News Reporter: Good Afternoon, I am Emily Dickinson, Joshua has the day off today. I am here to bring you a developing story. A cry of fear struck the city of Eastbay this afternoon after several holes appeared. Upon close inspection, the holes lead to... brace yourself for this, another dimension. Researchers and Scientists a like are studying this portals. Local authorities has advise all citizens of Eastbay to not under any circumstances enter these portals. Reportedly, three vihi... Excuse me there has been a new report on this developing crisis. It would appear the city of Eastbay is not the the only place plagued with these portals. Other places as far as Japan have reported on seeing strange portals. It is still advise to the public by local authorities to not under any circumstance enter the portals.
The elementary school teacher gasped as the tv suddenly turned off. The kids talked amongst themselves in a panic. Some of the kids had took this opportunity of confusion and left. Others stayed talking with their friends or talked to their parents over the phone.
Rena stared out awe out the window of the classroom. One of the portals floated a few feet from the school itself. Upon closer inspection, Rena noticed the portal lead to a familiar place. There was an urge to get up from her seat and walked to the window to get a closer look but she thought against it.
*Ring!*
Her cellphone startled her. She quickly dove her hand into her pocket and pulled it out. On the screen, it showed that her mother was calling. Without thinking she pressed the answer button.
"Rena! Rena, are you there!"
"Yes, mom I am. My school is in a panic right now! What is going o-"
"Don't worry about anything dear, listen. I want you to stay there and don't-*Click!*" The phone cut off. Rena pulled the phone from her ear and brought it to her eyes. The cellphone no longer responded to any of the buttons she pressed. The glowing screen remained off no matter what button she pressed.
"Stupid Metro piece of crap!" Rena yelled, before placing her cellphone on the desk. As she stuffed her things into her backpack, her cellphone came to life again with a loud ring. She stopped and stared at it in confusion before shrugging it off and putting the last of her pencils in her backpack. The television turned back with a loud shrill of static that echoed throughout the room startling everyone. The t.v then suddenly cut to the News anchor who had announced the event earlier.
News Anchor Emily Dickinson: I want to apologize for sudden interruption but it seems power everywhere had gone down temporarily. Not shortly after I was cut off there was a phone delivered to me by a Eastbay High School student. He was shaken to say the least and you'll see why. OK roll it!
The screen cut to shake footage of a young teenager holding a camera aimed at a young girl holding a boys head in her lap crying. The footage distorted for a moment before cutting to a teenage girl with her hand in front of her, levitating an lifeless boy into a portal. The footage repeated again showing the teenage girl levitating a lifeless teenager with dreadlocks into a portal.
That flipping cow! Rena thought, before opening the door and rushing outside.
After several minutes of running, Rena made it to the front door of her house. She quickly swung open the door and rushed upstairs to her brothers room.
"She caused all of this! She... *Sniff* took my brother! He better not be dead you... you!" Rena stopped, staring at the closet.
"I'm coming for you, Jean! I will make sure those stupid horses don't hurt you anymore!" Rena shouted. She then walked over to Jean's closet and opened it. After moments of shifting through clothes and a few hentai books, Rena found a paintball gun and a canister full of paintballs. Rena emptied her backpack onto the floor and stuffed as many canisters of paintball it could carry. When she was satisfied with amount of ammo she had, Rena loaded the paintball gun and swung her bag onto her back.
...Quills shop...
A sudden wave of sadness hit the dark blue stallion before he placed a small box on the counter. Blaze stopped and stared outside. He noticed crowds of ponies trotting in the same direction. Blaze trotted towards the front door of the shop and slowly opened it. There was worried talk amongst stallions and mares alike. Blaze looked up at the sky and noticed strange holes amongst the grey skies. He beckoned one of the stallions.
"What's going on?" Blaze asked, after gaining the attention of a white stallions.
"There's these portals leading to a different place appearing everywhere. Princess Celestia is going to tell us what is happening!" The stallion answered.
"Where at?"
"In front of Town Hall! Come on!" The white stallion urged. Blaze took one look at his shop before trotting after him.
...Bubble Shine's house...
The green stallion stared outside in awe, looking at the portals. All the same size but appeared in different areas. Some amongst the grey clouds showing a sunny sky, others blending in showing a similar grey sky.
"What the hay is going on?" He asked. After a few moments of silence, Bubble Shine tore his gaze from his window and trotted into the kitchen. Just as he reached for a bottle of milk, a sudden feeling of sadness shot through him. Then a sudden memory pulled him away from reality.
"Are you serious Jennette? The guy looks like one of those creeps. Besides, he just ran from us!" He said. Jennette looked at him, brushing her shiny, long, black hair. She smiled at him then turned to the direction the boy ran in.
"Let me talk to him first. I think he's a bit nervous..." She said.
Bubble Shine quickly shook his head, bringing him back to reality. In his memory, he was talking to a species similar to Jean's. But who was she and why was it part of his memory? Shine's heart began to beat fast as fear and confusion clouded his mind.
*knock! *knock!*
The loud bang on his door caused him to jump.
"Wh-Who is it?!" Bubble Shine called out.
"Princess Celestia's royal guard! All ponies of Ponyville must attend the PSA being held at Town Hall!" The guard said. Bubble Shine let out a sigh.
"Ok." He said, trotting towards the front door.
...Eastbay High School, California...
Rena stood still on the sidewalk watching as people run into their street, save for a few desperate looking people, was empty. The people who ignored the warning of the news anchor, willingly walked into the portals.
