, as I already told you, we are really close friends, so I can trust him. I gave him the spare keys to the house, so he could get in if anything happened."

Ciel thought about it for a moment, but after that just nodded in understanding. He was also close to his master, so why didn't he get a key yet? Especially taking the fact that he now lived there too! What if they arrived home separately or Sebastian went somewhere alone! When he realised that he was kind of jealous of Claude, he shook his head to get rid of the thought, looked out the window and just enjoyed the scenery. However, he wondered what the urgency could be…

When Sebastian entered the house, he was shocked to say the least. There was Claude, sitting on his couch, with a teenage boy, around Ciel's age in his lap. The boy was clutching the older man's shirt and was hiding his head between his shoulder and neck. He could only see that he had short blonde hair and a rather big shirt and an underwear on him. He guessed that they were Claude's. But was the most shocking was that the boy had two cat ears on the top of his head and a long tail, wagging around behind him – both the same colour as his hair.

Claude looked up when he heard the door closing.

"Alright, this time I agree that it is urgent…" Sebastian murmured, but now with a serious face as he went to the others, kneeling down to be at the same level as the boy. He seemed to be shaking.

"What happened?" he asked as he looked up at Claude.

"I was just wondering around the streets last night when I felt someone's presence behind me. I didn't care about it, but when I felt that they tried to attack me, but I struck first. I grabbed them by the collar of the shirt and it turned out to be this boy. As you can see, he is also a cat demon, like Ciel and-"

"Ciel?" the blonde looked up with a shocked expression, surprising both men. Now that he thought about it, said boy wasn't beside them. When he turned around, he was shocked to see Ciel rooted to the ground at the door, his eyes wide, hand shaking and… was that a tear forming on his good eye?

"Ciel, are you alright?" he asked. Before he could do anything however, the blonde boy shot his face suddenly towards them and when his eyes stopped on the other boy, he jumped up from Claude's lap and ran to him.

"CIEL!"

If it wasn't for the door behind them, the two boys would have ended up at the floor from the swing of the blonde, who jumped on Ciel and wrapped his arms around him tightly. "I thought you were dead!" It was clear that he was crying as his voice cracked and when he buried his face in the other's chest, they could hear him sobbing. The other boy didn't move at first, but after some seconds he closed his eyes and returned the hug.

After some minutes of the blonde crying, they were able to settle down – the boys on the couch, with the blonde still clutching Ciel; and the men opposite them, sitting on chairs.

"So, who are you?" Sebastian asked, eyeing the blonde with a frown. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but it was obvious that he was jealous of him. He wanted to cuddle with Ciel as much as possible too.

"My name is Alois Trancy. Claude has already told me that you are demons. As you can see, I am part human, part cat demon, like Ciel."

"Judging by your reaction, you already know each other." Sebastian observed, still with a serious expression.

Ciel had his ears flattened and his head bowed. He had to admit, his master was scary like that. Alois looked at the boy, but when he saw that he wouldn't talk, he sighed.

"We… we were held captive and…" he gulped and took some seconds to continue. "…experimented on at the same place…"

Both men's eyes widened. "Experimented…?" asked Claude.

"Now that you mention it… Ciel told me that he was not born like this…" Sebastian said.

Alois nodded, but both boys started to shake by now. Sebastian now had a guess as to why Ciel was so scared before.

"Those guys did it… they said that demons had a taste for cats, so it would be easier to summon one like this…" the blonde explained, but his voice got quieter every second. It was really painful to remember, it made both boys shiver with fear.

"It would be good to know more, but I can see that it hurts you, so it's enough for now. We will return to this conversation later." Sebastian said while getting up and going into the kitchen.

Alois turned his head towards Ciel, who still had his head bowed. Now that he was calmer, he could observe the boy. He was glad that he had found someone to live with and was healthy, but was wondering why he needed an eye patch.

"Ciel… what happened to your eye…?"

