Guys! It is Chapter 12 already. I really didn't think I would be able to reach here. But, well, here I am. You see, I have a habit of giving up on long projects. But I have a good feeling about this, this story. I have showed down a bit, because of school and I have engrossed myself in watching Death Note.

Chapter 12
I woke up the next day. Three days were left to my training with Sasuke-san. Boruto and Inojin were sitting beside me, while Shikadai still slept. As I woke up, Boruto put a finger on his mouth and indicated at a few rocks dangling around Shikadai in such a way that when he woke up, he was going to be hit on his head. After fifteen minutes, that's exactly what happened. Shikadai let out an "OH!" All of the other laughed. He mocked us with imitating laughter. We laughed even more. I got up and went to the washroom to brush my teeth. I came back and checked my phone. It was eight. I told the others to hurry as Inojin had a date in an hour. I texted Sarada a 'Good Morning!' and went back to my business.
Ino-san was unusually happy. She beamed at us and had worn normal clothing today. We had breakfast and left quickly. We had sixteen minutes to reach the café and it would take us fourteen to get there. When we reached there, we found Wasabi already waiting for us. She had worn her usual dressing. She looked at us and said, "I only expected Inojin to come, but I guess seeing his confidence, I shouldn't be surprised." She came forward and shook each of our hands, saying, "Hi! I am Wasabi. You will know who I am from the Academy, but this is me, informally." Boruto introduced himself, I did my introduction and Shikadai just said, "I am Shikadai. In short, we are the choreographers of the texts you received yesterday." This led to some laughter and Inojin blushing. He pushed us away and retreated to the café with Wasabi.
I hurried to my home, after that. I sat there for what seemed forever. Then, came a knock. It was Hanabi-sensei. She said, "I have some special training for you." I didn't know what to say. I just nodded. I put on my training equipment, including kunais, shuriken and leg weights, which I had considerably increased. She literally dragged me outside and led me to training grounds number seven. When I was in sight of it, I noticed a figure standing there. As I reached closer, it was Sarada. I stood in front of her and looked at Hanabi-sensei for some sort of an explanation. She said, "Sarada, here, requested me to referee a match between you and her." I looked at her and she just grabbed a kunai in her hand. I gulped. It was one thing to work in her team and enjoy her fighting skills and a completely different thing to fight against her unique fighting skills. I had not prepared, so I asked sensei to give me half a minute. I regained composure and drew my kunai. It was time. Hanabi-sensei said, "Begin!"
We both rushed towards each other.
Hanabi POV
Sarada and Masaru made contact and immediately assumed a stance, where both the kunais were against each other and the free hand intertwined with the other. Sarada had to act fast as she did not have enough strength to push Masaru back. She did what I had wished. She pulled Masaru towards her and stepped aside and left his hand. This sent Masaru flying back, but he regained his balance when he landed on his feet. He threw the kunai at Sarada and pulled out seven more. He threw five of them in quick succession at her and threw one in the air, above him and the other at it to bend the path of motion towards Sarada. The previous kunais acted as a distraction and the kunai in the air nearly hit Sarada. It grazed her shoulder. Masaru stomped his foot on the ground in anger, but attacked again. He rushed towards Sarada and on nearing her, jumped upwards, doing a flip. Sarada turned behind in time to catch Masaru's fist directed towards her and blocked the other under her armpit. She twisted her armpit and I heard the sound of a crack. Masaru let out a scream. He pulled away and jumped away from Sarada.
Both took a while to recover their breaths. Then, they launched themselves again into a frenzy of attacks. A punch to the stomach, block at the chest, a kick at a leg, a jab at the head, pull at the hair. It had a good speed. I folded my hands and looked on with pride. This was the result of my training, after all. They had not used ninjutsu till now, so this was going to get even more interesting. As if on cue, both of them pulled away and made three precise hand signs. Both were the same. They both inhaled a lot of air and blew. It got hot all of a sudden. Fire style: Fireball jutsu. I shifted a bit behind, so as to be out of harm's way. The stronger fireball would win. A blast of heat was released again from the fire and the impact grew bigger and larger. The fireballs collapsed on themselves and left behind black soot in their way. Sarada sailed in the air, shouting, "Shannnnaaaarooooo!" I saw Masaru dodge the attack, but the ground burst under him. He lost his balance. Sarada got up and landed a punch directly on his face. He sailed into the air and crashed against a tree. He let out a groan. Sarada looked pleased with herself. The battle took a break as the contenders stopped for some air.
Sarada POV
Masaru sat at the edge of the tree, while I stood proudly and adjusted my specs. I saw him get up and start removing his shoes and socks. I saw the leg weights. I had to do something before he removed them, because otherwise, I would be in big trouble. I made some hand signs and thoughts fire style phoenix flower jutsu. I launched a few shuriken and covered them with flames. Then, I threw them towards Masaru. He managed to dodge them, but one shuriken managed to hit him on his left hand. He dropped and rolled to put out the flame and then removed the shuriken. He grimaced when he moved his left hand, now. But, that didn't stop him from removing the weights. He went on. One leg was free already. I had to do something. I looked at Hanabi-sensei and locked eyes with her. She nodded.
I was going to use that jutsu. I pulled out a shadow clone. I sent it rushing to Masaru, kunai in hand. The clone was hit by Masaru's kunai when it reached near him. He still had fight left in him. That was commendable. But, he didn't know what would happen next. With Hanabi-sensei's help, I had managed to modify my shadow clones. On being hit by the kunai, the clone blew up. This really damaged Masaru's left hand and I could clearly see him having a difficult time moving it. It was harsh, but I knew my mom would fix him up. I saw him clearly now and was surprised. He had somehow managed to remove his leg weights. It was going to be trouble, but I knew how to deal with it.
