Part 2

Anna yelps with fright as Bloody Mary appears on the TV screen. The three girls are watching all the scary movies they can find. All of a sudden Star's phone rings in her pocket and the three girls jump in fright, and then laugh. Star picks up the phone; it's Sam. "Hey, is everything okay?" She blurts out.

The boys don't usually call unless it's important, excluding that one time that Dean just rang asking if they could buy some ice-cream.

"Everything's fine. Just letting you know, we're gonna be back early. We'll get home tomorrow morning. There was a slight change of plans…" There's a slight shuffle in the background. "I know Dean!" Sam hisses. "Look, is Anna there?"

"Well, yeah. Why?" She asks suspiciously.

"Will you put us on speaker?"

Star shrugs; she never said they were normal. "Sure."She nudges the girls. "They want to talk to us." She says in a dead voice, but her face clearly says "What the fuck?"

Then Dean speaks. "So, we were hunting and these kids were there, most of them your age. They were brought up as hunters, most of them because their parents were attacked when they were kids and they felt they had no other choice."

Alaska and Star could tell he was picking out his words carefully, knowing that Anna was also listening. Star laughs, "Jesus, Dean, don't tell us you adopted one or something?" she jokes.

Dean coughs slightly and Sam snorts a laugh and there's an unfamiliar voice with a manly laugh in the background. "Well, not adopt, exactly…" Dean says, his voice unsure.

Alaska sounds a bit annoyed when she snaps, "Just spit out, Dean."

"Alaska, baby… I'm so sorry, but it turns out that this girl I went out with; about three years before I met your mom, was actually pregnant with my kid and never told me. She was killed, not hunting, but you know… by an animal and left her son… His name's Joseph- he's here now if you want to talk or anything," Dean says rushed.

Alaska says nothing and neither does anyone else for a minute. "Okay." She says eventually.

"Okay what?" Dean asks.

"Nothing," she says and then laughs. "I mean, it's not okay really, is it?" Then she sighs. "I'll talk to you when you get home. It's cool, this finding out about a long lost brother thing, but is super weird, you know that right?"

Sam laughs again.

"I guess we'll talk tomorrow, then." She says and after a moment Dean agrees. "Goodnight girls." He says and they chorus a goodbye.

After a while, they start up the movie again, but Alaska isn't really paying attention, and neither are the other two. In the middle of the movie Star just says, "I'm bored, can we tell Anna now?" Alaska glares at her, willing her to shut up.

"Tell her what?" She asks innocently but Star ignores her. "Anna, guess what?" she starts.

So then, Star finishes the story with how herself and Alaska found out about the whole saving people, hunting things, family business thing. At first, she doesn't believe the girls, but then pieces it together in her mind. It actually makes a bit of sense, she realises.

"And when were you planning on telling me this?" Anna asks. "Um… like never, to be honest." Alaska tells her truthfully, and Anna nods, unoffended. "Okay then. I think we should head up then." She says and Star nods. "All right."

*Next morning*

Anna is sitting on the couch in front of the TV, flicking through the channels when she hears the front door open. She sits, eyes still stuck to the screen, completely unfazed. Dean then pops his head around the door. "Anna!" He says in a friendly tone.

She smiles up at him. "Hey." She then turns back to the screen and continues talking to him. "The girls are in the kitchen, making breakfast, I think." She informs him.

"Thanks Anna." He says in that flirty tone, implying that he now owes her big time. She's almost sure he didn't use it on purpose, but looks up at him just in case. There's a stranger beside him, only a couple of years older than herself. She feels her eyes widen in surprise and attraction and then catches a hold of herself and blinks. "You must be Joseph."

He is about a foot or so taller than her, with dark grey eyes and brown hair. There's just something about him; maybe his nose, that makes him hot. Is that right? She wonders; can someone have a sexy nose? Meanwhile, Joseph nods. "Anna, right?" he asks, in a smooth deep voice.

She feels her stomach flip. "Yep." She says, unable to say anything more.

Neither of them say anything for a moment; they just study each other, enjoying the view. Then that moment ends when Alaska runs in. "Joseph?" She stands looking at him quizzically. She looks so bizarre to a stranger that he smiles, and you can tell he wants to laugh but politely restrains himself.

"And your name is…" he asks nicely. "Alaska." She says with a grin and plops down on the sofa next to Anna. "So we're half-brother and sister, huh?" She says happily and he smiles again. "Yeah," He says.

Alaska lowers her voice a little before asking in a stage-whisper, "What do you think of Dean?"

He laughs out loud this time and Anna feels her stomach flip. She wonders if she's going crazy; is it even possible to be turned on by someone's laugh?

She doesn't listen to his answer, just stands and interrupts him, saying to Alaska that she's going upstairs to pack. Alaska looks confused for a moment before nodding, "Sure."

Anna leaves and walks up the stairs slowly. "Anna!" a voice whispers behind her. She jumps, in fear that it might be Joseph, but it's just Star, on her way from the kitchen.

"What's he like?" she hisses and Anna pauses before answering, "I think you'll like him. Alaska seems to." And then she turns away and continues up the stairs.

Anna finally reaches the guest room and collapses on her bed in a heap, finding herself suddenly out of breath and close to tears. She quickly gets a hold of herself and had just stood up, when there's a knock on her door and she jumps in fright. "Yeah?" she calls out and the door opens revealing… Joseph, his head ducked shyly.

"Hey, ugh, I'm kind of lost." He says with a sheepish smile and Anna cant help but return the favour.

"Well, this is the guest room," she informs him, gesturing behind her.

He nods, "How do I get next door?" he asks, a little confused. She doesn't blame him; this house is weird!

"The room next to me isn't really a room, it's a passage going to next door." She tells him and he points, "That door?"

"Eh, yep." She says, but he doesn't leave her just yet. "Are you leaving?" he asks and she nods, causing him to sigh.

"Maybe I could walk you home?" he suggests in a soft, friendly voice.

Anna leans up against the door frame. "I live two blocks away, it's hardly necessary." She tells him.

"Well, we could always call it a tour," he says suggestively and she smiles and shakes her head.

"Come on, Anna. Please let me accompany you to your house. How else will we have our first kiss?" He murmurs the last sentence, with no reason to speak any louder as they are now standing pressed up against each other.

Anna take s a deep breath. "Well, I guess it couldn't hurt…"
