Sera's Pov

Over the next few days the manor seemed less bright and cheery. Like a part of the life was missing. Twila hadn't woken up yet and they were still trying to figure out what the nurses had given her. I admired the way Ian had taken to being over run with the enemy. He knew he wouldn't make it so he just tried to keep us all from suffering the same fate. He had taken a Vaulken Machine gun and killed half of the army. Then when he ran out of ammunition he waited till the ghouls and vampires were in rang and blew them all and himself sky high. I just wish we could wake Twila up. I was happy she was staying. Walter had adopted her and her last name had been changed again, to Dorneaz. We all wondered what her middle name was. Not to mention what her last name had been when she was born.

"Seras stop staring into space and help us look for the potion type." I was pulled away from my thoughts, by Alucard. Master was looking worse for wear. He hadn't eaten since Twila had brought his dinner to him days ago. Thinner and his normally smooth pale skin was chalky and flaky. I flipped through the book once again and found what we were looking for. It was a Nanio Larou. An elvish potion for fae and other supernatural creatures. I exclaimed nearly shouting.

"I found it, Master we can find an antidote now." I looked over and he was smiling slightly. It shocked me he normally he just smirked or grinned that face splitting grin. We scanned through the ingredients for the antidote. So far it was all fairly easy to get except two, Vampire blood, and Translvanian Peppermint. Not only that but it had to be Master's and one of his fledglings. Not to mention the fact that Translvanian Peppermint was so rare it was near impossible to get. We looked at how to mix it pretty easy. Basically just pour it into a bottle and shake well. Master looked at me leaning on a table in the laboratory we had been using.

"I have the Translvanian Peppermint, all we have to do now is gather the other ingredients and inform Walter, we can save his daughter without a kiss." He walked out, going up the wall and through the ceiling. There had been something in his voice, close to regret. 'Funny Master doesn't regret anything almost ever.'

***Time Skip***

One long search later, we were mixing the concoction. The last thing to go in was the blood. She wasn't going to like this, but it had to be done. I shook the bottle quickly and handed it to master. He then left to administer the antidote.

Twila's Pov

The darkness was so comforting, like a black blanket. I could feel my body but I could barely move it now. Suddenly I felt a cool hand against the back of my neck. 'An angel maybe?' I could hear a dark chuckle and a thought penetrated my mind that wasn't mine. 'Not hardly.' I couldn't move or struggle just allow them to do as they pleased.

A cold liquid poured into my mouth. It tasted like herbs and a copper zing that was blood. I swallowed instinctively. The liquid becoming ice cold as it reached my stomach. The hand loosened as awareness came back. It let go completely when I opened my eyes. I saw Alucard sitting on the side of my bed.

I looked into his red eyes. They reminded me vaguely of fire and rubies. He looked into my eyes as well. I covered my eyes thinking he must think they were horrible looking. Honestly they were dark green with blue lines coming from the outside toward the center. He pulled my hands down and put his hand on the side of my face.

Walter and Integra came rushing in and he dropped his hand immediately. Walter crouched in front of me.

"Twila are you okay, any side affects?" I shook my head, replying as an after thought.

"None yet." He sighed a sigh of relief, putting nearly translucent wires in my hand.

"Good then we can begin your training." I cocked my head in confusion.

"What training?" He smiled gently.

"Well, I adopted you Twila, so I want to train you with wires." I nodded slightly still sad. I crawled out of bed and he handed me a new uniform. I was once again confused.

"You are going to become the next butler of the Hellsing family." I nodded stiffly as I took the black slacks, white dress shirt, black vest, and a white undershirt. I waited till they left and put on my new uniform. Braiding my hair back in a single plait. I walked out my hair tied down with thin brown leather strips. My wings sticking out the thin silts in the back. I walked down and passed the kitchen, not even stopping for food. There was no reason to eat when you had no desire to. Finding Walter at the shooting range I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned and smiled warmly at me.

"Ah, are you ready to begin your lessons?" I nodded at him and we began with simple warm up exercises. After mastering them we continued to how to move them so they wouldn't cut me. We then started focusing on how to defend.

