A/N: During the first part of this chapter, Natasha talks to Loki and Steve finds the weapons S.H.I.E.L.D. created. I don't see the need to rewrite scenes that are exactly the same, so that's why they're not included. Anyway, back to fanfiction:

Libby's room

Libby rolled over and buried her face in Bobby's chest. She wrapped her arms around him and licked her lips.
"Morning," Bobby gruffly told her.

"Bonjour," she softly said. "I'm going back to sleep."

"So now you wanna sleep," Kitty remarked from a chair on the other side of the room. "Right."

"Me tired," Libby said. "Bobby comfy."

"It's so attractive when you don't speak in full sentences, I hope you know that," Bobby told her sarcastically.

"Me knows," she giggled.

"Ew," Rogue remarked from the bathroom door. "Please don't make me vomit."

"We're not even kissing!" Libby said. Her legs wound with Bobby's under the covers. Piotr sat on her other sighed and twiddled his thumbs from on top of the covers. "Piotr I don't know how many times I've told you that you can join us under the blankets, it's much warmer… For the most part."

"I'm good," Piotr said. "Though I might after you get up. I need to take my own nap."

"I second that," Rogue said.

"Third," Kitty yawned.

"What about you Bobby?" Libby asked him. "You need a nap too?"

"No, you made me fall asleep with you, remember?" Bobby rolled his eyes.

"Whoops. Je suis navrée," the technopath said.

"Sure you are," Bobby rolled his eyes. "How'd you sleep?"

"I didn't have any nightmares this time," she told them. "At least I don't remember having any."

"We told you they'd go away," Kitty said as she stood. She sat on the edge of the bed, by Piotr. Rogue took a step closer, but kept her distance.

"Tell that to me when they're gone for good," Libby muttered. "Do any of you still dream about San Francisco?"

"Rarely," Bobby said. Piotr nodded, and Kitty shrugged.

"I wish I could've been there," Rogue said as she looked away from them. "I should've been there."

"You're with us now, that's what counts," Libby said as she sat up. "I wasn't with them at first either, remember?"

"At least you were doing somethin'," Rogue crossed her ungloved arms across her chest.

"Hey, I thought we agreed I was the only person who was allowed to be a Negative Nancy," Libby smirked as she tried to cheer her friend up. "You'll be here for the next one, just remember that."

"When do you think that'll be?" Piotr asked her.

"Depends on what Loki's endgame is," the technopath answered.

"And what is his endgame?" Bobby asked.

"He wants his revenge as badly as I want mine," Libby said. "I'm not sure if that's what this is all about though."

"You mean like this is just a step towards what his real goal is?" Kitty asked.

"Probably," Libby nodded before changing the subject. "Anyone else hungry?"

"Starving," Bobby said.

"Pizza, anyone?" Libby said.

"You are not flying anywhere," Kitty said. "Ororo said we needed to keep you grounded and in our sights at all times."

"I hate all of you," she complained as she laid back down.

"If Libby and I are the only ones that are hungry we can go get something while the three of you try to get some sleep," Bobby suggested.

"I'm fine with that," Piotr agreed. "What about you two?"

"Sure," Kitty agreed. "I'd love a nap."

"This bed is comfy," Libby said. "You'll be out in no time."

"I hope so," Kitty yawned as she stressed. "Rogue, you joining us?"

Libby and Bobby awkwardly rolled themselves off her bed while Piotr yanked the covers up and over him. He rolled onto his side and closed his eyes and slowly breathed as his body finally relaxed.

"Sure, let me put my gloves back on, just in case," Rogue said as she grabbed her elbow length white gloves and pulled them on.

Libby stretched her arms over her head as she walked towards her bathroom.

"Let me brush my hair," the technopath said. "It looks terrible."

"You're hair looks fine," Bobby told her.

"It feels gross," Libby told him as she brushed her long, brown hair. "I need to wash it tonight. Shower with me later?"

"Have I ever said no to that offer?" Bobby rolled his eyes as he stood in the bathroom doorway.

"Get a room," Kitty complained from the bed.

"I have one, you're in it," Libby retorted with a smirk, and then winked at her friend. "Come on, I'm starving." She grabbed his hand and linked their fingers together.

"So…" he said, looking at their fingers and then down the hall. "I'm guessing things aren't great with Steve."

"Why'd you say that?" she asked him.

