"You got me all nervous. I thought you had done something stupid.'' - Niklaus Mikaelson The Vampire Diaries

Rogue couldn't help but pace back and forth in her chamber almost tripping every time on the silky white material of the gown she wore. Sure Lex had told her to relax and not worry, but how could she not they could all get killed because of her...for her.

"Syrena! Hold still it is bad enough you did not get enough sleep for the darkness under your eyes prove it so, but if you keep pacing you are surely to break an ankle for the dress is too long!" Kitty snapped.

"Kitty I do not care."

"You should since you cannot possibly run with a broken ankle let alone expect to escape to the harbor." Kitty hushed.

A tentative knock brought both girls to focus on getting the corset Rogue wore tied in the back.

"Come in." Rogue answered.

A tall blonde haired woman with a gown any prestigious woman of society would kill to have entered the room. Bestowed the crown of her golden mane was the most expensive piece of jewelry in the castle...well second best after the king's own crown. A golden crown encrusted in silver, rubies, and mother of pearl signified the queen's importance.

"My queen." Rogue said semi-bowing since the corset was so tight she could not breathe properly.

"Oh dear you shall call me by my name for you will be family by the end of the night." The queen smiled.

"Well until tonight I shall keep addressing you as queen." Rouge quipped.

"Very well. Lady Syrena I have came to you to give you my mother's Le Bijou du Roi as a token of acceptance and since I had no daughter the diamond goes to my son who in turn hands it to his bride, but as you know it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding."

"I cannot accept it my queen." Rogue declined.

"It is rightfully so and besides it is not cursed as everyone believes so." The queen answered moving behind her and placing the expensive and heaviest gem on her neck.

"Is that so? Is it not the same pendant Marie Antoinette wore the night she died?" Rogue asked.

"Yes, but worry not there is no curse now if you excuse me I must get ready for the ceremony."

"Of course." Rogue gave her a curt nod before the queen left.

When the queen left Carol stepped in with a hairpin that could easily rival her pendant in expense.

"What was that all about?" Carol asked.

"This." Rogue said pointing at her neck.

"Oh. My. God. The Le bleu du France keep that thing away from me." Carol cowered.

"Whatever." Rogue rolled her eyes.

Carol quickly made her way towards Rogue and gathered her 'hair' in a messy yet elegant bun and pinned it back with the clip ,which was about the size of her palm, and stuffing the thin veil in between her 'hair' and the clip being careful to not touch the chain of her pendant.

Just as quickly as Carol had made her way towards her she cowered to the other side of the room.

"Your shoes...?" Kitty trailed off.

"I shall wear the wretched slippers, but I will run barefoot when the time comes." Rogue answered indifferently.

Kitty nodded and made towards the door.

"Kitty I'm going with you I cannot be near that cursed stone." Carol piped up trailing after Kitty leaving Rogue alone to contemplate her future.

Another knock interrupted her thoughts saving her to thinking of all the possible errors that could happen in their very flawed escape plan.

"Come in."

Rogue was surprised to see a bundle of purple, white, and blue flowers peek into her room.

"Excusez-moi mademoiselle mais these are for you." A masculine voice said behind the flowers.

"Flowers for me?"

"You are Lady Syrena oui?" The man asked from behind the flowers making it impossible to put a face to the deliverer.

"Umm yes uh put it on the vanity." Rogue answered pointing to the vanity on her left.

"Oui mademoiselle." The man moved towards the vanity placing the bundle of flowers on it. Rogue turned to the mirror to admire the pendant around her neck.

The sound of a throat clearing snapped her out of her thoughts. She was too entranced with the stone she didn't bother to glance behind her.

"Yes?"

"If yah don't mind ah would like to add something of insignificance to your hair, it's just the designer in me would yah do me the honor of humoring me?" The man's rich accent-filled voice asked.

For some strange reason Rogue felt relaxed more relaxed than she had been in…well she can't remember why.

Peace is that a normal feeling to have before getting married? She should be worried for her friends and their plan, but she was too calm to feel worried.

She absentmindedly nodded, granting the strange man, who she still hadn't bother to look at, permission for something...she couldn't remember.

Soon she felt the rough callused skin of a man tickle the back of her neck and her hair was being pulled behind her ears. Looking up she saw a hue of purple and violet, so mesmerizing she couldn't help but only stare at the flower.

"It's called Le fleur de Passiflore also known as the sleep inducing plant."

" Passiflora incarnate." Rogue whispered before letting her eyelids slide shut losing the battle against the darkness.

Remy couldn't believe his luck either the royal family was really cocky, or they were just brain dead morons. How else would anyone leave the entrance wide open for common rift raft to walk in as they please, not that he was complaining since it made his job much easier. When he entered the hallway that led to the future queen's chambers he was surprised to see two servant girls scurry down the opposite way, but other than them there was no one around. Smirking he cradled the flowers in front of him making sure he took in little air with the passion flowers in his face. He made his way to the door and knocked.

"Come in." A feminine voice called.

He made his way in making sure he had the flowers close to the girl and away from his face. After she pointed towards a vanity he placed all the flowers on it. He plucked one of the bright purple flowers and twirled it in between his fingers.

"...humor me?"

He had been watching her the whole conversation yet she seemed so entranced with her reflection she didn't even bother to glance his way. He moved towards her with the flower and when she nodded he brushed his fingers against her neck. When she made no movement to stop him he tucked her hair behind her ear sticking the flower in between her ear and her hair.

"...Passiflora incarnate."

Almost immediately her eyelids dropped and her body gave out and he quickly caught her before her head hit the ground. He carried her to the bed and snatched the sheets to cover her body. He quickly gathered her up and looked out the door to make sure no one was around.

Unsurprisingly, there was absolutely no one around.