Alucard's Pov

I wondered while in my room, what would have happened had we gone unimpeded. She thought her eyes were ugly but it was far from the truth. They reminded one of a mosaic. She wore those block out sunglasses often now. She was soft, but she had an edge if you messed with her. Quite literally if you made her mad she would cut you with her hair.

I began to think. (A/N; Not a good thing if your anyone living.) 'Twila is so diminutive, not to forget meek. Maybe I could play with her mind a bit. Find out what scares her and what pleases her. I'll have to wait till she's asleep to do that though. Oh how the mighty have fallen. I would have a new plaything by the end of the week. If she is weak willed. I highly doubt that though.'

I felt the tug of Integra's summons, and went to her location. We were in the practice range with the obstical course in front of us and Twila behind us. She was handed two, three hundred round pistols. I began my instruction. She was more skilled with the weapons than I had expected. Spinning and leaping like a trained ballerina, shooting the targets and leaving the civilian cutouts alone. 'Someones had practice.' I thought as I watched her shoot the last one. Each of the targets had an extra blood pack in it.

She turned and I could see her eyes they were dilated. This was a strong indication of blood lust. She was suddenly charging into the forest giggling maniacally. I turned to Integra and said.

"Wait here and hold these." I then handed them my guns, with my hat. Charging into the tree line I listened to her. She was giggling insanely like a drunken school girl. Seeing what she was so giggly at made me grin. There was a group of ghouls with one Vampire. How she had tracked them was beyond me. She then continued her slaughter of the ghouls. The vampire seeing the decimation of his army ran. She frowned at him, saying drunkenly.

"Siwwy Vamp, running wont savve you." She then charged in the direction of the fleeing vampire. I phased ahead of it and killed it before she found it. She then found me in a nearby clearing.

"Behold a vampirrre." She drawled dropping her guns. 'Ah so she wants to fight hand to hand combat.' I opened my arms and motioned her to attack me. She did with a vengeance. Toying with her I let her cut, punch, kick and claw at me. I waited wanting to see what she was capable of before regenerating. She ran up and maneuvered her body at strange angles. Slicing my body as she went. Stopping momentarily to admire her work. I was covered in bloody slash marks, and bruises. Speaking around my own blood I told her.

"Hit me." She didn't disappoint as she jumped landing on my stomach she began to way lay my chest. Causing more blood to flood my mouth. I rolled over on top of her. She wiggled and tried to free herself. I picked her up and leaned her against a tree. Showing her displeasure she sliced me with her fingernails across the cheek. I just grinned, asking.

"Guess, I went into the gun crazy side again huh." She said as I stared at her. Processing what she had just said I inquired.

"Wait you go crazy when you use guns." She nodded sullenly. 'Okay have to tell Integra this.' I then led her back to the obstical course. Stating on arrival.

"Well,we probable shouldn't let her use guns unless you want all vampires in the immediate vicinity eradicated." Walter raised an eyebrow, as did Integra.

"And why not?" Integra asked as she looked at the small girl now covered in my blood.

"She goes crazy with them. In other words she basically gives into blood lust and is not sane. The only reason I'm not full of bullet holes is she ran out of ammunition." Walter looked questioningly at Song Bird. She nodded and nearly whimpered out.

"He's right. I thought it had stopped, but it just came back." Integra nodded solemnly, saying.

"Okay, lets go try blades." They walked into the sparring arena. Tilting my head at Walter I stated.

"Twenty pounds says Integra goes easy on her and wins." Walter turned and shook my hand.

"I'll take that bet." We walked in to see Integra and Twila fighting like they're lives we on the line. Twila blocked a blow and parried. In a few more tense moments Twila emerged victorious.

Walter's Pov

I smiled as Alucard handed me twenty pounds. Chuckling at him I walked out. Twila's studies were done for the day. I began to fix food for the staff and others. My heir walked in and asked if I needed help.

"Um... sure I could use some help." She took over on deserts and the drinks. I continued on the other half. A few hours later we had finished all the cooking. She strolled out of the kitchen. I asked before she could get the rest of the way out.

