Chapter Twelve

Returning Bee's

I gave Sunstreaker another look before leaving, Ironhide clearly wasn't in the mood for other people to be around him at the moment and I wanted to know what he was talking about. I led the way to another room and waited impatiently for him to close the door behind him.

"What did you mean?" I asked again.

He tapped his fingers on his knees in agitation. "Sides and I, don't really get along with other bots." He admitted. "I know that you're different. You're gonna worm your way in and Sides isn't going to be just mine anymore."

I furrowed my brow in confusion. "I don't understand."

He sighed and shook his head. "Just don't worry about it. Nothing's happened yet and I'd appreciate it if you didn't say anything to Sides about this. He'd only make it more awkward."

"But-"

He placed a hand on my shoulder, blue optics shining down on me and I stilled. He was still a lot taller than me and I felt it best in this moment to do what he wanted. I didn't know if I'd ever get this chance to talk to him about this again but at this moment I didn't care. I didn't know what he was talking about and so I didn't let it bother me. He'd tell me what was really going on if he wanted to. Sides and I weren't close at all at the moment, he was obviously worrying about that changing.

I hoped that he wouldn't find offence at my presence in his life. I wanted to make friends in my new robot body and what better way to do that than clear up any tension surrounding myself.

"Do you want to go paint Ironhide's hide?" I offered tentatively, raising my optics back to his, noticing I'd been looking just over his shoulder for a while now.

He stared at me in confusion before cracking a small smile and shaking his head. "I'm going to go find Sides, I want you to forget about what I said. It doesn't matter now." His optics softened. "I think you're okay, little one."

I glared at him. "I'm not that little."

He left without replying, merely turning to give me a wink before shutting the door behind him. It was then I noticed that we were in Bumblebee's room. The yellow bot was out protecting Sam and Mikaela. I looked around the room and smiled, there were small knick knacks that must have been really hard for him to pick up in random places. It suited Bee so well that I didn't think anything of it, some of the things Sam must have given him, or he must of stolen I thought, glancing at the skateboard that was shoved against a wall. What he was doing with that I had no idea.

I came to the conclusion that I missed Bumblebee. A lot. His childish nature had a way of making you smile on the bad days. This could have been considered one although I had initially thought that Sunstreaker was going to pull my limbs off. So far he'd restrained. I'd give him the time he wanted with Sideswipe before attempting to befriend them again.

I left Bee's room when I started to feel emotional. A small tear slid from my optic as I wiped it away quickly, not wanting anyone to see me. I never usually felt this upset and while what Sunstreaker said confused me, there was no need for crying. I was a big robot for crying out loud, no pun intended. I snapped out of quite literally, when I bumped into something solid around the corner which sent me flying onto the floor.

I grimaced and looked up, expecting to see Ironhide or Rachet but what I saw instead shocked me. It was Bumblebee! My luck had turned pretty quickly. I grinned brightly and jumped up, flinging myself into his shocked body. I wrapped my arms around his middle, my head now coming up to the top of his chest and kept myself there, even though I could feel the stiffness in his body.

I was starting to wonder what was wrong until he wrapped his arms around me in return and rested his head on top of mine. I grinned even more to myself as he hummed quietly in his throat as if asking what was wrong.

"I'm okay." I reassured him, breathing in his scent and feeling more relaxed than I had in a while. He chirped quietly as I pulled away and smiled up at him. "I missed you." I told him, almost awing at the way his eyes widened, his cheek plates heated up and his fans turned on. I laughed and took one of his hands in mine and dragged him down the hallway to my room. "There's so much stuff you missed out on!" I told him, opening the door and pulling him in.

He took in his surroundings curiously, having not been in my room before. He walked over to the table and fiddled with some of the armour that was there from my last growth spurt. I was due one more apparently, and was quite looking forward to it as I would then be able to choose my alt mode and be able to have races with the rest of the Autobots.

"What's up doc?" Came out of his radio and he scratched his head sheepishly before sitting on one of my chairs.

I proceeded to tell him what happened with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe wondering if he could help me with this predicament. As expected he was a golden nugget of wisdom and while it was still difficult for him to talk, he managed to explain to me that the Twins were known for sticking to one another and while everyone liked them, the two were inseparable and Sunstreaker was very protective over his twin.

"I understand that." I sighed, leaning back on my bed. "It's just that I wasn't even trying to get between them. We've only known each other for a few days so why has this become an issue so quickly?" I asked, scrunching up my face as best as I could considering it was metal.

He shrugged.

I grimaced. "Thanks a lot Bee." He grinned and stuck his tongue out at me, mischievousness entering his eyes. I kept mine on him, knowing that look because I had it the majority of the time. "What are you up to?" I asked warningly, sitting upright and scooting back against the headboard. He grinned cheekily before pouncing on me, his fingers quickly reaching all the sensitive spots just under my armour and sending me into a fit of giggles.

"Stop it Bee!" I shouted between giggles, trying desperately to get out of his reach but he had me pinned well underneath him and it was impossible for me to move. The tickling continued until I started to feel pain. I winced and Bee immediately stopped, chirping in concern. "I'm okay." I lied, feeling another shock of pain run through my body.

Bumblebee shook his head and gathered me up into his arms, chirping sadly as I spasmed in pain as he did so. He kicked open the door and called for Ratchet in his broken voice. The last thing I saw before I gave into the darkness was two pairs of blue optics staring down at me in concern.

AN: Okay, so I'm sorry this took forever but my laptop's been down and I've only just found the recovery discs today cause I've been at uni but came home today. So it's all good now! Took three hours though... longest three hours of my life! Hope you all enjoyed this and come back for more :)