Said boy's eyes widened and clenched his fists. If someone could understand, that would be Alois… He was there that time, just didn't see the demon itself. He was already unconscious by then. He finally could get rid of some pain by telling someone, but… He couldn't… It had happened already before and he didn't want it to happen again…

He was finally free. Maybe just for a few hours, but he could return to the human world. He needed to suffer a lot for this, but it was as if a wish came true. It was worth it. He was already used to the pain.

He was told not to contact anyone he knew. Not that he had anyone left… He could just think of two people, but they were in another city, so there was no chance he could meet them.

He was wondering the town when suddenly he heard someone shouting his name. When he turned around, he was shocked to see a girl with two long curly blonde ponytails running towards him.

It couldn't be…

"Lizzy…?!"

He found himself in the arms of the girl the next moment. Her hug had gotten even stronger and she had become taller, but he didn't mind. It was so nice to be with someone he loved again. He returned the hug and felt some hot fresh tears rolling down his face. He swore that he would not cry again. He had been through a lot and learnt not to let any tears fall. He succeeded until now, but seeing Lizzy again broke his well-built wall.

"Ciel, you don't seem well. We need to take you to a hospital!" Lizzy exclaimed when they let go of each other and she was able to see him. He had many bruises and dark circles under his eyes. Not to mention the dirt, like if he had been on the streets for weeks.

"NO! We can't go there! Anywhere, but a hospital!" Ciel said while clutching the girl's top with a desperate face.

Lizzy had never seen her cousin like that before. She was curious what made him like that. She was still worried about him, but at least he wasn't bleeding, so maybe they could take care of him at her home. She sighed. "Alright, but at least come home with me. We can take care of your injuries there."

It took some consideration for Ciel, but in the end he nodded. It would be nice to feel at home again. If just for a few hours.

The Middleford manor was just like he remembered it. But it had not been his home; that was already burnt to ashes. He had been at his cousin's place a lot when he was young, so it was like another home for him.

Lizzy guided him to the room he always stayed in as a child and helped him sit down on the bed. She could see that this small movement hurt the boy. She quickly ran into the bathroom and returned with a first aid kit. Already being sixteen years old, she knew some things about taking care of injuries. She helped Ciel take off his shirt and started to wash his bruises with a cold towel. It stung at first, but was much better than the pain he felt before. The ointment she applied after that helped him relax a lot. When she wanted to adjust his hair so she could see his right eye, Ciel suddenly recoiled. When Lizzy tried again he just grabbed her hand gently and put it back to her side, shaking his head. Lizzy didn't understand, but if the boy didn't want it, she wouldn't force him.

After everything was ready, she sat down beside him and hugged him again. He felt the boy relax beside her, hugging her back, and sighing with relief.

"Ciel… what happened to you? You have been gone for three years now…"

Another silence followed. Ciel glanced at the clock and saw that he still had a couple hours left in his stay. It would help a lot if he could tell it to someone. Satan wouldn't get to know about it.

"It will be a lot to handle, but alright. But I warn you, it won't be pleasant…"Lizzy nodded and let go of her cousin to let him continue. Ciel sighed and then started his story. "As you already know, our manor was burnt down by someone unknown. When I tried to search for my parents, I found them in the study, already dead, half of their bodies already burnt…" It was hard at the beginning, but it was getting easier every second. "When I tried to go in, I was stopped by Tanaka, but the next thing I knew, I was grabbed from behind and he was… stabbed…" the pictures of the memory hurt, so he needed to stop for a little.

He felt Lizzy's hand on the top of him and when he looked up, he saw her smile."Old man Tanaka is alright. His body was found and was taken to hospital. It was hard, but they could save his life. He wasn't willing to work for another family however, and his injury had some consequences, so he retired. Now he is living happily in a family house on the outskirts."

Ciel remembered how Tanaka loved the nature and taking care of the animals of the manor, so he was sure what Lizzy said was true. He was happy for him too.

"And… what happened after that…?" Lizzy asked with a sad expression, squeezing the boy's hand to help him relax.

"I…" Ciel gulped, but continued anyway. "I was sold in an auction and next, I woke up in a cage with other children around me, surrounded with more cages in a dark basement. Their expressions were dead or frightened. Firstly I didn't know where I was, but in the end, it turned out that it was the hiding place of a secret cult, who wanted to summon the devil himself…. and we were the lambs for that…"

Lizzy's eyes widened. That explained the scars on Ciel's body. If only she knew that half of them were there from different cases.