"Because you almost told him-"

"I wasn't gonna tell him anything," she rolled her eyes as she lied.

"It sure sounded like you were about to," Bobby told her. He stopped and turned to face her. "Lids, you're in over your head."

"I'm fine," she insisted. "Honestly."

"You didn't sound fine earlier. What's going on with him?"

"He found out about my involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D., that's all," she shrugged. "Honestly, he doesn't mean anything to me."

"You've never been good about lying how you feel about people," Bobby told her with sad eyes. Libby looked away, and then back up at him.

"I hate it when you're right," she blinked her years back.

"I hate it too," he agreed as he embraced her.

"I thought I knew what I wanted," she told him, quietly. "Now… I'm not sure. I'm not sure of anything."

"You've got to let it go," Bobby said. "You can't keep going on like this."

"Keep going on like what?" Bobby and Libby turned at the sound of Tony's voice. The technopath blinked, and slowly the redness in her eyes disappeared.

"Hey Tony," Libby said.

"You didn't answer my question," Tony crossed his arms over his chest.

"She's good at that," Bobby said. Libby turned her head and glared at him. "Sorry."

"We need to talk. Alone," Tony demanded.

"You can trust Bobby, Pops," Libby rolled her eyes. "He's one of my best friends."

"So he knows-"

"That she worked with the Brotherhood?" Bobby finished Tony's question. "I was there the day she left us and joined them. And I was there the day she came back."

"Why was your grandfather talking about my dad before he died?" Tony cut the question burning at his mind.

"Tony," Libby's shoulders tensed, and the bitterness and the sadness returned to her eyes, "You don't wanna know the answer to that question."

"Yeah, I do."

"Libby just tell him," Bobby told her. "He's gonna find out sooner or later." Libby looked at her father, and then at Bobby.

"Because he was killed by the same man," she answered.

"My dad died in a car crash," Tony shook his head. "It was an accident. He wasn't-"

"He was," Libby shook her head. "I have the order of-"

"My father died in a car crash," Tony repeated. "He wasn't… He wasn't-"

"Yes he was," Libby pulled herself away from Bobby as she stepped towards Tony. She put his hands on his shoulders.

"I'm not gonna let him get away with killing them. He's going to pay."

"You know-"

"I've known who's responsible for Howard's death for almost a decade," she slowly told him.

"Why haven't you said anything?!" Tony yelled.

"Because the time isn't right yet!" she told him. "Tony you have to trust me, the man that murdered your father, my grandfathers, and ruined my life is going to pay."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Tony scoffed. "'The time isn't right?'"

"Tony you have to believe me when I say I'm going to take everything from him," Libby told him. Her father saw a fire in her eyes, and her voice dropped. It sent a shiver up his spine.

Libby paused, as she turned her head, back towards Bobby.

"What?" he asked her. "What do you hear?"

"Something's wrong," the technopath let go of Tony as she turned to walk past him. "I have to get to Loki."

"Libby wait," Bobby chased after her. "What's going on?"

"I'm not sure," the technopath answered. Bobby and Tony chased after her.

"Talk to me, do I need to go get the other's?" Bobby asked.

"No, we can handle this," Libby told him.

"Libby!" Natasha called as she ran up to them. "Where's Banner?"

"Right where you left him," Tony answered. "Why?"

"That's Loki's play, we gotta get to him," Natasha quickly answered. Tony paused, and almost turned to follow her.

"You cover that, I'll go-"

"No," Bobby interrupted Libby. "We'll all go."

"Bobby-"

"If his plan really is Banner than you need to be there, just in case," Bobby told her. "Come on, we'll all go." Libby cursed, and then hesitantly followed them down the hall.

Je suis navrée means something along the lines of I'm really sorry. I can't remember exactly off the top of my head.

I didn't plan on posting this, though I am just because I'm super excited to post chapter 14.

Okay, and about Howard's death not being just a car accident: After CAWS came out I thought it'd make sense that HYDRA had Howard killed, because he got in their way.

In the next chapter some of the lines aren't attributed because they're straight from the movie, so be prepared for that. It's not a lot of lines, just a handful. Most of them are between Steve and Tony.

I read a handful of Captain America comics, so I feel a bit better about how I'm writing Steve's character now. Yeah, I know, an easy fix. I wish I had done that earlier.

Anyway, till next time.
