So much happened in two years, not long after Edward had settled with Beth he received news that his wife back In England had passed away some years ago. Included in that same letter was the news that upon her dying she had left an 8 year old daughter behind, his daughter.
He sent for her to come live with us on Inagua, she travelled over to be with the father she had never met and the sister she never knew she had. Although not long after Edward decided the the Caribbean was too dangerous for his young family.
He asked me to go with him to London, although this was purely out of politeness. We'd both admitted that it was grief that had pulled us together.
So now I stand on the docks of Inagua waving The Jackdaw's captain and his family goodbye. The child inside me stirs and it saddens me to think they will never know their father and he shall never know about them. I thought it unfair to tell Edward and ruin any plans he may have had.
In time I gave birth to a boy, James. His sandy blonde hair and sea blue eyes looked just like the man I once thought I'd loved.
Thank you so much everyone who has followed this very short story, sorry it was so short I regretted sticking to killing Mary and struggled from then. If I have the time and manage to fit writing Who Knew each weekend I fancy attempting to write Anne and her son's story. If I do I shall update this story. Yet again though thank you so much for reading this.