"But… how did you escape from a place like that? If they had been successful, you wouldn't be here then, would you…?"

Ciel remained silent for a few seconds, but after a sigh he reached for the cap he got to hide his true identity and removed it to reveal his cat ears to the girl, who gasped and stared at her cousin with wide eyes.

"They studied demonology. We were lab rats to them. Some of us didn't even make it, the drugs were too much. At the end, they were able to make a substance that turned us into half cat demons. The perfect bait for a demon…"

Lizzy raised a shaking hand to touch the boy's cat ear. It was fluffy to the touch and he fluttered at the gentle feeling. It was strange for him. He only was treated rough before. "They are… cute…" the girl said with a smile, making the boy return the same expression. He was glad to hear that his cousin wasn't freaked out or anything. It was as he expected: telling someone helped him lift a weight from his shoulders.

"At the end, all of us were almost dead, the pain and blood loss was too much. However, one day something happened. When I was… the next… to be sacrificed… everything went dark suddenly. All the lights broke and there were just some candle lights remaining. It was as if time had stopped. I looked around and there was a dark figure coming towards me. It had glowing red eyes. I immediately realised that they were successful. The demon arrived to eat us all and help those people. But… it stopped before me and told me that I summoned him from despair. When I asked him why me when dozens of us have already tried to ask for help, he told me that I was the most intriguing because of my strength and courage. He offered to help me in return for my soul. I didn't know what I was agreeing to at first. I was just thinking about the other children, so I agreed at some conditions. He would kill all the people responsible for our sufferings and save the remaining children. He was shocked, but still made the deal at last. After that I only remember pain and the next time I woke up, I was in a totally different place. It turned out to be Hell… I found a mirror and…"

Ciel lifted his fringes from his right eye and slowly opened them, causing Lizzy to gasp again.

"It's the proof of the contract I made with the demon. I was later informed that I was left alive because he wanted to keep me as his pet. They told me that it would worth it as no demon would try to hurt me if I was with him and that I would gain power if I was willing to follow every one of his orders."

Lizzy was just gaping for some minutes, blinking sometimes. The boy could easily understand, that must be hard to comprehend. Suddenly, fresh tears appeared at the corner of the girl's eyes and she hugged Ciel again tightly, crying at his chest.

"I'm so sorry Ciel! I didn't know that you had to go through this much!" she suddenly stopped and looked up at him with a serious expression. "But don't worry. We will protect you from now. You will be safe with us!"

Before Ciel could reply however, suddenly the lights went off and the doors of the balcony opened, strong wind rushing in, making the room as cold as ice.

'It shouldn't be this cold…' the boy thought, but froze when he heard a familiar chuckle echo through the room.

"What a naïve child you are. Do you even know what power we demons have?"

"Who are you?" Lizzy asked, her voice not wavering at all. Ciel was sorry for her, if she only knew who she was talking to. He put his arms around her protectively.

"Don't hurt her. She has nothing to do with this."

Suddenly, he was thrown through the room from a force, gasping as the air left his lungs.

"CIEL!" Lizzy exclaimed, but before she could reach him, she found herself in strong arms holding her down.

Ciel coughed, wincing, but still looked up at the demon. "Please… she is my only relative left beside my aunt! She did nothing wrong!"

The arm around the girl's throat tightened, causing her to gasp and shut her eyes from pain. "This is what you get for disobeying and opening your mouth."

Before he could utter another word, a hand shot through Lizzy's chest then threw her to the floor with a thud.

"LIZZY!" Ciel exclaimed, fresh tears appearing at his eyes. Lizzy looked up at him with her last bit of life and smiled while crying.

"I love you Ciel…" she said before closing her eyes, the smile never leaving her face.

"Lizzy! Lizzy!" He tried to run to her, but was grabbed by the back of his collar and lifted from the ground.

"It's time to bring you home." said the demon with a dark voice, before taking the boy away.