"Aren't you going to eat something." She shook her head replying to me.

"Na, I'm not hungery." I mentally called. 'Bullop, you just woke up from a five day comatose state, in which you couldn't eat.' I let her go on her way. Trying to recall when I had seen her eat but, could only remember her drinking mint tea.

Twila's Pov

I had to get to a bathroom and quick. I don't know why but whenever I smell food, food cooking it just makes me nautious. I reached my bathroom and promptly ralfed up my stomach contents. Since I hadn't eaten all day it was just stomach bile. I finally stopped when it was just dry heaves.

I left the bathroom and went in search of tea. In my mind a good glass of mint tea, could fix anything. 'Even the- no not going to think about it. Besides there is a easy solution to that little delima don't get close to anyone EVER.' I walked back down to the kitchen and fixed a good glass of mint tea. I sat down at the bar and sipped at the tea.

Since no one else was in the room I could relax a bit. I relaxed my aura and let the electric navy blue shadow creep around me. Out of nowhere Alucard plopped down in front of me.

"So why wont you eat anything. Before you say it yes I did notice." I thought for a moment and replied without really fearing the consequences.

"I just don't see reason in eating when you have no desire to do so. Wouldn't you agree Alucard." I purposefully pronounced his name as a-loo-card. I noticed his left eye brow twitch slightly. 'Ah must have hit nerve.' I stated with a innocent face.

"You know when you do that you look just like a crazy person." He growled at me and I replied a sly smirk slipping across my lips.

"Not that I mind that too much but is rather rude, to growl at the person your talkin' to." His lip lifted in a silent snarl.

"Ooh progressed to snarling have we. Never mind that, just makes you look like a puppy dog." I took a long sip of tea as he death glared me from across the bar. He spoke in a vibrating voice.

"Hold your tongue or I shall bite it off." I held a hand to my heart and opened my mouth in a mockingly shocked expression.

"We've degraded ourselves to threats now have we." He suddenly stood strait up placing his hands on the counter. The intimidation was impeded however since he was in the counter from the waist down.

I laid my head on the bar laughing at him. He scowled confused. I pointed to his lower torso. He looked down and slapped his hand to his forehead. Which just caused me to laugh even more uproariously. I waved at him and left the room him waist deep in a kitchen island.

Alucard's Pov

I calmed down seeing as she had left and quit picking at me. 'She seriously just had to pronounce it like that Italian jerk didn't she?' I snarled mentally. Walking out of the bar and toward my room. Surprising several people on the way there.

Walter's Pov

Twila strolled into the room holding a tall glass of mint tea. I walked up quickly to her, asking if she could take the vampires their evening meal. She said yes and I handed her the two pails of ice with the blood. She tipped an imaginary hat to me and walked off.

Alucard's Pov

I smelled the familiar scent of blood and the Song Bird. She was going to stop by Police Girl's room first. Then she would come to mine. I heard her whistling something under her breath. I heard the a knock on the door. She stopped whistling abruptly when I opened the door. She handed me the pail of ice but the blood pack wasn't there. I inquired about it.

"Song Bird were is my blood." She reached under the breast of the vest and held out to me the blood. I shrugged and reached for it. She moved it before I could get it asking me.

"Hey do you know if Hellsing has a piano any where?" I nodded and told her where she tossed me the blood pack and went off.

Twila's Pov

I went in the area Alucard had told me. The doors looked like cherry wood and were carved with intricate patterns of flowers. It was on the third floor near the conference room. Inside the room there was a grey marble floor. A chandelier hung from the ceiling. There was a small stage and there on the stage was a large pipe organ.

I sat down on the bench and popped my fingers. Then began playing through my scales, starting on b flat and going round. Once finished warming up I began looking for music to play. I found a folder that said:

To Twila I know eventually you will find this so I found some music for ya'- You Brother Ian.