Rena looked up at the sky, and drew in a deep breath. She then ran as fast as she could into the high school. Drawing in a deep breath, Rena stepped in. In less then a second, Rena found herself standing a few feet away from a farm house. Rena looked back at the portal she stepped through and sighed. Rena quietly observed her surroundings before spotting a three small ponies standing in front of what looked like a tree house. Rena took a step in their direction but stopped feeling she stepped at what she first thought was a small stone. She quickly retracted her foot only to see that it was a cellphone. Rena kneeled down and picked it up. Unfortunately, she cracked the screen under her shoe but its existence assured her she was headed in the right direction. A tear fell from her eye upon remembering seeing her brothers lifeless body being carried into the same portal she entered.
...30 minutes earlier...
Celestia, Pinkie, Twilight, and Najmi silently walked through the portal stopping only to observed their surroundings. Twilight slowly placed Jean's body on the ground as she tried to catch her breath.
"Twilight?" Pinkie called out.
"Not... Now... Pinkie... I didn't know... Carrying him... Would take so much magic." Twilight said, gasping in between words.
"Don't worry, I will carry him. Where are we taking him?" Najmi asked, picking the lifeless teenager up from the ground.
"To the hospital... We can only hope that the doctors can do the-"
"Can't you bring him back! You've must have a spell... Or there must be a spell that we could use."
"Twilight."
"I am sure with just enough... Research..."
"Twilight."
"You're a bucking Princess! You... You can't just tell me to leave him... In the bucking hospital! He..." Twilight covered her face with her hands and sobbed bitterly. Najmi swallowed hard upon realizing we was carrying a dead body. Pinkie rushed to Twilight's side, bring her into a hug.
"It pains me to say this but we can't worry about him. Discord... is on the loose and for the sake of the human world and Equestria we have to find him and trap him back into the statue." Celestia said. Her back still turned. Without another word, Princess Celestia began to walk. Twilight wiped her eyes and pushed Pinkie away.
"I can't believe you would say something like that! There has to be something to-"
"Twilight, I will go on to Ponyville ahead of you. You and your friends can take Jean to the hospital. Afterwards, I want you to report to Princess Luna. She will help you gather the while I warn everypony about these portals. Do you understand?" Celestia interrupted. There was a brief silence amongst the group.
"I understand... The benevolent princess I knew is nothing more than a freud." Twilight said, causing Pinkie to gasp. The words stung but Celestia merely turned herself back into pony form and disappeared into a flash of white light. There was again silence amongst the group before Pinkie broke it by letting out a whimper.
"I will transport us to the front door of the hospital." Twilight said suddenly.
"That beats the hell out of walking." Najmi laughed. Twilight glared at him causing him to stop.
...Back to present...
Rena stared at the dirt path and noticed it leading to somewhere but the lack of footprints made her second guess not asking the three ponies for help.
"Freakin pony central again." Rena sighed, before running towards the group.
...Ponyville Square...
Snickerdoodle waited impatiently amongst the crowd of talking ponies. Each talking about the portals that now surrounded their homes and the strange creatures that appeared from them. Just as she was about to adjust her scarf, a wave of dread washed over her. A tear quickly formed from her eye and traveled down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away and looked about her.
From a distance, a black unicorn stallion watched her every movement. Quietly scheming.
Suddenly, a hush fell over the signalling the arrival of Princess Celestia. The princess appeared on the top step of the concrete stairs which lead into the Town Hall. There was a worried look across her face, as she prepared herself to speak.
...
The blonde hair tall teen wandered aimlessly amongst the crowd of yelling people. Looters and police alike running to and fro. Roy, brushed back his hair and smiled as desperate people ran past him. The sky above, slowly formed grey heavy clouds over head giving evidence of a winter rain that would soon arrive to the Eastbay town.
"Too bad I don't have all of my power back. I would love to see how these humans react to chocolate milk rain." Discord laughed.
Y-You fucking killed him!
"Still pretending you care about the brat, eh? How funny!" Discord laughed.
Give me my body back you asshole!
"So you could do what? Run back to Jean and give crocodile tears? Might not be a bad idea. Twilight and Pinkie would need a new hole filler." Discord chuckled as he watched a police man pull out his gun. A man from seemingly nowhere, pushed the cop causing him to tumble over. The gun slid from the cops hand towards him but stopped a few feet away. Discord quickly ran to it, picked it up, and stuffed it in his back pocket.
Yo-You shut the fuck up! I-
"Took you awhile to say something my boy. Though after see Pinkies yummy new figure, I'd hesitate too. The life you wanted and the way you go about trying to get it... Is not different from how I want to try to spread my ideas o-"
Don't compare me to you! I am not even close to being like you! You fucking monster!
Discord stopped Roy's body in the middle of the cross walk, folding his arms across his chest.
"Oh? Me the monster? Well, let's go back Roy, shall we? The day after your mother died in that horrible accident, what action would you call stealing food even though your grandma took care of you? Or that time you bullied a poor innocent little human into giving you his soda. Or that one time you orchestrated that nasty attack on Jea-"
Stop! Just stop! Roy cried.
"Well if you insist. But the point I was making, why worry about a brat who you hated anyway," Discord suddenly forced his spirit out of Roy. Roy stumbled a bit but remained on his feet. When his vision returned, Roy found himself staring face to face with the horrible dragon type creature. His yellow eyes with glowing red pupils stared holes into Roy. "What is the point of looking out for a spoiled teen who stole the life you deserved? Jean had a family who loved him, friends if you could believe that, and to top it all off... seven mares who would ride him any time he pleased. He wasn't in need of any of that. You needed that. Now more than ever! And now it's time for you to take." At this point Discords eyes began to swirl into a mesmerizing pattern. Roy, despite the chaos around him, stared deeply into Discords eyes. Holding on to each word the horrible creature spoke.
"It's time for you to take what Jean unrightfully claimed! And I know just the pony who would fit your lust!" Discord smiled. Roy did the same, now completely under his spell.