That was the day Ciel decided to pretend to be mute if he was ever going to meet someone important to him again.

Ciel shook his head. He wouldn't be a fool again. It was enough to watch one close person die. Sebastian knew, because he was the son of that bastard. But he wouldn't risk him being attacked by the king as well. He was suddenly grabbed by the shoulder by a desperate Alois.

"Ciel! Why won't you talk to me?!"

"I'm sorry to inform you, but Ciel is mute now." That was the moment when Sebastian came in, with two mugs in his hands.

Alois' eyes widened as he looked at said boy, who bowed his head.

Sebastian sighed. "I know it must be hard for you to handle so suddenly, but don't worry, you are in safe hands now. I'm sure Claude will take care of you. But we will discuss everything later. I brought warm milk for you. I'm sure it will help you calm your nerves."

Ciel gratefully took the mug and started to sip the milk, sighing with his eyes closed as the fluid went through his system, calming and warming him up.

Alois was a little bit hesitant, but when he got a nod from Claude, he took hold of his mug too and tasted it. His eyes widened. There was honey in it! It was so sweet and calming. He immediately started to drink the remaining milk.

"We need to buy some things for you Alois, I think. We will come back soon, just rest until then." Claude told as he caressed the boy's cat ears, earning a purr in return.

The men got up and grabbed their jackets.

"We are leaving a key here, in case you need something." Claude told the boys before he opened the door.

"Bye boys~" Sebastian waved with a smile, the other man just bowing his head.

When he heard the door has close, Alois turned to Ciel with a smile.

"I'm glad you have found someone like him. He seems nice."

Ciel got up and brought his notebook.

'If you knew how much. He was the one who saved me and… accepted me no matter what I did. He even took me to his workplace today, so I was able to gain some money. And he always knows how to make me happy. You must taste his cakes one day!'

Alois saw the smile on the boy's face as he was writing. He was shocked at first, but was glad that his friend had someone to rely on. After reading the message, he looked up at him.

"Ciel… do you love him?"

Said boy's eyes widened at first, but after some seconds, he nodded. He was shocked to feel two arms wrap around him.

"I'm glad then."

Ciel couldn't help, but smile as well. It was a really good feeling to see his friend alive. He didn't know what happened to the children after the incident. He hoped that every one of them found a place for themselves. He only found some of them in Hell, but with much better owners. He wished he could have the same fate. But maybe, he still had the chance.

He really wanted to ask Alois how he was able to survive until now without a family, but that meant that the needed to explain his story too. And there was no way he was going to make the same mistake again.

His worries stopped when he felt the arms around him loosen and heard the boy yawn. The milk must have taken effect. He had to admit, he felt relaxed as well, especially with his friend with him.

"Alright, I have to admit that this place really was the perfect choice." Claude said with a sigh as they entered the building.

"Told you so. I'm sure Alois will love his new things too~" Sebastian winked at him, earning a scoff in return. "Don't be like that, I know that you have always been jealous of Ciel and wanted an own cat demon for yourself!" he chuckled.

The other man just turned his head away to hide his blush, causing Sebastian to laugh again.

"Ah Sebastian, what a surprise!" came a voice from the elevator. When the two man arrived, it turned out to be Madame Red, so they just smiled at her.

"It's good to see you again. You seem pretty happy. Has something happened?" Sebastian asked.

"Oh, so it's that obvious? Yes, my dear niece has just arrived back from college and will stay at my place for some weeks." the woman beamed.

"That's lovely to hear. I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves then."

The elevator arrived with a tinkling voice and they got out.

"Come over sometime with your boy, if you wish, dear. I'm sure they would get along well with Lizzy." Madame Red smiled.

"Thank you for the offer, I will ask Ciel about it. You see, he is still a bit shy. But meeting someone of his age might help him." Sebastian replied with the same expression.

"Have a good day then!" the woman waved before going inside her home.

When Sebastian and Claude opened their door, a surprise was waiting for them. The former smiled,

and the latter was standing there shocked.