I smiled a sad smile, and went rummaging through it. I stopped and looked at the music sheet with a cocked head. I did not know they made a pipe organ part for blurred lines. I picked it up and looked through it quickly. Nothing to difficult I then began to play, singing the strange lyrics. I heard a person clearing their voice behind me. I jumped nearly a foot, and turned to see Alucard there? He clapped and gestured to the pipe organ, saying.

"I didn't know you could play the organ." I shrugged noncommittally, replying.

"Well, I can actually play most instruments, quite well in fact." He sat down beside me causing me to squeak. He told me.

"Pick a piece of music and we'll see if I can still play." I pulled out Warrior, placing it on the organ. He scanned it then starting playing it. I sang with him playing. We went through the entire thing and he inquired.

"Want to go through it again." I nodded to him and we began again. The courage building in me as I sang. By the middle I was lost in the song, not controlling my volume but still showing dynamics. We stopped when Integra came bursting in. Clothed in her night gown and gun in hand. She sighed heavily hitting her head against the wall. She asked with a particularly hard strike.

"What the hell did I do to deserve this?" I frowned and replied.

"Well nothing I was getting rusty in music so I decided to practice. I asked Alucard where there was a Piano, and he directed me to a Pipe Organ." She huffed, saying after a moment.

"Okay but can you practice tomorrow after your studies?" I nodded picking up my folder of music and putting the pieces away. I walked to my room and went to sleep listening to Bonjovie play through my head.

Alucard's Pov

I was confused beyond all things imaginable. Twila, the Song Bird could play instruments, and sang. The singing I saw coming but instruments like the Pipe Organ? 'Well off to bother Pip and his drunken gaggle of wild geese.'

Third Person Pov

Through the rest of the night there were several curses, and screams heard from the barracks. The next day was harder than the last for Twila. Thoughts of her last guardian kept creeping into her head. After being sliced for the tenth time by the wires Walter asked her.

"Twila are thoughts of Ian still troubling you?" She looked up her black out sunglasses hiding her eyes. She replied in a soft even tone.

"Yes, I found some music sheets he left for me before h-he." Walter ran over holding the shaking hybrid in his arms.

"Shh it's okay he is a better place." She gave a hard sob. Her sunglasses falling from her hand onto the ground.

"Shh, shh." Walter petted her hair absentmindedly trying to calm her. She just pushed his hand away and ran into a take off. Her form swaying from side to side.

Twila's Pov

I flew without even thinking. I flew without a purpose. I flew without a destination. I just flew as far as I could. The slashes in my arms stinging but they were all superficial, they would leave scars. Other than that nothing else. I landed my wings finally giving out.

Looking at my surroundings I realized I was in a clearing. The sound of rushing water reached my ears. I soon saw a large waterfall, and a pool around it. It was just behind a wall of large black berry bushes. The water was a light blue in the pool and appeared white in the falls. Admiring the scenery I sat on the grass. Green moss covered the rocks near the waterfall, and light sand was on the bank.

I got into the lotus position, and began something I hadn't done in years. I meditated.

Integra's Pov

We had decided to let Alucard handle her blade work, and abandon the idea of guns. I sat there going over the events for the next few days. Doing the paper work and trying to fight a migraine. When Walter came charging in panting, and looking shaken. He informed me rather loudly.

"Twila has run away, she just had a break down of sorts. I asked if she was having trouble coping and she, just broke. I tried to calm her but she just shoved past me and flew off." I was shell shocked with this information. I got up and charged off to find Alucard.

I found him sleeping in his coffin hands crossing his chest and mouth open snoring slightly. I kicked the coffin jarring his form and he woke up with a start. Snarling slightly and calming rapidly when he saw our expressions. He just inquired.

"She ran, or more flew off didn't she?" His tone was flat and bored as he began to get out of his bloody coffin. I ordered him.

"Find her and bring her back if she refuses subdue her. Do. Not. Kill. Her." He shrugged. Putting on his coat and hat, he left.

Author's Note: Do you think Alucard could play the Phantom Of The Opera song? I do love my readers they give me purpose in my little maniacal mind. Well Live Long and Prosper, jodycain74 out.