I activated my Sharingan. I saw him coming towards me in a very quick motion. I barely managed to block his punch. Damn it! He had become faster than the his fight with Hanabi-sensei. I jumped up and directed a fireball jutsu at the ground. That was my plan. When he was so intent on running, he won't be able to notice me jump very quickly. He was running around in circles, around the place where I had just been standing. When my fireball reached the ground, they started spiralling and got contained. That was an awesome sight, but it also indicated that I was losing. The flame hurried towards me. I changed its direction and just escaped with a minor burn. I landed back on the ground, Masaru still spinning around me. I didn't know any other way to escape than using my Sharingan. I contemplated his moves and where he would attack from next. But, I felt a hand in my shoulder and I felt myself going blind. What was this? I couldn't see.
I couldn't see what was going on. The world had darkened. I felt a punch in my back and another in my stomach. I spat up some blood and the irony taste bittered my taste-buds. I took a few more hits. I heard the screams of people around me, even though there were none. I felt a kunai thrust in me. I coughed up blood. I felt another kunai thrust in me. Another. Another. Another. I felt a hundred kunai thrust in me. Life was receding me. I realised what was happening. I was under Masaru's genjutsu. I forced my hands to form the sign to release the genjutsu and free myself to fight again. My eye sight returned. Masaru still stood on the three, recovering strength. He said, "That took you a while. Last time it took you five seconds, but now it took you thirty one. Thanks for the time." He got up and jumped down. He assumed fighting stance and so did I. Then, he looked up and I noticed the pink in his eyes.
Masaru POV
I had been pushed back a lot. My left arm was still not working, but I had activated my eyes. I looked Sarada over and noticed that she had a red area near her ankles and it showed 53%. I formed four shadow clones, which was my limit. They spread out around Sarada with a very fast speed. It took Sarada a while to notice them and all of them, together used fire style: Fireball jutsu. Four fireballs collided at the point where Sarada was. This would have killed a normal person, but Sarada was someone who could easily dodge it. It was only a distraction. I dug inside the ground and made my way to where I knew Sarada would land. It was going to be behind the last clone to take it from surprise. I quickly made my way and all the time, I saw Sarada above the ground with my eyes. She landed where I knew she would. She knocked out my clone and made it disappear and just the, I reached below her, grabbed her ankle and pulled her down. I got out again and saw her buried in the ground till her chin. She looked at me with anger and quickly got out.
She launched jutsu after jutsu at me and went into an attack frenzy. I knew what I had to do. I called upon my training with the female Byakugan user and said eight trigrams: thirty-two palms. I pressed Sarada's chakra points and managed to close off 75% of it. Her two tomoe flashed and flared at me. I ignored them. I said, "Sarada, one last thing. Rock fist jutsu." I raised my fist and the rocks from the time when Sarada had broken the ground flew to my hand and wrapped my fingers and knuckles. I formed a fist and brought it down. Hanabi-sensei caught it. I hadn't seen her move, but there she was. She said, "You wanna kill her? It is decided. You win." I deactivated my eyes and so did Sarada. She was about to fall down, but I caught her. I winced as a shot of pain went through my left hand, but I ignored it. Hanabi-sensei took Sarada on her back and led us to her home.
Sakura-san looked at us with anger and disgust. Still, she cured us. She went to another room with Hanabi-sensei and I could hear the faint sounds of words like, "Don't you know?... You are the teacher... Could have stopped them... Shannaroo!" I really hoped that she didn't punch the shit out of sensei. My conscience slowly retreated and I fainted.
I recovered and opened my eyes. My left arm had no pain left. I tried moving it and it did that just fine. I had been healed completely. I got up and saw the calendar on the wall. Then, my phone. I only had one day left till my training started with Sasuke-san. Sarada wasn't there on the other bed, I guess she had woken up already. I went out and found the mother and daughter sitting in the dining area. Sarada got up and rushed towards me when she saw me. I pulled her into a hug. I said, "I am sorry. I hurt you. I got carried away." Sarada shook her head and said, "I hurt you more. So, I am sorry." I quieted her with a kiss. "Well, well. Sarada, there go your fears of him being angry. Plus, that is very sweet of him. I mean, Sasuke didn't even say sorry to me. He just tapped two fingers of his right hand on my forehead. But, that was enough," Sakura-san said, sighing. Sarada said, "Me, too." We talked about this stuff for some time.
On the door step, Sakura-san and Sarada came to see me off. I was about to leave when Sakura-san suggested, "You know, Masaru, today being your last day, you should spend it with Sarada. I am just saying." I replied, "I would be more than happy if she complies." She did. We both left the house together, hand-in-hand, with no remembering of the fight that happened two days ago. It was going to be an awesome day.
Sasuke POV
Damn! I had just barely missed them. The people who were exchanging ninjas with normal humans. I could see that it was them from the files they had left behind in haste. One of them caught my attention. It was about the period of ninjas in the world. Not in my world, but in the other world. The world of the common people. In it, a period of ninjas was described in the common world. And, during that time, half of the world's population had forgotten how to be ninja.
This had happened before. Many people had developed new jutsus that we use today, but some became somewhat of a kekkai genkai. Three people had achieved top positions and greatness. People who claimed to be from the common world. People with pink eyes, like Masaru.
It was called the Ranmaru Dojutsu or the Ranmagan.
That's the 12th chapter. Stick around for Masaru x Sarada, full chapter. It will be the last one before the training with Sasuke.