Ciel and Alois were sleeping on the couch, with the blonde's arms around the other. They wondered how they could sleep while sitting, but they were cute. Claude saw a flashing from the corner of his eye. He didn't need to think much to realise that Sebastian took a picture of the two. They didn't want to wake them up, so they just sat down in the kitchen to talk.

After about an hour, they heard some groaning from the hall. They got up and saw Alois rubbing his eyes tiredly, while Ciel was stretching.

"Good to see that you are awake. How did you sleep?" asked Sebastian.

"Haven't slept so well in ages!" Alois beamed, while Ciel just nodded.

"Well, while you were sleeping peacefully, we finished with the shopping. Do you want to see what we bought you, Alois?"

Said boy's eyes started to sparkle as he jumped up and waggled his tail from excitement, causing Sebastian to chuckle.

Claude brought the bags from the kitchen and put them on the table before the boys. They bought a green collar with beautiful jewels in it, which Alois loved from the first second. He gave it to Claude and asked him to put it on him, who gladly obeyed. Sebastian smiled, he was glad that his friend has finally found someone for himself. Maybe they have just met, but he could feel that those two were made for each other, like soulmates. And to their surprise, Ciel smiled too. His friend was alive and has found a much better future than he thought they would five years before. And he was sure that Alois would be able to find love thanks to the man.

After some hours, Alois was finished with looking through his things. He ended up organising a show with his new clothes on, then played with the games excitedly. No matter how they tried to resist, their cat side was always curious and glad to play.

However, one thing got Sebastian's attention as well. Ciel was usually just watching his friend play – except if Alois called him to join him - , but when Claude took out a pen like thing, the boy's ears perked up as well. He didn't know what they were used for at first, but when he pushed a button, a red spot appeared on the floor, being attacked by both boys in seconds. The man just moved the light around the room, the boys chasing and trying to attack it all the time. Sometimes they ended up colliding, but they just laughed - Ciel smiling - and turned back to their hunting.

Sebastian suddenly grabbed Claude by the shoulder. "What the hell is that thing?"

The other man was surprised at first, but seeing his friend's expression, he guessed that his pet hasn't played much before. "You may not know, as I was suggested to buy it as well, while you were wondering around the shop. This is a laser, which perks cats' attention up. I don't know how it works exactly either, but the shop keeper explained to me that it feels like a prey to them, so they try to catch it."

Sebastian knew what he would buy the next day.

No matter how much they enjoyed each other's company, the night, unfortunately, had to come to an end, which meant that Claude and Alois needed to go home.

The two boys said their goodbyes through a hug. They still couldn't believe that both of them were alive and found each other, now living a happy life. Ciel didn't know how long it may last for him, but at the moment, he didn't care. He felt at home and loved, and that was what he had been craving for ages. It happened just as they had decided so many years ago in that cage.

The men just nodded to each other, but before they left, Claude still thanked Sebastian one last time for their help.

When he closed the door after them, Sebastian was shocked to feel two warm hands wrap around his waist.

"Ciel, what is it…?"

Said boy just looked up with a smile, shocking the older man. It was rare to see that expression. Did it mean that much to the boy to see his friend again? Judging by the fact that he was hugging him, maybe he was also grateful for something. Well, he was glad as soon as his pet was too.

"So, to celebrate today's events, what do you think about a cake? I think we still have time to make some muffins."

Ciel's eyes just beamed at that. His master said the magic words.

"Alright, let's cook then!" Sebastian announced with a chuckle.

True to his words, the muffins were ready in half an hour. Sebastian chose to make them with chocolate favour and some strawberry pieces inside them.

Ciel was happy to finally be able to eat the man's cooking again. He should have become a chef if not a model, it was perfect! He didn't even notice that he started to purr from happiness, until Sebastian chuckled.

"I'm taking it as a sign that you like them."

He earned a happy nod in return, the boy soon returning to his muffin, drinking some milk to complete the taste.

The two however had no idea that a certain angel was observing their happy moment.

"I see that you like milk, little kitty. Well, we will see how you'll like it with a little extra in it." she chuckled, holding a vial with some white liquid inside.

The dog – in its human form – joined her, gaining a pet on his head.

"Just wait Pluto, we will get our darling Sebastian back."