He closed the door behind him and walked down the hall with the bundle of blankets without any complication.

Shame really since he would have loved to cause some kind of ruckus, but business before pleasure this time around.

Once outside he casually dropped her into the carriage he had managed to snag earlier that morning and rode out the gates without a problem.

However, the palace was in an uproar.

"Where's the lady?"

"I bet she fled."

"...too much pressure."

"...poor thing."

Kitty was pacing back and forth hearing snippets of people's conversations and not believing what they would say.

Carol rushed into the room with a wild look in her eyes.

"Where could she be?! The plan was NOT this. Whatever this is!"

Kitty just kept pacing without really thinking.

"Kitty?! KITTY!" Carol screeched.

"What?!" Kitty snapped.

"Are you even listening?! The prince is livid he thinks Rogue ran." Carol shouted.

"She couldn't have." Kitty whispered.

"Of course she could and she did!"

"Shouldn't you be elated with this news?" Kitty asked snapping out of her trance.

"Of course, if the prince wasn't so hell bent in finding her and forcing her into this! At least if they thought she was kidnapped they wouldn't be sending a search party led by the prince himself!" Carol screeched.

"Whatever, deals off by the way." Kitty said walking out leaving the blonde seething in anger.

Kitty walked without really knowing where to go when she heard a set of footsteps behind her.

"So she did it again didn't she?" Lexa's voice resounded.

"Of course she didn't there has to be an explanation-"

"I can't believe you KITTY! Open your eyes Kit she just used us like she always does. She plays us like fools yet you continue to defend her, why?!"

"Because unlike You! I never bite the hand that fed me and I don't turn my back on my friends! When has she never came through for us huh? I trust her and-"

"Kitty be quite."

"No just because-"

"STOP! Shut up Kitty." Lexa commanded halting in her steps and bending down to pick something up.

"Something's wrong."

"Well...I told you so...wait I'm right?"

"Yes look." Lexa stood up showing Kitty a violet flower.

"Uhh huh ohh kaayy it's a flower." Kitty stated having no idea what a flower had to do with the situation.

"Yes it's a flower Kit but a very special kind of flower one that can be used to make people sleep and with a strong enough concentration it can knock a person out in minutes." Lexa explained.

"How could that have gotten in here?"

"Someone brought it...Kitty come on let's go!" Lexa snatched her hand and started to run towards the entrance.

"The place is in such an uproar they won't notice you gone Kitty." Lexa said making Kitty speed up.

Lexa abruptly stopped right outside of the entrance.

"Why are you stopping?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty look these are fresh carriage tracks."

"Yeah so?"

"So while everyone else is searching for their own tails we are going to rescue our friend and never turn back."

"We'll be together again!" Kitty squealed with excitement.

"But how do you know we won't end up coming across the prince and his men?" She asked.

"Because while they're looking for horse tracks we'll be following the carriage tracks! Let's go get the crew together." Lexa said with confidence.

"Wait Lex I have to go back for Amara." Kitty realized.

"No don't worry about her right now. She's already at the ship." Lexa revealed.

"How?"

"She had orders to sneak out earlier this morning without telling anyone, not even you, and go to the ports and like a good sailor she did. She arrived a few hours before I left and before you get snippy; it was a necessary precaution." Lexa said with authority.

"Fine let's get going." Kitty said keeping her voice even.

Meanwhile..

"Get your wits together men! We must track down Lady Syrena before night falls!" The leader of the search party bellowed.

Another horse came to stand beside the first man and it's rider caused the men to look down in respect.

"Whoever finds Syrena there will be a proper bath and meal waiting when you return with the Lady." The prince announced.

This caused whispering among the men.

"Well what are you all waiting for?! Get to it." The prince commanded. All at once the men bolted with a new sense of determination to find the runaway bride.

All but two men that is. Without causing any disturbance the two riders took off into the woods and rounded back to confuse anyone who tried to follow then both raced towards the ports leaving behind a mass of confusion.

Watching the port get closer both men sped up making it into a race between the two.

"Whoa!" Both reins were pulled causing the large beasts to halt and stand on their hind legs before landing on all fours.

Both figures dismounted the animals each giving their respective animal a smack on its hide to send them racing without riders. Both playfully made their way to their ship, shoving each other aboard and laughing like jolly sailors that they are.

"I take it they fell for our illusion non?" The captain of the ship mused startling both men.

"Uh captain I didn't notice you there!"

"Cut de crap accent fuzzy one." The biggest of the two gruffed.

"Vhatever Piotr iz not like yours iz any better mein fruend." The smaller figure puffed and playfully pulled the much larger man's hood down.

"Oh I oughtta-"

"That's enough from both of ye! Now Piotr go see that our guest is well-accommodated in her new suite."

"Aye captain." Said giant made his way towards the deck only to stop in his tracks.

"Uh captain, vich suite vould dat be?"

"Ugh never mind mon ami. How 'bout yah and fuzzy man over there make yahrselves useful et hoist de anchor et begin steering towards de ship. Ah'll go check on our petite cher." Remy groaned while pointing towards the blue-haired teen.

"Aye captain!" Both men responded going to steer their Trojan horse of a ship.

"Now ta wake de sleeping belle. She ain't goin ta be ta happy wit meh dat's fo sure." Remy mumbled to himself.

MMXX- Til next time guys oh and I apologize for the delayed update reasons are ever since February hit my family has been losing members left and right and a few have fallen terminally ill as well so I'm not really feeling it lately. However, I rather not have anyone's pity and in all honesty I'm tired of hearing that it all gets better, because it hasn't been and to end my ranting Hope is kind of a bitch to hold on to.

On the plus side I need ideas on naming Remy's ship...if anyone is wants to suggest one I will consider it.
