The children all helped rather excited, they then helped Jill carry it all through to the front room where Gordon and Sister Brigid had been busy getting it all ready "So what did you win" Asked Sister Brigid "We got some sweets and we get to have time alone with mum or dad to do what we want" said Katie "That's a good prize" said Sister "Right everyone enjoy" said Gordon For once there were no arguments on where they were sitting or who they were sitting next to everyone was laughing and joking they had almost forgotten that it was raining outside. When everyone had finished the children help tidy up, Gordon gave Sister Brigid a lift home, when he arrived back Jill was sat on the sofa relaxing the three oldest were playing a board game and Ash was sat colouring in. Gordon went and sat next to Jill who placed her head on his shoulder today was the first time in a long time she hadn't thought about the accident life was starting to get back to normal. The following morning Jill was sat at the kitchen table reading the newspaper and half watching the children playing in the garden. Gordon had already gone to work when the post arrived there wasn't much just a couple of bills but there was a letter for Jill, the date had been set for the court case and she had been called as a witness. Jill sat back down in her seat numb it was only a couple of weeks away, why had this happened she was just getting back to some sort of normality and this had just bought it all flooding back again. The sound of the children laughing brought her back around. There was only a few days left until the kids went back to school and she wanted to make the most of it the letter could wait for a few more days she took a couple of deep breaths and folded the letter back into the envelope and then put it away in the drawer before going outside and making the most of the sun with the children.
